He goes above and beyond and you can tell he is passionate about giving you a great experience through and through. He is communicative and has great recommendations in the area, as well as connections at many wineries. He adds little touches throughout the day - bringing waters and blankets to you, setting out a table cloth or picnic area, playing great music during the ride. He may even snap a few pictures during the day as an added bonus! On top of that, he's just an all around great human, with some great stories! Mark is impeccable with his service and his tranport vehicle super clean and spacious. We were only able to get reservations at 2 out of the 3 of the wineries we wanted to visit and Mark got us into the 2 we could not get into on our own. I wanted to surprise my girlfriend with a weekend getaway to Santa Ynez and I decided to book a wine tour. I contacted Mark at Silver Cloud Transportation, and he was very helpful and eager to show us a great time. His hospitality was unlike any other of the companies in the area. My husband and I did a weekend getaway to Santa Barbara. We found Silver Cloud transportation and decided to book. Our driver was Mark, he not only put our safety/health concerns at ease with his extremely clean car, mask, and extra precautions but he went ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure we had the best time. Mark was so friendly and well connected in the area. He knew exactly which wineries to take us to, he had the best recommendations. He took us to some wineries we never would have found on our own. He brought us snacks, treats, water etc throughout the day which we were NOT expecting (again above and beyond). Mark was excellent. I highly recommend Silver Cloud. We were a group of 8 ladies interested in a day of wine tasting. We were staying at cabins at Jamala Beach and Mark was willing to pick us up all the way out there. Mark arrived a little early, dressed very nicely, and the van was clean. Mark at SilverCloud was amazing!!! I really cannot say enough nice things about my experience. He picked us up in Santa Barbara at 1030 AM. Mark stopped on the way to pick up breakfast and then he drove us to 3 wineries and a tasting room. After the first Winery we returned to the car to find a bottle of wine opened and ready to drink and lots of water which remained fully stocked throughout the day. He picked up our lunch while we were at a tasting room and brought us to a beautiful vineyard to eat (BTW lunch was included!!). He drove us to dinner at the Hitching Post and waited for us to finish. We were with Mark for 12 hours!!! The price was right and the service outstanding. Fantastic experience! Couldnt be happier ...and I do not yelp. We had a large party. Van was beautiful and spacious . Mark the driver was dressed in shirt and tie ..even on warm day ..Looked very presentable and professional. Mark made sure everything ..and I mean everything was thought of taken care of, and cleaned up before we left a place. He even picked up our glasses behind us and delivered cold drinks to us when needed, instead of sitting in the bus waiting as some would do. My husband booked with Mark a few months out for our group of 12. They negotiated a rate and Mark was very helpful and communicative. A day before our reservation I spoke with Mark and he was again, very helpful and offered up some great suggestions and seemed to be on top of everything that our group would need. The problems began on the day of. Mark assured us that our driver would be picking up our lunch before picking up our group and I had made accommodations with the restaurant to do so but when Tom (our driver) arrived, he let me know that we would have to stop between wineries. This was frustrating as it added at least an extra 30 min to our day between wineries. Tom was not at all personable and not particularly helpful. Probably the biggest issue was that we booked a van for a group of 12 and they sent Tom in a 12 person van - which meant that we had seating for 11 instead of 12. We also had an issue with the negotiated rate which my husband was able to work out but overall I just can't recommend this service based on the experience we had. read more

Mark took 10 of us to various wineries and the "Lompoc Wine Ghetto" this weekend. He was prompt, knowledgeable about the area and very professional. He goes above and beyond the call of duty. He called Ken Brown tasting room to make an appointment for us, supplied bottled water, and even cleaned up after our picnic at Demetria so we had a little more time to enjoy our surroundings. He even returned to our hotel in the evening to drive us to dinner and then returned us to our hotel when we were finished. Drinking and driving...it's a losing proposition. Thankfully we had Mark to squire us about town. As we went from one winery to the next, our rather large group became increasingly.....lubricated. Thankfully Mark's patience did not wane with our eclectic and rowdy birthday group. Also thankfully, his van was already stocked with waters for rehydration. I have now been to the Solvang/Santa Ynez area several times and now I will be assured to get a driver every time it is possible. It is worth it even if you aren't drinking if you simply get nervous on those fairly windy, and sometimes confusing, roads. We also paid an additional 50 bucks so he could take us out for dinner at the end of the night. He even went above and beyond to stop at CVS for us because my sister had an allergic reaction to mushrooms. Do yourself a favor and hire Mark. Then enjoy yourself...ideally. We told him what we kind of wines we liked, that we wanted to go "off the beaten path", and where to meet us. We got everything we asked for and more than we ever expected. He knew which wineries had the best wines we liked,he recommended restaurants, he took us on scenic back roads, to wineries and vineyards that the general public don't even know exist, let alone have open access to. He kept our wine purchases in an insulated cooler, he took us to a secluded winery for lunch and a tasting, over looking acres of vineyards, we visited thirteen boutique wineries in one day.
