I honestly think that Joe does a wonderful job deciding and helping clients with the choice of color and he is honest in how much lighter a person's color can get. My hair was lightened to a level that I wanted, and Joe gave me advice on how to maintain the salon's treatment before the next treatment. The salon's environment was very very busy when I came in, and I was happy to see all the customers that the salon could handle efficiently all at the same time. The hair stylists and colorist keep an eye out to prevent the bleach from over processing and I didn't feel like I was left stranded for a long time by the staff while my color was processing. No answer. 2 more months go by and I write her again explaining how I would really love to get my hair done by her and how I really didn't want to go anywhere else and if I'd be able to book her. Again no answer. Come to find out she blocked me. No explanation at all. A friend of hers was telling my friend that she blocked me because I made her feel uncomfortable telling her how I would like my hair. I've never heard of such thing before because anyone who goes to do their hair will tell the hair stylist how they would like their hair done. I was never rude or told her she needs to make it look like this. I just sent a picture and that was all. I don't understand what the issue was. I wrote the owner of the salon explaining the situation and she just told me she is sorry but she can't do anything because Paige just rents a chair. The moment I chose a different service (pro-addiction repair), the owner's demeanor changed. He repeatedly pushed his own treatment, undermined the one I selected, and was clearly annoyed that I didn't go along with what he wanted to sell. The haircut itself ended up far shorter than what I asked for. When I calmly pointed that out, instead of listening or taking any accountability, he became defensive and argumentative, insisting it was "shoulder length," and then made an inappropriate comment about my bra line to justify it. That is not just unprofessional--it's completely unacceptable. In the middle of my treatment, I was told to get up and pay "to make sure." That alone was insulting. It got worse--I was then left waiting while he attended to other clients, making it very clear that I was not a priority, despite being in the middle of a service. I have never been treated that way anywhere. The atmosphere in the salon reflected the same lack of professionalism. I could hear him raising his voice at employees, which created a tense, uncomfortable environment from start to finish. The message was obvious: if you don't choose the service he wants to sell, your experience will suffer. There was no respect, no accountability, and no basic professionalism--just pressure, dismissiveness, and inappropriate behavior. I will absolutely not be returning, and will be sure to share my experience with friends who have appointments booked.
