These comments refer only to their online presence. I have never visited the physical location for this company. I have only access their online presents, that is, their website. I am totally blind and have been searching for a Tissot silen-T watch since mine died recently. This is the best watch I've ever had as a blind person. So, I was excited to see it available on their website. I was willing to buy it site unseen (pun intended) from their website and proceeded to do so. Their website sent me to Shopify to complete the sale. When trying to complete the sale I put in all my information, including my credit card information, but was unable to enter my shipping address. I found this puzzling. So, I called them. First time I called I got no answer. The second time I called I spoke to a female employee. She said that she would have to check with the Tissot rep. I found this odd because the website looks like the inventory is theirs not Tissot's. They said they would call me back. I did not receive a call back, so, the next day I called them, again. This time a female employee, I suspect it was the same person, told me that I was in luck because the TSA rep was in their store. I don't know why that was important, but, she said hold on and went to speak to him. She came back on the line and told me that the rep from Tissot told her that these watches had not been produced in 26 years. I knew that they were discontinued but I don't believe it was 26 years ago as I have only been blind for 25 years. And I have bought two of these watches within the last 15 years. The ones I bought, I purchased new, from Kay jewelers. The female employee told me that she didn't even know they had a Shopify presence. She also said they don't have those watches. So, all in all, if you're trying to do business with them go to their physical location and maybe they can help you. Obviously, trying to deal with them over the phone with their website is a total waste of your time. I was definitely unimpressed and disappointed. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at Simon D Jewelers. I left the store crying. I visited right when they opened to have a gold ring weighed and the stones tested to see if they were real. As a young woman in her early 20s, this was my first time ever visiting a jewelry store. I simply wanted basic information and guidance to understand its value. A close friend had recommended this store and spoke highly of their service, so I went in with high expectations. When I asked about weighing and testing the ring, Simon (the owner) initially implied he couldn't help. After I mentioned a friend had recommended them, I was questioned about who my friend was and where I got the ring, which immediately felt uncomfortable. When the owner looked at the ring, he repeatedly asked, "What do you want to do with it? Are you trying to sell it?" I explained honestly that I didn't know yet -- I just wanted to understand its value first. He responded very sternly, "We buy gold here." I apologized and said I didn't realize that was one of their services. Instead of explaining, the tone quickly became impatient and hostile. The owners voice was hot-tempered, which made me feel talked down to and embarrassed. The interaction was so uncomfortable that I became visibly emotional and ended up CRYING in the store -- something that should never happen during a simple customer service visit. He continued pressing me about if I had the intention of selling. His wife then told me they didn't want to give out "free information" unless I intended to sell to them. To be fair, his wife did speak to me more kindly and calmly, but reinforced that Simon is very busy and really only wants to help if you're looking to sell. I understand I was not a priority since I'd never done business with them before, but basic courtesy shouldn't depend on whether someone is making an immediate sale. Weighing gold and testing stones are quick, standard services that most jewelers provide. I came in respectfully asking for help and could have been a future customer, but instead felt unwelcome and judged. To make matters worse, they quoted me a price which I later learned was far below its actual value. Overall, I would not recommend this business. Big spenders get smiles -- everyone else gets attitude. read more

I've just left this establishment, absolutely stunned. I walked in, with a watch that needed to be resized, and a bracelet (which I purchased from them) to be repaired. I met with I believe to be the owner. I asked if he could repair the bracelet, and then asked about resizing the watch- did it need to be resized internally in the band or a link removed. The owner proceeded to blast me for being rude, which I absolutely was not, for asking these questions of him. I was absolutely expecting to be charged for his time, and materials, no freebies. He said I was rude by not walking in and asking him for a price? I told him I was there, as a repeat customer of small business asking for the advice of a small business owner, never expecting to do anything but pay for his services. I gathered my belongings, and told him as I walked out: Good luck, business is obviously down, but I'll take my business where it is appreciated. So good luck Mr. Jerk, your $2 million building housed with much more in inventory will be closing soon enough. My personal advice, don't go near this place, the owner is an A-hole. read more

We would give a zero if possible. No cars in lot and no customers but the man behind the counter was extremely disinterested and very rude & condescending to us. We had gone in to ask about resizing a ring. When I asked if he could do it while we waited (daughter in town for two days) he became VERY defensive and said that "since we don't trust him, he would not do business with us ". Strange reaction from an innocent request .... Needless to say we are more than happy to take our business elsewhere. read more

Simon and Dani have been incredible. 11 years ago they sold us a necklace with matching earrings for our 25th wedding anniversary in their old location. Their service and at home atmosphere they provided was so memorable that over the years we would comment on it. We watched as their new showroom was being built and stopped in. Its as if 11 years had not gone by and we had been in last week. We purchased some beautiful hoop diamond earrings that I wear every day. I recently brought in a tennis bracelet that I had for years and Simon and Dani helped me design two bangles using the diamonds from my tennis bracelet. What a great jeweler! My wedding band broke and i was scared to drop it off to get it fixed. They had it done for me in 2 days. It's all fixed and shines so pretty. What a joy it was to get an amazing ring for my fiancée. They worked with me and helped me to custom design a ring (from scratch!) for her. I said "I want diamonds here" and they built it. I would not purchase from them anymore!! They told my husband a return would be "no problem" and that is also in bold on their receipt "returns within 5 days, no exceptions" so I went in within the allowed time expecting a full refund. Of course, they changed their return rules and added that anything "discounted"can only be exchanged. Convenient for them as nobody pays the full tag price. Bad business, not honest. Mediocre quality items. Won't be returning or recommending, in fact the opposite. Be prepared for all sales being final, no matter what they tell you!!!! I hope this helps others. read more
