As a customer for over 20 years, I have received nothing but honest and correct work. Sigy's is the best!

Really surprised this place got recommended by others. I called a day ahead and was instructed to come in first thing in the morning. Encountered an older man who was incredibly rude. Had some general questions I asked and was met with some smart mouth answers. Before I even told him what was wrong, he was already telling me he was going to charge me just to look at it. At this point, just got bad vibes and politely decided to pass. As I was heading out the door, he said, "ok, go ahead and take it somewhere else". I don't know if this guy is just grumpy or didn't sleep well the other night, but talk about terrible customer service and dodging a bullet. I'd AVOID this place if you're a new customer. read more

These guys are phenomenal!! The ultimate mechanics for your ultimate driving machine!! They're a wonderful family-owned business that takes care of all BMWs and German vehicles. They are incredibly skilled and professional! Their diagnostics are absolutely on point and the best part? It costs only a fraction of what you'd pay at a dealership! Some review complaint about customer service. Remember they are proud German mechanics, you can always count on their knowledge and honesty. Do what they recommend and your car will be back on the road in no time. However, if your primary goal is to get someone to serve you but not getting the car fixed, then I'll suggest you to go to dealership. read more

I've been going to Sigy's for several years now. Thier diagnosis on problems is spot on and repair cost are very resonable. They repaired my converitlbe top twice and while it was on the lift the last time, found a major oil leak. They fixed that and now no more oil spots in my garage! They also trouble shot my SMG transmission when my car refused to move. It turned out to be the hydraulic pump, which is actually in the engine compartment by the drivers' fender and not in the tranny. Any other repair shop would have sold me a new tranny but Mike is an honest man so the repair was less complex and cheaper. I trust them with my 2005 E45 3330 CiC to the extendt that noone else works on that car. Thank you Sigy's. read more

Have been going to Sigy since 2014 and have no issues. Never had to come back for any of their repairs. And their diagnosis has always been spot on. read more

Sigy's is a wonderful family run shop that specializes in BMW repair. In a world of rip off artist mechanics, they are a very honest shop and in the years I have been always treated fairly. read more

They do okay work but customer service is not their core competency. Pretty ridiculous how condescending they are and how they act as if basic communication is such a burden. That being said, they're okay when it comes to diagnosing problems and fixing problems. But they be grumbling while doing it and taking your money. read more

Still the best around the DMV! Mike does a great job everytime and tells you things straight up. He's very efficient and honest. You won't regret coming here and your BMW will thank you. read more

Came here a while back to get some work done on the car after hearing back from the stealerships diagnosis. Received an estimate from Mike and then after giving my car the shop did its own diagnostic and came back with a new quote almost 30% higher than the original estimate! I have no problem with this, as I understand things can be discovered on a play by play basis. Regardless, I decided not to go with the service here and called back to see if I could get my car back. As soon as I asked if I could pick up the car, I got a "NO! NOT NOW! BUSY! CANT PUT COVERS ON NOW" ....well ok thats fine I can pick up the car and covers separately and install them when I get home. Then the guy yells at me asking "WHO DID YOU FIND THAT WILL DO A BETTER JOB THAN ME?!" and slams the phone.. I picked up my car only to hear "YOU OWE ME $110"...I paid and cannot be more sure that I will NEVER be coming back. Only reason I gave two stars is because It seems as though the work done here is decent, but customer service is an obvious sinkhole at this shop. Found a much better and extremely polite BMW garage nearby. read more

I recently discovered Sigy's Service Center after living in the DMV area for almost 3 years. I have experienced a few other bad BMW service centers in the area. I took my car to Sigy to have a clutch replaced shortly after dropping off he called to let me know the car needed something else. He gave me a run down of what was going on and what was needed, he also gave me a very reasonable price. It was reassuring to hear how knowledgable Sigy is when it comes to these cars. He was not trying to sell me something the car did not need (many times the case with service centers). Not only did they replace what was broke they replaced what made sense while they were in there (i.e. belts and pulleys). They also saved the worn parts to show me exactly what was going on. I am relieved to have found a knowledgeable and honest BMW mechanic in the DC area. I hope this review will help others discover Sigy's Service Center. read more

Sigy's is that secret mechanic that only BMW enthusiasts know and share about. Real service and craftsmanship at very fair prices. I have been taking my 2008 BMW 528i for 4+ years and every time I can't thank my neighbor enough for referring me. Both Sigy and son Mike know their stuff and today Sigy replaced my headlight and I look forward to an excuse to go back they are so nice. read more

I wouldn't let Sigy's even tie my shoes, let alone touch my car again. I had used them for my E30 and they were great, but I always dealt with his son. Seven years later I went back for my 5 series. Sigy was insult and condescending. When I brought the car in I asked for an estimate for a general tune up, he quoted me $250 in labor (I supplied the parts) because he said I had to adjust the valves every 6,000-12,000 miles. He said ready tomorrow. I handed the keys over. After that I told him I was a disabled veteran in our conversation. When this was made know, Sigy's professionalism went out the door. He called me a Fuc**** idiot and a number of other choice names. Given my past experience with the shop and his son, I chalked it up to him having a bad day. When I called the next day it was not ready and he commenced with his cursing and insults again about America, Americans and the military. The following day, I picked it up with a $540 bill. He did not break the valve cover open and adjust the valves as stated. He only replaced my spark plugs. He took my old grimy spark plugs and threw them on my dashboard and driver's seat. The distributor cap, wires, rotor and points were not replaced. I paid the bill just to get my car out of there as soon as possible. The car was not dripping or leaking anything when I brought it in. On top of not doing what he said, the insults and extortion, I discovered over the next day that I now had a cut in my power steering line and more than one gas leak. Run, do not walk from this place. Look around on the web and you'll see mine is not an isolated case. He is arrogant, abusive, dishonest and anti American. read more

I've owned a dozen BMWs over the last 20 years and currently have three bimmers: an X5, a 335i convertible, and a 330ci. Sigy's is the best auto mechanic I've ever worked with. There's no fancy waiting room or courtesy cars available, but I've been bringing my cars to Sigy's for over five years now and wouldn't consider taking my BMW anywhere else. The owners are trustworthy, the shop performs superior work, and the price is right. read more

My Mini-Cooper had a series of dash warning lights and a clutch that I know needs to be replaced. They cleared the warning lights since no warnings were active and checked the clutch. Clutch was worn but not in immediate need of replacement. I thought this was a fair and reasonable approach. Clearly they are not just trying to generate business since I'd have accepted their recommendation. I'll go back. read more

I can't say enough good things about Sigy's. Not only were they extremely friendly, the service was 2nd to none. The mechanic that worked on my 325xi was knowledgeble, friendly and right on target with my problem. I had my car serviced for the same problem at a couple of other places in Bethesda and not only paid WAY TOO MUCH but the problem was never fixed. For 15min farther away from Bethesda it was the perfect place to have my car worked on. I don't know why other reviews listed Sigy's as rude or impolite because I had an excellent experience. I will not take my car anywhere else. Thank you Sigys! read more

These guys treat you right and don't try to do things that would drive the cost of repairs up! They know the BMW vehicles very, very well. They keep me safe on the road! read more

We've been going to Sigy and Mike for over 20 years with 4 different BMW's. They've always been honest, reasonable, and a pleasure to work with. They charge about 1/2 of what the dealership charges for getting things fixed... However, be sure to bring your checkbook because they don't take credit cards. read more

This place is hidden treasure for BMW owners. Mike fixed the computer issue on my 15 year old BMW 7 series for less than $200. Not as pretty as the dealer but worth the trip. Do some research beforehand, this place know its stuff. read more

Couldn't imagine taking my car anywhere else. Knows BMW inside and out but most of all, Sigy and Mike are as trustworthy as they come.

I had Sigy's handle some basic maintenance on my E30 and was very happy with the service and knowledge of the staff. I had read other reviews concerning the demeanor of Sigy and found him to be honest and forthright. The price was reasonable and I feel good to have found a mechanic that I can trust. read more

Moved into the area recently and needed a local BMW mechanic for my 2003 525i, a Hans and Franz type place. Went to Sigy's for a oil change, 3rd brake lightbulb replacement and to check a fluid leak. Sigy is the owner, his wife handles the office and his son, Mike, I think, is a mechanic. It was a Monday holiday and I called to make an appointment and the wife told me just to come in. The son basically asked me to hang around while he worked on my car; he said they use BMW oil. I admit I wasn't sure it was synthetic but BMW only specifies synthetic oil. The brake light was more difficult as the bulb was fused to the socket. He lifted the car & removed the chin plate to check for the fluid leak; he tightened a joint to see if that was the leak source. The total charge was $82 (a synthetic oil/filter change is normally $100 at any place). This wasn't a difficult job so I can't judge, but I liked the experience. They only take cash or check; I had neither so I mailed them a check a day later. Nice to do business with . . . Another Visit (02/2013) The dad, Sigy, is a bit of crank . . . I mentioned Mike's back problem could be tough to fix .. . Sigy's said "Are you a doctor" sarcastically, but I didn't take it personally. He was watching TV on his laptop in German, so the fatherland is still in his blood. read more

Great service. We had driven in from out of state and got hit by the "service engine soon". Took the car in fearing the worst. They thoroughly checked it out and informed us it was just a loose gas tank lid. read more

HORRIBLE,customer Service!!! I called to describe my issues and once I told the guy I was using an after market warranty company he said "That company is no good, they waste an hour of my time on the phone. You will be charged $125 just to consult with them". Once I told him they will pay he hung up the phone and said "You're wasting my time", call back he wouldn't answer!! They have just lost a customer for life, I will never have anything good to say about this company. read more

I had my X5 serviced at Sigy's. If you own a BMW and are interested in getting the absolute best, honest, dependable and reasonably priced service for your BMW---any year-any model--go to Sigy's and don't stop anywhere else along the road to maintaining your BMW. What's more, they don't mind explaining to you every step they take in repairing your car---in plain english! It's a 35 mile drive from my home but I will never consider going anywhere else. I'm a fan--you may want to join the club. read more

Sigy's is the best place to take your BMW for service bar none, especially an M variant. Sigy has been working on BMW's forever and he knows them better than anyone. I own an E46 M3 and have literally taken it everywhere in the DC area that claims they are BMW service centers, but all I get is high bills and poor vehicle service. At Sigy's he himself diagnoses the problem and fixes it in no time at a fraction of the cost. His personality may seem abrasive to some but he is actually very funny and nice once you get to know him. Any other accusations that he is a "con artist" or a "rip off" is bogus. read more

Mike and Sigy know BMW. They've been taking care of our car for 10+ years. I can attest to their honesty, and our 528i - approaching 200,000 mi - to their competence. Short walk to the metro station, if you take subway to work - think saving $5 on parking when leaving your car for a day with them! read more

I have never seen a more unprofessional auto mechanic. Sigy from the beginning was arrogant, sarcastic and spoke to me as though he thought I was an idiot. His first words to me was "Get that junk off of your car", referring to the $120 bike rack that I had on my trunk. After I did that, he went in my car and kept saying, "Oh my God, Oh my God," like he couldn't handle the problem (the problem being a flashing light in the car indicating my convertible top wasn't working). I asked him what was wrong and he says, "Everything's broken". Uh, thanks, that's why I'm here. He doesn't speak to me for 15 minutes after that, just walks back and forth, and eventually I say, "So, what's going on?" just conversationally. He explodes... "What's going on?? I'm getting tools to fix your car. Is that OK??? My convertible top works fine. Yours doesn't." I stand up to leave, and he calls me an asshole and says I wasted his time (10 minutes of him walking around looking for a tool, versus a 40 minute drive for me to get to his place). I don't care HOW good he is, he can't be the only German in the DC area who knows things about a BMW. Save your money... there's enough drama in this area, no need to add more. read more

First time using Sigys. I have tried a few places in the area and none of them stuck with me. Brought in my E46 M3 for a service after reading about Sigys on yelp, bmw forums etc. Needed a few routine items -radiator flush, brake fluid, few belts. Really like them. Honest, nice and reasonable. I wont be looking anywhere else, they are my go to shop going forward. read more

Mike and Sigy are the BEST! They have made me a priority each time I have visited. These people treat you like you are a good neighbor; looking out for you, and telling you what's really going on with your vehicle. When my last repair was going to take several hours, and they heard me calling a taxi for myself and two young children, they insisted on driving us to my daughters doctors appointment!!! My car is running like new. Lucky to have these people in business . True professionals. read more
