These swim lessons were a significant investment for our family, and over our last eight sessions, we experienced repeated cancellations, rescheduling, and poor communication--all due to changes on their end. At one point, we drove to our scheduled lesson only to find the building closed because no one had notified us it had been canceled. We were also moved from the day, time, and instructor we initially paid for, and had a last minute cancellation due to us only being the lesson for the day. Throughout it all, I remained patient, flexible, and understanding. However, the final scheduling issue for a makeup lesson from their cancellation was handled in a way that felt dismissive and disrespectful. After weeks of accommodating their changes, I simply requested a refund for our last lesson because I no longer felt comfortable continuing. Unfortunately, the owner, Holly, never responded or honored that request. At $72 for a 30-minute lesson, I believe families should be able to expect reliable communication and professional customer service. This review isn't about one cancellation--it's about a consistent pattern of poor communication and a lack of accountability. I hope this feedback encourages improvements so other families have a better experience.

It seems like getting kids into swim school in Reno is more difficult than getting our kids into Harvard. Some waitlists were over a year! Luckily we were able to get into British swim school without a waitlist! Thank goodness with the summer approaching.   The instructors were very knowledgeable, professional and great with kids. We as parents felt like we had some great skills to work on before the next class. Salvador was exceptional in his delivery, and we feel very confident in having him teach both our kids (older one is now a starfish and working towards separation from us in the water). Salvador was also the best swimmer I have ever seen in my life. I hope my kids can swim like him someday!   We were not aware of this hotel before attending class and it was extremely nice and well maintained on the inside. It has a chic atmosphere and a really nice pool. The pool area was surprisingly large and very well maintained. I also heard there is a speakeasy bar that's there. Maybe we will check that out sometime also. The staff there were super friendly and helpful and provide detailed instructions for parking in their onsite garage. I most likely will be recommending the Plaza Resort Club Hotel for my out of state family/friends when they visit.   I would highly recommend the British Swim School of Reno to anyone that I know. She landed on her head one of their customers found her went back inside and contacted management. David Jacobs the general manager came out and took care of my mom who had an obvious head injuries. He would not allow anyone to move her and called for an ambulance. I don't know if the outcome would've changed but what he did help protect my mother and I am so grateful and so is the rest of my family. Becca made him a safe swimmer and improved all of his skills. Specifically, Becca used various, innovative techniques to encourage our son to try new things and eventually swim on his own. We also received status newsletters that explained our son's strengths, improvements, and plan going forward. Our son looked forward to his time with Becca and will miss her greatly.

The amenities inside are impressive: two water slides, a kiddie pool, two diving boards, a rock climbing wall over the water, and a competition pool. Outside, the setup is just as beautiful, featuring another competition pool and a large grassy area with several covered picnic spots. The lifeguards here are super friendly and excellent with little kids. One lifeguard at the rock wall even took the time to give my daughter and other kids tips on how to climb a bit higher. All of this comes at a very affordable price: $6 for kids and $7 for adults, which is an amazing deal for everything they offer. We visit the pool several times a year for our kids' swim meets. Our favorite events are the outdoor meets because the grassy area is perfect for setting up canopies and relaxing while cheering on the swimmers. Highly recommend Carson Valley Swim Center for families looking for fun, affordable, and well-maintained pool time!

Bell's singing was so beautiful and Geston was hilariously full of himself (how he should be)! All of the performers were so good (and I know a few were High School or younger which is very impressive). Vocals on point, costumes/props perfection, choreography awesome, and we had the best time. I can't imagine how much time it takes to put something like this together... the talent! I'm exited to see what other plays they will be doing down the road. My daughter was dancing around the house when we got home pretending to be one of the performers. (The best compliment is imitation right?!) Well done!!

The group did an incredible job in their presentation of this 1950's Broadway hit. Gamblers, gangsters, show girls and missionaries all collide in this comedic musical. The entire ensemble seemed perfectly casted. The over 100 costumes propelled you swiftly back to the mobster era of the late 20's. All the voices were strong and on mark. The dance scenes were full of energy. I enjoyed the simple set they created. It allowed for quick scene turnarounds. Performances at the Hawkins Amphitheater are wonderful. Set up on the natural hillside inside Bartley Ranch, you can enjoy outdoor shows in the Nevada evenings. Seating was good, easy line of vision to the stage, as we sat rows 4 and 5 with seats 1,2, & 3. Sound was great through the entire show. Seating was reserved pre sales. I do recommend bringing a cushion. The spacious metal seats can get a hard by the second act. Plenty of on property parking. Bring a flashlight to get back to your car. There are no lot lights. Why don't more residents enjoy our local theater groups. They are so affordable and simply do a fantastic job.
