I believe the dental hygienist's name is Sonya and she was magnificent with my daughter so developmentally appropriate and really bonded with my daughter and made her feel safe during her cleaning. We just finished our first dental exam for my daughter who is almost 2. We had such an amazing experience with the whole staff, and especially Dr. Nina! You can tell they care deeply about their patients, and the whole team went out of their way to make the dentist fun! I remember going to the dentist when I was young was always dreadful! The smell, the bright light in your eyes, hearing the drilling while the saliva suction was giving you cotton mouth and the worse part was at the end trying to drink water and looked like you drooled all over yourself... Had a dental appointment today for both my children. My oldest already has routine down and loves going to the dentist and never has a problem with feeling welcomed during her visits especially since she's watching a movie as she lays while getting work done. My youngest has had less than a handful of visit that he still gets a little nervous with the routine and always have to be with him. Today was such a great day that he was not nervous at all! Ms. Olga was extremely patient with him and explained everything in detail for him to understand and feel comfortable. He even cooperated with taking X-rays although he looked a little confused how that all worked. She showed him all the tools and how it was going to feel in his mouth even though it has been done before it definitely put him in a comfort zone and was able to recall what was going to happened and wasn't going to be bad. The end was the best as he was overwhelmed with rewards for doing so well. While we had to wait for his sister to finish he sat to play video games! It didn't even feel like a trip to the dentist and more like a trip for a treat! The whole staff there is amazing, from the moment you check in all the way to when the doctor gives their final evaluation. We have only been to this dentist three times, but so far, I could not be more pleased. My daughter first went when she was struggling with all doctors' offices due to a series of illnesses. They were so patient and kind. Her second visit, they did a little cleaning, and she did well. The last time, they were again super patient. They showed her the tools they were using and used them on her hand gently so she knew what to expect. They are good about explaining things to me in terms of keeping her teeth healthy. She loves the waiting area, the stickers, and the little gifts. She has left with a smile every time, and I know our next visit will be successful as well! Wow! Dr Nina and her staff totally worth more than 5 stars!!! Back story, my daughter and I have had poor luck finding a dentist that has been caring, kind, and patient. Most recently we had a horrible experience at another office where they tried to tell me my daughter had 5 cavities. I first called this office asking a ton of questions and Stacy was absolutely amazing, so patient with me, listened to all my concerns and answered all my questions. I went in to schedule the appt and get the new patient paperwork filled out, and she was just as nice in person as in the phone. I brought my daughter in for the appt and she walked in and says WOW, bc this place is geared for kids. The first assistant (I'm sorry I didn't catch all the names) that helped us, gave us a tour of the place, and then explained what to expect during the visit. Then her and another assistant teamed up to get X-rays. The pictures they got where so much clearer than at the previous places we went to. Then Dr Nina. She talked to my daughter about her bunnies (stuffed animals that we brought bc she was scared) and really made her feel more comfortable. She included my daughter when they counted the teeth, and even explained the X-rays and what we were seeing to both my daughter and I. This entire experience has literally brought me to tears bc of how amazing everyone was. Even though my insurance doesn't cover this office, I am going to continue coming here for the piece of mind and quality of care my daughter will receive. Oh and as far as the cavities, she has 2, not 5, which makes me feel as a parent even better to have gotten a second and even third opinion. Thank you Dr Nina and your staff!! read more

I love this Dental office... from the friendly staff, cool hands on entertainment to the quality work they provide. This place was the only facility my son that is now 24 and back in his elementary years was comfortable receiving his dental care from. As of today I have a 9 year old daughter who has had issues of feeling uncomfortable in a few dental offices... that I had no choice but to drive from San Francisco to take her to this dental office for her dental needs. She had the best experience and looks forward to going to her visits. We are very happy with the care and results, this will continue to be her dentist and down the path Orthodontist. My daughter is literally in love with this office and it's staff. When your child asks when she gets to go back to the dentist you know you have picked the right place. The entire staff is so friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is a "Space" theme, from the point you enter you go through a fun light up entryway, entering the Spaceship. We have moved to the Antelope Valley, and will continue to drive over an hour for appointments based on how comfortable they have made my child. read more

My 5 year old had to get some extensive work done so our regular dentist recommended I bring her to a Pediatric dentist. I'm so glad we found the spaceship dentist! Been coming here for nine years and wouldn't change anything. Whether orthodontics or general dentistry, they're super nice, professional, caring and quite fairly priced. When my daughter was much younger, she was really problematic about stuff like extractions or cleaning. Every single time, the dentist was patient and considerate of her fear and helped her work through it. The only reason I even took off a star is because their orthodontic office smells like b.o. Yeah. Body odor. For the last couple years I dread coming here because it smells funky. Like the Febreeze commercials, they've gone "nose-blind". Speaking of Febreeze, they need to buy some. I was DREADING having to take my two year old to the dentist for the first time - especially since he was going to need xrays. Turns out, I was worried for nothing! He was thrilled to be walking into a space ship, first of all. Not only did the toys, video games and the tv's on the ceiling over the chair keep him distracted, but the staff was incredible. I had to take my son in for a semi-emergency visit on one of their super busy days, but they fit him into their completely booked schedule and were so nice about it. Every member of the staff was fantastic, from the front office staff, to the dental technicians, to Dr. Raza. The only time my son even fussed was when it was time to leave! But having the blow up space shuttle that he got with his name on it definitely helped! read more

This place is incredible! I only wish I had a dentist like this when I was a kid. My child absolutely loves this place! The inside looks like you're in a space ship. They have video game stations, tooth-brushing stations, tv's above the dental chairs with wireless headphones for the kids to listen to the movie that's playing. They give the kids really cool stuff to take home. They spend time with the kids & teach them all about dental hygiene. I'm so happy to say my say my daughter loves the dentist! I drive all the way from Calabasas to Simi Valley because my son loves Dr. Nina & the space ship. Also the computer games & movies they have when they are doing his cleaning. I hate to write such negative reviews but this Office really upset me. The Environment is very cool. You really do feel like you are in a "space ship".. this was why I choose the location... it was my 4 year old sons 1st real dental visit so I wanted it to be the "funnest" experience for him. The dentist and the assistant were REALLY GREAT. (So there is a plus there) Great Bedside manner with my son. I called previously to ask the EXACT Out of Pocket for the initial visit. I was informed by the front office that the first visit would include x-rays, an exam, and a cleaning. I was given a specific amount since I was paying cash and not billing ANYTHING through insurance. I've worked in the dental field for 3 years previously... I understand that an out of pocket cost can be tricky to determine when insurance is involved but when someone is paying CASH for a visit there should not be any confusion. Needless to say I was given a Price for the visit but at time of check out that price was not honored. It was a lot more than what was discussed. On top of that they could not fit in a cleaning at that time... I literally spent an hour in the office to have xrays and an exam. My advice... Maybe get prices in writing emailed or faxed to you before time of appointment... and since the front office doesn't sound like they know what they are doing.. Maybe a PRE AUTH for any treatment should be requested. read more

My 6 & 3 year olds are terrified of the dentist we have been several times with crying and restraining involved it absolutely tears my heart out therefore we don't go as we should we just dread it. This office is fabulous! We took my grandson here for care and both the front and back office staff were truly wonderful. We paid cash for our visit and the front staff helped us with a discount plan and explained all charges thoroughly to us. The dentist and assistant were just so kind and caring with my grandson who is 3. They were patient and really went the extra mile.
