Once again, Sima has outdone herself (which I didn't think possible). I was leaving on trip to Europe for a month and about 2 weeks prior, I walked in with quite a few things, including 2 gorgeous dresses that needed to be hemmed but that have multiple layers of fabric and are made of very delicate material. I procrastinated getting my tux for a wedding and Sima was able to get my Tux ordered and super altered last minute.

I was hesitant to leave this review but I don't want anyone to experience what I experienced. I was referred to Sima's by a reputable bridal shop locally. The second I walked in I felt uneasy. I stated I was Afghan, like her and I got no emotion. I continued to tell her that I got a dress from LA that I needed altered. She told me to try it on. I proceeded to tell her I want to make the dress more modest. She said "we're not in Afghanistan". I asked, what do you mean by that. That I don't have to cover up. I said I don't care about people, I like to be covered. By covered I mean covering my chest and adding sleeves or straps.. I told her I couldn't afford her pricing ($600 for simple mesh sleeves), respectfully and she started to get defensive and thought I was saying she wasn't worth it. I left the shop uncomfortably and kindly and she aggressively pulled me back inside. I said there was a difference in someone not affording a service versus not respecting your time and quality of work. I didn't like the way she treated me, was unprofessional, and she practically begged me to lower her prices and leave my dress and in her own words not ruin her relationship with the bridal shop. I have worked in customer service for over 5 years and I have yet to come across someone so blatantly disrespectful, aggressive, and unprofessional. I am trying to pick up my dress today during working hours and she is with a customer. I asked for my dress back and she said she started working on it. At least she did the courtesy of letting me pick up my dress. I will pay top dollar for both quality and customer service. Especially for an occasion where I simply want to look elegant for my sister's wedding. And no she did not start working on it, she lied. read more

THIS IS A REAL REVIEW FROM A REAL CUSTOMER. READ THIS ENTIRE REVIEW to understand why you don't want to go anywhere else. I had this emergency situation with my company's uniform (it did not arrive on time) and was forced to modify all the older pieces I had in order to get back to work. It was imminent that my pieces be ready before 11 AM Thursday in order for me to catch a flight later in the afternoon so that I could go back to work on time. Some of the pieces have extensive work to be done, including a special treatment that my uniform required. So, not only Sima produces them on time and before my deadline the night before, but she also had to drive to LA and back to install that special detail. Then waited for me until 9 PM to come pick it up. The garments were done within the finest European tailoring standards and certainly surpassed any and all quality that I have seen to date. Then she completely repaired a suit jacket of mine that the main back seam had fuzz and had been broken. The collar had been shrunk because of bad dry cleaning and she was able to repair that as well. In addition to that she also purchased and tailored a shirt for me for my wedding.
