The ride to the port, we were crammed into a smaller SUV. On the way back, the SUV was smaller and 3 of us sat with the carryon luggages on our laps. The ride both ways was a bit over an hour. The owner was contacted. Yes, she took full responsibility for miscommunication, however, no other compensation was offered for our inconvenience both ways. Each way was $125 and we were told to also include tip.....hence $150 for each way. Totally totally disappointed with how our concerns were handled.

Three days before the trip I emailed and confirmed all the details. I then get a nasty reply that the cost listed in one way, vice round trip. Note his original email was " $$$$$ ALL INCLUSIVE" Don't know about you but "ALL INCLUSIVE" means "all inclusive". I went back and accepted the new price, but included his original email quote with the price and the ALL INCLUSIVE. I stated I understood the change but please be careful of what you define as all inclusive as it is misleading for a ROUND TRIP QUOTE ---- which he promptly said was the price for one way and that I should "CALL SOMEONE ELSE" I never asked to cancelled and had even accepted the double price for the trip --- but he was nasty, curt and cancelled my reservation because "he can". Frankly --- I can't believe he stays in business and does this to long time paying customers. Good email communication from Sarasota County. Gated. This is a very tiny campground so it's difficult to get a reservation unfortunately. There's a size limit on the campers as it is fairly tight getting into your site. You must pack your patience when coming in and going out due to there being only one single road with the sites situated on each side of the road. Your vehicle is a tight fit as well. Tents welcome. Safe for kids. Bathhouse used to be available and it was quite nice but they had to remove it after hurricane damage. Now there are bath/shower trailers. There's a very lovely park next door with a new playground, kayak rentals and a boat ramp.
