A great theater experience watching 'The Haygood's. Such a talented family putting together high energy, top tier entertainment. They really engage the audience with humor, pyrotechnics and surprise overhead movements. Concessions are convenient with a nice variety - including in the theater itself. Very comfortable seating. The shows are just exceptional. We saw Clay Cooper one evening and the Haygoods another night. The parking is well organized and easy in and out. The lobby has a full service food stop for nuts, popcorn, hot dogs and drinks. The people are absolutely the most friendly staff and happy doing what they do. The theater could use a much better setup for restrooms as you get a quick 15 minute intermission and the women's, men's and food Line all co-mingle and block the theater doors. It becomes a complete mess but happy people just make it doable. Still something to make 1058 people "flow" through the restroom lines better would be helpful. We are planning already how to get back here in October. Love this place and the shows. read more

Went to see Haygoods ( sold out show). The lobby is very crowded but sufficient. Parking is terrible. We were told to move out a parking spot in front, and directed by parking guards to a building 1/2 block away at the pancake restaurant in back. The guard there said I must park where there is no spot, or go across the highway and walk back ( in the rain and traffic). Wound up damaging my car, due to an unseen concrete barrier..where the guard directed me ( over my protest) it not being a designated parking spot. Won't go back there, no matter who is performing. It's not worth it. read more

My husband and I loved this show! Every second! Clay Coopers Country express is a MUST see! Besides the show being top notch, their staff is the kindest and some of the most friendly people we have encountered in branson! We decided to purchase the dvd from last nights show (6-16) and we waited about 5 minutes in the lobby when a young girl came out with a handful of DVDs! She was immediately crowded by dozens of people who shoved their cases in her face, but despite the pressure on her, she was SO KIND!!! She thanked every single person for coming to the show. She remained very intentional with every single person. I was blown away. The ladies working the gift shop were also so kind and answered any questions I had. It takes all people in this theatre to make the show run how it does, the performers were AMAZING! But I just wanted to brag on those who are bit more behind the scenes. Clay Cooper Theatre - Dean Z - Music Venues Near Me - Branson, Missouri

This was an excellent show in an incredibly well thought out theater. The clay Cooper show is a combination of Clay or a cast ember hilariously participating with an audience member combined with excellent music from astoundingly good musicians. It was remarkable how all of the musicians and nearly all of the singers were. Clay, himself, is remarkable in his memory and is ability to add with audience members. It is also quite long. Lasting, with a late intermission, at about 2 1/2 hours. If you get frustrated by all the chatting with the audience, early on, don't worry, they perform a remarkable number of songs with, as I said, excellent singers, musicians, and dancers. Don't expect a continuous music concert. I would estimate that about 30% of the show is audience participation and somewhat silly but funny musical skits. Advice/warning: 1) Get to the theater early, because people begin filling up the parking lot 30 minutes before the show. 2) Don't bother with VIP seats. We had terrible seats, in the front row, all the way to the right of the right section. They were awful. If you are going to spend extra, only get VIP seats in the center section. We couldn't see the projections screens and had difficulty seeing the soloists. Get seats somewhere farther back anywhere in the theater. Balcony seats v are great, because they are individual chairs that aren't crammed together with expansive leg room and tiered so you easily see over those in front of you. 3) they let you bring outside drinks. read more

Was able to bring my two elderly sisters to see Randy Travis tribute. Got 3 seats in the balcony. Was able to get them upstairs with no problems via the elevator, other then another patron making a rude comment. Like we were doing something wrong having elderly, disabled people use an elevator. Got to the balcony area showed the usher our tickets, only to have him come back scratching and shaking his head that the box we were supposed to be seated in was full of stuff. Yes you read that correctly the box was full of stuff, a motorcycle helmet, various, multiple cords, what looked like tarps and lots knows what else. Took the usher repeated conversation with management about what do you want me to do with these 3 elderly ladies waiting to be seated, with tickets in their hand? The work around was eventually revealed to the usher that said stuff should all be pushed and piled to one side of the box, the blame should be placed squarely on the Haygoods for leaving their stuff. Never mind the Coopers sold the tickets and did not ensure that the stiff was cleared out. And the ladies should be ushered up to the box and seated there 30 minutes later. Eventually some young fellow came around to see if we were settled in. And I replied oh we're fine. And it's all okay and good unless either me bbn or one of my sisters trips over these piled up cords in the box here. Then it wont be good or okay. Then it will be bad and not okay. At my suggestion he gave us a complimentary bad of kettle corn for our troubles and inconvenience. I, like the usher was astounded and taken aback at the condition of this balcony box and the fact that clay Cooper still sold seats in the box that the Haygoods were clearly using for storage. Really, this is a professional theatre and this is how you conduct yourselves and do business. Really! I have not done a yelp review as of yet. But I intent do . Let me copy and paste my note just now. Clay Cooper if you want people's business and hard earned money, remember that there are alot of theatres and shows in Branson to choose from. If you want people's money and business DO BETTER CLAY COOPER. read more

I am sorry for this negative review but I can't in good conscience recommend this show to anyone primality because of the " swing" bit. He brings up an elderly women and they sit on a swing on stage and hold hands for what feels like an eternity. This is the most cringe thing I have ever seen. What part is that the show would be ok if they just removed this cringe swing bit. Please please please retire this swing and replace it with literally anything and it would a drastic improvement. I will ever pay for its disposal. No more SWING please! read more

Saw the Matt Gum and Company season opening show. What a fun time. Matt is so talented. He can imitate almost any singer, actor or politician. His rendition of Willie Nelson and Julio Iglesias singing "All the girls I've loved before" is a riot, and spot on. His "and Company" is his Mom and Dad, his sister and his two talented young daughter and son. There's also a friend who is like family. All of this, and the fantastic backup band make for a wonderful evening. It's a show for the whole family. Don't miss it if you're in Branson. We saw the 60's hits show and​ it was a lot of fun, the cast was very energetic and entertaining. Lots of costume changes and more than 100 songs your probably​ know by heart. Seats were more comfortable than the other theatre​ we went to in Branson but I may not be the best to comment on that having only bin in two theaters. Still,​ I was comfortable through the whole 2 plus hour show. There was an intermission so you get a bathroom break, opportunity to buy snacks or a drink. And of coarse they try to sell you dvd's, t-shirts, and trinkets. Actually for touristy stuff the prices were pertty good on that stuff if your into it. If you know me at all you'd know I am very picky about sound quality, loudness, and lighting. I have a background in music and live performance, I've been in a number of bands, choirs and professional groups. I've owned recording studios and done sound engineering so it make me pickier than most. Last, I have hearing damage from an infection that causes me to be overly sensitive to loudness and noise. The sound was loud and mostly pretty good, but the sound engineer was pushing the limits of the room and it was louder than needed and overdriving​ the speakers. Sounds from S's, T's and P's can be managed to sound good while loud or if done poorly can be somewhere between annoying and painful. For me,​ the S's, T's and P's were painfully loud and sharp. During the intermission,​ I had to go out to my truck and get my audiophile grade ear plugs. After-which, I was able to more fully enjoy the music. That was not necessary at the other theatre we attended this weekend. (Added later) When I asked my wife she had no issues with the sound, it was just my being overly sensitive to it. I would give them a 4.5 stars if I could. read more

Recently saw the Hits of the 50s 60s show. I commend them for energy and great costume changes. But to me it was Up With People does the hits! A bit corny and didn't capture the sounds of the times. But better than Jersey Nights or Bee Gees for sure! Beautiful theater with great sound. read more
