This is our family's summer vacation spot for all children yearly. We are fortunate to have my father in law and his wife's house only located 20 mins away from the attraction. My best advice to families or groups of people is to rent a cabana if you want to enjoy your day at the water park. I just think for $275, you'd get the peace of mind that you have a reserved spot at the water park and you don't have to get in line 2 hours prior to opening time just to rush in for a spot. The cabana comes with little table and four chairs, two lounge chairs, little cooler for you to store your drinks and/or food, secured locker, and food/drink service when you need to order food/drinks. The prices for food aren't that bad. If you complain, just try Disney Land prices. We always have a blast at the water park. The way we do our parks is we do one day for water park, and one day is reserved for theme park. We tried doing water park and theme park all in 1 day in 2020, and it didn't work out well because everyone was so cranky and exhausted by end of day. The theme park has tons of great rides, but the lines are just long. I guess patience pays off if you are ok with standing in lines for the rides. By the way, you seriously need to try After Shock and Stunt Pilot rides. You won't be disappointed. My husband thinks Silverwood in ID is way better than Wild Waves in WA. Love come in here and bring the kids spring and fall are the best times you literally walk on all the rides but Boulder beach is pretty fun in the summertime If you want a cabana you have to reserve it pretty early I would definitely suggest two months in advance but there are rare times where there are still cabanas available Since coffee is my go to I definitely get one at the Victorian house. Yummy. Theme park is nice and clean the grounds are taken care of and staff are friendly I'm currently watching people play chess at the Victorian house while waiting for my coffee... On a positive note the place was pretty clean, up to date and staff I had encounters with were very friendly. Lots of bathrooms and changing rooms! They also have wheelchairs and strollers for rent which was really convenient as we had to rent one last minute. The rides were Ok too. They don't have as many water rides in Boulder Beach as I thought they would. The parking lot is big so make sure you remember where you park based on the pole your next to. The line to get in at 11:15 AM, 15 minutes past opening, was immensely long but it was never at a stand still which was good. It took about 30 minutes to get in. The parking lot is a bit far from the park to step out and eat lunch so I suggest you take a cooler with lunch/snacks or buy your food inside. Parking is also $5. Bad part is that the place was way too packed for a gloomy Saturday and during COVID. I probably won't be making another trip here from Western Washington anytime soon. For me it's just not worth the drive. Highly suggest you don't stay at the water park until they close at 7 PM and then make your way to the theme park because the lines at the theme park will be long and you can barely walk in there after 7. We went on a Sunday and Monday at the end of August. It wasn't too crowded and the weather was nice. I think it was a great time to go. The first day we went to the rides area. First, we took the train. There were a lot of really gross bugs that kept flying in. The train ride and the commentary from the host were really geared toward younger children. We went on a few of the rides and the lines and wait weren't very long. The coffee shop was a nice place to sit and cool off, it was very cold. However, the wait was extremely long even though there weren't many people in line. The magic show was really well done and fun. I would love to see a longer performance from them. On Monday we went to the Boulder Beach side. We got to the chairs near the wave pool about 11:10am and there were tons of chairs available. By noon, most of them had been taken. The wave pool is fun for a little while. I do wish there was a place for adults to just chill out in the water, like a regular pool. The lazy river was very nice. It was so relaxing and calm. I loved the music being played and the atmosphere. The worst part of the whole trip was when we tried to get food on Monday. We went to the Mexican place near the wave pool. There weren't that many people in front of us in line (maybe 10?) and it took over an hour. You could tell it was because they didn't have many people working there and those people that were there were slow. In general, all the staff that we came into contact with were really friendly. The first day we got there around 2pm and were not charged to park, however we had to park at the very end and edge of the lot. The main complaints were the coffee shop and Mexican food place. Wonderful experience! Still mostly like I remember it in the 90s. Cool to see it as an adult! My kids (10 and 8) enjoyed it very much. It was their first visit, but it won't be the last!! We had to skip the water park this time. Kids loved Rolling River Log Flume, Thunder Canyon Rapids, Bumper Boats, Cork Screw, and some little kids rides, like frog hopper, butterfly swings and Krazy Koaster! Water park section was my favorite. The wave to the tubing down the slides. As far as space so we can lay down or sit. We are just too many humans sitting inches from another family like seals on a weekend . need more space Rollercoasters we're nice although I avoided the scary ones. Biggest negative. The food is so so so simple yet the staff is very young, slow and useless at times. They just stand there at times. It takes premade nachos about 15 minutes to make from order to pay out. When it should take about 2-5 minutes. Very very very slow staff. Management needs a better plan and execution. Expect a hour wait for food. Food price is not bad but for the quality you get. Not too good. I had nachos supreme. One table spoon of barbacoa beef. I was like wow. Had a cheeseburger at night. There was a ready to go chicken strip and fries tray and they literally removed the chicken off the fries and placed our premade and wrapped cheeseburger on top of the fries. Bread was hard and meat was so dry. $12.99. So quality is bad. Bring your own food snacks if you can. read more

Wonderful time with family at the water park and on the rollercoasters. The magic show was a win as usual - great presenter and engages the crowd and never disappoints in awing/confusing/flat out messing with our family. My youngest is all about the lazy river and antique cars while my oldest and wife are all about Stunt Pilot and Tremors. Stunt Pilot is a fast and fun ride that is so smooth but pushes you to high G's and inversion over and over again. The line moves very fast and is totally worth it. Food is a great price. The staff are nice. We were here during a lightning storm that shut down the park and we still feel like we got our money's worth. If you know you are coming buy early in the year for a lower price. And we always stay at the RV park across the freeway. (Well worth it for us to not drive back at night after the park.) read more

Went for mothers day only to walk around for 2 hours because all but 2 coasters were down for either repairs or maintenance. We get that these things happen but they should've prepped better for their planned maintenance. This park to too small to have a handful of rides down at once. I would've given 1 star if it wasn't for the GM refunding our ticket after explaining the frustration with paying for an experience we didn't get. Maybe when boulder beach opens it will feel worth the while when rides are down but this was a horrible experience for our first time going. I'm honestly nervous to spend a few hundred dollars to come back once tickets are full price becuase I would be mad if this happened when paying full price. I didn't have much as far as expectations went but they totally underdelivered this weekend. We will see if we decide to come back, not sure yet! read more

Went to the park for Memorial Day. Both the Waterpark and Amusement Park were open. The lines were short and quick and 5 dollar funnel cakes before 5 were a hit. The park was clean and the employees courteous. My only criticism was the short operating hours. We have been here multiple times and always have a good time. read more

This is a really fun theme park that I knew existed but didn't visit until 2020 for the first time (imagine that). We came here after being in lockdown for 4 months, which seems counterintuitive but the staff did a great job of keeping things clean (albeit at a time expense). Our kids had a wonderful time over our two day visit and months later still talk about it. Nobody got sick and much fun was to be had for much less than we typically pay at the Great Wolf Lodge, so I'd highly recommend it. read more

I've been to Silverwood twice now - once when my kids were younger, and then more recently on a road trip with my teenager - and I really can't think of a thing I don't like about it (other than the 7-hour drive to get there from Bellingham). At one end of the park is a water park with slides for every bravery level, two huge wave pools, and one of the most epic lazy rivers ever. Bonus points that there are adult beverages served at the park and you can float on the river and pretend you're in Cabo or something. If, of course, there was a river twisting and turning around downtown Cabo. (Okay, the drinks are a little sweet and a little weak...but still...Cabo!) At the other end of the park is the theme park with its epic roller coasters, a log ride, a kids' area, and several gift shops and restaurants sprinkled about. Since I was there with my adventurous teen, we headed straight for some of the "scary" rides and I enjoyed watching her from the ground as she twisted, turned, went upside down, and did all sorts of fun spine-twisting stuff I used to enjoy at her age too! We arrived later in the afternoon, so took advantage of their late-day 4pm entry which was only $28/person. Since it was a Friday, this gave us 6 hours of epic fun. We spent the first three hours at the waterslides (which, sadly, closed at 7pm even though it was a super hot day), then put on dry clothes and headed to the other end for the coasters. Along the way we stopped at one of their food booths, a burrito joint which was pretty good and surprisingly affordable considering the prices I've seen at other theme parks. Where to begin with this place. It's almost like they intentionally chose for every aspect of this place to run as inefficiently as possible. I'm guessing that the management is not much older than the teen staff because this place was ridiculous. If I knew then what I know now I would only have gone for 1 day instead of 2 because there was really no point in the second day. To start, it would have been nice to be able to purchase the parking pass online and then have lanes for that to move things along more quickly rather than everyone getting into a few lines to pay. I'm used to places having a no bag entry line to speed things along too. Otherwise you kind of feel like you're cutting when you pass by everyone who's getting all their bags checked. We also noted that although they say no outside food or drinks (only refillable bottles that are empty) that is clearly not the case. So many people had stuff out in the open, so it was clear that rule is not enforced AT ALL, so bring what you want honestly. We bought our passes on their website, but you're required to provide the credit card used to pay as well. Not sure what they would do if someone were gifted with passes. I found it odd that they also took your picture upon entry as no venue has ever done that to me before. They have bands you can apparently buy and add money to, but they need to get with the times and just have you add a credit card for charges. I'm not about to load an amount and then have to go through the hassle of getting the unused portion refunded or having to add more money. Just do it right in the first place. Because of these things it pretty much forces you to get a locker. They have areas that would accommodate additional seating, but they just don't. They intentionally don't provide ample tubes in order to get people to rent them instead. Other parks don't offer rentals and just have ample supplies on hand. If you're going to have shows you should do it every hour starting shortly after opening if you're actually trying to get people into that. The train ran regularly every hour so thankfully we had time one day to catch it, otherwise I'm not waiting around for almost an hour for the next one. It's big though so lots of people can get on. That part was corny, but so much fun. Levi really made it entertaining. For the most part you can expect to spend maybe an hour in line for one minute of fun. That's the problem these days - they allow too much capacity because greed is more important than the customer experience. We found that getting to the park shortly after opening and going to the water park side worked best. We could get on a few rides quickly before lines got too long. The lazy river is not lazy or enjoyable at all. They need to have a tube drop off and pick up spot because otherwise everyone is just waiting to see if they can spot someone getting rid of theirs so they can snag it. The one time a line is needed and they don't have it. The problem is that it's so low small children can stand up in it and they allow people on the lazy river without a tube. So instead of just floating along and relaxing you have children swimming under the water with no regard for anyone else. The adults were no better just rushing through walking so they push you along with them and constantly bump into you. That was something I expected to be able to enjoy for a while when I decided to come here, but after two laps we were done because it was not a lazy river at all, just a crowded wading pool. We left the park first day and came back after 5pm (there were no parking attendants anymore so why did I need to keep my receipt?). We headed over to the amusement park side and that late the lines were not so bad (inclement weather may have helped a bit) so we were able to get on several rides. It's pretty much roller coasters or kiddie stuff. When we returned the next day we just wanted to try out another couple water slides we didn't get to the day before. Here's a thought - keep everyone completely outside the park until opening rather than creating more chaos. We would already be lined up so no need to go anywhere until it's actually time to get in. It was early and the amusement park side was busier than the evening before so glad we went on pretty much everything then. The employees were so bad too, waiting sometimes 15+ minutes after getting the last riders off before letting the next ones on (and no, there were no issues, just teens being terrible at their jobs). So that kind of blew it for us at that point for going on more rides. My suggestion is to not display prizes that you don't have (and you should give out the display ones until you get more). We decided to eat at the buffet which was not great. Not many options for a buffet (hot dogs or pulled pork) even for sides. Plus only ketchup, mustard, and relish for hot dogs. Your prices are too high. The theme park wrokers look like they are going to fall over and die from heat exhaustion. I seen some unsafe feature of the theme park rides. Looked like the employee could fall from the rotten wood platform they were standing on at any time. There is numerous rides that looked like they were unsafe and silverwood didnt care. You need to be better for your employees SILVERWOOD . Sure you have water and misting machines and sometimes fans. Reality of it is none of that is actually working because these things are not in proper condition or in proper placement for them to be beneficial to your employees. There are permanently placed umbrella in cement at several rides that DO NOT give employees shade because they cant be moved with the suns' movement throughout the day. This is VERY IN HUMANE AND DISCUSTING conditions for these employees. I know im not the only one that sees this during a visit that lasts all day long . After looking at reviews for Silverwood Theme Park it appears that there is long gaps between years in reviews and it definitely looks like Silverwood Theme Park Pays someone to delete bad reviews. Silverwood pulls in 85 billion dollars a year and cant manage to accommodate there employees that literally look like they're dieing . Way to go Silverwood. Theme parks always have long lines, but these seemed particularly long. Twice we waited over 1/2 an hour in line just for them to close the ride. I understand safety is the priority but it was frustrating. The Canyon ride seemed annoying as we timed it. 2-3 minutes between rafts and only 4 rafts running. Definitely no safety need required much of a gap. I'm guessing maybe they just don't have the staff to run both lines. On the other hand, parking was only $5 and they have an unlimited BBQ for $18. Love this park. It's cheaper than D*sneyland and Wo*ld. It's the perfect 2 day park. Water park on one side, amusement park on the other. The park opens at 11am. That means you need to be there parking at 10-10:30 to get in line to get in. The lines moved quick. Excellent staff moving people in to have fun. Parking is $5.00 all day. If you come back after 4 or 5pm parking was FREE. The ice cream shop opens at noon. People are standing or sitting in line in the shade waiting for that place to open. Get in line so you won't be there for an eternity. Have some fun folks! Be prepared to stand in a line to get on a ride. It's not gonna be long. Play games on your phone, people watch, count how many people have on hats....or purple hats...or tie dye hats....or squid hats... A positive attitude change is everything. Don't forget to get your elephant ear snack! Yum! The magic show was a nice change of pace. Order your pizza and be entertained. Dinner and a show! A mini-California Adventure and waterpark, all in one place! There aren't the Disney themes and characters walking around, but still a very fun place for all ages. The day we went was a bit cloudy and windy, so the kids couldn't fully the enjoy the waterpark without chattering teeth. However, I get the feeling they would like that better than the rides, which had long lines caused by the few staff and constant equipment issues. I can't imagine trying to come here on a busy weekend, as the wait times would likely be over an hour. Another good thing about this place is the food is decent, not over-priced, with huge portions. Especially the ice cream, where "one-scoop" is the size of a softball (maybe bigger!). The chicken strips and fries were decent too. Alcohol is over-priced but when is it not (and at least they have it). You can bring in your own sealed drinks and food, but no hard case igloos. read more

What an amazing family theme park brought our granddaughter and her friend. We opened and closed the park and had a blast. The staff at this park is all beyond kind and truly seem to enjoy their jobs and each other. Every time we saw them pass each other on the streets the would stop and greet each other and give fist bumps or high fives. The prices do not gauge and are extremely reasonable, everything is so clean, I cannot believe this park has been open for more than 30 years. I love also all of the shade available, and the seating areas, weather it is the border gardens, benches, or rocking chairs. It is a very friendly, welcoming, hometown, safe, family atmosphere far people of all ages. We will be back for sure!! read more

It was our first time at Silverwood and there were for sure some charming, fun things we loved and a few frustrating things that made our visit still quite fun, but I think dampened it slightly.  Overall, it was a super fun day.  I found it was hard as a first timer to find helpful info about a visit, so this is meant to help for planning as well! 1.        We arrived around 10:30 for 11am opening, I think that was fine, but entrance through the parking lot was very slow going and no one is there to direct you, so that leads to a little chaos.  Parking is $10 2.        We rented a cabana for the waterpark, so we headed off to check-in for that while our 2x 13 year olds ran off to hit a ride or two. 3.        Cabana check-in was GREAT.  Staff were helpful and so kind.  Worth the money to have a place to lock things up, and just relax. 4.        VIP wristbands for the bars are amazing...more to come on that. 5.        There is NO CASH in the park.  That also meant no tipping at the bars, restaurants, etc.  I like to tip my bartenders, but we were told they are very strict, so don't even try. 6.        We went off to the park, knowing we would come back to the cabana once it got too hot to be out of the water. 7.        It had been about an hour and our kids had been on ONE ride.  This ended up being a theme for the day.  The lines are SLOW.  Not that long, just really very slow moving 8.        We waited a very long time for them to get through the Tremors line and as we watched the line creep along, it became clear why.  They were sending each car with multiple empty seats.  In the end there is no one managing the line, pushing single riders through or even just making sure seats are full.  The kids are doing the best they can, but the lack of line management was frustrating.  9.        CUTTING IN LINES!  I was shocked by how much line cutting there was.  One mom and kid ahead of us in Tremors line had 12 people join them as the line moved along.  A group of teens ahead of us had 6 people join them in line.  In the end, it seems this is just how people wait in line here.  They send one ahead and then they join.  It just makes the lines move so slowly and they should think about that. 10.  Food is fast, but super generic.  Nothing felt good or bad, but it was all hot and came out quickly.  11.  Aftershock...our kids got in line 3 separate times and it broke down each time and they had to get out of line.  It wasted a ton of their time. 12.  The train!  So cute, but for our age kids, they were bored.  Maybe skip it with older kids.  13.   Waterpark!  Ok, here is where it went very well and also very badly.  I am so glad we got the cabana!  But there were some hard parts.  Again, the lines are WILD.  Our kiddos waited almost an hour for each of the rides.  In the end, in 4 hours they did 3 slides.  Again, so...much...cutting the line! 14.  The changing rooms are so gross.  No cleaning up the floor, the bathroom stalls or anything else.  In the end it was pretty gross and when water is everywhere that gets messy.  At the end of the day there was a pair of dirty underwear sitting on the ground for multiple hours that never got picked up.  15.  Food service to the cabanas was very fast and so easy.  Not a lot of variety, but fine. 16.   The lines at the bars are also wildly slow.  We watched someone wait over 30 minutes for a drink.  There is also a "21 and over" area at the swim up bar that has signs everywhere "21 and over only" but we found tons of kids sitting at the bar which was contributing to the line moving slowly. 17.   Closed rides are not on the website (that I could find) so unfortunately, the ride I was most excited about, Timber Terror, was closed when we arrived and I was BUMMED.  I love a wooden roller coaster and this was what I was most looking forward to. 18.  The rides were fun...nothing mind blowing, but the kids had fun!  Tremors is fast and LOUD.  I liked it!  The kids did all the coasters they could and were happy!   All in all, we had a good day.  I wouldn't feel compelled to spend multiple days here just because it didn't give me the warm fuzzy feeling that you get from other parks.  The employees are not overly friendly, and there are 100% not enough of them.  I know it is hard to find people right now, so I get it.  I would say be prepared for a lot of standing around and waiting.  But, if you can get past that, it is a fun place to spend the day. read more

They do a lot right at Silverwood. Friendly people, a nice water park, some great rides. The issues are, most of the food is horrendous. A bunch of fried crap and the all you can eat bbq is just plain gross. But what bugs me most is now they are cashless. I don't like this one but. First, money is legal tender and to not accept it should be illegal.. but I have to carry my credit card and if I lose it I'm screwed. You guys need to accept cash!!!!! read more

Avoid Silverwood and save your money! We came three years ago and had a great time with family and friends. Completely different place. The new main attraction on the TV commercials, FB page, and other advertising isn't even operational and hasn't been since it's inception. The kids standing outside of the attraction will tell you they are 'hoping it'll be open by tomorrow.' Yet the still consistently advertise it. I can get over the lie about the ride but what I can't get over is the lack of staffing and 40+ min lines for absolutely EVERYTHING you do. To get a drink takes 40+ min, food an hour+, rides 30-60 min. It's ridiculous and ruining our fun. You might get 3-4 rides in if you show up when they open (factoring in food/drink wait times). This was meant to be the last fun trip of the summer for my family and is an utter disappointment. The $400 dollars for our 2 days, several hundred more for food/drinks/merch/gas/camping etc was huge waste of money...and most importantly my families TIME. read more

We love this theme park, but if there was one thing I wish management would address, it would be the food service. It's cool that they hire a lot of kids for summer help. But, they desperately need leadership. I can't believe the park hasnt figured out that they're loosing money buy not getting the food out. Here's a couple examples: We waited literally over an hour at the bar of the lazy river waiting for drinks that are literally poured from a slurpy machine. There were 3 employees in there who seemed to be panicked and tripping over themselves but when it came to getting the drinks out, the were weirdly confused. Again, waited over an hour at the Mexican food stand in Boulder Beach. I was able to watch as the employees, who were five teenagers. They were running into each other and completely unorganized. No manager in sight the whole time. One kid was busy walking around running his hands through his hair like Rico Suave, flirting with the female employees, and then touching the food. After waiting for over an hour, I was served cold nachos. This wasnt because the park was just busy. It's because every food service place needs a manager who will keep people organized and on task. Again we love this park and we'll be back, but man, the food service is absolutely nuts. read more

Go during a weekday for less crowds and shorter lines for the rides. Lots of parking and friendly staff is what makes your enjoyment at the park even better. Firstly I want to say that the new ride Test Pilot is the best one in the park. It's so awesome I rode it three times! It's incredibly smooth and has some great thrills. My son enjoys the water park side the best, the wave pool in particular is his favorite- not much of a thrill seeker, ha! There's something for everyone to do here, our family always has a good time here. Cons- some of the food stands close early in the day which is a bummer. Also- there's no signage anywhere directing how to get to ride entrances. And there's only maps at the entrance and never any employees walking around to ask directions. A lot of our time on the roller coaster side was spent wandering around trying to find ride entrances and then finally trying to find a map. These guys could definitely take a note from Disneyland and put up some signs with arrows. Also- the music is way too loud, I heard a number of people complaining about it. Trying to have a conversation can be difficult- especially on the coaster side where it's crazy bluegrass banjo music. My father who's had a back surgery was really wishing there was a shuttle from the parking lot to the entrance, it can be a long walk and certainly at the end of the day it would be nice. Overall it's a good time, with a few tweaks it could be better. Don't forget to buy your tickets online before going for a significant discount! read more

We ate at the High moon saloon for lunch after visiting that park. After spending $71.00 on a lunch that consisted of an uneatable sandwich, a bag of chips, and a drink I left hungry. The family-owned aspect of Silverwood really shines. You can tell how much they love the park by how meticulous it is. The cast members are so excited and helpful and the rides just keep getting better and better. Add in having Scarywood to look forward to each fall and you'll see why this place is so popular! I grew up going here in the early 90s and enjoy it just as much now. read more
