After the bridal store I had originally purchased my wedding dress from told me they "lost" my dress 5 days before my wedding - I was in a state of absolute shock!! From that bridal store, I went to straight to Google and searched for 'bridal store near me', and started going through the reviews and pictures! I was immediately blown away by the pictures of dresses I saw at Love Couture Bridal, so I immediately gave them a call, briefly explained my situation and asked them if they took walk-ins - and they told me to head on over!! Fast forward - I literally cannot BEGIN to tell you how I went from feeling overwhelmed and panicked, to completely calm and at ease!!! And that was ALL thanks to the AMAZING team at Love Couture Bridal; especially Lauren!!! From the minute I walked in, Lauren sat me down and explained what my options were given that my wedding was 5 DAYS AWAY!!! Yes... 5 days !! I described what I was hoping for in terms of styles, gave her my size and within 15 minutes she had at least 10 dresses pulled and ready for me to try on. Did I need to try on all 10? No - literally after trying on the second dress both my mum and I were in tears because it was evident that that was THE dress for me!!! After choosing the dress (or perhaps it was the dress choosing me), I was taken to another fitting room where Celeste (one of their AMAZING seamstresses), worked with my mother and I to go through what was needed in terms of the fitting. The level of attention to detail, and the kindness that was shown by Lauren and Celeste was absolutely AMAZING!!! My mother and I had a difference of opinion on how low the cut should be with my dress - and Celeste listened to us both and found an amazing middle ground!! After paying for the dress I was told to come back two days later for the final fitting - and I literally could not have been more in awe!!! She was amazing, she had my wife try on her dress and Mrs Luz with a few pin ups and consultation on what exactly she would do to make the dress fit perfectly for my wife, where she would make the cuts, stitching and a few other alterations, she really made my wife feel confident the alterations would be perfect, not to mention we needed it done in less than a week. We picked the dress up 5 days later and OMG it was perfect and altered to fit my wife exactly as the dress was meant to fit. They provided all the suits for everyone in my…read morewedding, totaling 10 suits with 3 different combinations for people in 5 different states, including a suit for a woman. We were worried about fittings given that nobody could come into the shop itself, but besides a few small adjustments day-of, everything fit perfectly. Their suits are definitely of high quality, and the people working there are kind, responsive, and overall and top-knotch to work with. Zero regrets, would rent from them again.

There are some more 'everyday' items, such as the natural (undyed) overall-style cotton bib dress I got with buttons and a pocket on the front, plus pockets on the sides. It's practical and fun, with that cultural touch and connection that I enjoy .... It's very useful and I wear it regularly. Cotton is also good for the skin! This shouldn't require an exclamation mark to convey some meaning of surprise, but it's amazingly difficult to find something like this so much of the time. Other cotton dresses I'd tried were uncomfortable with annoying seams -- but this one is more flowy and made to be worn with a shirt underneath so that works very well for me. I also got a ring and I really need to go back to see the new-style Indian shoes that have grippy bottoms, and other small things I haven't gotten a chance to see as of yet .... The woman running the shop stayed open late to help me find a lehenga that I could wear without significant alterations. While the shop isn't huge, there were a couple of different options that met my requirements. She made a small on the spot alteration to adjust the top to fit me better and invited me to come back later for a free more thorough job. I wish I'd gotten her name, but she was a lifesaver!

The shopping experience itself was fun and the salesperson picked out a great selection of dresses for me...and only after informed me the dress I picked was not an off-the-rack dress and would need to be ordered. She PROMISED multiple times that I would have my dress in hand by March 15, with the necessary 3 months to alter the dress. I would not have purchased the dress without her guarantees, and I even paid a rush fee. March rolls around and I hear nothing from the store. I called several times and no pick up. The store responded via email that they were closed (and apparently didn't have access to the store?) for the ENTIRE month of March, despite having promised me I would have my dress in March. Turns out their contract meant THEY would have my dress in March and would not have to give it to me until they felt like it. After nearly changing my travel plans, they gave me a 2 hour time slot on a Saturday (day of) where I could pick up my dress (no fitting) and refunded my rush fee. Although the store did try to remedy their mistake by issuing me a rush fee refund, I recommend you avoid a needlessly stressful dress experience and shop elsewhere. When I did receive my dress, there was no bustle (they told me this came with the dress during the fitting). It was also extra upsetting that I couldn't have a second fitting to pick up the dress, as I was really looking forward to bringing my bridesmaids to it.
