Started with parent and tot and now they're on their own in a group setting. They've been advancing appropriately and it's been a great experience. Prices are sign up are easy to find on the website. The facility, locker rooms, restrooms, showers all top notch. Lifeguards are always on top of things. Swimming trainers are great, give updates at the end of every class of how our children are doing. I don't remember all their names but Alyx has been amazing every time she has been a teacher for our child. They're patient and kind and make our kids as comfortable as possible. Highly recommended.

The good, the bad, and the ugly…read more The Good- I have found this business to be such a beneficial haven for teaching water safety at very young ages. My father reminds me that there was nothing like this when I was a child, so I can say I am truly blessed. The staff are always bright eyed and bushy tailed, though, I have seen some of the swim teachers grab a red bull before the start class. I sum this up to: everyone has a life outside of work. Still these teachers are working hard and always on top of it. Often there are little events that give treats or celebrations to the kids, and recently there has been an upgrade for the parents! COFFEE BAR! I don't know what parent has survived child raising without a little bean water here and there. This location recently started a coffee bar that has 3 (2 caffeinated and 1 decaf) types of coffees, the sugars, creamers, and even some hot chocolate for the kids! It is nicely displayed and organized with two Keurig's. I really must say it is another blessing to have the convenience of trusted teachers caring for my child and her growth with water safety and coffee to help me tackle the challenges I will go on to experience outside the home. If you are reading this and considering coming here, there's more. :) The staff are very accommodating when you have a change in your schedule and need a different class to join. There is also an app that helps you see your next four weeks out and plan to cancel a lesson because you will be out of town. This is also where you can sign up for your "make-up" classes. The Bad- Hmm. A few things to discuss. We have been attending now for 7 months and for my infant we have had 3 teachers assigned. This can be disorienting for the child, but also the parent swimming with the baby. Each teacher has a different method of introduction and sequence of the lesson. This can be confusing once you're set on the sequence from the previous teacher. Only once was this change made without a notice ahead of time, but might happen more often to other parents. A bad about the app is that you can only schedule your make-up classes a week in advance, but you can cancel a class up to four weeks ahead of time. The Ugly - Over the course of 7 months there have been 4 or 5 classes canceled for all the customers. There have been issues with the pool temperature mechanism, a chlorine ratio issue (too much), and weather disruptions. Most of these events are not preventable, but customers should be aware that they will NEED to plan to use their "make-up" classes. I would give a 4 star because there are negatives, but with the level of customer service and friendliness I have received from the staff, they deserve 5 stars. Come try out the Aqua-tots at N Richland Hills and while you're at it grab a cup of coffee ;)

There's lounging chairs that go pretty quickly as well as the tubes for the lazy river. The lifeguards are very nice very well trained, constantly looking, constantly watching everyone to make sure no one is in distress. And yes, there are a lot of lifeguards which is really great considering how many people are there. There are rules to to the aquatic center too many for me to mention here, but if you want to check it out, go to their website. When I checked on the website, for the past couple days, it said it was closed, but the best thing to do is call to make sure it is open. Even the day I went the website online said it was closed. If you remind yourself the pool is mainly for the kids, then it helps the sting of getting to the pool and having no lap lanes available. Having lived in multiple states and having swum at many pools, always having a set number of lanes open to the public is one way to get around that. But they try very hard to be accommodating. To the reviewers of the front desk: Monica and the rest of the staff are actually very nice. My first 1-2 visits were cordial, but after just a few visits you'll realize they are very nice and caring. Plus everyone has a bad day. The pool manager and lifeguards are also very kind. To the mother who's kids were cold: the pool is kept in the low 80's. I used to teach swim lessons and many children shiver. So they just must keep moving. A pool warmer than the low 80's is too hot for competitive swimming, which is what this pool is designed for. You might search out a pool that works with folks with medical problems or a pool designed only for giving lessons. Those pools are kept around 90 degrees. It's also a myth that you can catch a cold from being cold. So most likely your kids were already sick when they got to the pool.

Ms Kona had my kids floating on their backs in the first couple of lessons. The main purpose of the class is survival, so the babies/kids are shown how they should move in the water, flip to their back, then float. And then it's repeated over and over for them to develop the correct muscle memory of those movements. The cost seems expensive, especially compared to other "normal" swim classes in the area. But these are one-on-one lessons that get a LOT done in 15mins, 4-days a weeks. I'm always referring friends, neighbors, and even strangers to FlipKick. Kona is great! Her staff is great!

They have now changed their cancellation policy which makes you give 30 days notice so you have to pay for an extra month even though you have no desire to go again. They also changed their make up class policy which makes it way more difficult to do make up classes. Obviously these changes are to hold on a little bit longer before the doors close. Signature Group Training Classes: Many members don't know that our membership includes these awesome classes. If you've been to Orange Theory Fitness, the GTX classes are a very similar concept minus the rower. I love the combination of cardio and strength training, making you that strong hybrid athlete! Big shoutout to my favorite coaches - Christa on the weekdays; and Aaron on the weekends. 2. Dynamic Personal Training: Well, I thought I didn't need this since I've been exercising for years, but after taking a complimentary session, I decided to commit. I have to brag about coach Victoria. She has taught me so much! My form for upper body training was off all this time - apparently, I don't keep those shoulders down to avoid injury/strain. I'm now lifting heavier: weight down, more skeletal muscle mass, and less percent body fat. I could go on, but it's worth the extra money and time. 3. Lifetime app: If you can't make it to the gym, they have on demand classes to take your workout with you. I actually use this quite often when I can't make it there physically, and simply look at the training plan to help guide my workouts. 4. Kids Academy: You can drop off your kiddos before your workout to keep them entertained. This is a huge plus for busy parents, and the kids can sign up for classes. 5. Other cool amenities: There's a sauna, cafe, swimming pool, and spa. You literally can do your nails, but I haven't used their services yet. Oh, they even have pickle ball classes and obviously a pickle ball court for free play. 6. Equipment: I'm used to having only 2-3 squat racks and fighting/waiting on those. There's plenty to go around here! I also love to use those bumper plates; they keep them in good condition. 7. Treadmills: The treadmills are so nice to run on. They even have a sled pushing mode. I typically run on Bootcamp training mode to easily adjust the incline and speed. The only downside is they don't have a built-in fan. The entire place is kept pretty clean with a water filling station, fresh towels, mats, etc. I almost forgot to mention they have a recovery/stretch area. I can go on all day, but long story short, you should do a free tour to see what you're missing out on.

I stayed to watch the entire session and I was extremely impressed. Edwin really engaged the girls and made them think about their safety. He taught situational awareness and had them do several hours of hand to hand self defense moves. Most of these girls have never hit anything, so for them fight to protect themselves was very empowering. I learned many moves that my own self defense class didn't teach me. I would recommend this class to anyone wanting a refresher and all parents wanting to give their kids some knowledge on what to do if they are attacked. Edwin and Terry were great instructors and the girls were so pumped up leaving the studio. Money and time well spent!
