This company did our next door neighbor's roof. They are messy, loud and unorganized. They start hammering at 7 am without any regard for the people in the bedrooms where they start. They shout to each other across the roof and in general, have no constraint at all. They leave their heavy equipment on the street and daisy chain extension cards to run cheap residential fans overnight. The quality of their work remains to be seen, but considering they don't seem to make enough to hire a professional crew or buy appropriate tools (like nail guns or industrial fans), I would say that they are not so popular. Pick these guys if you want a sloppy and noisy job site and the annoyed neighbor's that they bring to your block. I would have given them a -5 if the option were available. read more

My simple project turned out to be more difficult due to a lot of dry rot and rotted beams where he had to get more crew to work them to keep up the schedule. He kept me posted on the progress and what was coming up. He also juggled things to weatherproof my stucco repair due to weather conditions. He also made a reasonable request to delay the stucco repair due to another project needing help to waterproof their roof. When we realized that our 30-year-old shake roof needed replacing, we approached several companies, including Signature Roofing, which reroofed lots of homes in our neighborhood. We very much appreciated how quickly William came out for a quote. He provided the estimate along with a lot of information about roofing materials, gutters, downspouts and more. After we signed the contract, he came by with roofing samples to help us decide on the colors. The project took 7 business days (mid-April 2025). When was the last time you gave serious consideration to your roof? If you're like me, the answer is "way too long ago". But when shingles kept blowing off my aging roof and the gutter kept getting filled with asphalt granules, I knew it was time to replace the roof before my house ended up with a new indoor pool during the next storm. Of the three roofing companies that I contacted, Signature Roofing had the best communication by far. I do a lot of research before hiring contractors, so I was impressed when SR sent me several emails containing detailed information about shingle types, decking, underlayment, and roof vents. They also provided the addresses of some houses they'd worked on, so I was able to see the actual product in real-world conditions. My estimator PJ and the owner William took the time to answer my plethora of questions. When I finally decided on what I wanted, I knew I was making an informed decision. I ended up going with GAF asphalt shingles in the Timberline HD Reflector series. The reroofing was a multi-day process involving tarping the garage, scraping off the old roofing material (this was pretty loud), adding a layer of OSB, and finally installing all the new materials. SR didn't want to tarp the furnace in the attic because of the low clearance in there, so they opted for pulling up a board in the decking after removal of the old roof in order to vacuum up debris around the furnace. During the reroofing process, William kept me constantly updated, including multiple times when he informed me that the crew would be replacing some old boards that had dry rot. Each such occurrence increased the cost of the project marginally, but I was glad that SR was being thorough in ensuring that my roof will last. They also helped me with some minor gutter work including straightening a sagging gutter. William even came by personally to make sure that a gutter elbow would be the right color - what service! After the install, I informed William of a couple cosmetic issues that I found and he had his field supervisor out the next day to correct them. SR cleaned up reasonably well after the project, though I've found stray nails scattered about on many occasions. Overall, the price was not cheap but it was fair given the quality of the install. In the several months since the new roof was put in, our house stayed noticeably cooler during the summer and the roof had no leaks during a recent storm. I found at least one spot where a shingle is buckling, but apparently this is fairly common, and the shingle looks like it'll still do its job. SR also carries a 10-year workmanship warranty for peace of mind. If you're in the market for a new roof, definitely give Signature Roofing a call and see how they stack up against the competition. read more

A little expensive compared to the competition, but incredibly thorough, professional, and great communicators. We needed our shingle roof + gutters replaced after 25+ years on a single-family home, and picked Signature Roofing after reviewing quotes from a couple of well-recommended suppliers. Their quote was higher, but they were much better able to explain options, discuss alternatives, and make recommendations that we believed. The work was done extremely well - including fixing up some old rotted woodwork, bolstering some sagged rafters, adding venting, and reusing our existing (slightly strange) downspouts. There was one small hiccup we encountered on the first rain, which they fixed within a day - probably due to a bad original install of a skylight (i.e., not their fault). read more

So, had an old roof that needed chimney repairs, some joints fixed, etc. There was a good amount, two days worth of plaster repairs in addition to the regular joints that need correction when doing a 30 year old roof. Even some roof joists and overhangs that needed to be renewed. The guys did a good quick job. We also had some new vents per their specs added. Had them remove all the old gutters and had them replace and install with leaf covers. There in my issue resides. When they did the gutters, they installed a downspout onto the existing lower level roof. Per the Home Inspector who was pretty damn sharp, never dump a downspout onto an existing or brand new roof as it causes undo wear and other issues. I approached SR and the manager said that they just match what was there. Well, they did the roof correctly, so why install the new gutter system deficiently when they were hired to correct all deficiencies? The guys are good, including the guy who corrected the gutter downspout issue. Originally, to reinstall a deficiency because that is how it was originally, bummer. Then get charged for it after the home inspector explain it, oh well. It is fyi, do not have a downspout dump to a lower roof! Cheers! read more

Signature roofing replaced our roof about 3 years ago. The job was done in a timely manner and the cost was competitive. Three issues with the job. 1) the addition of wood sheeting and asphalt shingles adds a lot of weight to the roof compared to the previous wood shakes on our 1960 ranch house. There was no caution from Signature to choose thinner and lighter shingles. We chose the triple layer. As a result of the new roof sheet rock has cracked or split in multiple places. There was no warning of this from the roofer and no call back when I called the company about this issue. 2) We have a hip roof and I knew the new roof would be hotter than than the wood shake roof it was replacing. I brought this up to the supervisor or who did the estimate. He said the quantity of O'Hagin vents Signature planned to add would be fine and sufficiently vent the attic. Wrong! We had to add a roof fan even after re-insulating the attic with the highest rated fiberglass insulation. They also did not put an O'Hagin vent in the garage roof so no ventilation there. When I look at our neighbors roofs it appears all have a vent in the garage roof. 3) We recently realized that we could smell kitchen orders in the garage if the range vent had been operating. I climbed up into the loft and found the 6" vent pipe coming out of the wall from the kitchen completely disconnected from the vertical vent pipe which goes up through the roof. The roof itself is holding up quite well but I would not recommend Signature Roofing based on our experience. read more

It is always a daunting task when you need to find someone to perform a big project around your house that you can't perform yourself. That is why, we feel so fortunate to have found and worked with Signature Roofing on our re-roofing project. Our roof was over 30 years old, the majority of the house was double roofed so we knew that would require a lot of extra work to remove. The project lasted about 5~6 days which included old roof removal, installation of new roof, flashing and gutters, inspections and cleanup. The cleanup was very thorough and the area surrounding our house looked cleaner then before the project started, no nails to worry about. We got four bids for our new roof. Two were through friends: one so high they clearly didn't want the business and the other enticing but came with red flags (only available on weekends and limited tolerance or understanding of our local gov't permits). Our experience with Signature Roofing started with an in person meeting that educated us on the ins-and-outs of roofing. We thought, at the very least, we got an education, which we then applied to the other companies. Then, Signature sent us a list of other homes in the area with Signature roofs which we drove by to see... again, at the very least, an education on what we want and don't want. At two of the homes, the residents were outside and we chatted them up. Both had nothing but good things to say about the company and the process, so that was it - we went with Signature. From the out-set, they were honest, professional and followed thru on communications. Our experience was just as good. They swarmed in to remove the old roof on day 1 and after that, we had a meticulous team that worked on the rest: rebuilding the new roof and leaving the area every evening spotless and without so much as a whisper. I chose Signature because of their long-standing reputation, competitive pricing and for their impeccable attention to the details. Their various specialty crews do the appropriate preparation, quality work and cleanup methodically, efficiently and with great attention to customer satisfaction. Our attached garage has a "loft" storage area and I was concerned that demolition debris would get all over the items stored in that specialized area. Signature's specialist did an outstanding job covering these items and more, so the removal of the original 30-year-old cedar shake did not get all over the place. Additionally, they covered our swimming pool with plastic preventing any debris from making its way to the bottom. They offered a bid that was roughly the same price as the other bids we received, a price that is similar to what we've heard that this job costs from talking with our friends. However, Signature Roofing's bid also included a total replacement of our gutters and downspouts, something we appreciated and the other contractors did not include. Signature Roofing did a good job of our roof replacement, getting it done on time and communicating clearly with us throughout the process. At the end, a shingle accidentally fell into a venting pipe causing the microwave fan to stop working. After informing about this problem, we received prompt service to remove the shingle and make this vent work properly again.
