Outstanding! Clean and well-maintained. Nice and efficient staff. Reasonable snack bar prices with good options. Superb rink flooring and lighting. We went with younger kids on a Sunday afternoon and they had a great, and safe, time. Two of the three kids had limited time on skates but were able to learn quickly, in large part because rink is large and more experienced skaters were careful. A great family outing. read more

Decent skating rink, the girl at the register with dyed hair I think / short hair was very rude on giving shoes and answering questions. But the price was basically 50 bucks for two people which is insane and we weren't even there for longer than 20 minutes. read more

Updating my previous review to 5 stars. They've offered some great theme nights like costume night for Halloween and it's only $5, such a great deal. But the biggest improvement that I've noticed over the last couple visits.... The music! Not always super classic or well known songs but they do sprinkle in some real crowd favorites and it's all upbeat! This is a great place to skate but I can't find information about their operating hours anywhere. The only way I know is to call and if it's open and someone picks up the phone, they will tell you. There is not even a recorded message giving hours. I hope they are a profitable business because this fixable problem sends me to other rinks. read more

What's annoying is that they can't even play like regular music from the 1970s or 1980s to make it like a retro place. The music really takes away from the experience. I guarantee if the music was regular, so many more people would want to go there because it's an awesome place. read more

This review is solely based on our experience with the "deluxe" birthday party package. "Deluxe" is in quotes because the only thing deluxe about it is the cost. Summary: not worth the extra cost! Will not host another birthday party here. BUT, the kids did enjoy themselves, which is why I am giving a very generous 3 stars. Their website has very confusing details about having a party there. The person who oversees the party planning is not particularly helpful. We opted to pay a lot of extra money for the deluxe package because they make it sound like you have your own personal host who will basically do everything so that you can enjoy your child's party. That is not at all the experience we had. I spent the first 30 minutes getting all the kids in skates by myself. Our hostess was extremely nice, but she was also assigned to at least one other party AND was working at the snack bar. I literally had to go find her for every single thing that was included in our deluxe package (not her fault, just not what we thought we were getting). The website literally says "you provide the cake and candles, we'll take care of the rest." This was a premium that I paid for, but I do not feel like I received. There were also things "included" in the package that we just did not receive. The pizza is not good and it's incredibly expensive. The package includes 8 kids, so I paid for a few extra kids, but that does not include any food for them. I had to clean up after the kids when they were done eating and all of the wrapping paper from the presents. There is also added 15% gratuity, though I'm not sure for what service, since I did almost all the work myself, including getting utensils and refilling our water pitcher. After all was said and done, I paid almost $30 per child (plus cake and ice cream) to essentially still do all the work myself. At the end of the party, we were rudely rushed out so they could get ready for the next session. We still had ice cream in their freezer, which we ended up leaving there because of the way we were hustled out. Seems like that would be something the hostess could have ensured we got before we left, but maybe I'm expecting too much? IF your child insists on a birthday at Skate Plaza, consider the U-do-it package. At least then you are not paying for services that you do not actually get. Again, the kids did have fun, so I am grateful for that. Overall, the place is clean and the recent remodel is pretty nice. However, based on our experience, I absolutely under no circumstances will have another party here. If anyone from Skate Plaza reads this, I would suggest that update your website to actually reflect what is included in your parry packages. Had I realized I would be my own hostess and miss half my kid's party, I would never have picked the "deluxe" package. read more

This place was a huge facet of my childhood, as with everyone in the community. The fact that they've decided only Christian music will be played there is extremely exclusionary and really unfortunate. It's sad that only christians will feel welcome there now, that it's not welcoming to people from other walks of life. It makes me sad for kids who won't come to remember this place with the nostalgia that my generation does, and it makes me sad for those of us who are walking away from this with a bitter taste in our mouths. read more

We spent a fun time here for a birthday party for our grandson on Saturday, skating was fun, pizza was kid friendly, party was fun BUT 80% ( no exaggeration) of the token games were broken or out of order and not marked as such. This led to major disappointment among the kids, no tickets and lost tokens. It's not that hard to fix these, add tickets or at least put an out of order sign on them. read more

to start off, the rink itself is great! it's large, not crowded, and very well kept; the bathrooms are probably the cleanest i've seen at a rink. they also sell a wide variety of food. it's a great place to have family night or go hang out with friends. sadly, skate plaza is strictly plain skating, they don't have races or any extra add-ons. a lot of the music playing there is also christian or soft sad songs. it's a skating rink, we need some up beat jams! also, in the middle of the walkway there is two steps you have to go down; some kids and adults have a lot of trouble skating normally, the steps make it extra difficult on them and they're just plain dangerous for a skating rink. read more

We had a great time at Skate Plaza tonight for my daughter's 9 year old party. The staff was very friendly and checked in on us frequently. The music was age appropriate and not too loud. Clean facility. Most importantly our girls had a blast and are looking forward to going back again. read more

First time customer, my family and I decided to go skating yesterday. It was a Saturday, kinda busy as I would expect. The only real complaint I have is the skates provided for my three year old daughter and three year old nephew would barely roll, the bearings were shot. I went back to the counter to ask for an exchange and the young gentleman told me all the skates that size do it and there was nothing he could do. My skates were also neglected, but usable. Total cost was 14$, not a lot of money but a waste non the less. They rent out inline skates also that I didn't try, other people seemed to be enjoying them. Bottom line if you have a toddler I'd recommend bringing your own skates. read more

Decor was amazing they even have little walkers to help train the kiddos. Customer service hands down the best. But waaaayyyy to crowded lime hard to skate crowded. And the lines HORRIBLE peopme had to wait with heavy cakes. Have simeine faster at the entrance read more

Loved skating. It took us two tries to figure the right size skates. (We have wide feet). Great music. Clean. Helpful staff. Food was ok. The "racing" was fun. My 5 year old had one of the walker type things to help him balance, they cheered him on until he finished. Love that they had some older pinball machines and galaga. We will be back! read more

Great location for skating. The pricing is great and they offer inline and quad skate rentals. It was very full with a lot of little kids, but it was big enough for everyone to skate comfortably. I got some chicken nuggets and fries from the snack shop but it took a looong time for us to get them, so that is why I gave it 4 stars. read more

Brought my son here for his birthday. No, we did not schedule a party or purchase the birthday package. My son invited a friend who brought a gift for him. They wouldn't even let the gift into the facility. Pretty lame.... My son couldn't even open up 1 gift all because we didn't schedule a party here. This cant be ran by a church???? read more

As you can see by the reviews from years ago - this was an amazing establishment! We had been going there for 4 years when the new owners took over. I've been skating for 40 years and am very good - when I was turning, the whole wheel assembly came off!! I went down hard - at first just "oh, do you want new skates" no "I am sorry, let me get the manager" - I had to seek out the owner and demand my money back. Nothing else was done. I had a huge bruise on my elbow and a hematoma on the side of my hip for weeks!! The next time we went - had to turn mine and my sons skates in twice because they were in such bad condition. They do not repair or care about the quality of the skates - worst skates I've ever seen! They also changed all the food - I am in the food industry and let me tell you, it was not for the better. What I see is they are just looking to make money - period! It is sad because this was such a GREAT place when Major and his wife were running this. Great high school staff that cared and skated with the kids - even some of the old timers we saw all the time have quit going. Unfortunately going to have to go into Spokane to skate now. read more
