This theater looked a little rough on the outside, but had a nice time during the movie. I like the shaking seats that are in sync with the movie and move on queue. These were especially cool during the plane scene in the most recent Indiana Jones movie. read more

Over $100 spent for family of 4, popcorn was burnt and all kernals, and when complained individual said "you can line up again, and ask the stand employee will replace, but no guarantee" and this was after movie started so not going to line up again, less than helpful. You have rude people who don't have common sense using phone during movie, taking videos, etc. i don't know what happened to Brampton but this is ridiculous and I won't be going here anymore. Brampton's largest theatre and what you'd expect from a Silvercity. It has the AVX and D-Box screens. So, if you're happy to spend nearly $20 per ticket, you can have a premium experience. It has a few food options - I believe a BK, Pizza Pizza and an ice cream vendor (forget the name). It does have the pop stations where you have about 100 choices to choose from. That said, I'm not really a fan as you can expect to wait 5 more minutes (after you've already been at the concession) just to fill your drink. I hope the cherry syrup is worth the wait! Not much else to say, though they do also seem to have at least 3 Indian movies featured if that's your thing too. Good on them for recognizing that market. Very high chance of sold out shows at this location, so plan to be quite early if it's a relatively new blockbuster. read more

I was there sat Jan 28, 2023 and the men's washroom.was in such bad order I was discussed therec3 of 5 sinks not working and coke sprayed all over the counters. The stalls were covered in pics and over the floor I can believe this facility passes a health unit inspection. Never have I had such a disappointing experience than I had tonight. My wife and I ordered our "usual" which is a combo with 2 hotdogs, large popcorn and nachos. It also comes with 2 drinks and candy. Now the popcorn and Candy were fine and my wife's drink, the iced tea was also fine. The Diet Coke was watered down to the point that I couldn't even tell what I was drinking, but ok, fountain pop is hit or miss... the hot dogs were good too. Now. The nachos. I'm not sure what has changed, but the chips themselves were very bland compared to how the used to be - even as recently as a few months ago. Much less salt, which is suppose is good, but almost no flavour. Then there's the cheese. The biggest offender. I don't know what they did here, but the taste is disgusting. A little heat was added, which I did like, but the flavour was so bad that we literally checked the expiry dates on both cheeses. (Neither were expired) the best description of the nachos I can give, is that the chips were like cardboard and the cheese was like plastic. Never again will I order nachos from Silver City. It will be a long time before we risk ordering anything else either. read more

It was very busy, so I didn't want to send back my order because I empathized with the seemingly "busy" staff. Waited 12 minutes for my iced coffee, and to receive this instead of what I had ordered -- ridiculous. Not to mention I paid $5 for this. I'm really disappointed with the wait time as well as the quality of my order. Maybe the staff need to be trained more in depth on what an iced coffee is? a simple, straightforward order like an iced coffee shouldn't end up looking (or tasting) this terrible. I don't have really much to compare this place to except for my regular theater on the Queensway in Etobicoke. One thing I noticed is they lack automated kiosks to get your own tickets and instead have a large 7 way winding roped line to get your tickets at the manned counter. The foyer can be very crowded here also because of the central concessions in the middle. Besides that everything about the building as a whole is as expected, not necessarily the most tidy of buildings but not disgustingly filthy either. It is however smaller than I'm used to and the theater we were in to see the Force Awakens which is still only weeks old was on a medium sized screen/theater unless they're all like this, not very large than what I'm used to at the Cineplex on Queensway. read more

I've always loved the movies and there is something about sitting in a dark theatre eating popcorn watching a movie which you just cant experience on a television or a computer. The internet made movies so accessible that movie theatres were more of an inconvenience than an experience. I live on 5 min away from SilverCity Brampton. Its one of the few theatres in my area that offer Ultra AVX which really made me come back to watching movies at the theatres. Gone are the days of waiting in line 1-2 hours before the movie starts just to buy tickets and then line up again to find good seats. The Ultra AVX concept allows you to watch a feature movie by letting you choose your seats before you go into the theatre either online or buying the tickets at the theatre. This added feature allows me to walk in 15 min before a movie starts and ensures that I have the seating I want. If you have been to any movie in the last 5 yrs then you most likely have been to a Cineplex chain. The theatres are not just places to see movies, but entertainment destinations. You can see your movies, but also play video games, have parties, have a meal or host a meeting. The staff at Silvercity Brampton are structured and polite, they do their job to the letter but as for going above and beyond..that is a limit that still needs to be reached. The food options here are diverse as they offer so much more than popcorn and hotdogs. Nachos, Burgers, Pizzas, gourmet coffees, designer popcorn even now in special VIP theatres you can now have alcohol at your seat with custom seat service. Cineplex now has made the whole movie experience almost effortless, you can buy tickets online or at the theatre or even on your mobile device and pick up your tickets through an automated teller or through the ticket counter. If you are a frequent movie goer you can also sign up for the Cineplex Scene card which gives you points on the movies you watch and a discount on food and drink concessions. They lock the soda machines so you can't get refills after a certain time even though there are movies playing, they also don't have great seats like other Cineplex's and their staff either ignored me and stood around or tried to trick me by giving me concession sizes that were smaller than I paid for. As one of the largest movie theatres in Brampton, this is an exceedingly busy location. As such, a certain amount of disarray can, and should, be expected. I've been to this theatre many times, and although it's not my preferred, it will do. The staff do their best to keep the lines moving, the bathrooms clean, etc, however, there's just far too many customers versus employees. They have the 3-D and AVX theatres where you can choose your seats in advance, as well as the free style Coke machines, though it can take quite a bit of time as many people don't seem to understand how they work. As they are almost always packed with crowds, I would recommend doing the online pre-order tickets that you pick up via the machines. This location would benefit from adding a few more kiosks as the main queue line is very, very long. read more

Big Cineplex! This is the busiest Movie theatre in Brampton thus far, I think. It gets pretty busy especially on weekends. They have Burger king, Pizza pizza and something like a yogen früz in there with ice cream too. It's basically in the Trinity plaza, with outlet stores there. It kinda reminds of a smaller Heartland town centre. Whenever I come to Brampton I always come here to watch movies with my friends. read more

They have UltraAVX which is one of my favorite experiences at the movies. Reserved Seating, bigger screen, bigger sound, seats that lean back, and more leg room. The regular theatres are pretty nice as well. They keep up with all of the regular cleaning schedules and also show the latest movies. Silvercity Brampton is located in a large strip mall (Trinity Commons) in Brampton. During my latest venture, I watched Man of Steel. Ticket prices are expensive with the general admission ticket priced at $11.50. Child tickets are priced at $7.99 and senior tickets are priced at $8.50. When I purchased my tickets, the lady's service was average and helped me accordingly. The theatre contains a wide variety of movies from the mainstream films to the occasional Bollywood movies. Food and beverages are also available to purchase. There is a wide variety of food and drinks including popcorn, PizzaPizza and Burger King. However, the price for the food and beverages are expensive. Arriving at the correct showroom, the seats are clustered together. The seats can sometimes be discomforting after sitting for a long time. The screen is clear and provides good audio sound to the audience. The size and quality of the screen is great. Silvercity is an average theatre. I recommend this to everyone looking for a good film to watch. The biggest movie theatre in Brampton at the end of a large strip mall it is your typical huge suburban cineplex. Mainstream blockbuster type movies are the norm here with fancy art house movies or small movies in general are harder to come by, yes they cater to the south Asian markets but that does not really set this theatre apart as many locations realise that it is worth it to jump on the Bollywood bandwagon. You get your typical food choices in here which means nothing great, if you can tell apart popcorn quality from theatre to theatre I would say the popcorn here is average or just below. Staff members are for the most part uninspiring and just friendly enough to pass the day. But I cant complain too much, crowds are more annoying than average because it is a big draw for high schoolers but the movie quality is OK, prices are cheaper than downtown tickets and they have an Ultra AVX theatre. People are not too spoiled for choice in these parts in terms of movie watching locations, but I would recommend it here over....not watching a movie? read more

In light of recent big changes to Silvercity Brampton at Trinity Commons, it seemed appropriate to write a review. With the recent changes to many Silvercity locations, and the addition of the Ultra-AVX screens, B-town decided to hop on that bandwagon, and I recently got to check out the results. Firstly, certain things were the same. The snack bar hasn't changed at all, nor has the Burger King tucked behind it. The NY Fries has (maybe not so) recently become what appears to be a much healthier alternative, though I didn't get close enough to really examine the menu. Besides, if you don't want to eat overpriced theater food, Trinity offers Casey's, Montanas, East Side Marios, Pizza Pizza, Harvey's, Subway, Wild Wing, and a couple of other chain-restaurant options. The entire ticket-purchase station is revamped, and moved to the side wall, which is so much more convenient, as the old station allowed for a chaotic line that would extend through the entranceway. They've also added a large new screen which displays the showtimes, and will alert the customer if a certain time is cutting close or has already started, through colour-changes and a flashing font. And what I believe is a first in any theater I've been in...a CLOCK is also featured prominently. I've never understood why a clock is never found in a place populated by people needing to know the time, but there you have it. Another thing that hasn't changed is the small arcade area. Some of the machines look like they've seen way better days, and they don't really seem to be getting that much play, but perhaps at busier times they're really put to use. I also noticed a new addition...it appears to be a little glass booth you stand in, which simulates being in a furious storm. I figured I'd save my money, and just hit the Silvercity during a bad blizzard for the real thing. As for the screens, I'm Team AVX all the way. I just can't fathom going back, now that I've been spoiled with this thing, the 5 dollar additional fee is a drop in the bucket for the extra comfort. I confess: I'm normally that guy who shifts uncomfortably like some drug addict during the entirety of shows, because I hate the seats so much. These new AVX theater seats are like sitting on a giant cotton ball, if the cotton ball reclined and held your drink for you. Just lovely. The picture and sound are pitch-perfect as well. One huge complaint I used to have with this Silvercity were the screens being so completely darkened, that you couldn't even see what was going on in really-dark scenes. It feels good to return to normality, as my first 2 movies on these screens were horror films with very dark scenes (Don't Be Afraid of the Dark and The Thing, since you asked), and had no complaints whatsoever. As an added bonus for our South Asian friends (or any fans of Indian films really), Silvercity B-town recognizes the demand for fine Indian cinema in this particular region, and devotes a few screens to it. I'm really glad they've fixed up this theater. Now I don't have to trek to Mississauga to enjoy a movie! read more

It's a huge location and very busy. Machines should really be kept stocked with paper, when 4 ticket machines go down at the same time the line becomes hectic. Staff are pleasant and helpful, I must say I admire them for dealing with such a busy atmosphere so well, all the while being polite and professional. Seats are comfortable, but not really my forte. I do have to admit I prefer the smaller spaces with bigger chairs in the VIP theater... but I am a mild germaphobe, so this is about my preference only, as when I saw such a packed theater... I could only think where's my hand sanitizer. lol In all it costs about $130 for 4 people (Tickets $50, Snacks/combos $80), which seems pretty good in comparison to the VIP. It's close to many restaurants which is very convenient. The Cinema itself makes for a quick paced date setting as to pick up food items you must walk to different areas, they are a bit further apart in the main area. Hot Dogs were great, as were the Nachos. Popcorn was plentiful and buttery. The coke machine was possibly my fave novelty experience of this Cinema, it's amazing really, so many flavours and options, I was a bit overwhelmed at first, but snagged epic raspberry coke, quite delicious. Had a great night overall, but I would really like to see the the ticket machines better stocked... as soon as machines stopped working in unison people began to get fairly aggressive in line and stand in the middle of two, trying to block others etc. it made for an upsetting experience within the first 5 mins of entering... but after the paper was changed in one machine, it began to calm down (But it might have only been this individual and not reflective of other patrons). Experienced a lot of movie theatres throughout Scarborough, Markham, Toronto and North York; Trinity commons silver city is by far the most the enjoyable theatre of them all. People complaining about the prices seem to not realize these are the prices of every movie theatre. Movie theatre is very nice and open, lots of seats and they are very comfortable too. Coming from Michigan, I have to say the seats at this theater are horrible. They were the most uncomfortable seats I have ever sat in. The ambience of the theater is nice but please upgrade the seating. I am biased because the seats at most movie theaters in Michigan are leather reclining seats (and you don't have to pay extra for that). This is a pretty decent set of theaters, pretty comparable to any of the other SilverCity brand of theaters out there. Theater is clean, assigned seating is of course awesome, and my only real complaint is that I really wish that the seats in the AVX theater have lift-up armrests, as I find that Lee and I are much more comfortable watching a movie when there isn't an armrest between us. read more

I have had a scene card since pre-high school and I have never been asked to show my ID to use my Scene Card.... So just wondering if this was some joke played by the ticket staff or if that is actually required in order to collect points?! I give up! I have complained to management and by phone calls to Cineplex about the low quality of the projection at this location. I have been given free tickets before because of my frustration and complain, when I took my child to his first visit to a movie theatre, and the darkness of the screen was unacceptable. Fort the last 5 years since then nothing has changed. I don't understand how a company so big like this an keep on making such a big mistake: we will not be encouraged to pay to see a movie in big screen if the quality of the projection is so bad. We risked our money and time again to see Rogue One, yesterday, Wednesday December 28. Movie room 8 at Cineplex Great Lakes in Brampton. The image was so dark that we could barely distinguish some faces of the actors. Just after leaving the theatre I made a decision: I bought a new big screen TV. Many pros but there are also cons. Overall, many variety in food and movies. Your experience will depend on what type of person you are when watching a movie, the actual movie you choose, and when the show time is. It's bust Tuesday evenings and nights as the tickets are half priced. They are $7.50 regardless of age. Children 3 and under are free at this theatre. There is Burger King, New York fries, and much more inside. There's an area for bookings too if you have some sort of event like a birthday party. I heard the other seating (Ultra) is phenomenal. The food is a bit overpriced that the cinema sells but Burger King was okay in that department. The employee responsible at each auditorium (about 12 or 14 in total I believe) should help people inside. They should monitor more often. I prefer the afternoon, where less people attend so there's more seating available. It's first come first serve unless you choose options like ultra. Usually the staff are great it's just sometimes where you grab popcorn, you see more employees doing nothing. Buying tickets online is the best feature. Standing in line will be long. There are kiosks for self serve as well. The mini arcade is a bit overpriced, but great for anyone to play. I have heard many multicultural movies have played, especially Asian. Was not very impressed with the service. We were trying to purchase snacks for the movie and there were 8 employees standing behind the counter doing nothing. Not one customer was being helped and many customers did not even know where to line up because every time they approached the counter the person behind the counter would move somewhere else. Your feet stick to floor due to spilled drinks every where and I tried to take grandson to bathroom and what a discussing mess , s______ all over seats.
