Biscuits and gravy are my thing and there's was actually really, really good. I was very impressed. But their bacon had an odd taste that I didn't like and the sos was just average. Warning: just know that all of their portion sizes are able to feed a small army. I ordered the three pancakes and they literally weighed about 10 pounds. It was insane. I ate about a tenth of it and I was full. Lastly, the cinnamon roll. I love cinnamon rolls and was excited to try theirs. For $5 you get a roll the size of the average human head. Sill's at Red Rock!! Opened this morning! We have not been to the original in Layton But are always excited when a new restaurant offering comes along up in the valley. The owners, Shelly and Dave Sill and daughter Chelsea had the place running like a smooth operation! They were all very friendly and specifically came to our table to introduce themselves. Our breakfasts were great! I had the Dales and the hubs had the Boss! I think the Dales is just a "mini-boss" but was more than enough for me. Boss had 2 scrambled eggs with American cheese 3(maybe4) pieces of bacon and what appears to be home made hash browns!!!! With their SOS gravy! SOS gravy ...think flavorful country gravy with hamburger (instead of sausage), pepper and Italian seasoning! Awesome!! My Dales breakfast was a smaller version 1 egg(you choose the way you want it) and 2 strips bacon with the hash browns and SOS gravy! Both come with their homemade scones. Think fry bread with cinnamon (?) and their honey butter!! Amazing! The scones came out first and fresh out of fryer so very hot and yummy As a girl from Wisconsin, I appreciate a solid portion of butter !!! My hash browns and family's hash browns were very under cooked I asked them if they could redo them and instead of cooking it on the flat top they chose too throw my hash browns in a fryer. I just don't get it. Who is writing these reviews. I wouldn't feed their so called gravy to my dogs. They call it sausage gravy..... most places serve passable gravy not here. I tried their sos gravy as well. It's the same stuff as their sausage gravy. SOS stands for Sh*t on a shingle. Chipped beef gravy on toast. I expected chipped beef gravy not whatever they serve. Ordered scrambled eggs with cheese and onions and got too fried eggs with sliced cheese on top. I guess breakfast means something else here I've had better breakfast from a roach coach. That gravy is about the worst I've ever tasted in my 58 yrs. I wouldn't wait 1 min to be seated here in fact we will never return.
