I took 3 garments in. 2 sundress that she quoted $39 when I tried them on.. then said it would be $5 more per dress.. because she was removing pockets... which doesn't make sense.. they were just cut off! One of the sun dresses was taken in more that what was pinned and now is tight and doesn't hang well the other is better.. but on both the stitching under the arms is very sloppy... I had the back of the pictured jumpsuit taken down... it looks good, but they didn't finish it... has a pin and an opening that needs to be hand stitched... which I will do... but, I paid $53 and I need to work on it... they are new owners.. Steve & Karen did an amazing job tailoring my very challenging couture wedding dress. I bought an Oscar de la Renta silk organza dress at a sample sale and it needed some real structural work so that I could even put it on. Super Tailoring did an awesome job expanding the ribcage of this complex dress so it would fit and you could not even see the stitches. They also built a bustle and refit the trumpet shape over my legs. Not only that but they gave great advice on just how fitted the dress should be for a strapless and I didn't have to yank the dress up at any point. Super thankful for the amazing work they did and all at a very fair price. Pro tip: Like any quality tailor they need to see you and the piece in question to give you a fair price and timeline... so just go in person to discuss your item with them vs trying to call. read more

This was my first time going to this tailoring shop and I was open to giving them a chance based on the FEW positive reviews they had on Yelp. I wish I hadn't.. I needed a bridesmaid dress hemmed and the shoulder straps taken up because they were too loose. I picked my dress up and was not prompted to try it on (lesson learned, I always should). I tried it on at home that night and discovered a snag across the chest and one strap was not taken up to be even with the other. I had already left town for the wedding I was in, so I was unable to take it back to be fixed. When bringing the dress in after the wedding and a messy tacking job, my goal was to discuss the problem and find a fair solution. I was met with immediate defensiveness and yelling. I had approached the woman calmly and with photo evidence of the dress from the day that I picked it up. She would not listen or look at the evidence I was showing her, she yelled in my face, took the dress and got other customers involved in the issue, and ended by pushing me multiple times to leave while I was trying to solve the problem. It was never my intention for this issue to turn into such an ordeal, I just wanted a refund for the damages done at this shop. I did end up receiving the money back for the straps ONLY ($32 out of the $92 I paid in total, YIKES) and a "never come back!" (don't worry, I won't). The damages to the front of the dress were never acknowledged or solved despite my efforts. I hate to take business away from people or even give this review my time but after what I experienced i would not want someone to go through the same. I urge you to look elsewhere. These are not respectful or fair business owners who can own up to their mistakes and they were quite frankly downright rude. read more

I was in the area and needed alterations. For starters, I am accustom to $10 maybe 12 hems. NOT 23! Plus they requested cash only for their tax break but wouldn't give me a break on price. Then it was their quality. If I could....i would give them 0 stars. Horrible customer service. Made my dress way too long that it dragged on the ground by A FEW INCHES! Then when I took it back they told me its my fault for asking for it to be longer and that I would have to pay again. NEVER GO HERE!!! read more

I brought them a brand new $1600 motorcycle race suit to have the sleeves taken in. This is a full leather suit contoured to the body for protection in highspeed crashes. They confirmed that they would do the job for $130. I agreed to have them do the work and paid upfront per their request. The end product was disappointing to say the least. Yes the sleeves had been taken in, but not contoured to reflect the new length and shape. This created too much material at the wrists...the same place where full gauntlet gloves need to easily fit over in order to secure them properly. They don't now. Secondly, each seam at the elbow and knee joints of the suit, (remember this was a brand new suit. NEVER worn other than inside the house once), has Kevlar re-enforcement pieces sewn on. I noticed that the right elbow's Kevlar piece was missing and took it back to Super Tailoring thinking that they would just sew the piece back on and apologize for the mistake. Nope. They flat out lied to my face that the Kevlar never existed on my brand new suit...Even as I showed them that all the other joints still had the Kevlar patches in place. Makes perfect sense to have one missing, right? Now I have missing protective components on an ill-fitting race suit, that both compromise my safety, and it will cost me $180 at competent tailor to fix their mistakes. Never again. read more

I came in to get measurements so I could go suit shopping, and an old Asian lady told me it would cost $10. At first I was shocked that she would charge me for 30 seconds of her time, then I told her I only have a card, to which she replied cash only. So this tailor shop won't do measurements for you unless you come with cash. Tip for this business: sometimes doing something small for free will bring repeat business in the future. Now I won't come to this place even if I do have cash and other alteration needs. I won't recommend this place, and I will even discourage people from going here. Recently stopped to get 2 of my suits tailored. Went through all the measurements...so far so good...I see the owner writing a bunch of numbers down: 24, 18, 32, 12, and so on, and I'm thinking "Great! This guy is writing everything down." Well, turns out, those numbers were the PRICES for the alterations. Ok, admittedly, I had no idea what 2 suits cost to tailor, but I guess there was a bit of sticker shock to realize that the total cost was over $150. Ok, I'm in S Orange County...they promised to be done in a week. Sounds good. Week later I go to pick them up and the wife of the owner is on the phone when I get there and she is the only one there. She kinda reached out as if to take my ticket and proceeds to just hand me my stuff, all the while continuing to talk on the phone. Kinda off-putting a bit. I actually wanted to try the stuff on (you know, to see if my $150 investment was worth it) and if necessary, get them to modify things, but no, off I was. Got home...tried stuff on...and it looks ok. I definitely didn't walk out with the tailored "looks like the suit was made for me" that I was hoping for, but it was a drastic improvement. In summary, when you are more concerned with the price of each item vs getting the measurements correct...that's a bit odd. When you just hand me my stuff because you are too busy to hang up a personal call...that's a bit odd also. But the work was ok, and looks like it was done with quality and care, which is why they get 3 stars. read more

I just had two pair of pants altered and needed them ready promptly for a business conference. They completed the pants on-time and looked great but when I got home and removed the plastic cover they had a foul odor similar to the smell inside the store. I didn't have the time to wash them prior to packing so I'm now at the conference wearing stink pants. I'd give them a 4 star but this is a little upsetting having to wear pants with limited options. read more

I lost weight and needed to have some suits taken in. To get 6 suits taken in cost well over $400. I discovered that the pants fit poorly in the back making them look like a diaper. Not at all wearable. I took them back to Super Tailoring and the tailor said I had not requsted to have the crotch taken in, like I'm suppose to know how to tailor pants. When I complained about spending hundreds of dollars for suits to be altered that I can't wear, the tailor did not offer to fix the problem or even discount the additional work he should have at least suggested in the first place. He wanted to charge me another $18 per pair of pants to fix the problem. I felt like I had already paid a lot of money and did not get what we originally agreed on, which was to alter the suits so they would fir me properly. Had I known that it was going to cost the additional money, I wouldn't have had the alterations done in the first place. Bummer! Not so Super a place. read more

They requested payment upfront for a jacket alteration. When I came back to pick up my jacket, the man handed it to me in a plastic bag like I was supposed to just take it and leave without trying it on, or like he'd rather me not look at it. The alteration part came out nice and it fits good, but the sewing workmanship was a bit poor. Obviously hurried. Luckily I have a sewing machine and was able to reinforce it myself. The altered seams were nowhere near as strong as how the jacket came originally. There was also a dark stain on the inside of my jacket, like from a dirty workbench or something. Shop looked pretty messy. Price was reasonable though. read more

The work here is mediocre, and IMO, overpriced for the work that's actually done. First, it felt inconsistent from piece to piece, depending on who's doing the alterations. One pair of suit pants fits very snugly with a slightly too-tight taper, and another pair is just fine. Also, I had to pay out of pocket to get some shirts fixed that had been made too tight here. The work can feel incomplete for what you pay. That's the biggest thing. For example, I've paid $35-40 to get shirts taken in, or to get them darted, but the sleeves weren't slimmed to match. I remember once asking about the sleeves, and the tailor said, "Oh, they're fine." When I brought the shirts to another tailor, he said, "The sleeves are too wide and should have been slimmed when the rest of the shirt was altered. Now you have to spend extra money on me to get these shirts fixed." Which pretty much sums up my experience with "Super" Tailoring. I brought a lot of clothes here over the period of a year or so, and I often felt like I was over-paying, with the work costing full price and being half-done (e.g., slimmed shirts and jackets, but the sleeves are not slimmed). This is why I stopped coming here. read more

Been going here for years. I started going here when I was in middle school my mom took me there to get almost every pair of my jeans hemmed because i'm a little shortie. Also even better with formal attire. I'm also petite so it was always hard for me to find a formal dress that fit me well. One dress I had was about $300 and very good quality and pretty much altered the whole dress to fit me like a glove! She did in a short time, very inexpensive and does an amazing job. I recently had two pairs of pants hemmed and had one leg of each pair come undone completely. I had only worn the pants a couple of times. The owners told me that I would be charged full price to have them fix the poor quality they did in the first place. They said they only guarantee their work for ONE WEEK!! Needless to say. I have been a customer here for many many years and have had many different things altered: short dresses, long dresses, jeans, shorts, swimsuits, leggings, and more. I am a VERY picky person and will literally have her make centimeter changes as she alters and she is always extremely patient with me and does what I ask. Good job! I went to another tailor in town they want &60 per slacks to have my slacks to be taken in. All it needed was to take in the waist a bit as well as the rear side of my slacks. Karen charged less than that for my 3 JCrew slacks. They had it done a day prior plus she knew what I needed to pick up before I gave her my pick up slip.
