I called Silverado to repair the mixer valve in my shower. I don't think the tech even checked to see if it could be fixed...he just said that he would have to go and get a new part and come back. After the repair, I was told to check and see if everything was all right. I discovered there was hot water again, and in my excitement, failed to see if it was hot enough, and the tech left. To get the water up to the temperature I wanted, I had to have another tech come to fix it and was charged another high service call. Won't use Silverado again! read more

At 7:30 on the Sunday night before a holiday, we discovered our sewer line was plugged. Our regular plumber was closed for the holiday weekend. We called Silverado and despite the late hour on a Sunday, a tech arrived at our house in 60 minutes. He worked to clear the line for two hours, but he wasn't able to solve a mystery of our house's sewer lines. With the hour growing late, we agreed that Silverado would return the next day to try again. The next morning--the holiday--a second tech arrived earlier than promised. With the help of daylight, we were able to solve the mystery. Our sewer line was clear soon after. We expected to pay a premium for Sunday-holiday service. While Silverado added a supplemental charge, it was more modest that we thought it would be. Given how responsive the company was, the extra change was more than fair. We recommend Silverado highly and will call them from now on for any plumbing issue, emergency or not. read more

We phoned to get someone out to look at replacing our outside spigots that were old and leaking and they sent someone right away for an estimate. Rodney was very professional and thorough. We were provided a quote by the end of the day. They were punctual and came when they said they would. We were able to schedule the work in the next day or two for replacement. Having just recently moved back to Tucson from Lake Havasu City, we moved back into my house that had not been very well taken of by the tenants. There were some indoor plumbing issues that the Property Management Company sent Silverado Rooter & Plumbing to tackle. Being that I was half-worn from the move, unpacking, cleaning, and fixing all of the little things in the house that I could in between working I did not pay much attention to the quality work performed by the plumber on behalf of the Property Managers. I was just happy not to have leaky valves in the main bedroom's bathroom tub. Good stuff. However, when the Tucson Water meter reader came by to tell me we had a massive leak that we troubleshot to being between the meter and my house's main shutoff, things got heightened. The situation got a little more drastic than my piddling plumbing problems of yesterday. I called American Leak Detection, whose technician narrowed the leak down to underneath my patio slab...wonderful. I contacted some of the plumbers that he had recommended, but they were all booked or didn't respond. This was serious situation where I was turning on the water to shower, then turning it off because the piping was leaking at a rate of 200+ gallons per hour according to Tucson Water's report. Remembering Silverado's quality work, and seeing their 5 star rating on Yelp I called, and, people, I am glad I did. Silverado's office staff saw my number and address and recollected the previous work just performed days before. Plumber Jack came out the next day, took a look at the situation, answered all of my questions expertly, gave me a ballpark estimate which was fairly accurate, then went back to the office to write up an accurate estimate. But before leaving he assured me that his goal was to provide quality work at a fair price. Jack assured me that his intent is never to charge more than necessary to get the work done because he wouldn't feel good doing so. That statement alone gave me confidence and helped cement my future business/customer relationship with Silverado. When the estimate came the next day I was satisfied, so I called the office and explained the situation. The office staff (Joni and Ashley rock!) put us on the schedule for the following Tuesday. Okay, I guess I could keep turning on and shutting off the main valve as needed. After hearing about my daily difficulties, the staff member said she could see if she could get me scheduled sooner. Okay, let's see what happens. Ten minutes later, voila, she slotted our house for the next day! I was grateful that she cared about the situation and did something positive about it. That's superior customer service right there. The next day at 9AM or so, Jack, and his apprentice, Rafael, pulled up to the back alley gate and promptly got to work. Watching Jack build upon what we knew about the peculiarities of my plumbing system and adapt to the situation as his understanding of it changed was interesting. He cut the concrete, jackhammered the resultant rectangle slab and pulled it away. I watch as he and his apprentice clear the fill dirt to find the leaky pipe. It was like watching Indiana Jones dig up some artifact. But it turned out not to be so great. The pipe turned out to be galvanized and obviously decrepit, so the plan had to change. It was decided to bypass the water softener galvanized pipe-loop and run PEX pipe straight to the house from the water meter. Jack assured me that this could be done within the parameters of the current estimate. I was thrilled. Long story short, those two fellows worked diligently with quality in mind every step of the way. Jack and his apprentice replaced the old main shut-off, gate-type valve with a more modern ball valve, replaced the shut-off at the meter as it was leaking profusely, repaired the concrete from the finding of the source of the leak, and cleaned up so that I didn't know they had even been there. I found Jack's expertise and hard work (and Rafael's hard work and dedication) to be inspirational. Jack and I discussed the possibility of a future work to add water softener connections next to the main shut-off valve and how it would be no problem. It was refreshing to get the straight story about the whole process and each step along the way without being price gouged as the situation evolved. I would highly recommend Silverado Rooter and Plumbing to anybody looking for quality work at a fair price. I will be using them for all of my plumbing needs. read more

Another plumber, recommended by my home warranty service, came in and said he didn't know what was wrong and recommended pulling up the floor to diagnose it. I have used Silverado for a number of jobs and have consistently found the quality of their work to be excellent, good value and courteous. They just finished a job for me today involving a very difficult and complicated removal and installation of a hot water heater. The biggest problem was the space was so tight that it required Tom, the lead of the crew, to actually crawl into the space to effect the installation of the new one, and it took two others of the crew, and about 25 minutes to get him out! Our laundry room was flooding as I was heading out the door for a physical therapy appointment. The hose connected to the hot water was spewing water and I could not find the shut off valves. In my panic, I called Silverado and was told that a plumber would be there within a couple of hours. Because I didn't know when I would be home, I gave them the garage code and warned about watching for the pets. The people at the company, from the dispatcher to the accounting department, went out of their way to make it work. The plumber called as I was finishing my appointment to let me know that he was on his way. In 40 years of home ownership, this is one of the top 5 service calls I've had the pleasure to receive. It's always difficult, and worrisome, trying to contract someone during the holiday season. Demand doesn't change, but the pricing does and the amount of companies to choose from dwindles greatly further adding to this. When our kitchen sink ended up turning into a geyser, we tried to solve the issue ourselves because of this. Sadly, after several hours we scratched the self repair job and tried to contact various plumbers. From people not contacting us back, to those not being available, we were rather desperate to find anyone. I will openly admit that Silverado was just the next in line on that list. After today? They're our go-to. It started basic enough. Offering information, having a tech get back to us and then scheduling from there. Standard stuff, but it was appreciated just how professional I was treated and how quickly a last minute appointment was scheduled on Labor Day. Jack Manning was the gentleman that had kept us up to date on his arrival time, and despite the long distance required to our place from where he was (about an hour) there was never a shift in tone or professionalism. but when he arrived? That's why I'm offering this rating. Well mannered and friendly, he made the entire experience great. While the problem was unable to be fixed, he was able to solve our other issue and allow us to turn our water back on without the geyser in the kitchen. Here's the kicker, despite spending a good chunk of time driving out and then labor he didn't charge us a cent since he was unable to fix the problem. Seriously, where's the hidden cameras? This is just too good to be true. Running a business requires certain fees at the end of the day, but very few will go so far beyond. Jack didn't have to do any of this, but he did. It speaks volumes to just what kind of company Silverado is, and that's something I can relate to greatly as someone that does freelance work. Woke yesterday to a leak flowing merrily from under our RV. Called Silverado after turning off water. Their plumber Jeremy was there within the hour, assessed the problem, explained it to us and started right in. He worked efficiently and quickly, but kept us informed of each thing he did. When he was finished with the leak I impulsively asked him to make a different plumbing repair. He did so right then. I think Jeremy and Silverado are wonderful and will not hesitate to do business with them whenever plumbing issues raise their ugly heads. I received a call from Matt and he resolved my issue, he was very professional and understanding of my frustration. This was not an issue about the work preformed it was about the office personnel. Thank you Matt!! I have used this company numerous times over the last few years. at the end of last year I had a new sewer line installed from my house to the street. After numerous rains this year the dirt from excavation sank because the dirt was not compacted properly. I called for them to come and repair. I was told it was my dirt or something, so I would need to pay for dirt and labor. I said sure. the plumber and helper were at my house at 9:01 am and it took an hour and the job was complete. I paid $309. which I thought was a bit high but I figured I would look at the invoice. when I didn't receive an invoice I called and requested it be emailed. I noticed the plumber charge was for one hour but the helper was for two hours. I called to speak with someone re: the invoice was told they were at my house for two hours, per a gps tracker on their vehicle. I told the lady I was sure it was just an hour. Then she proceeded to tell how I was not even charged the full residential rate. My dispute is the two hours. After getting angry I hung up. I remembered I emailed my daughter right after and told her what I paid. I emailed her at 10:03 am. I called back to speak with the lady they said she was out. I left a message I wanted to speak with someone about this dispute her or management. I called again. still no return call. I am upset because I have been a good customer yet this is how I am treated. this will be the last time I use this company. I am upset because I am sure if the plumber was asked he would be honest, maybe it was a typo, yet I was treated by this women like was lying. I cant believe the management can't find the time to return my call and look into this. Very Frustrated. read more

Two guys came over to my house to clear a kitchen drain. They didn't even bring a bucket to catch the disgusting water backed up water in my drain. They took the pipes off and let all the sewage and grease spill all over my kitchen floor for me to spend about 1.5 hours cleaning up. We have an old house with old plumbing. After several tries with other companies, we found Silverado and haven't looked back. Silverado has repiped half our home, replaced our water heater, replaced a sink, and has rootered and videoed our problematic sewer lines. Unlike experiences we had with other companies, their prices and recommendations are sensible and logical, and do not appear to be driven by commission. I sincerely hope that their recent ownership change does not mean a change to this practice, because we are so happy to finally have found "our plumber". All of the plumbers who have been to our home have been polite, friendly, and helpful. Pretty competitively priced based on my research, and were able to come look at and replace my water heater relatively quickly. My only critique is that they left a bunch of parts from the old heater laying around, and I can see the path they took out because of the trail of white sediment from inside the old heater all over the yard. Nothing big, and to be completely fair I've never in my life once flushed my water heater. read more

I helped my parents find Silverado over the weekend when their drains starting getting backed up. My Dad just finished a week long stint in the hospital after emergency surgery, and having a working toilet/shower is pretty important. Someone came out on Saturday (10/21/17) within an hour of calling and did his best to unclog the drain. Today (Tuesday, 10/24) the clog is back and nothing is draining. When called, the dispatcher was very unhelpful and said no one could come out for at least 48 hours. Call Silverado if you want half a job done and no accountability taken. The sewer backed up when we got to our house after being away for awhile. We were running the washer, dishwasher, flushing toilets, etc. We heard a big bubbly noise and here came the water backing up. First, we called Old Pueblo....they are for septic. The recommended Silverado. A nice man named Gilbert came out at 6pm on a Sunday and got the line cleared. Thank you Gilbert! Unfortunately, it started backing up again the next day. Silverado came out again and a nice guy named Nick came out to snake it again. He cleared an obstruction at 100 feet. Silverado stuck with it until they got the job done.
