My car was in an accident and was referred to Silver Lake Collision Center by Progressive. The original location I had the vehicle towed to was in Los Angeles, and the customer service was excellent. AC and Oscar kept me updated with the process. They had to transfer my vehicle for repairs to the Pasadena location because they were at max capacity at the LA location. When my car arrived and got appraised, Steve contacted me and informed me of the process, and estimated date the vehicle would be ready. They did their best to make sure they met the expected completion date, for which I was thankful for. We didn't have any rental coverage, so we were making arrangements for our daily commute. Steve responded promptly to all my text/calls and answered all the questions I had. When I picked up the car, our dashboard light came on, and I texted/called Steve. He apologized and asked me to bring the car back so they could take a look and fix the problem. My husband took the vehicle back, they tried to reset the light, and it went away, but when he drove a few miles, it came back on. Steve ordered the parts needed and repaired them the same day. There are still genuinely nice people in the world. Big Thank You to Avo for helping to fix my daughter's car last Thursday. She was driving on the 210 Freeway and the car in front of her swerved quickly to the right and there were pieces of wood nailed together sitting in the middle of the lane. She couldn't get out of the way in time and ran over it which damaged the underside of her car. The aluminum shield was completely crushed which was still attached to her car and was scraping terribly against the road as she drove. She safely pulled of the freeway and called me. We made a few phone calls to nearby mechanics and Avo at Silver Lake Collision Center answered the call. I explained the situation and he was happy to jump in and help. He heard the tone of my voice and offered to tow her over if needed. She was only a couple blocks away so she slowly drove it over to the shop. He asked his guys to stop what there were working on to help her out and luckily they had the part and got her back on the road in 30 minutes and gave her a really fair deal. These guys are the best! SERVICE ABOVE AND BEYOND! 2015 Porsche Boxster I took my new vehicle here upon recommendation and boy did they not disappoint. Tony and the team was absolutely outstanding. A pipe broke in our apartment's garage in Pasadena...hard water, rust, etc. dripped all over the new boxster. Whatever was in the water damaged through the paint on the hood, bumper, and also windshield. I took the vehicle to State Farm for an initial estimate of $1,500 for damages...Tony took the car in and had an adjuster come to the shop to approve supplement...the total bill ended up being almost $5,500 (of course I only had to pay my deductible)! State Farm had no issues accepting Tony's assessment of the repairs needed. Tony ordered a new windshield direct from the Porsche dealership, bumper, re-did the paint. Without Tony's excellent service, who know what would have happened/the lack of repairs would have been made to my car. Now it's as good as new. I truly appreciate Tony and the team. I've taken four of my cars here throughout the years: 2000 - I had a 1991 Orly Blue VW Vanagon Carat. On the way home from a camping trip another van towing a boat rear ended me. I took my Vanagon SLCC when they were located in Silverlake and they fix my Vanagon by replacing the damaged parts with new sheet metal. Along with the repairs, I had them repaint the van from Orly Blue to Tornado Red. I was very happy. 2002 - I had a 2000 Tornado Red VW Eurovan. On the way home from work I rear ended a Mercedes who made a sudden, unexpected stop. I took the Eurovan to SLCC when located in Silverlake. They replaced my from bumper, grill and other damaged parts and made my Eurovan look like new again. I once again was pleased with the work. 2014 - I took another van of mine to SLCC now located in Pasadena to have the color completely changed. SLCC did a beautiful job changing the color of my 1991 Bordeaux VW Vanagon Carat to Tornado Red. The first time around there were a few minor things that needed to be fine tuned with the paint job, I took it back and Tony (the kindest guy to deal with) had the minor areas of concern addressed to my satisfaction within a few days. 2015 - I took, yet again another of my cars to Tony at SLCC. I took my 2010 White-Gold VW Passat 2.0T to have a deep scratch across the front hood to get repaired. Tony had my Passat returned back to me within about a week looking like new again. I've referred a close friend of mine to SLCC who took her 1990 Mercedes E320 wagon to get some body work done. My friend was/is very pleased with the results. I'll be referring my brother to get his 1987 Range Rover to SLCC as well to get some minor body work completed. I like SLCC's location in Pasadena a lot better than their prior location in Silverlake. It new facility is easy to get to, parking is much better. Abraham Mitilian, my regular mechanic, did maintenance on my Prius and determined the extent of the damage I suffered on my front and rear bumper required an auto body repair. He recommended that I go to Silver Lake Collision and talk to Tony, just down the street from him. I told Tony that I wanted to leave the car for one day, instead of the 3 days he said he'd need. He suggested that if I prepaid for all the estimated repairs, then he'd order the bumpers and paint them in advance so that I could bring my car in and have everything installed in 1/2 a day. My Prius was in a fender bender with a F150 truck. They rear-ended me and it was a straight forward no-fault case because I have a F750 Thinkware road camera recording both directions. The Geico estimator looked at the twisted hatch, popped bumper, and dented hatch side panel and suggested it should be a cheap and simple fix, suggesting I use their local dealer in Santa Clarita. I had previously had some work done by them and the quality was fair to middling. I decided to come to Silver Lake Collision because of how well they fixed my wife's car a few years ago. Tony took great care of my car. He looked it over and did an exterior assessment. When I pointed out the twisted hatch, he suggested that he'd have the guys take it and the bumper off to check all internal parts. Tony showed great care explaining to me how the hidden damage process would work. He took many photos over the course of the fix to let me know what was damaged and how. He made sure to share these with Geico as proof of damage and had the estimator come out twice to verify his findings before doing fixes I might end up paying for if Geico wasn't able to verify. He showed a lot of concern with making sure the car would be as good as new. When all was said and done, the car is in perfect pre-crunched condition. They had to replace the bumper, dented side panel, and the rear hood had to be replaced because the sheet metal was bent beyond tolerance to just "bend back". They even went to the trouble of making sure my rear tint window was transferred to the new hood along with my carefully installed rear Thinkware road camera. I felt like I was getting my car back brand new. Tony was very easy to talk to and compassionate about what my car and I were dealing with. It felt more like having an Uncle fix my car than just being a client. Car accidents are never fun, but it's nice knowing there is a trustworthy place in town I can go to if I ever have the mishap of a lifted truck trying to roll over my car again. read more
