At first they told me that there might be mold behind the bath tub and they need to cut the bathtub out so they can check. But that means I need to replace my bath tub. They guy here said he's really sure there will be mold behind the bath tub so I let them do that. However, after they cut it out, there is no mold behind the bath tub at all! After they reinstall the dry wall and install the toilet back, they told me that toilet is broken, the reason is because that the toilet is left for dry for a while and the wax is broken! This is because previously they promise the project is about a week long but ends up it took 1.5 month to finish it! Then their manager David promise he will send a plumber to fix this issue. But when the plumber comes here, he immediately told me that the toilet is no longer fixable because the issue, and he has to replace it. So I have replace the toilet as well. At the final walk through, I noticed that there are other issue they didn't fixed at all. There is a 1.5 inch gap between bath tub and the tile and they didn't do the trim for most area. David said he will send some people back to fix this. When the contractors comes, they spend an hour doing nothing because they need to go to home depot to buy things, and this is still charging! Green…read moreState used an unregistered contractor for unlawful electrical and plumbing work, without pulling permits or having inspections, and then incorrectly told us they weren't needed. And that's just the beginning of our problems with them. We haven't been able to use our master shower in 7 months because they caused a leak just before Thanksgiving of 2025, and they haven't fixed it. Our Christmas photos have 3 large, beautiful holes in the ceiling, above our tree. And their contractor left our jetted tub in a hazardous state, without GFCI electrical protection, and we've been told not to use it for our own safety. You can see they've been cited for multiple issues - the state provides a tool to verify contractors, here: https://secure.lni.wa.gov/verify/ Their tile installer did extremely poor-quality work. Like jagged breaks in glass accents, wandering tile cuts, edge pieces not lining up, grout in the wrong places, and lots more. The account manager and project manager reviewed his work and said it was industry standard. Literally, they looked at this big, jagged piece of glass glopped in with grout (among tons of other problems, large and small) and told me it's industry standard work and they wouldn't fix it. Not joking. It makes more sense when you hear that: - the account manager is the son of the project manager, - the project manager hired his son-in-law for the tile work, - the son-in-law had been in business less than 6 months, So, he did bad work which they defended. There are actual industry standards, and I read them, and his work definitely doesn't meet them. And then, still, the tile guy installed the underlying waterproofing incorrectly. It's incomplete, it's incorrect, and it doesn't follow manufacturer instructions. He made our shower curb flat instead of angled to drain water, so we ended up with standing water, growing mildew, on top of incomplete waterproofing. The repair they proposed, I discovered, would have been incorrect and not manufacturer approved, too. And then Green State told us we'd have to pay to fix it some of it. They say they have a workmanship warranty, but they ignored requests to warranty their work. So, to recap, they hired an inexperienced in-law who did bad work, asked us to pay to fix their bad work, then refused their warranty. Then there's the hole into our attic they made around September 2025, told us was fixed multiple times, then come to find out they hadn't, so they finally fixed it at the end of January 2026. Or that they fabricated our new countertop wrong, so there's a gap between the side splash and the wall. Or that they didn't seal it with silicone either so water can go straight back to the wall... So, like I said: Stay. Away.

For starters insurance only covered part of the mitigation process and we were left with an 8K bill that they demanded we pay or they put a lien on our house (we were fresh from losing my father inlaw at this point, so we were in a rough state emotionally. No compassion from them.) We get through the Reconstruction process painfully slow with limited communication and were left with an unfinished sink. We have tried working with them and communicating to get the sink finished but they are demanding payment for the remaining balance after our insurance payout. I get needing to get paid but I am not a fan of paying for work that hasnt even been done yet. Long story short: they give a 5 start appearance but really only cared about getting paid even if it means leaving unfinished work. My husband was out of work while we dealt with the death of his father and then experienced a health crisis himself. They do not care if you are financially strained or not. If you dont qualify for financing they just threaten to send you to collections. Do yourself a favor and go with a company that has a little more empathy for the people they are serving. Many of us are seeking out companies like this because of stressful emergencies. We do not need the added stress of being treated like a cash cow.

Unethical and Irresponsible Service…read more Our experience with Paul (Drying force) has been extremely disappointing. After our home suffered water damage, we trusted Paul for mitigation and restoration services. He showed up promptly the same day my husband contacted him and began drying the damaged area. A few days later, he brought us an unfilled contract, which we signed in good faith. Despite repeatedly asking for an estimate or invoice, we never received one until much later, when we got a total bill of $6,000 for both restoration and mitigation. We thought the charges would be as mentioned in the estimate. Without informing us, he unethically charged $7,000 for mitigation alone, which the insurance company sent directly to him and took separate payment for restoration. We only found out about this transaction from our insurance agent, who also mentioned we needed a negotiator because the drying agent demanded even more. During the restoration, he was very irresponsible and did not pay attention to detail. We had to stand by him to ensure the work was done correctly. He installed the carpet and padding in our master bedroom very roughly. These unethical billing practices, lack of communication, and irresponsible behavior are highly unprofessional. I strongly advise others to be cautious when considering Drying Force (Paul) for any services.

As most people know when you have this type of leak it is the homeowner's responsibility to repair. This can be a tricky and expensive repair as you must locate the water line and excavate 2-3 feet down to repair. After not getting timely or consistent responses from the plumbers I contacted, it dawned on me that this is really a Utility service repair. Working in my neighborhood was a crew installing new utilities. They had trenches open pipes in etc. it was obvious that they had the skills and expertise to do the job. I made contact with the owner Miguel, he came over assessed the problem and agreed to help. As with most projects things didn't go exactly as planned, we found surprises underground there was no way to know about ahead of time. Miguel devised quick economical solutions and was able to overcome the unexpected obstacles with ease. The team at Hard Ground operated with a high degree of safety and experience as they navigated other underground utilities using a combination of equipment and hand digging. They completed the repair filled the trenches and had all the tools to compact the ground to original specs and even gave me a temporary asphalt patch.
