Scott was our tour guide through this wine tour. He was friendly, gave us insight to some history not only about each location, but also the wine makers and fun facts about the cities we explored. It was a very intimate experience, we were only a group of 4. I absolutely loved Dafoe winery, it was my favorite winery and Emily was an absolute delight (wine makers wife, hostess with the mostest). These tours are not accessible to the public. You have to be invited, which made this all the better. My husband and I bought wines at each spot, we enjoyed them all for different reasons. Lunch was superb, Scott even brought his own table decor and everything had such a nice and intimate touch. Nothing went unnoticed during our tour. I will definitely be back and highly recommend. Santa Ynez wine tasting tour was excellent; the boutique wineries (x3) were vastly different/unique from each other; and each vintner was engaging! Our guide, KARINA was very knowledgeable; while driving, she imparted geographical & weather information which explained why the 'triangle' is exceptionally favorable to growing so many varietals of grapes. We were a family group of 5 & a couple joined us for a total of 7ppl; this was the perfect size group. Only 2x small suggestions; #1. lunch was rushed at the end of VInter's presentation; only 10min to eat delicious boxed lunches before departing for the next winery; most of us were unable to finish & felt compelled to re-box & take without refrigeration; most likely reason for stalled lunch service...Karina relied on the Vintner's pacing; he was juggling several small groups, simultaneously. #2 Karina's voice needed to be amplified while driving; guests seated in the rear of the van strained to listen to her.
