I'm writing this review about my individual lash application only. I understand that this salon specializes in post surgical treatments as well. My girlfriend has beautiful lashes. They're not caterpillar crazy and she never looks as though she'll take flight if she blinks to hard. I told her I would love to try out a lash application but have not been pumped to do so because of past experiences. The first time I had lashes was for my wedding in 2010. The aesthetician that did it was also my MUA and she was great. I just was not ready for lashes at that time. I was able to wear them the entire night but before going to bed I found myself pulling them off with fingertips covered in baby oil. The second time I had them done was at one of my regular eyebrow threading salons but I did not feel too comfortable getting them redone after hearing a customer complain about getting an infection. They weren't the cleanest of places and these are my eyes so it has got to be done correctly. My girlfriend has had a long relationship with her esti, having been devestated when she moved out of NY. She recently returned to continue seeing her local clients which was perfect for me. She made an appointment for me with Tiffany, of @tiffanysbeautyroom, and she occasionally works out of the Silhouette Beauty Lounge. My appointment was for 1130A this past Saturday. I was running a few minutes late and called to inform them. The front desk person was very nice and said that she would let Tiffany know. The salon is located right around the corner from Tosca (p.s. They may be opening back up, ya'll!). Pro tip: don't park in the main Ave. You're best bet is to park a block down at the residential area so you don't have to pay for the meter. When I entered the medspa, I was immediately greeted by their front desk person. She was very nice and she asked me to remove my shoes and put on some slippers they keep up front. No outside shoes are worn in the back which I appreciate. All of the rooms have curtains and there is a nice level of privacy. I felt very comfortable upon entering the room in which I would be serviced. Tiffany was there, waiting for me. Everything looked very clean. I told her that I was a novice at lashes and wanted something very natural looking. I specified that I would like my lashes to look as though I applied 2-3 coats of mascara, natural but noticeable. She suggested the "classic" look and I agreed. She explained the entire process and I will admit that I'm the beginning, I was extremely nervous. My eyelid was twitching because I was a little anxious but soon after I was able to relax and the process went smoothly. She said that it is normal, especially for someone who's a first-timer. When she moved onto the second eye, it was way easier because I had an idea of what would happen so I was able to relax much quicker. It took about 1:45 to finish the entire process. It didn't feel that long and did not mind it as you can tell from the final result that she was very precise with the application, making sure she maintained symmetry. Afterwards, she gave me a card with lash instructions and answered all the questions I had about upkeep and daily maintenance to extend the life of the lashes. She also said that refills can be anywhere form 2-3 weeks, depending upon maintenance, and that a refill is significantly less time for installation. I love how they look and feel. I can't even tell anything is on my eyelids. They look like exactly what I asked for, natural but noticeable. After three days, I have not had any issues with them. I am able to wear makeup and perform my skincare regimen also. There are certain products types I have to stay away from but that it not am issue and Tiffany told me exactly which to not use and provided suggestions of products I would want to use instead. I was told not to wear makeup. I did not wear any on my eyes but I did have my skincare products on and some light foundation. It was not a problem but I would suggest just wearing your skincare products, as you can not get the lashes wet in the first 24 hours post installation. It's just easier to not have to worry about removing makeup I'm any capacity. I'm thinking I might get hooked because I'm already wanting to ask for some darker lashes and maybe get the "hybrid" set next time which would incorporate some fan lashes as well for a fuller look. Review I was referred to Silhouette by a friend who knew that I had gotten 360 lipo/BBL surgery in Miami. Once I came back I wanted to go somewhere in local, in The Bronx. A place where the workers there knew what they were talking about! I found just that. These ladies are professionals, kind, smarttt and genuine. Dani, Jess and Maritza have magical hands and took great care of my body and I. They gave me great advice and as long as I follow it I know my results will get even better with time/healing. My measurements and weight when I started were as follows: Weight: 177 Hips: 47 Waist: 32 By my tenth session my measurements were as follows: Weight: 170 Hips: 47 Waist: 29 (the goal was for the booty to stay but the waist to shrink and that it did). The ladies who preform the massages there are amazing but the owner is rude and unprofessional. They also charge a $45 fee for any cancellation that isn't 48hrs prior to appointment no matter what your emergency is. The owner caters to high profile clients and offers free services to those clients. And treats everyone else as if she's doing them a favor. DO NOT go here. There's other places that will treat you with more respect. And I was a client who spent around $1,000 in services. Lesson learned though. read more

I do recommend this spa. They take care of you. The owner and the ladies are all super sweet. They make you feel welcome and comfortable. The girls work hard and you will see results. Lets begin with the good things-- This establishment is very clean. It smells clean; there are cleaning products visibly used. It is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. They also take progress pictures that keep their work accountable but also ensure services provided. I thought that was a nice touch because you can visually track your healing and post-op care. Here's the negative-- none of the positive reviews are genuine. They use discounts to incentivize clients to leave positive feedback. If you leave a positive review, you'll receive $100+ credit towards a second package purchase, which turns out to be cheaper than the initial package. From a business standpoint, it just doesn't make sense. Their reviews are essentially bought. Lets discuss actual post-op care. The lymphatic massages generally should not hurt--NOT HERE. For some odd reason, their lymphatic massages are more like sport massages. They're so rough, you will feel soreness the next day like you visited the gym for the first time. I understand that newly operated women will feel tenderness. But you shouldn't feel pain when you're over 2mos postop. When you express your concerns, you are met with diminishing remarks like, "You're being sensitive" or "Is this your first time having surgery?". You would think the staff would be more compassionate and less demeaning or patronizing but unfortunately the unprofessionalism stems from the top--there is no standard of professionalism you'd expect for this type of establishment. Client care should be client specific, instead its more like a one-size fits all. For your hour appointment, you are set for 30min under a heating pad. Then you are given a deep tissue massage for the next 30min. They are rarely consistent and Ive realized the novelty quickly wears off once you've reached further in your postop journey. The owner is extremely rude. I guess this is her first business and she thinks very highly of herself. I understand that, unfortunately, that attitude is distasteful. No one wants to invest time and money into a business that doesn't appreciate their patronage. She greets you with very ghetto mannerisms, just like her staff and doesn't really show genuine respect or concern for your postop care. Her favorite line is, "This is a business"-- paired with a few hand claps. I wish I could recommend them. Its hard to find postop care in this part of NYC. As a latin woman, I like to promote other female-owned businesses. But this place is not worth the time. Im very disappointed. The reviews are fake, everyone is "Colombian" but they all have Boricua accents when they speak Spanish, they disrespect you in a passive-aggressive way and they look for money grabs every chance they get. Even if you enjoy deep tissue massages for your postop care, their customer service is the pits. Go somewhere else, invest your time. Please go somewhere else to spend your money when it comes to postop massages. During these times a month to two months post op are very precious as you need to be discipline by wearing your faja everyday, boards everyday and getting rid of inflammation and liquid trapped inside your body. When I finished my massage here, I was left with fibrosis. I decided not to continue a second package with this company because I honestly felt like they did everything as a routine as oppose to looking at my body and paying attention to certain parts that needed to be worked on. Every time I came to my massage appointment I was received a little heating pad to put on my stomach and was never offered any other tools or machines that they promote on Instagram to help get all of my liquid out from my bbl. Instead they promoted a healthy diet such as pineapple tea and herbal tea. ( which my doctor did not recommend because this makes you loose weight and can also defeat the purpose of a bbl by loosing your butt). I came to this establishment going from a 1.5 into two months. I did not receive the proper care to take out all of the liquid that was inside of my body and noticed that girls who promote for this brand get better treatment, uses more machines that was never offered to me. There was a time where I even spoke up to the specialist who did my massages and told her I felt like I had liquids trapped in my body and she told me that there were air pockets. She doesn't speak any English and I had a receptionist translate it to me as I try to talk out my concerns. Come to find out that same area where they told me I had air pockets I ended up developing fibrosis. I found this out when I decided to go to a new medspa to continue my massages. The new medspa used different high frequency machines that this spa should Of used on me ( being that they have it). When I went to my second Medspa, the owner asked "where have you been going to get your massages done? They didn't do a good job and you still have liquid trapped inside your body." I was very concerned and emotionally upset because surgery is a hard thing to go through. I was discipline, I listened to everything that they told me to do and still left with fibrosis which put an emotional toll on me. When I called the receptionist and voiced my concerns she came up with every excuse under the sun as opposed to trying to take care of the situation. She didn't offer any additional services, didn't offer me to talk to an owner/ manager. She just kept explaining about how everyone's body is different. I explain to her that yes everyone's body is different but their massage specialist did the same thing every time I came to the massage and didn't switch up any methods, try different machines, or examine what's the next part of my body that I needed to work on. And even when I voiced my concerns about my body, I was denied treatment and told I had air pockets as oppose to liquid. She also mentioned that "no one else has complained." What a sorry excuse, they must not read their negative Yelp reviews because most of the things that people are complaining about are true. Not taking any accountability for their own actions. Later, I went on Instagram and noticed the owner was going to go on live and talk about post op care and fibrosis as oppose to reaching back out to me in a professional manner. She voiced her opinion by saying that she's going to go "In"on her live to talk about juicy topics of how post op works and customers doing their part as much as Medspas do theirs. Well unfortunately, she can't be talking about me.. I have worn my front board back board and faja everyday. I have eaten healthy been working out and followed all instructions that my doctor told me to do. Thank god I am at a new medspa where they are taking care of this problem and Really paying attention to my fibrosis and taking care of this serious manner. There was also another time where I was coming out of my massage and I did not throw out my disposable underwear being that I did not see a garbage. The owner walked up to me with two customers present in front of the store and told me that I left the underwear on the floor and to pick it up. I was so embarrassed that I said sorry and ended up picking it up but didn't understand why she had no consideration of the fact that I've had a BBL had my arms liposuction and had my thighs Lipopsuction, and I was in serious pain when I bent down to pick anything up as opposed to her massage specialist helping me. Especially when I gave her additional tips on top of her service, very rude and dissatisfying establishment. Completely disappointed. read more

I wanted to go for second touchup appointment at a later time n the girl kept insisting 11am (to attend other customers later that day that's what the secretary said) which i cudn't make appointment to. It wud be okay if for 2nd touchup wanted a little more but $350 to pay again. Not fair. The brows were uneven since the first time which i told her and she said she "drew a new brow" but it was way too uneven. I went to another lady for microshading n she told me that it was a badly done poor job that one brow was uneven from the other. Not fair that i didn't like my job the first time n they weren't willing to give my money back. I was willing to see jessica for second time so she cud "fix them" but it cudn't happen bc she was "already working with someone " according to the secretary some time after i cudn't make it n i called them i was going to be arriving soon. To charge another $350 is just too much after paying all previous pricey cancellation fees. Not considerate with prices or timing and the job was not well done as the brows were uneven which i mentioned to her first time after they were done. I love how professional this place is but also friendly. Here at Silhoutte they have your best interest and they help you to achieve your body goals! The massages that I've received right after my surgery were so good! They cater to the needs of your body. When your massage session is over you definitely see a huge difference with your body versus from when you came in. The vibe is amazing along with the ambiance to help you relax.
