I'm kind of disappointed. I found out about Dr. Cook from a post his wife made in a FB group awhile back. As soon as I got my dental insurance back, I immediately made an appointment. I was very thorough when I completed my forms in explaining my previous experiences & why I wanted to see Dr. Cook. I went in to my appt. today (Saturday) & was first shocked when I was asked for about $35 for uncovered X-rays that I would need that I wasn't forewarned about during any of the calls/texts made to me. Then, I was told there was an extra fee for using a card to pay this unexpected fee. Ok, I let that slide. During my cleaning with Val, I learned that Dr. Cook wasn't even there & I'd be seeing his associate. Ugh! Did they not read my paperwork??? I don't want to see his associate. I don't trust dentists at this point & was specifically giving Dr. Cook a chance, so please try to understand my disappointment by this entire appointment at this point. I spent 1.5 hours there to see someone else just to be told that I can come back to see Dr. Cook on a Monday, Tuesday, or Friday. I have to wait now until I can be off during the week to meet him & that's not going to be anytime soon. I made my next appointment for a cleaning, but I'm not sure if I'm even going. Im basically giving them a 3 star because the people I met were friendly. They just need to be more transparent & upfront about fees & make sure they are scheduling patients with who they actually want to see. After seeing the other dentist, my hygienist left me with another associate who did a panoramic scan on my mouth (I truly don't know why). From there was I taken to the front desk to check out. There was no flossing me. I didn't get a new toothbrush like at other dentists. What I did get was a cute cup at the end though. Thanks, Deja! read more

I love this dentist office! I have been a patient here for over a couple of years now after being referred by a friend. Each time I come in for an appointment, I am greeted by the friendly receptionist. She always has a smile on her face and is willing to answer any question that you may have. The staff here is phenomenal. I have to admit that before coming to this dentist office I hated going to the dentist. I don't like to use the word hate, but I don't know how else to describe it. Here, everyone is gentle and listens to your concerns. They ensure that you feel comfortable and routinely ask how you are feeling even when you are just getting a cleaning. Dr. Archie Cook is the best dentist I've ever been to. Full stop. I'm terrified of the dentist and if I could, I'd be popping Valium just to get up the nerve to call for an appointment. Fortunately, Dr. Cook, and everyone who works in his practice, have always been the most patient and skilled professionals you could hope for. I had been seeing a dentist who wanted to do a root canal that was ultimately unnecessary. A disagreement with this dentist forced me to look for another dentist. That's how I was lucky enough to find my dental savior, Dr. Cook. He not only used some more cutting-edge diagnostic tools to check out my problem, but he was then able to fix that problem without having to do the root canal! Please avoid this place. I'm not sure what's happened but I've definitely not had the same experience as others that have written great reviews. Today, I was texted & told to be here at noon instead of 12:30 as they needed extra time with me. So, I took off of work earlier than scheduled to be sure to be there as I have an abscessed tooth. I'm leaving after waiting over an hour & not being seen. Since I paid up front, I had to request a refund. I'm now leaving with an abscessed tooth for an appointment that was scheduled more than a week ago. This is not the first time I've had challenges with them. read more

tl;dr: Signature Smiles wrongfully billed me for extra X-rays that were taken without my knowledge, without my consent, and without any medical justification whatsoever. Further, these X-rays were taken after I expressly stated that I wanted minimal radiation exposure *due to pregnancy,* thus causing undue harm. I went to Signature Smiles in January due to all the positive reviews. I went as a new patient (new to the area) for a routine cleaning. I had no problems with my teeth and none were found during the appointment. They stated to me that they wanted to take routine bitewing X- rays and I agreed to those X-rays. But, I made very clear in my appointment that I wanted minimal radiation because I might be pregnant. The hygienist acknowledged this. Everything seemed fine... until I got the bill. In addition to agreed-upon and routine bitewing X-rays, Signature Smiles also billed me for three periapical X-rays, which are not routine and are typically used to assess areas of concern. I had no areas of concern. I had no idea that these images were taken. To date, I do not know which teeth were imaged with these X-rays, why, or why I wasn't told about them in advance. Signature Smiles had refused to provide any clear explanation. If I had known that they were taking additional X- rays, I would have declined them. And if Signature Smiles said they were mandatory for the appointment, I would have left the appointment. I was not given a choice and was exposed to and billed for unnecessary radiation exposures that I didn't want, need, or even know I had. Since then they've been total jerks. They've refused to correct the insurance claim to remove these unnecessary X-rays or waive my cost-sharing of the imaging. Based on my experience, they don't seem to care about telling their patients what treatments they're providing. They're totally fine with billing people for whatever they feel like, regardless of whether it's medically necessary or if the patient even knows what they're doing. They are perfectly fine with exposing you to as much radiation as they want so they can milk your insurance as much as possible. read more

Never have I ever liked going to the dentist... Dr. Cook is a game changer. Everyone of his team members is personable, friendly, and pays close attention to detail. Both my daughter (aged 10) and I come here for care. I am so glad he was her first dentist experience. She isn't afraid or nervous at all when she comes for her semi annual cleanings. I had an urgent need on Christmas Eve and wasn't established with a dentist locally. I called 25 different offices - all closed for the holidays - so I threw a Hail Mary to a local networking group for help. Dr. Cook's wife, Allyson, saw my post and told me to call him to see if he would be able to see me. I spoke with him at 1030, was in the office at noon, and was greeted with smiles and graciousness by both Dr. Cook and Allyson, despite my disrupting their Christmas Eve day. After a thorough and entirely pleasant exam/consultation, Dr. Cook repaired my tooth and sent me on my way with a "Merry Christmas, my staff will be in touch to finish billing." I experienced almost no discomfort after the procedure and I am actually looking forward to making another appointment He (and his wife!) went above and beyond. He is kind, patient, non-judgmental and is clearly passionate about his chosen profession. As person who dreads the drill I feel it's necessary to say, this dentist is a safe space. From the smiling faces at the front desk, to the patient hygienist who didn't judge my lack of regular flossing. I've never been under the laser before my recent visit. Dr. Cook is awesome! His front desk needs a great deal of customer service training. Someone from the office called last week to move a 3:00 pm appointment to 3:10pm. I called to reschedule because I was running late for the 3:00 appointment. And I understand that it may have been wrong on my point to turn around and call but because of in appointments prior to this appointment that there wasn't a grace period. Apparently today there was. I was told that my appointment had not been moved and was still at 3:30. I told the person that answered the phone what happened and that I was told to come in at 3:10. The first thing that happened is is started to play what if? And she over talked me the whole time. So much to the point were I had to ask could I speak. And she still kept saying that I should have called before I turned around because they would have saw me. I told her we could do "should of could of" all day but it didn't change the fact that someone had called and move my appointment up. She was VERY unprofessional! That's the least of it. She was nasty and I told her I didn't talk to her in that manner when we started the phone conversation so she should not have talked to me that way. Then I was upset and mad as well. Best dentist ever! Not to say my previous dentists were bad, but Dr. Cook and his staff there are simply amazing. They'd gave me a heated neck pillow, and even offered me a pair of headphones so I could listen to my music while they were busy working.
