Silverwood is one of my families favorite places. It's very clean. Surfaces are kept freshly painted and walkways are clean. The bathroom are well kept and seats are not dirty. The restaurant make food fresh and of quality ingredients. The portions are massive for most things so this makes sharing easy. There are key nights for us which are the wooden coasters, Lindy's restaurant which is food made from scratch (cornbread and honey is a must) and the train. If you want to make a trip of it there is a campground and RV park at Silverwood directly out the main gates!! read more

The PNW's only Theme Park ​This is by far the best (and really the only) high-quality theme park in the Pacific Northwest; others truly pale in comparison. It's certainly not Disneyland by any stretch of the imagination, but it is unequivocally a fun place to visit. ​If you're familiar with Knott's Berry Farm, I would describe this park as a lighter, halfway version of that experience, notably without any dark rides. You can clearly tell they draw a lot of inspiration from Knott's theming and aesthetic. Despite its smaller scale, you can easily have a very fun two-to-three-day trip here, depending on your family's interests and pace. ​ ​The food situation is a definite trade-off: I think the quality is generally not great (with the glorious exception of the ice cream!), but it is ridiculously affordable by theme park standards, which is a massive win that almost makes up for the basic quality. ​A minor logistical hurdle is that the closest hotel is about ten miles away, which can present its own set of challenges, but for the overall experience and value, it was definitely worth the effort. BEST PLACE EVER! The rides are amazing especially Stunt Pilot and Tremors. And the campground is super great.

We went as a group of 8 and it was great. My literal only trip had zero to do with the park and everything to do with the weather. We did almost every ride on the dry side with the exception of aftershock and tremors (both were closed) stunt Pilot was our favorite and we all went on jt at least 4 time. The weather was awful barely anyone in the park which for the dry side was great because we could run on and off and back on over and over with no wait. My son and my friends husband went on all the rides in the water park in less than an hour. Again no lines! I went on 1 but was so cold regretted that move and got back into dry clothes. All in all we had a great time and will for sure be back next year. read more

This is my absolute most favorite place to travel to for Halloween fun! Silverwood turns into scary wood, I recommend it to every person possible. We drove 6 1/2 hours to come and weren't disappointed at all. The scares are real, and constant throughout the park, even with a ton of people. I recommend getting there at 4:30 to get into the park, parking at five, and waiting in line until doors open at seven. I have done this timeline a few years and have been the first ones at the gate each time. Make sure to map out where you're going to the most popular attraction, it will get busy fast! This is such a fun theme park! The staff is so friendly, tons of food choices. Their handmade ice cream is so delicious. The water park is very clean, lots of lifeguards and the slides are great! They also have an area for the little ones to play and splash around. Huge fan of the lazy river for a more chill vibe! They have lots of different rides in the main park for all ages. This place was super fun. Great rides, MOSTLY great people, (ill get to that later), and overall great experience. Usually, I don't leave reviews, but an employee named barnes completely ruined my day, and ruined a 5-star review. Let me paint you a picture: My family was in line for Tremors (great ride), and we MISTAKENLY went in the wrong lane. Even though there was nobody in line, BARNES was VERY upset. He rolled his eyes at us, made rude hand gestures, and spoke negatively to and about us when we left. Update of Day 2: Barnes was very nice to all the people around us, and he was funny while getting us situated on the ride. Good job Barnes, your now my favorite worker! It was my first time ever in Idaho, and coming here was amazing! We spent 3 days total at Silverwood, 2 days on rides and 1 day at the waterpark. My personal favorite ride was Spin Cycle. It's high intensity, but not so much that you feel nauseous. Honestly, I loved all the rides and waterslides I went on. They are very thrilling. Aftershock goes upside down AND backwards, and Tremors goes underground! At the waterpark there is a bar in the middle of the lazy river! (One of the water slides has a huge 50 mph drop!) Food wise, I would definitely recommend eating at Lindy's, a vintage burger place. Get a huckleberry milkshake!! There are a few places around the park to get them. Can't wait to go back!! read more

The family and I visited this park for the first time on 7/10/25. Coming ftom the Portland area and not knowing what to expect. I thought this place was like Six Flags Theme Park, but I was wrong. This park reminded me of Knotts Berry Farm in Southern California. The lines was short all day and was able to do all the roller coasters in about 2 hours. I was expecting to see some kind of haunted house or scary dark ride but they didn't have one. We ate lunch and dinner at the all you can eat BBQ Chuckwagon pay one price and eat all day pass. The food was great. The only complaint I would have is I thought the price to get in was a little expensive. Over all my visit was great and will be returning to the park in the future. read more

Went last year during the summer season and came back for Scarywood this October, I am always impressed by how clean the park is and the friendliness of the staff. Leagues better than any park in the entire state of Washington. Great atmosphere, food and souvenirs are not obscenely overpriced like other high-end theme parks. Fun rides, even if the wooden coasters are a bit rough. The haunted houses during Scarywood were a blast, thoroughly impressed with the level of detail. I wish the actors were a little better with their back-and-forth improv, but I could tell they were giving a good effort. We went on the first Thursday they were open so it wasn't overcrowded, we were able to hit all the haunts, several rides and caught the magic show all in one evening. read more

Beautiful Theme Park with some great rides. Feels like a mix of Disneyland and Knotts Berry farm. Layout is a bit strange because property was originally an airport and runs along the highway. Stunt Pilot and the train that goes around the park are my favorite rides. The pizza and magic show is also really fun! Tremors is another family favorite. Love Scarywood in the fall, but wish it was included with the season passes (especially the Gold pass) IMO the park needs a dark ride, like Pirates of the Caribbean or Splash Mountain at Disneyland. This would make it feel like a more complete theme park experience. The waterpark is great too, I go for the lazy river because it has a bar in the middle of it. What more could you want? Great arcade too. For food? Lindy's is a fantastic place to eat, good food and service (smash burger was excellent.) Must try's: Huckleberry Lemonade. It's very sweet but amazing on a hot day. What makes this a 4/5 and not a 5/5? -Some park employees need better training. I've seen some with bad attitudes and others with unprofessional attitudes. The majority have been fine and some have been delightful -Park needs more benches for people with health issues. I came with my dad who had trouble keeping up, he expected there would be more places for him to sit down -Park bathrooms could be cleaner, better training for the cleaning staff or hire more of them -Lines can get long. Some rides only have one train on the track, so turnaround takes a while. A couple of high capacity themed dark rides could help Overall we love Silverwood! It's not Disneyland, it's not Knotts Berry Farm, but it's the closest you'll get within 1200 miles. So make the best of it and appreciate it for what it is, and most importantly have fun! read more

This is a shout out to the AMAZING staff of Scarywood. October 2023 was my daughters first time attending Scarywood with us. When she entered the park she suddenly became terrified ( this is after her begging us to go for weeks). Cast members from all over the park came by to talk to her and encourage her to stay. By the end of the night she was leaving the park waving goodbye to all her scary friends and telling them she would be back next year. The ammount of respect I have for the haunt actors grew tremendously that night. They created a new horror fan in my daughter. This year we took her again and she immediately walked in the park with confidence and excitement. She even recognized several of her " friends" from the previous year. Came during Halloween season when they turn into Scarywood and had a blast! The decorations and fog they added to the place made it an excellent way to get in the mood of Halloween and the haunts were pretty fun. A lot of the makeup and decorations were surprisingly realistic and didn't feel gimmicky. There's a good mix of families and adults around having a good time. Most of the scarers did an excellent job - but two individuals really went into the territory of sexual harassment of a friend (following her when we were out of the haunt). Management needs to do a better job of screening/training to ensure that their scarers understand what is inappropriate to say - and what is fitting with the theme. Some of the rides are closed but most are open - and it's very fun riding a rollercoaster during the night with a spooky themed place looking below. We ordered a pizza while here and it was surprising good for amusement parks! There was a nice cheese pull and everything. I also really like that the place is cashless. There's a lot of signage around the roads pointing you how to enter - the google maps instructions have you going a slightly different route. Scareywood was great. Could have done without the rain. The parking lot is very very awful when it comes time to leave. We spent over an hour trying to get in line to exit. Nobody would let anyone in line and when it came to a intersection nobody was doing the right thing of tacking turns. Alot of road rage. I suggest that the theme park do some traffic control ... Silverwood is a lovely, mid-sized theme park and water park in Northern Idaho. The grounds are lovely, clean and with lots of shade. Most of the employees were friendly and cheerful. In the theme park, the lines for the rides mostly move quickly, except for the wooden rollercoasters, which are very popular. They have 5-6 thriller rides, plus a host of rides for families and smaller children. We were disappointed that Aftershock was closed for maintenance when we visited, and there was no advance warning on their website. The water park is huge, with multiple slides, a lazy river, two wave pools and a large kiddie play area. The lines for the two large water rides at the back of the park were way too long and slow moving - we didn't ride them. The lines for the other slides were fast moving and there is something for everyone. The wave pools have quite aggressive waves, which my granddaughter loved. Just watch your kids!!!! I wish they had a few more changing rooms, especially close to the entrance. Food options are standard, but a bit limited for full meals. The BBQ picnic areas offer the best "all you can eat" options. I think they need a few other full meal options, as wait times during prime time are quite long. All the food we consumed was tasty and fresh. All in all, a lovely amusement park! read more

I've been here about 3 times over the last 5 years. This review is based on my Aug 2024 experience. Environment: The staff are wonderful. I haven't had a bad experience with any of them. Most prices for merchandise are exactly what I'd expect to pay. For example, my son's hoodie was $32. Food: They let you bring in your own food (look at the website for specifics). The food at the park itself is good amusement park food and not overly priced. We were able to order enough food to feed my family of 5 for under $50 (pizza, breadsticks, popcorn bucket, and drinks). Extras: The shows, like the Magic Show and train rides, for example, are a great intermission to rides! Parking: You do have to pay for parking, but it's only $10, and if you get there early enough, you can park really close. You can also store a cooler in your car for a lunch intermission with the family as the park allows re-entry. read more

We went on a Saturday and the park was packed beyond capacity. We spent the whole day standing in slow lines. Hardly got to do any slides in the water park bc of ridiculously long lines. Staff consistently let roller coasters run with empty seats. The magician changed since the last time we visited, and the current one is TERRIBLE. Our family visited silverwood theme park for the first time. We went on the last weekend of their summer hours, and we thought that would be better than the middle of summer for crowds. First, Their RV park: We also discovered shortly before going that they had an RV park! We had reserved a hotel for about $1100 for three nights in Coeur d'Alene, but when we found out about the RV park we checked and were actually able to find a spot for our RV, so we canceled the hotel and stayed at the RV park for $200 instead if f $1100, and didn't have a 30 min drive! Also we could just walk back to the trailer anytime and cool off or get refreshments. Very convenient. The only thing we didn't like about the RV park was we were RIGHT NEXT to the freeway and the noise was loud and constant. The only good thing was that it was so constant that it became like white noise. To minimize that, consider getting a spot on the RIGHT side of the RV park if you can. (Opposite side from the freeway and silverwood). They had a small store there and the staff was very nice. They have a huge kids play structure in the middle of the RV park, and the water in the RV connections tastes good and there are showers. If you have an RV and want to go to silverwood, staying in this RV park is overall a great option. Apparently it's nearly impossible to get spots there during the regular summer, but if you are early or late in the season like we were, it might not be so bad. We got a Fri, Sat, and Sunday night with only a few weeks notice. We had to move once, but still a good deal. As for the park, it was mostly unbearably crowded. When they first opened it wasn't too bad, but within an hour there were long lines. Too long to really want to deal with. It made me feel like I was back in Commiefornia fighting the mobs of people. The rides that we did go on were pretty good. I was only able to go on 3 or 4, as I had kids that were afraid to go on the large ones, even if we could get though the line, but my favorite by far was STUNT PILOT. The MOST intense ride I've been on. I'm sure the others were good too, but I wasn't able to go on most. The food was overpriced, obviously, but the chicken strip meals were very good. When you are gouged, at least it's nice to get something delicious. The restaurants seemed to close early though, we tried to go to the nice sit down Italian place, but they had stopped taking new customers 90 min before the park closed. The water park, boulder beach, was a lot of fun. At first it took us an hour to find ONE single chair for my wife, and before we found it I was ready to say screw this, with no where for her to sit out of the sun, but after she had that chair, we could enjoy the park. (Everyone drapes their towels over the available chairs to save them, and then goes off all day, so there are hundreds of unoccupied chairs that are unavailable). The lines were more manageable in the water park, and the tube slides were fun and and the non tube slides, but unless you have a group of 4-6 don't bother with the larger group inner tubes at the far end of the park. The line was about an hour, and the 30 second tube ride was not even worth it. My personal favorite was the large wave pool. Both me and my older two daughters had a lot of fun there. Very large waves, warm water, and it was just fun! The floating circle in the middle was also fun and relaxing. Definitely worth going on a hot day. The gift shot was pricey, but they had everything you might need of you didn't bring it. Overall Silverwood is great, if somehow you can avoid the crowds. Not really sure how to do that, but that's my recommendation. read more

Today we came with my Mom and my two daughters. The lines to rides were great, we went through them fast. I think everyone is on the water park side because it was not busy at all. We ate at Caselli's pizzeria. My daughter had the cheese pizza and my Mom and I had the garden and Cesar salads. The salads were so fresh and yummy we were really impressed. My family goes here every year when we come up from AZ. We make it an open til close day of it. In our 12 hour day, here's what we make of it. Parking is $10 and the entire park is moving to cashless so you'll need a card or Apple Pay/Google Wallet for all purchases (unless you do the cash and which we've never done). If you bought online tickets, you'll also have to show proof of the card you used to buy them at the gate. If you are planning to go to the water park side first like we always do, I suggest getting there at least 30-45 mins early. The line forms and as soon as they open the gates, it's a MAD DASH to secure chairs and shade. We get there early, join the Pamplona style rush to the water park and one person goes to get chairs while the others rush to the rides to get on before the lines build. We try and get the big rides done early so we don't have to wait in the ling midday lines, baking in the sun. The park allows you to bring outside food and drink in but it has it meet park guidelines (they do bag searches at the entry gate). We pack in a full picnic style lunch and usually eat between 1-2pm. We spend the rest of the afternoon in the wave pool and lazy river and other slides, if the lines aren't too long. Side note about the lazy river: maybe "lazy" is not the right word. You have to fight for a tube, there is no limit on how many times you can go around either so people just forgo the tubes all together and just walk/run/swim/float it. It's the warmest water in the park and has a section with a swim up bar, so it draws a lot of people in. This isn't the leisurely float you might be expecting it to be. Around 3-4pm we change clothes and take all our water park stuff back to the car. The staff will stamp your hand for reentry. We move over the amusement park side and try and get to Coaster Alley to ride all the coasters before the water park closes. We can usually get right on and off and have almost no wait but once the water park closes, your wait can double or triple. Word of advice: if you've never ridden a wooden coaster before, they are LOUD!!! Not just roller roaster loud but rattle your literal ear drums loud. Not to mention you either get a chiropractic adjustment on them or need one afterwards. Not smooth sailing. Our kids are hit or miss if they want to do the wood coasters. Instead they really like Stunt Pilot and Corkscrew. We also don't make the rookie mistake anymore of doing roller coasters after we've eaten, so we meet for dinner around 6-7pm. I'm going to let you in on the best deal by far in all of Silverwood is the one scoop bowl/come at the Creamery. If this "one scoop" could apply as a way of measuring other delicious things, chip bags would be entirely full and family sized! This one scoop is actually 5ish and it's feeds out 5 people, plus you can pick up to three flavors. It's always a winner. Perfect way to get some nice cold ice cream in and some good sitting time after a lot of walking. Then, before the sun goes down, we do the two water attractions so we can dry off before it gets dark. The signs say "you might get wet" .. uh no. 100% you will be soppy so wear quick dry clothes or don't all the way change into your warm dry clothes until after the water rides. Especially jeans or Jean shorts; that's a mistake that will be chafing you for the rest of the evening. To round us out for the night we ride everything else and spend some time with the younger kids who come with us on some of the smaller rides. Our favorite is the Crazy Coaster and even though it looks like a little guy compared to its big brothers in Coaster Alley, it gives you quite the ride! If the ride operator spins you beforehand, it's a bonus. By closing time everyone is ready to head out, exhausted and we call it another successful year. Tips: -buy tickets in the off season and get the early bird price (since they can be used anytime, no reservations needed at the tim e of this review) -bring lots of water and sunscreen -bring a method of payment that isn't cash -buy the collector cup right when you get there so you can get free refills all day long or remember to bring yours from previous visits for 99 cent refills -people in the water park leave their stuff in chairs all day long and for the most part, no one messes with it. Also, if you see a chair with stuff on it, it's not available and don't be the exception of messing with stuff people left behind -life jackets are provided -try and go on a weekday to avoid crowds -get the ice cream!! -once the water park closes, you can't leave your stuff there; you'll have to take it to the car, get a locker or carry it around -it's a lot of walking so be prepared -save your feet from burning/blistering up in the water park by bringing flip flops or sandals read more

This park packs so a good variety of the best of the best when it comes to rides and roller coasters. I enjoyed every second at this park, even while nearly choking on the nearby wildfire smoke. We were there two days, which was just adequate. We could have managed more. Prices were affordable, staff was friendly, food was really good. My wife is from the Athol area and actually worked at Silverwood in the early 2000s. She had a bad experience and left after about six weeks. That being said, she hadn't been back, until a couple of weeks ago when we visited while we were in town. I finally convinced my wife to go and we went on a Friday morning in early August. While it took us a few minutes to get through the parking area (the park had just opened) it wasn't super stressful. Parking is only $10 which is much cheaper than what I'm used to. Busch Gardens in Tampa, Florida is up to $35 per car, so $10 is a steal. As we were walking towards the entrance of the park, through the tunnel that goes under the Interstate, my wife began to have a little bit of a PTSD meltdown, but by the time we got through the front gate, she had calmed down quite a bit. The beauty of the park made for a pleasant day and her memories of the past were washed away by "oh hey, that looks way nicer now" and "oh wow, the landscaping is awesome". Within an hour, she was completely at ease and was able to enjoy the atmosphere. We walked around the entire park and opted to get on the train ride around 12:30 PM. It was a great show (a little overacted), but we got to see Bigfoot! Once the train returned, we went to Lindy's for lunch. I was expecting to pay $30-$40 per person, but it was less than $20 per person. We both ended up getting cocktails and I think with our appetizer, two entrees, two cocktails, and a tip, we were out the door for less than $60. What a great value! After that, we went and got a massive funnel cake for $5, eating it in silence as the alcohol in our drinks did its work. Once the funnel cake was done being devoured, we were done being at the park, so we waddled out to the car and went home. Would I go back? 100000% Silverwood is one of the nicest and more value-oriented theme parks I've ever been to. There were lots of shady places, great food to eat, and tons of rides. I think we'll make visiting a part of our annual trek to Idaho. read more

Bottom line: it's great summer fun and a great place to take the family and for a day out. There's really no central theme (like a Mickey Mouse or marvel characters, etc) but from what I've gathered... it mostly revolves around mid-west 19th century. The rides were decent. Thrill rides are mostly roller coaster centric and the other half of the park is catered to children 8 and below. While you can go through the whole park in a day (on a relatively slow week day), I can see how busy summer days or weekends can make the lines very long for a 45-second joy ride. Which In the grand scheme of things, isn't different than Disney or universal or Six flags. The food is "meh." It's your normal amusement park/bar food with hamburgers, hotdogs, and chicken fingers. There is a place for some BBQ but be prepared to pay a hefty price for the picnic experience. Pro-tip: checkout the website to check hours of operations. Summer hours start at around 1100 hours and goes all the way to 10pm. Although, the waterpark closes earlier than the amusement park portion of it. Pro-Tip #2: You can bring in unopened water and snacks (like family size Doritos or vegetable trays) but you won't be allowed to bring in prepared food or alcohol. Also, if you're going to bring in infant/toddler life jackets, it'll have to be certified (see website for more detail). We weren't allowed to bring in "floaties." Overall- I'd come back but it's not something one would do everyday. It's a once in a quarter or two experience. read more

This is our family's summer vacation spot for all children yearly. We are fortunate to have my father in law and his wife's house only located 20 mins away from the attraction. My best advice to families or groups of people is to rent a cabana if you want to enjoy your day at the water park. I just think for $275, you'd get the peace of mind that you have a reserved spot at the water park and you don't have to get in line 2 hours prior to opening time just to rush in for a spot. The cabana comes with little table and four chairs, two lounge chairs, little cooler for you to store your drinks and/or food, secured locker, and food/drink service when you need to order food/drinks. The prices for food aren't that bad. If you complain, just try Disney Land prices. We always have a blast at the water park. The way we do our parks is we do one day for water park, and one day is reserved for theme park. We tried doing water park and theme park all in 1 day in 2020, and it didn't work out well because everyone was so cranky and exhausted by end of day. The theme park has tons of great rides, but the lines are just long. I guess patience pays off if you are ok with standing in lines for the rides. By the way, you seriously need to try After Shock and Stunt Pilot rides. You won't be disappointed. My husband thinks Silverwood in ID is way better than Wild Waves in WA. To each of their own opinion! I prefer Silverwood as well, but that's because I also like to travel. read more
