First off, the service is excellent! Several different groups of elderly came in & the servers greeted them kindly & helped them to their tables ever so gently. We were visiting from AZ & this food is just like our favorite Mexican restaurant that we go to weekly at home. I got the shredded beef taco & cheese enchilada, so good! My husband got the carnitas platter, a very generous portion & he said it was even better than our favorite restaurant at home. The margaritas were excellent as well, generous pours. We will definitely come back next time we're in town & we're visiting some friends that were RVing it for a few weeks here, we'll be spreading the word to them. We came for dinner on a Friday night in a group of 3. The wait was about 20 minutes and then we were seated and the real wait began. There was a long wait between visits to our table for drinks (which took a second visit to actually arrive and we only asked for water), to take our order and then for food to arrive. The food was a real mix of delicious and MEH. The tacos were super tasty but the tamales were fairly tasteless. The rice was good but the beans were just...fine. And the total for three people--no drinks!--was $91 with the tip. Definitely overpriced for what we had in the food and the experience. Price of a one enchilada combo meal is $15. The cost of a two enchiladas combo meal is $26. It costs $10 to add an enchilada to the meal??? I wanted to leave without eating but I was with other people. Also, we asked for more salsa since nobody wanted to use the 'spicy' version and the mild version went fast. Did they bring more salsa? NoRidiculous! Then when the enchiladas dinner came, it had a weird sauce on it instead of red enchilada sauce...terrible with pieces of corn in it. Why not give the customer a choice if you don't use traditional red sauce. My recommendation is avoid this place! read more

All the proteins were overcooked and the tortilla were lukewarm and stiff. The Cadillac margarita was to sweet. Restaurant is large and separates into another area. Walk in and wait to be seated. Looking at the menu we FINALLY found a place that put refried beans in the nachos and had to order them. Plate came out piping hot and everything was evenly spread on the chips. The plate could have been licked clean! We ordered the combo plates and had a mini buffet tasting beef tacos, chicken enchiladas, pork tamales, and the chicken chimichanga. You couldn't go wrong with anything you picked. Restaurant was a nice size, they placed a Hispanic music and not crazy loud. They sat us right away and then brought out chips and salads. The chips were crispy and the salsa was ok. I had a chille relleno which was ok but no flavor. I also had a carnitas tostada and the beans were delicious and they provided a good amount of meat but the meat was bland. I needed to add salt and hot sauce. My SIL had the chile verde which was good but missing a little spice. My husband and daughter had the cheese enchilada which was ok but again the sauce was missing something. Now they had the crunch chicken taco and wow it was amazing. We all agreed that we would come back for the tacos. The shell was crispy and the filling was flavorful and juicy. Def the stand out of our meal. Chile relleno is my favorite thing to order when I go out. The seemed like maybe they were having a hard time with service/staffing, everyone just seemed sad/stressed. ( working in food is hard, I understand rough days happen) . This place was really a good find. I ordered Ala-carte, the beef tamale and a beef chimichanga. The tamale was great! So much flavor inside and out. The chimichanga was equally delicious and came with rice and refried beans with melted cheese on top. Add their habanero sauce and BAM! You also receive complimentary chips and salsa. I always enjoy tasting the differences in every Mexican restaurant's version of their habanero sauce/salsas. Sometimes they maybe a little watery, but this place's version had just enough thickness to thinly coat your chip. Their ice tea was refreshing as well. So if you're in Mesquite, give them a try. We thought for sure they were no longer in business .We ended up finding them on the other side of the strip mall . We were seated right away. They brought out chips & 2 kinds of salsa. One was hotter than the other. Both of the salsa were really good. We ordered a pork tamale, pork enchilada & beef taco with rice & beans . This was good . The pork had a lot of flavor. The rice was really good. The portions are big. We also got a single chicken chimichanga with rice & beans. This was very good . The rice had a good flavor . I would recommend coming here. We are new in Mesquite Nevada so with a four star yelp review we tried this restaurant. We saw all sorts of signs on the door for help wanted which is not a good sign for a restaurant. We waited to get in got a table and waited unusually long time to get our food. When the food finally arrived my husbands was not very good he had a chicken enchilada and beans and rice which he said was probably not the best that he'd ever eaten. I had a beef taco and rice and it was OK but just OK Sorry to say I could not give this restaurant more than two stars.
