So I love Lowe's. They get a nice piece of everyone of my paychecks. The store is great like every other Lowe's. My complaint is the carts they expect you to use to bring lumber and plywood out of the store. There are carts left over from WWII in better shape. Today I nearly took out a child trying get six 2x4's. Yesterday the cart was so noisy OSHA should require hearing protection to push it through the store. I mean your a massive hardware store but can't spare a shot of WD40 on a caster of a push cart. The employees are nice and helpful and they have great products. I've had a pick up return scheduled (for a bathroom vanity) on 4 different days at 6 different time slots, talked to customer service, the return department and online chats and every time they "promise" the return will be picked up on a specific day and slot. Nope. Still no pick up. It's ridiculous bc I understand a return is last priority, but when you tell a customer a certain day and time and no one shows, then it happens 5 more times, so ridiculous. I've had to reschedule my days and clients and I get no notice, no call, text, or email that there has been a reschedule. Just a no show and left in the dark on when someone is coming. This review is based on multiple experiences with them. First it started with materials delivered for my deck. Simply put out of 9 separate deliveries made to my home 6 of them had issues, either the wrong materials where delivered (wrong size of post, screws etc.) or the amounts where wrong and worst of them all, a few times the materials where damaged which is not a huge deal when we are talking about a regular 2 x 4 or something like that but we built a composite deck and we had to return items numerous times just because they where chipped or scratch in a very noticeable way. Besides the deliveries, they messed up transactions made to my card, twice!!! the first one again, was the wrong amount, the second time they gave me a credit from somebody else which they couldn't fixed so I had to call my bank to inform them about a large purchase I was going to make to avoid having them block the card thinking it was fraud, then call Lowes, made a transaction with them so that they could get the money back. The last one (that I can remember) was an online order, I was picking it up by curbside... after waiting around 15 min a girl comes over and gives me part of the materials and tells me the guys will be bringing me the rest since they where mulch bags, top soil... heavy stuff, so I wait, and wait, 30 min in, I go into the store and asked about the rest of the materials. I was then informed I needed to go around the building to pick it up, that no one was going to bring it to me (they apologize because the girl was new). I then go around the building and a couple of kids take the receipt and tell me theyll load it in a min... they start loading it and finish rather quickly so I decided to check before I left, they loaded 4 bags of mulch and forgot the 4 bags of top soil. This is my preferred store for my home projects to do list. This time I'm working on my rock garden so I'm looking for hardy plants that can come back every year. They have plenty of plants to choose from, it also has clearance rack- all this plants needs is for someone to bring it home and provide them a lot of loving and attention. I end up buying hens and chicks, it's priced reasonably and the best part they give military discount. You have to register to their system one time, once your account has been established all you have to do is asked for military discount, using your phone # in the system the cashier will locate your account, then give you your 10% discount. read more

I'm not much of a home improvement guy but my wife loves shopping at Lowe's. I have not seen much of a difference from this chain compared to other chains. It's huge, not always easy to find what you need, and certainly will require asking for help. The difficulty I've always had with this kind of set up is how large the space is that it's not easy finding an employee to help you. Also, with there being so many departments not every employee you run into may know how to guide you to the right spot. I highly recommend taking advantage of shopping and ordering online through Lowe's! They will have what you need waiting for you in the front after you order. This will help cut down the aimless wandering around and make your experience there less overwhelming. Typically, Lowe's always has what you need it's just finding it. read more

Lied to about the status of my online order multiple times and the manager, Jim, could have cared less about that fact. Why does their website still say you can get product in 3-7 business days when they have no idea when the product will get to Lowe's warehouse from the manufacturer? This is a Lowe's exclusive product, you would think they would have more control over that. Corporate doesn't call back either like promised. never ever use Lowe's for contact work. when there's a problem LOWES WILL NOT fix it. we had french patio doors installed through Lowe's. when they came to install we were told they could not install the $499 screen we purchased we would have to call someone else for the screen. $1100 is what the screen ended up costing. even with signed contract with lowes i had to make multiple phone calls just to get my $499 back. I felt like they should have covered the additional cost incurred. but their corporate office tried to only give me $420. it took another phone call and email just to get what I was owed. I purchased an online order from Lowe's App after weeks of it saying it had arrived at the store and was ready for pick up, no one could find the produce I had ALREADY paid for. I had to go back 3 times before anyone could find it. After picking it up - I had purchased a 6 pack but instead the store gave me 6 individuals. After I go home to get them on they do not fit, I need to return but when I go to return they say the order number does not match the product (BECAUSE THE STORE GAVE ME THE WRONG SKU) I need to call online lowes. They cannot even EXCHANGE the product in store if it was bought online. I am not asking for my money back I'm only asking for store credit, no one can do that because it was online and they don't carry those in store. Customer service here is a joke. No one is properly trained- as no one seems to know what's happening or what's going on. The people who DO seem to know what they're doing are RUDE. Amber in customer service is particularly rude and inattentive. There were 4 people behind the desk at customer service, and they laughed and joked around in front of the customers TOO much. I don't mind the employees being normal people, but I also don't want to be completely ignored when spending thousands of dollars. The only person who really seemed like they knew what they were doing was the flooring manager. I think her name was Laura? Lauren?? She was very helpful. Lowe's delivery service is absolutely horrible. Two delivery guys made excuses on why they could not deliver and take away my mom's refrigerator stating that they could damage it due to the stairwell, but they did not even try. There are two entrances into her place, and they made poor excuses because they did not want to purchase the fridge if they damaged it, and they paid for losses before, and they didn't want to chance it, nor did they give me options and were not helpful. One of the delivery guys left out the back door leaving my mom's place open and left without saying a word. That is UNACCEPTABLE! They were more concerned with paying a fine or suffer losses rather than at least making an effort to deliver my mom's fridge. They asked us to disconnect he copper wire, and we did that and still they did not try to bring the fridge up. She now does not have either the new or the current one. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE! I ordered 3 doors from Lowes in March 2022. 1 single entry door and 2 Fiberglass French Doors. The installation associate Rom Eagan came to our house to measure, he didn't really measure just talked the whole time. When he finally left he sent the contract and insisted that our door entry was not standard and the doors we picked out would not fit. As such we needed to have special order doors which cost 3 times more than the doors we selected. After instructing him that this was not the case he stated the actual installer would determine if my doors would fit, which the installer later confirmed they would. On May 19 the installers arrived to do installation. Issue 1) They had been given the wrong single entry door at the store. Rather than delaying the installation we settled in that door. Issue 2). They only had 1 French door in stock to install, which I was informed by the installation company who informed me that the second door would be installed later that week. When calling the store I am told the door is located at the Lawrenceburg store and has to be inter store shipped. On June 17 I was told that the door was to be shipped to the store on June 20 and installed on June 22. It's June 27 still no door. When calling the store I leave messages and receive no calls. This could have been avoided with a simple call by the store with an update. I've spent a substantial amount of money at Lowe's in refurbishing houses. This will be my last purchase Lowes and will be taking legal action This is called customer service 101 read more

Warning - Warning- Warning Don't Purchase Appliances at Home Depot Learn from my recent experience with Home Depot and save yourself considerable trouble. I ordered a new deep freezer to replace an old freezer we'd had for years. The freezer was delivered and per the instruction I ran it for 48-hours to allow for cool down. Sure, enough the freezer was cool and had frost on the walls, thus I moved all the contents for the old freezer into the new smaller freezer filling it to capacity. I check on it the next two days and it seemed to be working but a few things on top we're not frozen completely hard, I pasted that off to the new freezer still getting everything frozen. I got busy with the moving and everything, not until six days later when I went to the freezer to get something for dinner did I find everything in the freezer had turned to total mush. We'd lost everything in this new eleven (11) day old May Tag freezer from Home Depot. Now Home Depot after assurances they would replace the freezer now tell me know we'll repair it but after 48 hours it's your freezer. Oh, I also purchased a dishwasher from Home Depot and they charged me $129.00 for installation. When the dishwasher arrived by what seemed to be a trucking company the two guys we're surprised when told they were to install the dishwasher. After a couple phone calls Curly and Moe who didn't know how to install a dishwasher or had tools to install a dishwasher, borrowed my tools and installed the dishwasher. Two hours later my sink cabinet and kitchen floor was covered with water. After twenty minutes on the phone to Home Depot the third person tells me they'll send the contracts back. Two hours later and more water in the floor I called Home Depot and was promptly put on hold, after 29 minutes I hung up and contacted a plumber to come install the dishwasher. No one from Home Depot ever showed up or called back. After three trips to Home Depot they finally refunded the installation fee. Save yourself a headache, don't buy at Home Depot. read more

They carry similar merchandise at prices that are very competitive with each other; but on two occasions I have experienced unexpected customer service at this store. The first time, in the spring of 2009, not long after we moved to the area, we experienced a problem with one of the landscape lights in front of the house. I have no idea how old this light system is, or where it originally came from, but I went to Lowes, Florence on a part hunt. The employee there was very willing to help in my search and when it became apparent that they did not have the individual part I needed, he took a light off the shelf and diassembled it to get me the part I needed. NO CHARGE. Just last Saturday we ordered a new grill. The model we had been looking at was on sale on lowes.com for $100 off the regular price. We ordered the grill and I called the store to request free assembly. No problem! Well, a slight problem, the assembled grill was missing a screw holding down one of the burners and a nut that was part of the warmer rack assembly. A trip back to the store yielded me a replacement nut off a floor model and a small bag of stainless steel screws. As expected, no charge. Are they perfect: No Should the grill have come to me without any missing pieces: Yes. But I do understand that these things do happen, and it is important to me the way they are handled. No hassle, get me what I need and let me go about my day. I'll keep going back for that kind of treatment. read more

We went in to get a grill as a gift. We picked it out and paid for that and other stuff then headed out to wait for someone to come out to unlock the grills. We waited about 10min before anyone came out, this part we were fine with. Then, Holly, the head cashier came outside. While talking on the phone she unlocked the grills and starting pulling one out. I told her I had a question for her when she got off the phone so she just stood there and finished her conversation, laughing and cutting up with whoever was on the other end. When she gets off the phone she says, you can ask a question if it doesn't require her to do extra work (really?!). I told her I wanted the grill behind the first one because the front one was dented and rusted. She says, "I'll do it but if we were busier I wouldn't". First of all, a company should expect this sometime when they keep all their merchandise OUTSIDE in the rain and bad weather. The front one looked terrible. Whether she was busy or not, I was not spending money on it. It was a GIFT, I wanted it to look like it was new, not 5yrs old! Not to mention, my boyfriend pulled the grills out and I put the one back in. SHE didn't even do anything extra. I told her thank you so much for doing that and she walked away and started talking to someone about wheelbarrows. Again, I stand there waiting patiently for her to get done, then she turns around, sees that I'm still standing there and walks inside. So now I have to go back in the store and find someone to help me because we had also purchased a new propane tank, which she knew because she circled it on the receipt!!! I asked for manager when I went back in. No manager was called but Holly shows up outside again. Gets us the propane tank and walks away again! I just spent A LOT of money in your store. I simple thank you would have been nice. I understand it's Saturday. I understand it's busy. But I worked in retail for 20yrs. We bought a Samsung washer and dryer from the Lowe's in Florence, Kentucky. They installed the appliances and said everything was set up. I went back to work and when I came home I found water was all over my laundry room floor. After calling them, they came out a few hours later and said the hoses were not tightened. Because our floor became so wet, it caused cracks in the floor after the worker moved the appliance back. Lowe's did not offer to fix or replace the floor they damaged. We also ordered pedastools for the washer and dryer. They still have not come in yet even though they were suppose to be in stock 2 weeks ago. I am very disappointed by their services! read more

My husband and I went in to purchase lighting, vanities and possibly countertops. Very very disappointed in the so called service we received. Pam who apparently works in the cabinets/countertops was of no help at all. We had waited on her for over 20 minutes after another associate went to tell her that we needed help. She had walked by us several times never once asked if we needed anything as we are standing right by the countertops. We seemed to have annoyed her by asking basic questions and we were ready to make a big purchase. The folks in the lighting area were exactly the same way. As much as I like the products that Lowes offers I do believe I will no longer shop there due to lack of customer service. Probably underpaid too. Employees are so helpful, and share what knowledge they have. If, you expect experts in there, you must have never paid for professionals before. These people are just employees working a RETAIL job. Get real folks, you are shopping, NOT, going to get highly payed contractors. I know exactly that. I am doing diy remodeling and not expecting retail stores to tell me how. I buy everything there. I want to know about a product, I goggle it. I want to know how to install my faucet, flooring, sub floors, kitchen cabinets, countertops, doors, gas appliances etc. I have you tube to know how. I get so mad when stupid people expect someone else to do something for them. Buy great stuff at Lowes and be an adult and do it yourself or heaven forbid pay real money for experts to do it. I purchased a stove and microwave online a month ago. They told me my delivery date would not be until today 04/21/2018. They would call me the day prior with a two hour time frame. Day before comes and goes, no phone call. So I call them. They tell me, no we'll call you the day of delivery between 8-9 am. Day of delivery, 930am no phone call. Again, call them. I am told that they cannot find my microwave and will have to call me back later to reschedule a delivery date.... call me back two hours later to tell me they can come out next Saturday but can't tell me what time. It will be a two hour window. Never again will I buy anything from Lowe's. So y'all weren't even going to call me the day of delivery to tell me you weren't coming? Garbage. read more
