Called couple guys from Lowe's and Home Depot and was shocked at how much it would cost to repair, they won't help talk to my insurance company. Then I stumbled into Nebiye L. Legesse from Seagon. I don't exactly remember how, but thank god he was there. He oversaw the entire repair process, from planning, help negotiating with the insurance, monitoring the process and making sure everything is fixed at the end. Everything is spot-on. If it wasn't for Nebiye L. Legesse, I am pretty sure I would still have to deal with the repair long after I moved. I have moved around the country a few times and have dealt with home builders and contractors for new home builds and general works around the house. Nebiye L. Legesse from Seagon has been the best I have encountered. I am very grateful with his service and would recommend him for anyone. He will definitely be my first choice if I ever moved back to WA for any work.

Seagon made attempts to cut corners, and not do a diligent , logical , correct, thoughtful and thorough work . Even after I paid a premium amount, quality workmanship and the attention to details were subpar. I paid $7500 for Seagon's work, and have attached the pictures of sloppy the paint work done by the rookie painter Nebiye and the unfinished work. Please stay clear of this contractor (Contractor #SEAGOCL950QN ) .

I liked the detailed quote and went into it knowing that the business was new with very little history (thus risky), but I wanted to give a young guy starting out a chance. I said the same to him & declined to pay my deposit by Zelle when he suggested it. (Payment by Zelle is the same as cash, not recoverable.) This was a red flag that I should not have ignored. He quickly clarified that he meant Square & I told him explicitly that I would only pay by credit card in case things didn't work out and I needed to claw my money back. We mutually agreed upon a start date (Wed Dec 7), and he didn't show up. At the end of the day, he sent me a text explaining why he didn't come, but promised to show up first thing in the morning. Equipment was dropped on my lawn, but he didn't start work that day (Thurs) or the next (Fri). He did not contact me, either. I reached out over the weekend to let him know that I replaced the tarp over his equipment, which was exposed during a windstorm. He told me at that time that he would start on Monday. He did not show up or contact me on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. On Thurs Dec 14 I reached out to him again and asked what was going on. He explained that a loved one was in the hospital. At that point, I determined that he was unreliable and was likely to continue that way. I told him that I didn't want to move forward with him and asked for my money back. He said that he had already purchased the materials, and I offered to subtract the cost of materials from the refund, provided that he dropped of the materials and receipts. He was quick to bring the materials, but did not bring receipts. He promised to provide them later that day. I never heard from him again, despite reaching out to him multiple times by text and phone. I have filed a complaint with BBB and my credit card company, thus far I have not recovered any of my money. I hired a more experienced contractor after this, who took a look at the materials in my garage and said that he couldn't use most of the materials; most of the lumber was the wrong size (too small, not up to code), the cement wasn't needed (overkill, not required by code), and the fasteners were specific to the lumber size & couldn't be used. I do not recommend doing business with Alpha-Pac NW; rather I would warn you to stay away.

The company, Priorities First, was recommended by a real estate broker as the end-all organizer, I found quite the opposite. I engaged Priorities First about three weeks before I needed actual staging to assist me in organizing residential and business belongings so that my condo could be painted, a job that was to take two-three weeks. Two work days were to be spent clearing non-essential items out of the space with movers coming on the third morning to take these items to storage. The company owner and two workers appeared on the appointed day. Only one of the workers did organizing, and I must say that the organizer worker was quite good. Of the three people, she was the only one who asked for my input and listened to my response. The other worker began the staging process immediately (at the direction of her boss), which was totally stupid since the condo was going to be painted--and I was going to be living there--for several more weeks. Not only did this arranger worker spend time (and my hard-earned money) doing something that the painter was going to undo, but she was totally unskilled at arranging space. When I kept objecting to the mess she was making of my beautiful condo, she kept saying, "design is a matter of personal taste." This explanation drove me up the wall as I am an architect and know that design is a learned skill. What she was doing--including making displays of rolls of toilet paper and cheap wine bottles while having me pack lovely decorative items, which she referred to as "beauties"--was dreadful by any objective measure. In addition, this arranger worker spent time (and my hard-earned money) arranging my plants, which I told her I intended to downsize and repot. Another total waste. However, it was when this worker ran out of stuff to arrange that she did the real damage by switching to the organizing task. I had a large closet with hardware and art supplies neatly organized in two different sections of shelving. Arranger-turned-organizer worker indiscriminately crunched all my supplies together, putting rusty nails and screws on a single shelf with expensive gouaches, paint brushes, and light bulbs, etc. It took me six hours to sort through the mess she made. However, the real annoyance was the company owner, whose name I have wiped from my memory. The reason her service was so inappropriate is that she was absolutely incapable of listening. Every time I tried to explain what I needed--what would work for me--she would cut me off with "moving is hard." So impatient and unbelievably rude. I had contracted for Priorities First to come back after the painting was completed and do the final staging, but of course I cancelled. From the messing around the arranger-turned-organizer worker did, I picked up what had to be done and did the staging myself. BTW, the real estate agent complimented my on my work! I paid close to $5,000 for 2.5 days of service. Because the service was so poor, I sent the crew packing early on the second day, so it was more like 2 days. I have only shared the worst of what happened because the story would be too long if I relayed everything that went wrong. Suffice it to say that I should have just opened my window, and thrown one hundred dollar bills to the wind.
