We were excited to find a custom quality leather shop. I had called a few places in the area but others weren't interested in what I needed. The young gentleman was very helpful and understood what and why I needed 2 custom 6 ft leashes in a wide leather with special rings. I was so happy, but then I was hesitant to ask if he could do them in a week because we would be moving on. Again, I was so happy! He made the best leashes I've every seen. They are absolutely perfect and the leather is so comfortable in my hands. Very reasonably priced. I couldn't be happier! read more

I took it to Silver Star Leather who fixed it at no cost. Later I bought 3 belts from one of their local retailers. Since purchasing, I lost 50 pounds. My husband and I were visiting the Shipshewana area in the summer of 2018. We always like to find true local shops and not one's aimed at tourists. We were told about this place by some locals so we decided to stop and check it out. We are so glad that we made the trip to find it. We purchased several leather goods and the owner even custom made me a coin bag while we waited. The workmanship and quality of the leather is outstanding. Enjoyed our drive to his workshop. He had a good selection of belts, quite a few of them were for larger men. He had blank belts where he could add the holes and cutoff the leftover. For a semi custom belt starting at $35 it a good deal. He carries wallets too. This nice young man knows his leather. When we come back we will drop by. read more
