I have played Signal many times at various times of year. It's OK at best but probably wouldn't survive if we had more courses to choose from here. It's fun because at least the first 11 holes are fairly open so if you miss the fairway you're not 100% screwed. The greens are "green" in color, look nice, but are usually super shaggy. You can essentially just aim at the hole and hit it very hard. Putts don't break and you can't go too far past the hole so it helps your scoring but it's not much of a challenge. The fairways and tee boxes are generally spotty. If we've had a lot of rain they can be decent but during dry spells they get hard and clunky quickly. There is no rough to speak of, it's just harder and sandier ground than the fairways. BL: if you can get the locals rate it's an "OK" deal but if there were more places close to my house I wouldn't play here very often. Legacy Golf Course it just a few miles away and when it is in good shape it is WAAYY better for about the same price. However, as of May 2026 Legacy greens have all died off and it is a disaster. rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was bad enough that people should know what they're paying for. We showed up for our tee time only to find out there was a 2 1/2-hour delay, and no one bothered to call, text, or email us beforehand. A simple heads-up would have saved us hours of waiting. The course conditions were awful, especially considering the price. The tee boxes were in terrible shape, there was mud and sand everywhere, and there was even construction equipment and work happening in the middle of a fairway. The greens were some of the slowest I've ever played--more like putting on carpet than an actual golf green. To make matters worse, the course is insanely overpriced for the condition it's in. You expect premium conditions when you're paying premium rates, and this course wasn't even close. And before anyone assumes this is just because we played poorly, our group actually finished 3-under par. This review has nothing to do with the score and everything to do with how poorly the course was maintained and how badly the delay was handled. Until they improve the conditions and communicate with customers, I can't recommend playing here. read more

80 dollars for this goat pasture is wild. Might be the worse greens I've ever played. Just in atrocious condition. Drive 20 mins down the road and pay 20 more dollars, it'll be worth it. Gave it 2 stars bc the snack bar at the turn had the best cheeseburger and hot dogs that I've ever gotten at a golf course. The older lady running it couldn't have been nicer. read more

It's the worst course i've played at. The fairways was okay not the best. The green are atrocious very hairy and slow looks like a fairway and seems like it hasn't been cut in months. The bunkers are the worst. Cart paths are terrible there some holes where there's not even a cart path and some of the cart paths are muddy and i got stuck. The tee boxes are awful straight dirt and sand and seems like they haven't cut it either. Also the nats and bugs are awful they wouldn't get off your body. They would stay on your skin and bug you for the whole round.I wouldnt recommend to play unless you want to waste money a a terrible course like this. read more

Played 4 holes today with family. Rented clubs. Rained heavy after 4 holes, coarse had to shut down. They gave us pro rated money back for golf but not the rentals. We were able to only play 4 holes and they charged us full club rental fee. I don't think we will be back. They can't control the weather but they can treat customers properly if they want them back. read more

Course was absolutely horrible, maybe the worst course I've ever played in my life. The greens were like putting on a motel carpet, they sucked. They need to call an exterminator for all the crab grass on the greens. Teeboxes were absolute horrible, might as well tee off from the flower bed with how much dirt was on them. Some tee boxes were like swinging a baseball bat because they were so uneven. The price is absolutely outrageous for such a diabolically terrible course. The course Marshall was absolute booty hole, I asked what the course record was and he said 5 hours 44 mins don't worry about breaking it like a jerk. Shoutout to him because I almost broke it, loser. He can come tee it up with me anytime and play me with how much talk he had. Don't waste your time playing this awful, terrible, no good course. I recommend trying out this course so you can see how absolute poop it is. read more

This golf course played like how you would expect an accessible Florida golf course to play. If it did not have the typical overpriced panhandle greens fees it would actually be a knock out course to play, but for $70 (ride 18) its probably like most cities' muni courses. For the most part the fairways were in good condition without a lot of rough patches, probably half the greens had some burnt out sandy areas but mostly around the edges. Overall the course plays pretty short at being 5600 from the back tees. Not an overly challenging course, mostly only bunkers in play, not much water in tough spots. Club house/staff was friendly and chill. No beverage cart and some water refill stations throughout the course but since you cant have a personal cooler you can only get a bev at the club house before your round or on the front 9 or else youll be stranded with nothing. If paid $50 to play here I would be much more pleased for what I got. read more

Paid $72. Literally the worst course I've ever played by far. Looked like a war zone. Just hard as a rock fairways. And where it's not, it's just sand. I'm not talking about bunkers. A few of the tee boxes were sand with some grass mixed in. Weeds growing up out of the greens. It's like an average municipal course that was abandoned 5 years ago and has had no maintenance. By no means were they lacking in customer service. Everyone was very nice and helpful. From the clubhouse to food side. BUT, the course itself was very lackluster. Tee boxes were some of the worst I've seen. Greens were abysmal. Looks like they hadn't been taken care of in years. If it was half the price I unfortunately would've still felt ripped off. Played 18 here last week while on vacation, course was in great shape, lots of challenges for all levels of players. Stopped at the clubhouse for a hotdog at the turn and never lost pace with the group behind us. Played this course today with a 7 AM tee time. (1st tee time of the day) I was a single and end up getting out as a single around 6:40. They allow walk ups from 6:15 until 7 with no tee times. So I was surprised when I arrived and there were 3 groups teeing off. I was a little disappointed and was afraid it was going to be along day behind some groups. However, they all were nice and let me go through before the I started the back 9. Employees and Staff - 8/10 (nice and helpful) Conditions - 3/10 Greens - 2/10 (super hairy and slow) Fairways - 5/10 (most were pretty decent) Tees - 4/10 (most looked good but some not level) 7:00 AM tee time was about $70 Not completely worth it But location was decent Course Layout wasn't very good. Par 71 with 35-37 It was a really short course. 5500 yards or so The back side had a few challenging holes but not much at all. As a scratch golfer it's not a challenging course. I shot 66 (5 under) and was upset. If you are looking to try and break 60 as a scratch player it is the place to go If you are just looking to have a good time and don't care much on conditions it's the place to go If you are looking for an overall great layout and conditions do not play here. Finally, $70 is high for this course but there was a lot of people willing to pay it so I look for it to go up more and more. Hopefully it'll get better. I'll post my score card later. read more

This course is in very rough shape. You can tell they do very limited maintenance to the greens/fairways. We were constantly waiting all round due to the grouping of 6 3 groups ahead of us. By the 13th hole the 2 groups ahead of us had already left and we decided we had all we could take by the 15th hole. It being 100+ led to our decision but we would have played it out if we didn't have to wait 5-10 mins every time we got to the tee box. If this course will do more than the bare minimum in maintaining the course and ensure that groupings of more than 4+ do not pop up... It has potential to get back on track. Until then... I will not be heading back. read more

This course is affordable amd we'll kept. There are a few greens that need some work but you can tell they are putting a lot of énfasis on getting them health. Greens are slow, fairways are wide but a lot of sand traps and dunes. 17 was my favorite. Wish they had a range though. read more

Our group of 3 was pretty disappointed in this course. We paid $70 each person: no driving range, we were expecting halfway decent tee boxes and greens. They were cutting the grass at 1pm. Greens were long and fuzzy. Sand in more than half tee boxes, tee boxes were not level. This course simply was not worth $70, maintenance was terrible. I've played this course probably 5 or 6 times in my life and the maintenance has always been terrible. I've never seen this course up to date. This will likely be the last time I play this course unless they lessen the price to something more affordable and more accurately reflects the quality of the experience. Cheers! read more

Nice employees. The course was open on the front - par 37. Much tighter on the back - par 34. All of the greens were mostly flat. Sand traps, trees, water, etc. I enjoyed the course. Not too busy and played 18 in just over two hours. Worth the $40 fee. read more

Do not play here. I booked this tee time a month in advance and they raised the rates because of spring break with no warning or email. The course is in terrible condition and has maybe one tee box with grass, the rest are almost entirely sand. One of the worst courses I've ever played. Go literally anywhere else. read more

The best part about this course is that their price reflects their quality. I've played head a couple different times on vacation. It's a fun course because it's very short and there is almost no trouble off the tee or around greens. The course quality has been pretty subpar both times I've played (Feb). Sandy and slow greens, below average fairways, and pretty sad rough. Don't let the website photos fool you, it's usually in pretty rough shape. With that being said, if you're looking to get out and play some golf without breaking the bank, this place is perfect. Unlike other courses in PCB, they charge a reasonable price for what you get. Holliday Golf Club charged almost double the price for a course that was actually in worse condition. Overall, not a bad place to have some beers and get away for a couple hours. Just know what you're getting into. If you want a course with views, quality condition, and challenging, this is not the place. read more

Signal Hill Golf Course was a fun, low cost round of golf. The course was very easy so of course we had fun! I shot a 76 and I carry a 10.9 handicap. I could have scored even lower if the putter was rolling better. Most of the par 4s are under 300 yards long. The par 5s are reachable too. Staying nearby and wanted to play a quick round. Showed up, paid my $50 green fee, and asked for a token for the driving range, and was told they didn't have one. Strike 1. Was told by the starter that due to rain a few days before, no carts were allowed on the fairways (not even 90* rule). Strike 2. Then was told all of the tee boxes were being seeded and the greens were being seeded as well. Strike 3. All before I teed off. Paired up with a single and it took us almost 4 1/2 hours to finish a super short course because we had a Marshall who didn't seem to know how to get the groups in front of us to maintain pace of play. 10-15 minute waits on every tee box was Strike 4. All in all, spend the money and go to a better track unless you're a straight up hacker and don't care about things like course conditions or pace of play. read more

Listen, the course was torn up. But that's okay, I'm not a golf snob. I don't think the goal of Signal Hill is to be an elite golf course. I personally loved it. I was on vacation, I didn't want to put on khakis. The price was right. It was September. Expectations are everything. Overall a pretty decent golf course. We had a 7:25 tee time and showed up at 6:50 hoping to hit some range balls. There was no range and about 20 carts were lined up at the first tee because they accept walk-ups from 6:00 to 7:00, which pushes back the tee times of anyone starting closely after 7:00. We ended up teeing off about 8:00. Greens were thick and rolled extremely slow. Not one of my favorite beach courses I've played, but the course was pretty open and we did have fun. read more

This course was pretty rough. The difference between 9 holes and 18 is a $10 dollar difference. The grass was in very rough shape. The greens were the thickest and slowest greens I've ever played on.
