Sam's team came in with a super reasonable quote, several hundred dollars less than most of the others. Will's tree care also a local, 2nd gen family owned San Martin based team, equipped with all required professional licenses, safety equipment, bonding etc. Sam was able to fit us in within about 10 days and his team knocked out the job in less than 6 hours. They removed all the trees, ground the stumps, cleaned the litter completely from our house and our neighbor's, and smoothed out/refilled the holes where the trunks had been. Next up, Sam is going to help our friend at his downtown commercial property to manage some complex root/limb removal. Sam also gave us a great referral for a local nursery, Greenfield Nursery in San Martin which carries a large array of fruit trees and low prices. Got an honest quote right up front from these guys and scheduled them for a grind. Super friendly, professional and punctual. Cut the remaining trunk down and ground down and was able to go 1'-1.5' deep in the soil so I can plant a more size-appropriate tree here. Our drip line was too close to the grind and got clipped but before I even saw it, they had capped it off after they blew the saw dust off the driveway. Call these folks first. You'll get some whacky quotes otherwise. Like one was for $350.
