I rarely do this, but I feel I have to warn others about the quality of their work. This is not to criticize the two men who showed up and worked long hours, and I suppose they accomplished what they were told to do. Unfortunately, they were completely unsupervised and while doing a spring cleanup, they dug up DOZENS of plants -- ground cover that I have nurtured for years and perennials that were just returning. I had pointed out these plants to the supervisor who came to give us an estimate, but apparently he ignored my every word. Where I had specifically requested that some lariope be thinned out here and there, they removed ALL OF IT, leaving a wide swath of dirt, in addition to removing multiple sedum and other succulents, eunonymous, packysandra, and so on. I couldn't believe my eyes. We had hired this company a couple times before for spring cleanup, and they did a decent job, although they were heavy-handed. But this was egregious and unacceptable. Over a text, I was told that the plants "will grow back." From nothing? At my insistence, they replanted several lariope, but the patio border I had created is ruined. I should mention that we had agreed on a date about a month earlier, but we received a text earlier in the week saying that the team would be there the next day instead. DO NOT HIRE! Trust me, it's not worth the risk. There are way too many reputable companies out there that will not do this to you and your family and your home. Elizabeth and Lester seemed nice but they abandoned the job and left the ivy behind. The job was IVY REMOVAL and the ivy is still on our property, right now, today. We really wanted to hire Silas for some time. When they did finally come they seemed very nice. Elizabeth was who we talked to on the phone and Lester is who we talked to onsite. They seemed honest but they were not. They seemed thorough but they were not. We hired them to remove ivy (completely remove it, never to come back, from whatever method they need to, just so long as it is gone forever). They did not remove the ivy. We took them to court and they lied to the judge on the stand. It was unbelievable. They had a lawyer who allowed this lie to happen. It was crazy. They showed photos of our yard that was not part of the yard that had ivy and they claimed that is where they removed the ivy. Their lawyer had actually been to our property and saw the layout and still allowed this lie to happen. We paid them $3500 to do this and we got totally screwed. We only took them to court in order to get the money back so we could hire someone else to do the job. That is it. They got away with it. They took our money and didn't do the job. There was not one minute that they there was ivy removed from our property. Even when they claimed they used weed killer to 'remove' the ivy, they were not telling the truth because the ivy was always there. Our mistake was that we paid them ahead of time. We will never do that again. They just abandoned the job and refused to come back and complete it. All we wanted was for them to remove the ivy but they just got overwhelmed, took our money, and ran. We didn't do that great explaining this to the court because of the shock we were in with the lies they were telling. I am just so surprised they still are in business. I am sure the work would have been done well if they would have just done it. But, they didn't want to do it after they got started...so they got lazy and just stopped work and left. Stay away from them if you have any concerns about follow through. They may be affordable but that means you risk them just walking away. At least don't pay them up front. read more

Terrible customer service. Attemptied to hire the business to remove a tree from my backyard. Apparently somebody came to to my property to give us an estimate on 4/5. The person did not even knock on the door to let us know he was here. A minute later he left. Owner called and was confused as to why we weren't home. Told the owner we were home the entire time and the representative didn't bother knocking on the door to let us know he was here. Worst part is? It's Friday 4/10 and I still haven't received an estimate. Rude and unprofessional experience. Avoid if you can. Found another company who is friendly and professional for a reasonable price. We hired Silas for a general yard clean up, weeding, trimming and edging. Our garden surrounding our house was totally overgrown and they did an amazing job cleaning it up, removing weeds but leaving the plants we liked intact to grow again in the spring. I had a holly bush that had basically taken over my backyard and was overtaking my crepe myrtle tree. I needed it taken out completely. The crew came and conquered the job. They were amazing to watch because they knew what they were doing. They took out the holly bush, roots and all, and trimmed back the crepe myrtle. Now my yard can breath again. The company provided excellent work with reasonable cost. They had no problem with giving me several cost estimates with several work plans. I originally planned to do the whole work (front and back yards) but decided to do the only front yard this year. They also accepted credit card payment without any extra charge.
