I stopped in to grab some cookies for my family before I concluded my visit. I think this was my first time having Insomnia Cookies outside of New York. While they originated in Philly, they are literally all over NYC and are dangerous when a sweet tooth hits on a late night. I was surprised when I walked into this Columbia, SC location to see how spacious it was and there was actually no one waiting. We waited a few for the young lady to finish what she was doing in the back and realize we were there. They have two sizes of cookies and variety from snickerdoodle to s'mores to peanut butter cup. They also have ice cream. I think you can make a nice ice cream sandwich cookie, but I didn't stay in the shop long enough to discover all they have to offer. I got a triple chocolate chunk deluxe cookie (the larger size). They keep their cookies in a warm oven, so they stay warm and gooey. I started to eat my cookie as soon as I left the shop. It was good, but I wasn't amazed. I saved some of my cookie to eat later and I actually liked it better after it cooled.
