However, it's like right as I sat down she was heavy handed with the drill to the point my fingernail started to burn. Then she made a shady comment about the type of base I wanted for my nails. She just had an attitude throughout my appointment. Regardless of all of that I still tipped her $30 on $80 just because I work in a restaurant and deal with people everyday so I know what it's like to be going through something and not wanting to work. Went to Signature Nails to get a fill and was very pleased with the service. This was my second time going to this nail salon and haven't been disappointed. The reason I really like this salon is because of how good they are with appointments. I made appointments both times and was taken back no more than 5 minutes after my appointment time. Their prices are a little higher, but in my opinion it's worth it to pay a little more and not have to worry about waiting over 30 minutes to get your nails done. They have a ton of colors to choose from for gel, and a ton to choose from for SNS. The atmosphere is very cute and clean. They have relaxing music playing and a couple TVs playing different shows. I cannot recommend this place enough. The first time I went, it was amazing but I wasn't sure if that was a fluke so I was interested in seeing how it was the second time around. When it was time to get them done again, I was in a rush and wanted a quick fix so I went somewhere closer to my house and it was AWFUL. 4 days after I got them done, they were chipping and they had ground my nails down to next to nothing. I made the trip up to Greenwood, hoping Signature Nails would do a better job. I was so amazed at how gentle and considerate the nail tech was. I had explained what happened and she made sure to keep my nail bed from going any thinner. I just about fell asleep during it because I was so relaxed. The attention to detail was superb, and I only got plain dip nails! I can only imagine how detailed they are with any designs you request! We were able to walk in, but I think we were lucky because as we sat there, other people came in and were told they would need to get an appointment. This was partly due to several people walking in within minutes of each other, and it was getting late in the day near closing. I bring it up not as a negative but as a tip. I've struggled for years to find a great local nail salon that was consistent in quality work along side of reasonable prices. My friend suggested this salon and I was immediately sold on them. She said she'll never go anywhere else and I now feel the same. The one thing you MUST know about this salon is that you MUST make an appointment. Their door says they accept walk ins, but they are in such high demand and so busy that I see them turn away 80% of their walk ins. I tried walking in my first time (against my friend's advice and learned the hard way). They do such an excellent job here, trust me! Best nails I've consistently walked out the door with. The staff is super friendly (and English speaking!!) and their prices are truly the best I've seen in Indy. Their nail polish, gel, powder, etc. color selection is huge and I've seen them do designs on nails that were outstanding! My only issue was one time making an appointment on a Friday when I REALLY needed my nails done for an event and when I showed up, they insisted my appointment was the day prior, so they would not take me. I am 110% I made the appointment for the right day as I had plans the prior evening. Yet, they weren't very nice about it and said I was wrong. I then spent the next 2 hours calling and driving around to other salons hoping someone could get me in and no one could. I was so upset. So....like I said, make an appointment and I also suggest calling the day prior to make sure they have your appointment right! I'm sure this was a simple mishap, but it was truly a major inconvenience on my part. Even with my one bad experience, this place is a solid 5 star nail salon in my opinion. I've been to tbis place several times. They are the real deal. You get baggies for your own filing goods when getting a pedicure. They are polite and helpful. They are open on Sunday but be warned be sure to make an appointment. This place is busy and anytime I've tried to walk in they were booked for the day. Trish did my nails today and I was impressed by her attention to detail. Yes there are other great places to go on the Southside but this place just does good nails. I didn't see any mood polish which is a little disappointing as I love mood polish. They have cats eye selection and the nail boards that say color match means rhey have those colors in gel too. I've been searching for a nail salon close to my house that is reasonably priced and does a great job and I think I found it. This was my first visit to Signature Nails but it definitely won't be the last time. They take appointments but they also take walk-ins. I was a walk-in and I arrived 10-12 minutes after they opened. Originally I was told it would be a 30 minute wait -- no problem. Signature Nails is located next to Target so I planned to pop in there anyways. The wait was only less than 5 minutes so yay! Unlike other salons, they don't have a wall of nail polish bottles. Instead, they have the colors painted on fake nails in baskets at the front counter. I prefer this as I always end up opening the nail bottles anyways to see what the color really looks like when painted. If you select a color from the 'matching colors,' it means that there is a matching gel color. Perfect because I like having my fingers and toes matching. After selecting your color, you next select the lotion. They have a variety of brands and scents. I selected 'Country Apple.' At the end of my visit, I paid $51 for a manicure with gel and a pedicure. Overall, the vibe of the salon is nice, the appearance is nice and stylish and the staff is friendly. read more

For the first impressions it was very chic interior and they had a very good selection of regular polish and gel polish. He was working on my full set acrylic nails. I showed him what kind of design I wanted. He was very patient and well paced worker. Until like last 10 or 15 minutes he started to rush things up and finish it. I loved the ideal of my nails but it needs to have one or two more coat to make it look fulfilled color.
