Pretty good for what I needed. I have an older car which had a leak in a place that was hard to get to, at least for me. Bought replacement parts, tire racks, etc., but I wasn't feeling it. Scheduled a morning drop-off at Roda and they were cool about it. Professional with everything including a credit for a ride home. Once they went through their diagnosis, they sent a link with all the recommendations. I deferred on a few but went with what would resolve the main problem. Last Thursday I requested an oil change Service on the website that it was available to be picked up at 6:30 pm Return by 730 P.M. The next day I will see your day message that the Service could not be formed them. Please call them. I called them and they said they could pick it up Saturday morning between between 930 and 1030. Pick up pursue Brad in late but she arrived at 10:30. Just a young lady. No uniform. No ID Card. Calling me to tell him if she's here to pick up my car. As far as RODA that's very unprofessional. How am I supposed to trust a $40,000 Car to person to shows up? It says give me your car. I took a picture of a drivers license and add her my Car Keys I received a text about 1115 in the morning to take my car had arrived at the Shop 1230. No update 130. No update, so I called the Shop and they said it was in the key to be worked on. 230. No update. No response from the road to Shop. I caught an Uber to the Shop which had my expenses. $14.75. When I arrived at the Shop, there was five guys in the lobby. Just seen around. I think they were employees. And when I asked her about my car they gave me this. Oh shit look and he said oh, they're about to pull it in. The time was now three that day and they asked me if I wanted the Service after all. And I said hell. No it took you four hours not to do an oil change. That's upsurd . Give me my Keys. I fed a complaint on the road to app. I received your text and someone was gonna reach out to me. Today is Wednesday, February 11 and no one has ever reached out to me. I will never use a Service again. Worse Customer Service experience I've experienced ever, and I will badmouth this Company on social media to all my coworkers to all my acquaintance to everybody. Key issues: inaccurate information, missed deadlines, poor communication, and unprofessional conduct (Deon, the Service Advisor) I scheduled service for my brakes and rotors at Roda online and called ahead to confirm pricing based on my car's make and model. I also told the technician I needed my car back by 6:30 p.m. that evening to pick up my daughter from school. I was told this would not be a problem. After my car was picked up, I received a text stating it would not be ready until the following day--directly contradicting what I had been told. I called to clarify the discrepancy and it took at least six attempts to reach a live person. Each time, I was placed on hold for approximately six minutes and then routed to voicemail. When I finally spoke with the service advisor, Deon, he confirmed the car would not be ready and attempted to change the estimate, assuming I did not understand the service required--despite the fact that I had already reviewed the scope and pricing with another technician who checked parts and labor costs. Deon dismissed that technician outright, saying "he didn't know what he was talking about." Deon then told me the car would be ready at 10:00 a.m. the following morning. The next morning, I began calling at 7:45 a.m. and did not reach a live person until approximately 9:15 a.m. I was transferred back to Deon, who was rude and unhelpful. When I asked when the car would be finished, he said "this morning." When I asked for a more specific time--offering 11:00 a.m.--he replied "11:59." When I asked whether he was being sarcastic, he simply repeated "11:59." I had early out of town travel scheduled the next day and due to the inaccurate and inconsistent information provided, I was forced to Uber my daughter to school in Potomac, Maryland and delay my travel. Had I been given accurate information from the start, I would have delayed service until after my travel or chosen another provider altogether. This experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and avoidable. **UPDATE: Without speaking to me first, they tried to return my car to me without completing the repair. After speaking to a manager to let him know that it would be nearly impossible to take it o my usual mechanic (Friday), they said they would work to get it done. Surprise! I still have not received my car back. I have been calling for an update. I was told at about 1:00 pm that the service was near complete. I called at 5:20 pm and they said it would not be done until the next day (maybe) because the battery died while resetting it. This has never happened while getting brake pads replaced. Also, no one told me. I would not have known if I hadn't called. After a bit of back and forth, and consternation they offered a rental car but all of the places closed by 6:00 pm. I was supposed to travel to New York earlier this morning (the 19th) and the rental companies do not open until 9:00 am (the 20th). I will miss most of my daughter's meet and other family events. 1 star. I tried to give Roda a chance to make this right before writing this review, but at this point I'm just being ignored. I sent my car in for a basic oil change and got it back with MORE problems than it had before. My seat no longer moves forward or backward (it worked perfectly before pickup), my check engine light is now on, and now my car is shaking when I start it. On top of that, things like my brakes and windshield wipers are clearly worn and need replacing, but somehow everything "passed" their safety inspection. That's what really doesn't sit right with me -- how does a car come back worse, but the report says it's in perfect condition? I was also told the driver noticed the seat issue beforehand, but nobody communicated that to me at any point. That's a safety issue, and it was completely ignored. I don't even feel confident that the oil was actually changed, given how the car is running now. At this point, I'm honestly concerned my car was either mishandled or not properly serviced at all. All I wanted was communication and accountability. Instead, I've been left with a worse vehicle and no response. Do what you want, but I'd be very careful using this service. read more

I was told my key was not working , it has always worked before and after . They damaged the seal on my door and another part that attached to the window. They wanted to sell me a new battery instead of just turning off the interior light , like I had told them to do , multiple times . In fact if they had not picked up my vehicle , this never would have been an issue. I have had lockouts before but I have never seen go through the trouble of causing so much damage . Simply because they wouldn't turn the interior light off . If I had picked it up myself , they wouldn't turn not have needed to break into my car. I had high hopes based on other Yelp reviews and what I had seen online. Overall, it was fine. Their oil change prices are pretty reasonable. Other prices, not so much. Pros: -They pick up your car for you. -They usually have coupons for your first visit. Cons: -they do not utilize the information you provide to them regarding when you need your car back, background info., etc. -they failed to communicate with me proactively. I had to reach out to them to ask about the status of my car after it was picked up and I didn't hear anything for 4+ hours. -lack of pricing transparency. They quoted me $250ish for a transmission fluid change, but when I asked for a follow up, they re-quoted at nearly $500 - this came after they informed me they couldn't give me a true diagnostic. -The light vacuum is less than light. I don't even think they vacuumed at all, based on the fact that there were still tons of things on the floor. -I got my car picked up at 10:30 a.m. I got it back at like 5:15 p.m. Only after repeatedly communicating with them about when I needed it. -the valets appear to just be contractors, not employees - they can't really explain much about the process and when they came to pick my car up, they were wandering around the building, insisting that they needed to use the restroom. I can't say that I would go out of my way to use them again. Probably convenient for a standard oil change, but for anything else, you might as well just deal with the dealer. read more

I am the owner of a 2021 Jeep wrangler... my fifth wrangler since I was 16. These days we all know how expensive it is to keep your car running safely ... parts, labor... it's stressful but today I found RODA. I brought my baby into RODA in Rockville, Md and I cannot find the words to describe how happy I am! From booking my appointment ( I was actually driving to the shop) arriving within 2 minutes, taken in immediately, diagnosed, tires rotated, car washed and vacuumed ... I drove out only paying 40 dollars! WHAT?!? Nowhere will you find a car shop who charges only 40 dollars for a tire rotation, diagnosis, given future plan...( if my issue is not fixed from rotation) and a car wash with interior vacuuming!!! From customer service from Michael and Rachel to the technician JoJo who worked on my car.... I am beyond thrilled to have found this shop! Kind people who understand the issues revolving around expensive parts and labor... they get it.. they are amazing at RODA! My car was picked up at 12:30 PM in DC for an Express Detail and undercarriage wash. It was not returned until around 8:00 PM. That is 7.5 hours for an "express" service. I received no proactive updates. Every status required me chasing them through chat. I was told multiple times it would be ready "within minutes," then told it would arrive by 7:00 PM -- while my GPS showed it still sitting in their Rockville lot. At 7:35 PM, my Volvo app showed the engine turned on, yet both my GPS and their own tracking link still showed the vehicle stationary in their parking lot. The car also showed as unlocked (including the trunk) while sitting there. When I called the "valet" number provided, the automated message warned: "The number you are calling is likely a scam. We recommend you hang up now." That is not something you want to hear when your car is in someone else's possession. Their main listed phone number hung up on me. No inspection videos were provided despite advertising that process. I was left stranded at work for hours past normal with no clear timeline and no reliable communication. This company has polished marketing, but the execution and transparency do not match the image they present. I would think VERY carefully before trusting them with your vehicle. read more

From coordinating the pickup to handling all the logistics, he made the entire pickup and drop-off process smooth, convenient, and stress-free. Please, let my mistake be a valuable lesson for you. Take your car to a more qualified mechanic. Anywhere but Roda. Sat. 6/7 - I dropped off my 2015 Honda Accord because it was failing to start frequently. It would take several tries to start. Roda told me that the alternator needs to be replaced. I approved the work at a cost of $1,140.49. The work was supposed to have a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty. (I made the mistake of approving the work without requiring any documentation that the alternator really was the problem. I trusted Roda, which proved to be the start of my troubles.) Mon. 6/9 - I picked up the vehicle in the evening. I stopped at a gas station. Then the car failed to start. After several tries, I got it home, only to plan on dropping it back off at Roda the next day. Tuesday 6/10 - I dropped off the car after hours to have them look at it in the morning. We were told we would be "a priority." Wed. 6/11 - I checked in. At noon, they had not looked at my car yet, even though I was supposed to be "a priority." Around 3pm, they told me there is a parasitic draw on the battery. They would test where it is coming from. At 3:30pm, they checked the starter, battery, and alternator and fuses. They said everything was working properly. They said that Honda would have to test where the parasitic draw is coming from because they do not have the software to test that. I wondered why I paid over a grand for an alternator that apparently was not the cause of my start problems. They assured me the alternator did need replacement, without providing any documented evidence. However, even after replacing my alternator, my car was still having trouble starting reliably. Around 6:30pm, the manager, Steve, called and said they would trace the parasitic draw and said that would cost at least another 2 labor hours ($170/hr) to do that. He claims it would take them much longer than that cost, but he would not charge us for any extra hours. Thursday 6/12 - I checked in multiple times during the day and they had no update until 5pm, when Steve texted me to say they still needed more time. Friday 6/13 - Around 11am, they told me they think it was possibly one of two items, the brake light switch or the push start button module. They said they would order the part. At 5:30pm, they sent me an estimate for $969.27 to fix both the brake light switch and starter motor. I approved the work after asking them to lower the charge to $700. They told me it would not be ready until Monday, even though the shop is open on Saturdays. Monday. 6/16 - Around noon, they said they were still testing it. By 3:30pm, they said the work was completed and they would charge my credit card and drop off the car to my home. At 6pm, when I got home from work, I tested my car and found many things no longer working: all climate control (including front and rear defroster), power left and right mirror adjusters, heated seating controls, driver's seat power tilt adjuster, and glove box light). My car has been essentially unavailable to me since I first brought it to Roda 9 days ago. I am out nearly $2000, and I have zero confidence that my car was properly repaired. I am going to have to spend even more money to fix it and I wish I had never, ever taken it to Roda. read more

I was genuinely excited when I first discovered Roda--especially after being referred by a co-worker back in 2024. The convenience of having my car picked up, serviced, and returned was a game-changer. It freed up my time to focus on work, and it made me feel like I could trust them--which truly felt like a dream come true. Unfortunately, I was wrong and left extremely disappointed. In August 2025, I raised a serious concern about the tires Roda had installed, supported by a video I sent on August 9. My last service with Roda had been in February 2025, and although I had noticed a few other issues at the time, I hadn't had the bandwidth to address them. Eventually, one of the tires began deflating repeatedly and required manual pumping. I had no choice but to get it repaired--and that's when a different mechanic shop confirmed that the tire installed was a 2015 tire, making it 10 years old and older than my 2016 vehicle. The same mechanic also pointed out that the battery installed by Roda had not been properly secured, which he corrected during the visit. I followed up again via email on August 18, but as of today, October 1, 2025, I've received no response. As a woman, I've often been warned not to trust mechanics--told that once they realize you're not deeply familiar with cars, you're vulnerable to being taken advantage of. I didn't want to believe that stereotype, and I still don't. I understand that things can happen, but no response after a serious concern like this is completely unacceptable. After this experience, it's hard not to feel like that warning was justified. I truly wanted to trust this service, but unfortunately, that trust is gone--and am sharing this so others can make informed decisions. read more

I desperately needed a car detail and when I saw that Roda offered valet pick up and drop off, I immediately went online to schedule an appointment. The scheduling process was relatively easy and I appreciated that I receive text messages when I made the appointment and the day before, so I knew what to expect. When the valet is on the way to your destination, you receive a text message with the tracker so you can see exactly where the car is. Gabe was the technician that handled my car today and he was great! The interior detailing took a few hours and is a little on the higher end for pricing however, when I received the car, it looked brand new. I appreciated that a light wash was also done for the exterior when I looked inside. It was the cleanest that it has been in years. I had a nail in my tire and was hoping it was a simple repair versus a whole new tire. I made an appointment, dropped off my car in the morning. Roda texted and called with their assessment of the tire (only needed a repair - yay! - which could be done quickly) and general car overview. They repaired the tire and drove the car back to my job, within a few hours (I was at work, so no rush). And they cleaned the car! It was all about $50. I had a great experience with Roda getting routine maintenance (oil change, tire rotation). It was easy to schedule and select what services I wanted, they picked up the car when they said they would, communicated about the service and what they found, and returned the car a couple hours later. As always, the work was done professionally, and my service advisor kept me in the loop every step of the way. I have been a Roda customer for awhile now and I can't imagine going back to driving to a dealership, wasting several hours, drinking bad coffee, and paying more for the same work. I booked detailing with vallet service. They came and got the car no issue and communicated well for the pick up. I asked in my booking and upon pickup that my car be back by 5pm as I had holiday gatherings that evening. They said no problem. At 345 i received a text saying the car will take until 430 to complete. No problem. They are 20 mins away, still before 5. At 411 ​i received a text saying my car was done and to pay before they arranged the return of my car. They're early! Great! At 412 I paid and send them a text back confirming payment was made. I received no response. At 451 i had received no word about my cars arrival time so I texted inquiring as to them making the 5pm drop off. No response. At 511 I called. No answer, left message. I called again at 513. No answer. At 518 I texted again. No response. At ​522 i called again, no answer, left message, no response. At 523 I called i was frustrated and called again selecting a different option other than car return/pickup our of frustration. I immediately got a man who was apologetic but also made up reasons ranging from the weather(it wasn't even raining, my wife was driving in the area), to blaming the valet who was running late, to his computer being on the fritz. The frantic swapping between reasons when called out made it obvious that at best none were fully valid or, at worst, he was lying. I explained my primary issue was not that they were late, but that no one had bothered to contact me. They offered to send an Uber to pick me up and I refused citing that I had booked valet service but also had a child with me who needed a car seat. I was told nothing could be done despite them releasing a valet foe the day while they were on the phone with me. No accommodation was made. At 559 I received a call letting me know the valet was on their way. It is a 22 min drive in traffic. The valet arrived at 7:05. Over an hour later, And over 2 hours past my booked time. They had the balls to offer me 25 dollars off my next service. Poor communication, poor customer care, poor service. When my car was returned all of the seats​ were soaking wet. ​​​enough to soak my 7 yearolds back and my own clothes. Really pleased with the service Roda provided. I had heard about them through my apartment complex City Ridge... I walked out of work at 10pm to find I had a flat tire in the parking garage. That night ~11pm I booked an appointment for the following day to have them assess the damage and hopefully patch it. They confirmed a pickup timeframe for midday at 7am the next morning, which was incredible... Unfortunately for me the tire was not able to be patched, they communicated this with me and gave me a quote for a replacement before they proceeded (giving me the option to not have them replace it if I wanted to shop around). I approved the quote and they ordered a replacement tire that arrived the following day. So my car was picked up midday on a Thursday and the tire was replaced on Friday and ready to go 24hrs later. I was out of town Friday so they held my car an extra day and dropped it off Saturday morning for me. My uncle owns a garage in Buffalo and their tire pricing was fair. I'm always afraid of a garage ripping me off because I'm a younger female but didn't have that experience here. Would recommend giving yourself a little grace with the timeframes because the estimated times (pickup and drop off) were a little delayed but within an hour and they are also very flexible and can work with you. They take pictures before picking up your car and after dropping off. On top of the great service, they even washed my car for me! Would recommend them for all your car needs! read more
