Mark is the best! He took my large group of 12 friends to multiple vineyards, which he helped us book, and where we were greeted and treated like something special at every place, in large part because of his relationships with the community. We had such a smooth sailing day from place to place and even for our dinner booking! His shuttle is totally clean and doesn't smell at all! And neither he nor the shuttle smells of heavy colognes or icky air fresheners. It's just spotless and clean. He played great music and was friendly and helpful, while totally giving us our space. Our group of 4 hired Mark for a day in Santa Ynez valley tasting wines. Since we are all Seniors, we have been "tasting" for many years and have been to SY many times. My husband and Mark talked for a while and came up with 3 -4 options. We did not want to repeat old favorites / wanted some new to us places. Mark arrived on time with a clean vehicle ready for our day! he had suggested a wonderful place to pick up sandwiches for lunch which we passed on our way out of town. The day was picture perfect. Unlike days of old where we would have stood inside at a bar and tired to drink quickly to get to next winery. Each place he picked he seemed to know the people and we felt we got special service. At the first place we sat outside at tables and we served different wines by a really friendly lady. We spent 2 hours, relaxing, drinking wine and visiting with our friends. Perfect morning. Around lunchtime we arrived at our 2nd place in the middle of vineyards. Mark took us to the courtyard and seated us at a long table overlooking a valley. Perfect! As we ate our lunch we enjoyed some wonderful wines served by a super nice gentleman. As the lazy afternoon moved on we decided to cancel our 3rd place. If you are looking for transportation/wine tour guide/excellent service- Silvercloud Transportation is the ONLY way to go! If I could give them 10 stars I would! I have used Mark's services twice now and he has yet to disappoint. He knows where to go and is knowledgeable about wine and the Los olivos/Santa Ynez area. Both times I have had a group of girlfriends with me and he always remained courteous and professional. My only advice is if you are looking to book a wine tasting tour ($299 sun-thurs, $399 fri-sat, 6 hour rate- 11am to 5pm) is to hear out where he recommends. I would trust his ideas, he knows what's good and what's out there! I just did a wine tour on a Sunday with 4 wineries and lunch (picked up at Panino Los Olivos-another great recommendation) and we visited Beckmens, Bridlewood, Zaca Mesa, and Andrew Murray. Mark recommended 3/4, Bridlewood not being recommended as I had already been there before. Man, was he right about his picks!! LOVED Beckmans, Zaca & AMV! I kinda wish I chose another winery than Bridlewood, mostly because it was a repeat visit (it's a such a gorgeous place) but it was kind of snooty service this time around. But the service at the other 3 were lovely, esp. since they were friendly, professional, and seemed knowledgable about their wines. So thank you Mark for giving us a memorable experience! If you are looking for wine tasting transportation in the Santa Ynez área stop here, you will not be disappointed! I texted several companies and Mark immediately got back to me. His customer service is top notch and he is SO on top of everything! He sent me a listing of the wineries he recommended and after researching them, I decided they were really good choices and I was looking forward to going to new wineries. He has connections all over the valley and we were very well taken care of everywhere we went. He arrived 15 mins before we were supposed to leave and we were off to our first wine tasting at Beckmens. If you are worried about Covid, most of the wineries did a really good job of social distancing, masks and beckmens had all the tastings on our table, ready to go with menus of the wines, waters, breadsticks, hand sanitizers and the glass was complimentary after our tasting. From there he took us to Koehler and Demetria and a small tasting room. Everything was amazing. I had asked mark if he could, to pick up some cheese and meats and he delivered the most beautiful meat and cheese platter, we were all so impressed. I am in Solvang visiting family, while here I'm taking advantage of wine country. Rather than be stuck with a designated driver in our group, I called these guys. Marc our driver picked us up and took us to vineyards of our choice. He knows the area really well and had no problem finding my cousins house then getting us out to vineyards including tasting rooms is Los Olivios. The limo itself was clean and nice. It had bottled water and a complimentary bottle of wine! Towards the end Marc recommend this great tapas and tasting room. Unreliable! My husband and I booked Mark for a private tour of the wineries near Solvang this past weekend. It was for our wedding anniversary. However, Mark never showed up! He didn't even bother to call. We had to call him several times, text him, even had the hotel we were staying at call him, to no avail. Finally, after thirty minutes, he called me back. His response was that his car broke down EARLIER that morning, that there are a lot of people out there who do the same thing as him, and we should just have our hotel book someone else. He was barley apologetic. I understand that cars do break down, if his indeed did, but to not call right when it happens is poor business sense. And of course our hotel was unable to find any private companies who were available for a tour due to the fact that it was a summer weekend. I just got back tonight from my trip to Solvang this weekend of celebration and wine tasting. We had hired the services of Silver Cloud to cater to our transportation needs for Saturday for 10 people. This....company...delivered! Mark was so on top of our every need. He was always 5 to 10 minutes early so we never were waiting on him. He was very knowledgeable about the wineries and made some recommendations, which by the way rocked because we discovered a bangin' chardonnay that the whole group also loved and bought a bottle! He even took us to a olive oil tasting spot that he knew of since we were ahead of schedule. He was once again on point with the recommendations because the group loved the olive oil selection and taste of them and all bought a bottle or two. Mark was like a ninja, rarely did a bag or a box of wine stay in our hands for more than a few seconds before Mark came out of the shadows to whisk it away and take to the van for storage. He also was just so on top of calling in and confirming reservations and/or letting other places know that we were heading their way or going to be late. If we needed to modify our reservation with upcoming wineries, Mark was on the horn in seconds to remedy any plan alterations. The customer service that Mark displayed is the epitome of the ideal experience that you would expect to have from a transportation company for such a fantastic day. Everything flowed so smoothly and it was in part because of Mark's involvement. 5 stars is not a rating high enough to give to Silver Cloud after the absolutely flawless day we had yesterday. Mark was even super kind enough to offer to drive the group to dinner and back later that night. This review may not do Silver Cloud the justice it deserves but I think its a start. This company is the only one you should consider and their rates beat most other companies in the area as well. This double whammy of great rates and superb customer service gives you absolutely no reason to use anyone else! If I am wrong on this recommendation of a transportation company you may need and you aren't satisfied after trying them, message me. I will print my review out and eat my words, literally, no joke. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Mark is AMAZING. The fiance and I headed up to Solvang to celebrate my birthday and to do a little wine tasting along Foxen Canyon Wine Trail. I did my usual research using Yelp to find the best way to tour the wineries and am beyond happy that I found Mark. I did call several other local companies as well as look into Grapeline and Stagecoach tours. After comparing prices and services, Mark beat everyone because you get more of a personalized tour and get to choose what you do. On the day of Mark was there promptly at our 11 a.m. scheduled pick up time. He was very friendly and asked us what we were thinking of doing and also made great suggestions. We were thinking we'd need him for four hours but were having such an amazing time throughout the day that we were with him for 7 hours. His service was above and beyond! He got us delicious sandwiches at Panino for lunch, he even surprised me with a box of mini cupcakes for my birthday from Enjoy cupcakes in Los Olivos! It's the little details like that that truly describe what excellent customer service is all about. He also got us in to do some olive oil tasting in Los Olivos. I never imagined I'd be doing an olive oil tasting, but it was so fun and interesting. With his professional connections, we were able to see much of Los Olivos/Foxen Canyon that we probably would've never seen without him. The highlight of our day was his suggestion of where to eat our sandwiches for lunch - Demetria. He is good friends with everyone there and it was cool to see them joking around with him. When he saw that they were a little busy and weren't pouring our tastings fast enough he grabbed the bottles himself and came out and poured our tastings. And his recommendation was spot on - Demetria has gorgeous sweeping views of the vineyards on a beautiful property. I could've stayed there forever! We even got some information from their event planner about possibly having our wedding there. All in all, it was the best time we've ever had wine tasting and I would strongly recommend Mark to anyone! My husband and I hired Mark for the day yesterday. We came up to Santa Barbara county for a little kid-free getaway and to explore wine country. Mark picked us up from our hotel promptly at the time we requested. He was courteous, dressed sharp and the van was very clean. He had a touring plan for us that we more or less stuck to. His plan included a few of the places that we had on our mental list as well. He made a few impromptu stops based on the type of experience we were looking for and what he thought we would enjoy. His recommendations were SPOT ON! We stopped in the charming town of Los Olivos to do an olive oil and vinegar tasting. While we were tasting he ordered and picked up our lunch. We took our lunch to a lovely winery where we sat on the patio with a gorgeous view while eating. All the while the staff was bringing our tastings to us! We were able to experience a lot of little extras that we would have never been able to do on our own or with a "big" tour company. He totally let us customize our day and we were so delighted by his flexibility. The apex of our day came at the end of the tour. Our last stop was at a "wine bar" of sorts that was on the property of a custom crush facility. We received a private tour of the facility from the owner, but that wasn't the best of it. After our tour ended we were introduced to a legendary SB county winery owner/winemaker who just happened to be there. We were invited by him and the owner for a private tasting and wine talk. My boyfriend hired Mark for a wine tour when we were in Solvang a couple months back and he was awesome! Since it was a Monday, we ended up with the van to ourselves and Mark gave a us a rainy day discount. (thanks mark!) He took us to five or six different wineries in the allotted time...4 or 5 hours, I think. And they were fantastic. He is from the Solvang area, so he knows a lot about the wineries, restaurants, people, etc. but not to the point where it's annoying. He gave a great tour and even threw in a few bonuses. We came back to the van from one of the first tastings and he had sprinkled rosemary and wildflowers on the floor of the van. I thought it was a nice touch and the van smelled great. For lunch he suggested sandwiches from this great little deli and drove us to a beautiful winery that was so out of the way that we NEVER would have found it on our own.
