    Sweet and Sour Chicken
    Jon S.

The sweet and sour chicken was cooked perfect and had the tasty sauce on the side as I asked. The pepper steak was delicious with lots of tender beef. The chicken chow yuk was very tasty, and had a lot of bean sprouts and other veggies. Unfortunately the crispy noodles that come with the dish were very stale and not edible but the dish didn't really need them. Menu prices on their website are slightly less than reality. My total was $48.50

    Beef Chow Mein

My family have been coming here for close to 30 years. I've had nothing but the best service from the owners and they recognize and greet us warmly every time we come in. Now look, my tastes are different from anyone else's but based on 30 years, they are solid. When I come in and order Beef Chow Mein or Salt and Pepper Shrimp, I know what I'm going to get. Every time. Consistency is key and they deliver. I realized on this excursion, that I prefer the Beef chow mein over the House chow mein. I think since the House chow mein has shrimp and Chicken on top of Beef, that there are too many competing flavors. Just pick the meat of your choice and you'll be fine. The Salt and Pepper shrimp are an absolute staple in my outings. The potstickers are good, not the best, but good. The Szechuan Beef was tasty, though I believe my better half liked it more since she ordered a second order to go I will keep coming here until they close the doors for good, and I hope that's a long way off.

    Vegetarian Spring Rolls

Ordered DoorDash to our hotel in Everett when we visited during the Tulip Festival. I'd been craving Chinese food because the only Asian restaurants I have near my home are teriyaki restaurants that try their best but miss every time when it comes to making Chinese. The food from Silver Dragon definitely hit the spot and was exactly what I was craving. The vegetarian spring rolls were crunchy and had fresh crisp veggies on the inside. The fried rice had just the right amount of soy sauce and the beef and broccoli was delicious as well. The broccoli were cut into nice bite size pieces and they were tender, not over cooked or too crunchy. The beef was also sliced thin and wasn't chewy but tender. I would definitely eat here again.

"Honey walnut prawns". The worst I've had. Cold, stale, smothered in mayo. Bland walnuts.. $19+ is not worth this. I barely ate a piece.

Okay. Hear me out. I don't usually submit 1 star reviews. Chinese food sounded good tonight. Ordered the honey walnut prawn and the "complete dinner". Order was picked up and delivered in a timely fashion via Uber Eats. But... Wow. I have never been this disappointed in an order. This was my first time ordering from silver dragon. And maybe my bar has been set higher for Chinese food that I.... ugh. Nvm. I can't make excuses for this. The order was one of the worst I've ever received from delivery. It was complete. Everything was there. But geez. When it states that the "complete dinner" comes with "egg roll, bbq pork, fried prawn, soup, and fried rice" you might expect there to be more than a single piece of pork, or prawn. But it literally means a single silver dollar piece of pork and a single prawn. I'm surprised it didn't come with only a single grain of rice based on the description. This would've been fine if it were called a "complete appetizer" at a fine dining experience (small portion), but calling it a "dinner" is simply misleading. Not to mention the "dinner" was uhm, not so fresh. Just the opposite. All of it was stale and barely warm. Except for the soup. The cup of egg drop soup (I think - I didn't get to select the type of soup. I even tried calling to see if there were options. No answer. Just voicemail). The honey walnut prawns was more of the same barely warm prawn in the complete dinner. Just covered in a dollop of mayo. The walnuts were plain. No glazing and not candied. I could only eat a piece. Can't do it. Spend your $19+ on honey walnut prawns elsewhere. I'm out $35 (not including the tip for the Uber) for this order and it's too late to try another place to get my fix for some decent Chinese.

Seafood soup veggie spring rolls and veggie delight......yum!

I have to start by saying Silver Dragon is on my wife's and my top ten local spots for a quick sit down. We have been married 25 years so I like to surprise her sometimes so whenever we go to Costco down the street after all that walking and pushing and waiting, The Silver Dragon is maybe 2 blocks away and the perfect spot to recharge and take a load off. Great customer service and what ever you order you should try the veggie spring rolls they are delicious. We had the Seafood soup and the veggies delight. Everything was well prepared and very satisfying. Each te we go I try and order something different however my wife gets the veggie delight everytime. The tea they serve is a perfect pallet cleanser when switching from appetizer to main course. We are happy to see they are bouncing back from the pandemic.

Our dining experience began with cold appetizers, including a mixed black fungus dish with a satisfying crunch and tangy vinegar flavor, alongside pickled lotus root vegetables with a garlicky and subtly spicy taste. For our main courses, we opted for the Deep Fried Fish Szechuan Style, which was filled with cod fish, had a lighter batter coating, and a pleasing crunch, but beware of its savory and fiery flavor, which intensifies after several bites. We also selected the Szechuan Hometown Tofu, which offered our taste buds a savory flavor, enhanced by chili sauce, a crunchy exterior, and a soft, silky interior. On the side, we ordered a bowl of steamed purple rice and white rice. This exceptional culinary experience combines the perfect balance of crunchiness, chili spice, garlicky freshness, and sweetness, rich flavors of Szechuan cuisine. I highly recommend this restaurant for an authentic Szechuan-style dining experience.

It is a huge portion but it is completely devoid of any flavor whatsoever. Usually onions add something but that did not help. I don't know how you can mess up noodles but no one in my family would eat them and there is one person in my family that will manage to eat almost anything and they refused. The sweet and sour chicken was drowning in sauce even though we asked more than once for the sauce to be on the side. We liked the bell peppers and onions in the sauce. The chicken pieces were of decent size. I did not care for the sauce. The white rice was well made and fluffy. The rice was probably the best part of the dish. About an hour later, we ended up throwing up the food. A complete waste of $31 dollars (which is pricey for what was supposed to be a lunch special). Also, vegetable chow mein and chicken chow mein is the same price which we found out after we had paid. Lunch is pictured and mention to include soup BUT you only get soup if you dine in. The place looked clean the the people seemed friendly. We may give them one more chance bc of the friendly service.

So glad this place survived after Covid. The seafood shaved noodle was solid. You get shrimp, squid and scallops. $13.95. Really? We are floored! Husband said it was exactly the same and he enjoyed it! He finished his whole plate. Impressed with the large portion!! Shrimp was huge! Instead of seafood, I asked to sub with chicken. Server said no problem! The chicken slices were super tender and juicy and the shaved noodle texture was perfection. It was a bit bland but nothing a lil' table soy can't fix. Only $11.95 for a huge platter. I was super hungry and cleaned my plate but for most, there'd be leftovers. Mapo tofu with white rice. The sauce had too much corn starch and the meat texture was not my favorite. I've had better but when you have spicy sauce over fluffy rice, it can be mediocre and still be satisfying..Would rather have this for my work lunch than Marie Callendar's any day. Pan fried pot stickers 8 pieces $7.95. Delicious. It's the thin skin kind. Classic, you can't go wrong! I can't eat fried stuff nowadays but their fried chicken wings were the best. Plump, juicy and piping hot! I am sure it's still amazing! They have lots of other menu items. On a colder day, I would go for the custom noodle soup bowls for $12.95. (Choose noodle, broth, 2 veg and 2 proteins). Duck noodle soup sounds amazing. For more topping, I think it's $2.25 per extra topping. One of the few places where most everything is below $15 per entree item and nothing above $20. I would like to try their oxtail noodle soup, sizzling beef or chicken platter, teriyaki short ribs, beef chow fun, and black bean noodle dish next time. Interior is clean with pleasant Cantonese Chinese music, free waters, and guava candy when you pay. The evergreen Asian supermarket next door has a lot of Asian grocery goodies with a Vietnamese deli inside. Durian is on sale for $4.29 a pound. Yes, you can get durian in Everett! Impressive! Worth the drive to get good Chinese then shop next door.

Unfortunately, after my experience this past Tuesday, I'm not sure I want to continue giving them my business. I always tip--usually above the suggested percentage or by selecting the preset option. This time, however, I had cash on me and planned to give the driver a cash tip. There has never been a time where I did not tip. When I placed my order, the confirmation stated that delivery would take about 45 minutes. Instead, the order arrived 40 minutes earlier than quoted--well before I was home. I would have been there within the promised timeframe, but because it was so early, my daughter accepted the order. I also always select "contactless--leave at door." The delivery driver, who has brought food to us before, knocked very hard on the door and then asked my daughter if we planned to tip. That was completely uncalled for. My daughter had no idea that I had ordered food, let alone that I intended to tip in cash. When she told the driver I wasn't home, the driver actually responded, "Oh, because you didn't tip," and then left. I was shocked. Had the order arrived at the quoted time, I would have been home to give the tip as planned. Instead, the driver ignored delivery instructions and embarrassed my daughter by demanding a tip. If management is reading this, I strongly urge you to remind your staff to follow delivery instructions and not pressure or question customers about tips--especially when the order is set to be contactless. A cash tip was ready, had it not been delivered well before the delivery time. For anyone planning to order and tip in cash: beware.

I ordered the cabbage and pork potstickers, the Dandan noodles, a beef pancake roll, the veggie, egg and shrimp potstickers, and finally the lamb with onion potstickers and one coca-cola (yes, all of this was for me, don't judge). First, the beef pancake roll was AMAZING!!! It's a super simple item, the pancake was crispy and soft, wrapped around some lettuce and flavourful beef. This is a must order. The potstickers were all fantastic. Warm, pillowy pockets full of veggies and protein. The cabbage and pork were my favourites. Finally, the Dandan noodles.
