From far away it looked okay, but when I looked closely, the paint was unevenly distributed, the texture on my toe fingers were not smooth, and she painted the color on some part of my skin. I desperately needed to get my nails done! I had to drop off something at the UPS which happened to be right next door to this nail salon. I just walked in and I was greeted by the male employee and he asked what I needed to get done today. I told him what I needed and a lady came in and started right away on me. I got a full set done with no gel in the color dark red. The lady who did my nails took her time and really tried to make my nails look pretty. I don't mind it but sometimes I get impatient because it took literally almost 2 hours. When she was applying the nail polish she didn't a great job because there was smudges outside of my nail which she tried to clean. Overall, she did a good job but I wouldn't want her to do my nails again because of how long it took her. The service was great and the salon was maintained well! read more

I'm not one for always doing an update review but! I feel like I have to! Everytime I go there, Ben is always able to get the colors I want! He is awesome and fast. I get powder gel nails. Whenever I show him something I want for a color online (cause let's face it, I'm not the most artistic with colors) he gets it right on point. When he doesn't have a color, he tries to incorporate two colors for me to get the colors I want. First time was a grey blue I wanted. He laid a grey and on top put a baby blue on top to get the color I want. This time around, it was a sparkly green I wanted that's kind of medium green. He laid a dark green with a lighter green on top which looked exactly like the colors I wanted to copy! I never go anywhere else as Ben is super fast. I am very sad to write this review, a good friend of mine referred me to Professional Nails and I was excited to go for my first appointment today (7/21/22). I had a 5:00pm appt, on my way there an accident occurred on the freeway so I called to alert the salon that I might be a few mins late. Nancy assured me not to worry, they would wait. I actually got there at 5:01pm so all good. I let Nancy know when I arrived who I was & what my name was and she asked if I had an appt (? Well, that was interesting because I had just called AND gave my name to say I might be late) I replied yes, she appeared puzzled but checked the book and said oh, ok. She said take a seat. I realized that I had parked in a limited time space so I let Nancy know I would need to quickly move my car and be right back(all the technicians had customers at that time) I got right back and sat down. Someone came down the aisle and asked me what service I was getting and I said Gel/mani. I noted that I currently had Gel on my nails but was not happy with the last salon that did them (reminder, this is my first time here) She handed me a folder and said pick a color then went back to her station. I did not find a color I liked on what she handed me so when she returned I asked if there were more colors, this seemed to frustrate her. She returned with a hand-full of rings and dropped them into my hands and told me to let her get started. I followed her to her station while struggling with all the color rings she dropped in my hands and my purse trying not to drop anything on the floor. I was not successful, as I got to the chair the rings broke free from my hand and fell to the floor. She never once tried to help me. Since she never said hello my name is ... or any kind of customer focused greeting I "assumed" she was Rose since that is who the appt was with. She sat down and said I think your nails are fine they did a good job, what's wrong. I proceeded to tell and show her the different things going on with my nails including the broken one. (my nails are less than a week old and I had not been particularly active to cause breakage) I l know nails break sh*t happens but that was not the case. She hesitated and again said I think they did a good job, she stopped and just looked at me, I said ok well you didn't do them I am not accusing you. She just kept looking at me like she didn't want to proceed. She asked if I wanted to continue I said yes. I am still trying to hold the rings and keep them from being everywhere, so I gave up looking for a color as I could do that with one hand while she e-filed the top coat of Gel off. She said do you want to choose the color before I wrap the nails to remove all Gel, yes, I replied. So she gets up takes the color rings and says something like he will do this for you, (Who? And why?) She had me move to another station and said sit here. She then brings a whole other customer to her station and starts working on her? I have been getting my mails done for more years than I care to admit, this has never happened! I have an appt, this is my appt time, why are you not allowing me time to pick a color before we get started? I also tried to show her a picture of a color I would like and could she suggest something close? NO she says look at the color wall - again never had that happen before. So she starts the new person and I am now upset by this. She turns around and says pick a color. I am sitting at an empty station like a punished child, the Gel that was originally on my nails was now partially on and partially off. I am trying to understand why she has moved me and started someone else so I am now over the whole experience and ready to leave. Again this treatment was unbelievable to me it felt rude and like she didn't want to do my nails from the beginning. I quietly got up and walked out, she says, as I was leaving, did you pick a color? No. Awful experience simply awful! No one was helpful the owners made no effort to ask what happened and why I was leaving. YIKES! $15 for a manicure. I wasn't expecting that. However, Sandy did a helluva good job on those cutes. She was getting all up in there, making sure the nail was perfect. A very nice little arm and hand massage to boot. A nice arrange of colors. Be mindful if you do have a preference, no Essie here, only OPI. A nice row of massage chairs for those pedi's and waxing in the back. Plenty of parking, which is alway a bonus. Overall, a tad bit pricy for a mani, but if every time is as thorough and pleasant as it was with Sandy, than it's worth it. read more

I love this place!!! Sure, the acetone smell when you first walk in is strong, but the service and quality of this place is great. My mom and I both got shellac manicures, French tip being $35 and my Christmas themed nails $40. This is reasonably priced, not too expensive or remarkably cheap. They are gentle with the cuticles and the entire manicure itself, and they do everything so fast compared to other salons we've been to. In addition, we set an appointment and they seated us within 5-10 minutes time. The ladies are sweet and listen to every request. These nail techs talked mad shit about me not knowing I was Vietnamese. This salon is FUCKING RACIST. Apparently they think Europeans and middle easterners are annoying for their business. It's my first time here and I wanted to try it out since it's down the street from my work place. I found them on yelp One of the employees was using a broom to clean up. She gathered up so much gunk dust and dirt, SWEPT THE WHOLE PILE AT ME not once, but twice!!!! I came in for my 5 o'clock appointment. As I was sitting there getting my nails done, that employee started banging all the furniture around in an extremely loud manner. I'm trying to unwind after a long of work and the unnecessary loud banging of the furniture is not the "spa" environment I want to be in. She was upset I came in at 5 because they close at 6 (when the salon booked me for 5). I nicely told her can you please stop sweeping dust at me you want to know what she said? "WELL I HAVE TO CLEAN UP SO WEAR A MASK" No you swept the whole pile at my face again after and tried to argue back with me. She muttered in Vietnamese "These Europeans/middle eastern are so annoying" thinking I didn't understand her. She also called me a bitch in Vietnamese. Her and my nail tech tried to compare it to a restaurant saying when you come in during closing time, people are going to vacuum and it's loud. First off, it's not even near closing time. Secondly, there is no logic or correlation between the 2. This bitch is sweeping dust gunk and shit she got between the cracks and under the pedicure station. She was only 12 inches always from me when she swept it directly at me. She kept arguing back at me not even caring or apologizing for the fact that she threw dust on me. I am not sure why there are such good reviews of this place. As someone who has had their nails done all over the bay area on and off for almost 20 years, this place was barely mediocre. First, the staff seemed to be annoyed that I brought picture of what I was looking for. The technician that was available was not able to shape the stiletto nails I asked for without help and I was left with terribly uneven and crooked nails. Some were not even bonded to my natural nail correctly. A full set took almost 2 hours and I was passed from person to person to try and pull off a simple ombre. They ended up painting my nails with regular polish, glitter polish then covering that in gel before the regular polish was dry. As the day went on, the gel topcoat started to drift and I ended up with big pits in the polish. I asked why they didn't use glitter acrylic to achieve the look I wanted since that is what the picture showed. They informed me that "you can't use more than two colors in acrylic powder" which is utter nonsense, because I have had it done before. They also told me they couldn't do ombre in gel polish (also nonsense since I went home, drilled everything off, reshaped my own nails and did ombre in the gel colors I have at home). This place is full of lazy nail techs, if you want one color and don't want acrylics, they may be ok... but otherwise not worth the time. I should have known from the pictures posted that this place was pedestrian at best. The nail implements used were in a container marked "soiled" and didn't appear to be clean. Even the airbrush gun used was caked full of old white nail polish. read more
