We went as a group of 8 and it was great. My literal only trip had zero to do with the park and everything to do with the weather. We did almost every ride on the dry side with the exception of aftershock and tremors (both were closed) stunt Pilot was our favorite and we all went on jt at least 4 time. The weather was awful barely anyone in the park which for the dry side was great because we could run on and off and back on over and over with no wait. My son and my friends husband went on all the rides in the water park in less than an hour. Again no lines! I went on 1 but was so cold regretted that move and got back into dry clothes. All in all we had a great time and will for sure be back next year.

This is my absolute most favorite place to travel to for Halloween fun! Silverwood turns into scary wood, I recommend it to every person possible. We drove 6 1/2 hours to come and weren't disappointed at all. The scares are real, and constant throughout the park, even with a ton of people. I recommend getting there at 4:30 to get into the park, parking at five, and waiting in line until doors open at seven. I have done this timeline a few years and have been the first ones at the gate each time. Make sure to map out where you're going to the most popular attraction, it will get busy fast! Food is great, all around fun time.

Loved this place. Due to the weather some of rides were closed for safety. David DaVinci and family were amazing ( 30 mins. ) The Silverwood Central Railway was fun to see the park. ( 30 mins. ) Only downfall was the Antique Car ride. A taller guy was training a female employee and they were painfully slow. Way too much talking / training. This was the only blemish.

This by far my favorite amusement park! And it's was my first time. This park was clean, staff was friendly and engaging. We had 100000% the best time here. It was my kids first amusement park (4&6) and my son's first roller coaster was here... probably not the best for 6 year olds. Whoops, but he laughs about it now. Both loooooved the rest of the park. We ate at the bbq place, great food. Dining area was clean, plentiful seating. We can't wait to return!

Very fun ride! We had a blast for a family trip! The food was pretty good for fair like food! The ice cream and huckleberry milkshakes we all loved a fun place for kids and babies too and the water park was fun!

It was my first time ever in Idaho, and coming here was amazing! We spent 3 days total at Silverwood, 2 days on rides and 1 day at the waterpark. My personal favorite ride was Spin Cycle. It's high intensity, but not so much that you feel nauseous. Honestly, I loved all the rides and waterslides I went on. They are very thrilling. Aftershock goes upside down AND backwards, and Tremors goes underground! At the waterpark there is a bar in the middle of the lazy river! (One of the water slides has a huge 50 mph drop!) Food wise, I would definitely recommend eating at Lindy's, a vintage burger place. Get a huckleberry milkshake!! There are a few places around the park to get them. Can't wait to go back!!

Came during Halloween season when they turn into Scarywood and had a blast! The decorations and fog they added to the place made it an excellent way to get in the mood of Halloween and the haunts were pretty fun. A lot of the makeup and decorations were surprisingly realistic and didn't feel gimmicky. There's a good mix of families and adults around having a good time. Most of the scarers did an excellent job - but two individuals really went into the territory of sexual harassment of a friend (following her when we were out of the haunt). Management needs to do a better job of screening/training to ensure that their scarers understand what is inappropriate to say - and what is fitting with the theme. Some of the rides are closed but most are open - and it's very fun riding a rollercoaster during the night with a spooky themed place looking below. We ordered a pizza while here and it was surprising good for amusement parks! There was a nice cheese pull and everything. I also really like that the place is cashless. There's a lot of signage around the roads pointing you how to enter - the google maps instructions have you going a slightly different route. We went by following the signs and that worked out well.

Silverwood is a lovely, mid-sized theme park and water park in Northern Idaho. The grounds are lovely, clean and with lots of shade. Most of the employees were friendly and cheerful. In the theme park, the lines for the rides mostly move quickly, except for the wooden rollercoasters, which are very popular. They have 5-6 thriller rides, plus a host of rides for families and smaller children. We were disappointed that Aftershock was closed for maintenance when we visited, and there was no advance warning on their website. The water park is huge, with multiple slides, a lazy river, two wave pools and a large kiddie play area. The lines for the two large water rides at the back of the park were way too long and slow moving - we didn't ride them. The lines for the other slides were fast moving and there is something for everyone. The wave pools have quite aggressive waves, which my granddaughter loved. Just watch your kids!!!! I wish they had a few more changing rooms, especially close to the entrance. Food options are standard, but a bit limited for full meals. The BBQ picnic areas offer the best "all you can eat" options. I think they need a few other full meal options, as wait times during prime time are quite long. All the food we consumed was tasty and fresh. All in all, a lovely amusement park!

Ask the Community - Silverwood Theme Park

Is there enough for a 2 & 3 year old to do?

Yes theres a whole ride section for smaller tots and the swim area has a little splash zone too.

Can I go barefoot in the park everywhere? Thx

Silverwood Theme Park requires shirts, shoes and appropriate dress, however Boulder Beach is barefoot approved for all the water park fun!

Ppl from WA... Is wild waves better than silverwood? The comments have me highly concerned bc growing up I've heard so many exciting things but now I'm grown n care where I put my money... I don't wanna waste time or money.

We don't have much experience with the theme park side of the two. However, hands down, Boulder Beach at Silverwood is a much better water park. Swim up bar for alcohol and regular beverages in the lazy river, better layout, more slides, 2 wave…

Are lockers available to store a change of clothes or backpack?

Locker rentals are available at the following locations: Boulder Beach Lockers General Store on Main…

    Do they sell beer?

    Yes and white claws!

    Are they open in April?

Silverwood is open on weekends and select weekdays in the spring with opening weekend usually falling in early May. Daily operation is from early June through Labor Day. Boulder Beach water park is open, weather permitting, from June through Labor…

Do they have any military discounts?

Unfortunately no, however, in the past two year during May 26-28 they've had all military, police, firefighters receive free admission.…

The bowling alley is clean compared to most bowling alleys and they have lanes for super little kids. It's a fun way to spend the day, albeit very expensive. Cons: The arcade was a let down. I had the $7.50 arcade credit and most of the games I wanted to play were broken/not working. But able to take my money. The lady at the counter was helpful in refunding it but it was still annoying. We tried to play 2 player games but every time one of the games wasn't working so we had to do it separately which isn't as fun. Plus all the games are insanely expensive like $3-7 for maybe a 1-3 min game. We reloaded our wrist bands and it seemed all the games make it so you have to keep putting money on your wristband and can't quite play any game without doing that OR you just leave without using the full amount that you paid because there aren't any games that cost less than what's left on your wristband. Mini golf was alright All in all, it's a fun family place but some improvements could be made for sure!

There was incomplete construction, wasted space, and the whole venue smelled like a stinky sock for what seemed like a decade. Now there's a new ownership which has really turned the place around. They cleaned, remodeled, painted, added big screen TVs and arcade gizmos, enlarged the rink, and continues to make improvements. There are still a lot of imperfections and I have complaints, but I will come back here again and again because I always have a good time skating with friends. Recently I've been there on adult night, Thursday. Thank goodness for this 18+ day, because I've skated here many times when there are a bunch of careless kids on the rink that appear to me only as hazards that I have to dodge constantly. The 90's nostalgia that Roller Valley had in the 2010's is mostly gone. The place feels newer and the soundtrack is almost always what the younger generation is into. Song requests are accepted and the result is a smorgasbord of music that I can't relate to. I think this is the reason why I see several skaters wearing noise cancelling earbuds, so they can jam to their preferred music while they roll. Staff is a mixed bag but I expect nothing more as the service industry in today's job market is kind of bonkers. Some staff appear longing to be anywhere else as they impatiently operate the credit card machine, while others rolling around on quad skates sport a cheery smile and happily greet patrons. I liked the food I tried. Gone are the sticky licorice ropes available during my childhood, present are some tasty breaded fries which came recommended. Just another sign that Roller Valley is moving forward and exists in the here and now. My biggest complaints with Roller Valley in 2022 are related to cleanliness and restroom privacy. I repeatedly smelled a moldy odor near the rink's entrance. Another frustration is the lack of urinal partitions in the men's restroom, as well as the extremely short toilet partition which I think I could see over if I were brave enough to sit down. TL;DR: Give Roller Valley a chance. The atmosphere here is relaxed and fun. Things are imperfect, just like us. Don't let that stop you from having good times and making memories.

It's located in the beautiful Riverfront Park area and is easy to find. It is a classic, old-school carousel that has been in operation since the early 20th century. That means it is completely mechanical and the speed of the ride is actually pretty fast in comparison to more modern electric versions. The horses, tigers, and seats are all the classic carousel design. Plus, the entire carousel is enclosed in a glass structure meaning it operates and can be ridden regardless of the weather outside. Hot, cold, rainy, snowy, doesn't matter. They also have added a unique "ring game" where you try and grab a small plastic ring as the carousel goes around and then throw it into a small target as you pass by. It was actually more fun than I thought it would be and pretty challenging. They have also implemented a pretty clever pay structure. The cost is somewhat reasonable for a couple rides, and they have a day pass for a bit more. We got there late so only rode it a couple times. But the kids loved it, and so did the bigger (adult) kids. Definitely worth a stop while exploring Riverfront Park!

The carousel will spin around and on the other side there is a stand in which you can throw the ring into and try to get it within one of the holes. It was so much fun.
