It started with a camp few months ago and my 10 year old daughters's interest and confidence has only grown. She has progressively gotten better, found her confidence and is very active. Not only she is getting better at riding but it's teaching her responsibility for taking care of something else other than herself. The lessons include caring for the horses, safety, how to approach a horse, anatomy of a horse, how to properly put on and take off the saddles, different types of hay and more. Each lesson is different and my kids are learning something new each time. They look forward to their lessons each week and love spending time with the horses. I bring my toddler as well, and although he's too young to ride the horses, he loves walking around the ranch and saying hello to all of the animals. We love Clear Compass Equestrian so much, we brought our Girl Scout troop here. Amy put together a customized lesson for our troop based on badge requirements and the girls really enjoyed it. They learned about the two different styles of riding, English and Western, caring for the horses, they got to each brush a horse and then they learned to clean a horse stall. I really love the emphasis on safety and care, not just for the riders, but also for the horses. My children are learning so much more than just riding a horse.
