Really enjoyed our stay at this excellent property. Check in was quick and easy, and service was very friendly. The property is well-maintained and the room was super clean. You can park right in front of the room, making loading and unloading a breeze. Walking distance to eateries.

The Silver Maple is definitely the silver lining in Bridgeport. Its old school charm is warm. Its beautifully landscaped grounds inviting. Their rooms are, well, cozy. All 169 square feet of mine. They make good use of this impeccably clean space though. Everything has its place, and everything is in it. As noted on the website, this Inn was built back in the 30s. We as a population must have been on the slighter side in that decade. Coming out of those depression years, our parents, and grandparents had to make do with the minimum. During your stay, you may have to do the same. Space-wise anyway. It was fine for me. Not so small in stature I am. You'll be ok. The landscape is lush. Make good use of it. Unwind on a lounge chair, or picnic on one of their tables. There's ample shade for doing both. But don't use it as one young tourist from Italy did. More on that later. Your hosts are very friendly and can answer any of your local inquiries. They're proud of their slice of heaven, however small it may be. The chiming of the bells on the historic courthouse next door will only enhance your memorable stay. Quick Tip: You may want to consider packing some earplugs, for you never know when they may be needed. Not necessarily for noise at this quiet hamlet, but for the unforseen. During my stay, the town of Bridgeport had a complete electrical black out. It went on into the wee hours of the morning. Naturally, the heat of the day warmed up the rooms to the extent that the windows needed to be kept open. And here's where our friend the Italian tourist comes into play. It seems he and his friends were enjoying what nightlife Bridgeport had to offer, black out not withstanding. They must have imbibed to the extent, where our friend couldn't handle the altitude, mixed with whatever libations that were being passed around. Through that evening he took full advantage of the lush verdant vegetation, to dispose of what was taken in during the previous hours. In other words, he puked his guts out. In so doing, serenading us, reminiscent of younger days. Now that is what what I call, unforseen!! Arrivederci amici miei !

Seriously loved our stay at the Silver Maple Inn. We've been visiting the Eastern Sierras since 2016, and always stop or stay in Birdgeport. It's been part of our journey. We've always noticed this quaint motel, and finally booked two nights here. We stayed for my birthday, what a treat. Very relaxing town, felt safe the whole time. We sat outside on one of the tables, and played board games, and ate food. There is an owl family that flies around at night, really cool to watch them. The motel has the most beautiful grass area. I noticed while I was in the registration office, they have been featured in the Sunset magazine. Kudos. Bridgeport tips: Make sure you have enough of what you need. Bridgeport closes down early and some places are open only certain days. The rooms have a small fridge inside. There is a microwave and ice machine area, we used that a lot to make hot water for tea.

Booked a "King" room, and paid $140 before 12% tax. Room was smaller than the modern equivalents in the big city. But, the room was very comfortable and had modern upgrades. A shower that featured granite sides and accommodated my 6'4" height, DirecTV. great heating, a very comfortable firm bed, and a check in that rivaled few both here and in Europe. The check in was easy and pleasant. If you are adventuring in or near Bridgeport, CA, then stay here or in the old house that is also used for breakfasts (nothing special, but it'll get you through to lunch). Enjoy!

such a lovely, quaint Inn! we felt so welcomed, comfortable + safe from the moment we booked our room till the time we drove off. Roxanne is amazing + made our stay wonderful. this trip was last minute + we intend to make our next stay at Silver Maple Inn much longer :) the location is central to shops, restaurants, cafes + scenic sites; the garden / grounds are pretty + our room was clean + comfortable. we could hear the next door guests talking loudly late at night though. a good breakfast was also included in our booking!

When it comes to hotels I am PICKY. My hotels have to be clean. I don't even like discolored caulking in the bathrooms. Upon arrival this criteria was met. I was very happy. I'm a brand name hotel kind of guy. I know I have recourses if things aren't what I want and honestly the chances of my criteria being met are better. I met Roxanne at the front desk and she was as nice and accommodating as could be. She also knows everything there is to know in this town. I like that. There's a nice grass area in the middle of the grounds that is cute, large and well kept. The breakfast is free and very adequate. They have hot cereal, cold cereal, muffins, toast and fruit. I would absolutely stay here again.

We were staying up the road and walked down to check out the fish hatchery. After reading about the program we decided we needed to bring our kids to see it. After watching these massive trout swim around for awhile they read that they could feed the fish if they went inside and asked for Jimmy, and I've never seen them move so fast. The nice woman at the host stand hooked them up with food and told them Jimmy was throwing pizzas, but he'd come out to say hi. As it turns out, Jimmy is the owner of the property, the chef, and the hatchery manager too! His passion is infections and it's so obvious he loves this place so much. We enjoyed learning about the property, hatchery and fishery from him, and the kids felt like they'd made a friend for life. There's a restaurant here too and a little play area in the back of the restaurant, making this a great roadside stop. They also have fun accommodations including cabins, covered wagons, and others, all situated with a nice break from the highway. We came back with our younger son and he loved it as much as the older two kids! That visit we enjoyed the restaurant, which I'll review separately.

The quaint, cabin-style setting felt cozy and intimate, and I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and well-prepared everything was for my stay. I stayed in a studio-style cabin with a separate room featuring bunk beds, plus a restroom and shower equipped with heating and AC. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, and the cabin stayed warm even when it was 30 degrees outside. If that doesn't charm you enough, just step outside and take in the picturesque rolling mountains--covered in snow this time of year--and appreciate the character and care the owner has put into the property. Customer service was excellent: quick, friendly, and hassle-free. They even gave us supplies to make s'mores, which we enjoyed by our private outdoor fire pit. Overall, this place exceeded my expectations, and I'd love to come back in the spring and summer to enjoy it all over again.

Motel money spent wisely. At least for my purposes. I got a basic room at this old school motel,…read moreand basic is what I got. But I was surprised at the level of basic. There was a bed, of course, but it wasn't one of those lumpy speed bump mattresses. It was actually very comfortable. I slept quite well during my two night stay. The TV mounted on the wall was small, but it had Directv. I have that at home, so I was familiar with what buttons to push. Only issue was that you couldn't have the door open when watching, as it covered half the TV. I guess that's OK. I should only be watching half as much TV anyway. My room, #22, was very clean. The toilet was sanitized for my protection. The paper seal on the seat assured me of that. I found the seal after having a few beers. I guess that's what it means when you "have to break the seal"! The rest of the room was just fine. The air conditioner worked and it didn't make much noise. I did have an issue with the blinds. For the life of me, I couldn't get the last panel to close properly. It left a space wide enough for stray eyes to look in. A mirror reflected the sight line onto the bed. Which wouldn't be all that bad, but, well, let's just say that because of the way I sleep, it wouldn't be a pretty sight. I hung a towel to mind the gap. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. Quick Tip: Every room has magnetic screens to keep our flying friends out. However, those little buggers are fast and will follow you in. Fortunately, your room comes equipped with a manual insect removal system.

He…read moresingle-handedly saved what could have been a disastrous trip with his calm demeanor, experience, and generous spirit. Having stayed at a few RV resorts now, I have four criteria that add up to a five star experience: Service, Amenities, Cleanliness, and Community Vibes. Willow Springs scores 5/5 on service, cleanliness, and community vibes. The property sits just off HWY 395 with the majority of the sites situated towards the back of the property, beautifully surrounded by the hills. The property and all sites are pristine with small bits of shade provided by adjacent cottonwoods and evergreens, and during our stay we enjoyed a steady breeze that made the temps quite enjoyable. Each night the host creates a community campfire that burns hot and long, bringing everyone together. They provide the wood and Michael tends to it, and they even have the large sticks for roasting marshmallows too. Connecting with people from all over around the fire was the highlight for me! Amenity wise, they have two nice gas grills with a nice picnic area, a large DVD library, basketball hoop and concrete pad to play on. There's also supposed to be stocked trout pond, but it was dry on our visit due to a missing pump that's supposed to be fixed soon. Recreationally that's about it. There aren't any hiking trails accessible from the property nor anything walking distance, that basketball area is located right next to the highway, and the lot is gravel so not ideal for bikes, which is why as family travelers, I'll say the property tries, but this isn't the most ideal. That said we still had fun. I'd recommend this as a great basecamp in the Bridgeport/Twin Lakes area!
