My first interaction with Silver Lake was a phone call with Denise. I do not know her correct title but i am going to guess she runs the practice. I waited until my second visit to write my review for Dr. Weckesser. Throughout my life, I have run into a number of poor doctors, and after my uncle retired from being my dentist, a few poor dentists too. I am honestly so happy to have found Silver Lake Dental and Dr. Weckesser. He is a normal guy who is professional, yet not super formal where you feel like you can't chat. So far, I've had a cleaning, an exam, a chip tooth fixed, and a filling, and I am certain I have found my dental practice for years to come. He is thorough and sharp, and I made sure my husband, who is also in the market for a new dentist, was set up with him ASAP. My parents will be going there shortly, too. The front desk is pleasant and easy to talk to, and I see a genuine attempt to be as transparent as possible about costs, while also taking into account the unpredictability of insurance companies. Today, Dr. Weckesser also informed me of a way to schedule my remaining fillings in order to maximize my insurance and minimize out-of-pocket costs. Care for the patient, not the wallet, first. I love it! As a side note, the office is clean, modern, and updated. The two techs I have encountered have been wonderful as well. The place is an anomaly in the jaded world of healthcare. Kudos to them, really. This is the type of place where, if you moved 45 minutes away, you'd still want to come back here. I highly recommend this practice. read more

I can't recommend Silver Lake Dental enough. This past month I had to have two cracked teeth worked on. One had to be extracted and one needed a crown. It was seemless and pain free. Even when numbing I usually felt pinching or burning in the past but Dr Weckesser is the best & I felt nothing. Also, I usually feel like I have a hard time breathing due to saliva build up, but my dental technician Katlyn kept me breathing & saliva free! My cleanings have been plesant as well with Korin. I usually dread the dentist and I have found my worries unwarranted lately. I'm now stress free about going to the dentist. I can't say enough good things about Silver Lake Dental. The office is warm and welcoming. Front desk staff are very friendly and professional. The hygienist did a great job on my cleaning. As soon as I came in for my cleaning, she started chatting and put me right at ease. Also, I'm quite sure that's the most thorough dental exam I've ever had. Dr. Andre was fabulous and very easy to talk to. He explained everything he was doing, patiently walked me through my dental x-rays, and gave me some solid advice for taking care of my teeth. Another thing I liked -- Their x-rays are digital, so the machine emits far less radiation than the older models. In short, I highly recommend this place! 5 stars! :-) read more

Before I met Dr. Gregory Andre, I had a hate-hate relationship with my dentist. Make that dentists. For a while I would switch dentists primarily because I couldn't find one I trusted enough to go back to. There was either a lack or empathy or a lack of expertise or both. Then I found Dr. Andre. He used to work in a bigger practice until he went out on his own a few years back. I followed him (literally tracking him down after he left that other practice - they wouldn't give me his new contact information!) all the way to Wilmington, MA. Wilmington isn't too far; it's right up 93 N, maybe a 25-30 minute ride from Boston. Dr. Andre is affable, professional and really likes cutting edge dentistry. He's a perfectionist and he's diligent. He's really good at what he does and seems to enjoy his job and interacting with his patients - I never ever feel rushed or that he has no time to answer my questions. Best of all, I never feel any pain when I see him. I am terrified of needles, and I have never even felt the needle go in on the occasions where Novocaine has been necessary. Highly recommended. Worth the drive if you're looking for an awesome dentist. read more

I HATE getting my teeth cleaned so I was incredibly nervous to finally go after not going in over two years. I chose SLD because it is super close to my home and I received a few recommendations. The office is clean and spacious. All staff I interacted with were Incredibly friendly and helpful. Xrays took a while since it was a comprehensive first visit but Brittany was easy to talk to and was just very kind. Then I met Dr. Weckesser to have him assess my whole mouth. He was very thorough, friendly and even kind of fun. I'm a jokester and he played along! Robin cleaned my teeth and I warned her that I was a huge baby. She was not phased and ensured me that all would be OK. First I was given a cool pair of shades to wear to block out the bright lights - very cool! ;) Then I got to choose what I wanted to watch...or more like listen to during the cleaning. Lastly, she applied this liquid gold to my mouth that made me the most comfortably number ever. I could barely feel a thing. My teeth are super sensitive and even the sound of the scraping makes my skin crawl but Robin was so gentle - I just relaxed and listen to Michael and Dwight banter on. What I really appreciated was the compassion at the front desk. I don't recall her name but the receptionist really wanted to make sure that all my insurance stuff was squared away and that I was prepared about any and all costs that could come my way for future visits (dang cavities). It's great to feel like you have folks going above and beyond the basic call of duty to provide the best service! Very nice staff. Clean, modern office. Plenty of parking and flexible appointments. I just had my first experience with this office and if this quality of care continues, I'll be a patient for life. I haven't had the best experiences with dental care in the past, so to have a cleaning and examination, free of pain and aggravation, was a breath of fresh air. Everyone was very polite, no one talked down to me or tried to get me to do something I wasn't comfortable with (i.e., You should keep your wisdom teeth, if they aren't causing you any discomfort, leave them alone! What a novel idea!). I have to have a filling next month (boo), but I don't expect it to be a horrible experience. I find myself not dreading my next visit and that in itself is a 5 star experience. read more

What a nice group of people!!! Left my previous dentist as he was a little arrogant and condescending (after having been with them for over 15 years). Everyone here was welcoming and knew their stuff . Although you would expect that, they were very forthcoming with that knowledge and happy to share. It was refreshing!! If I could give more stars I would.. Dr. Andre and his staff have gone above and beyond to make the dental experience a pleasant one. I originally came to Silver Lake Dental for a second opinion and unlike the first opinion I got Dr. Andre assured me my root canal was ok and did not need to have it completely redone like the other dentist advised! I have complete trust and respect for Dr. Andre as he has never tried to talk me into any costly procedures and is always sensitive to insurance coverage and out of pocket cost. I have a passionate fear of the dentist - however, when I was having a for-real dental emergency over the weekend, I realized that I had to go see one. I called Silver Lake Dental at 6am, and was very surprised to receive a phone call immediately from Dr. Andre himself. He told me that he would fit me in as soon as the office opened, and to call back. I called right when the office opened, and surprisingly, the desk staff knew me by first name and told me to come right in. I had virtually no wait, which was great on a busy Monday, and Dr. Andre explained what was going on with my tooth, and my options to fix it. He said that regardless of what I decided to do, that I would leave his office pain-free. He was right. He did part 1 of an emergency root canal right then and there, and I felt no discomfort whatsoever. He also explained my payment options, had his staff check in on me every few minutes when I was there, and he himself even called me that evening to see how I was feeling. The desk staff is outstanding, as are the hygienists. For the first time in my life, I have no fear about going back next week for the rest of my procedure. Before I got my first appointment in Silver Lake dental, I've never thought I would enjoy going to the dentist. The place is clean and bright, the staff is very supportive. Beyond impressed with Silver Lake Dental! I came in as a new patient after multiple issues with old veneers that I had done in my 20's. Dr. Weckesser temporized my old veneer and over the course of a few appointments, he removed my 6 existing veneers and placed new ones. I could not be happier!
