I've been a loyal client of "Delaqua Salon" for years and have always had great experiences, which is why this review is so disappointing to write. I recently went in for a Brazilian bikini wax with Lorena, and it was, without question, one of the worst salon experiences I've ever had. From the moment the appointment started, things felt off. She repeatedly opened and closed the treatment room door during my service, which made the experience feel uncomfortable and unprofessional. I'm used to being waxed by Irina, who always takes the time to prep the skin with powder, checks in throughout the appointment, and makes sure I'm as comfortable as possible. This experience was the complete opposite. Lorena was extremely rough and repeatedly pulled wax strips over the same sensitive areas again and again. The pain was unbearable. She apologized several times during the appointment, which made it clear that even she knew something wasn't going well. When I left the salon, I was in significant pain. It genuinely felt like the top layer of skin had been removed in parts of the treated area. I've had Brazilian waxes for years and understand that some discomfort is normal, but this was far beyond anything I've ever experienced. Unfortunately, this experience has completely eroded my confidence in booking with her again. I've also heard from others that this isn't the first time clients have had concerns about her services, which makes my experience even more concerning. I'm sharing this review because I've always had positive experiences at Delaqua Salon and hope management takes this feedback seriously. This was one of the most unprofessional and uncomfortable experiences I've had at any salon. What makes it worse is that I had been here three times before for the "organic caviar" treatment and was treated completely differently. The moment I chose a different service (pro-addiction repair), the owner's demeanor changed. He repeatedly pushed his own treatment, undermined the one I selected, and was clearly annoyed that I didn't go along with what he wanted to sell. The haircut itself ended up far shorter than what I asked for. When I calmly pointed that out, instead of listening or taking any accountability, he became defensive and argumentative, insisting it was "shoulder length," and then made an inappropriate comment about my bra line to justify it. That is not just unprofessional--it's completely unacceptable. In the middle of my treatment, I was told to get up and pay "to make sure." That alone was insulting. It got worse--I was then left waiting while he attended to other clients, making it very clear that I was not a priority, despite being in the middle of a service. I have never been treated that way anywhere. The atmosphere in the salon reflected the same lack of professionalism. I could hear him raising his voice at employees, which created a tense, uncomfortable environment from start to finish. The message was obvious: if you don't choose the service he wants to sell, your experience will suffer. There was no respect, no accountability, and no basic professionalism--just pressure, dismissiveness, and inappropriate behavior. Rana is amazing, I love how she cut my hair and styled it. I came this past July for a cut and blow dry, and I am very happy with the results. She's definitely an expert, and knew exactly how to treat my hair type. The salon is beautiful and I was even given an espresso to enjoy after I had my hair washed. I only had a wash, cut, and blow dry, so I cannot speak to the other services offered. I am sure however, based on how great this experience was, that the stylists here are all very skilled. read more

I have gone in the past with my 4 daughters and we all did organic caviar. I found the owner to be condescending but was happy with the treatment so I went back. They make up the prices ranging from $150 (probably a promotional price at the time ) and $400!!! I paid 250 for one daughter last week then just went to take my other daughter and they wanted to charge me $400!!! Now they lost business from the 5 of us. I'm not playing this game. OMG!! I finally made the time to go back to Delacqua Salon. You get treated like royalty there..besides the place being so beautiful, they're all master gurus @ their craft.. Today I decided to get a massage, because I was stressed out from the dentist, etc. O man, did I get the massage of my life!!!! Oksana is soooo unbelievably wonderful, sooo nice- it felt like home & heaven!!! It was hands-down the best, most vigorous massage of my life!!! :) Plus, they're having a special now for Mothers Day.. GO & GET PAMPERED!!!!! I would trust Gwen with my life. All kidding aside, I've only ever gone to Asian hair salons in the past for balayage because I wanted a colorist that had experience lifting dark hair without the orange brassiness that comes about sometimes, but after having such a great experience at Delacqua three months ago; I knew I found something special. I've moved out of Bensonhurst but this salon is worth the trek and is now my go-to. Apologies in advance for the long review. I have a medical condition that causes my nails to grow in painfully, especially in fingers that are dominant. This April, I had to have my index fingers, thumbs and middle fingernail surgically removed. The pain was just too much. I resigned myself to wearing bandaids to cover up my 5 nail-less fingers, and while it was nice to be pain-free, I felt really self conscious wearing bandaids in public all the time. Fast forward to this summer, my husband and I decided to get pedicures at Delacqua for his birthday. The tech that did my pedicure was Maria. What I noticed right away was that Maria is very gentle (my toenails can be painful also). She has a way of making you feel comfortable, and she's very kind. I mentioned my condition and she made a few recommendations. I loved the Pedi and I got really good vibes, so I decided once I'm done healing, I think I found who's going to fix my hands. I finally decided it was time and booked the appointment with Maria for last Saturday. The consultation was detailed and thorough. She asked about my sensitivity levels and tested my nail beds by touching gently with tools. She asked what my doctor had said. She mentioned she had other clients who had medical conditions that affected their nails too. Really it felt like a mini medical consultation, she was that thorough. She then explained what she could do, and what wouldn't be possible, and what she could try. Maria crafted nails for me using gel extensions for the index fingers, thumbs and middle finger. Note that due to the surgery I had NO natural nails on those fingers at all, just skin and tiny nubs of scattered post-surgical regrowth. The manicure itself was painless!! She's the most gentle nail tech I've ever gone to. I'd actually stopped getting my nails done in the 90's because I couldn't tolerate the painfulness of it. Maria basically reconstructed my hands. I can't recommend her enough, especially if you are sensitive or suffering from a medical condition that affects your nail growth. Also her work is positively gorgeous! This salon isn't good I went there yesterday. Let me tell you that they were treating other costumers better they were bringing them coffee without them asking. So I went there with my mom she wanted to dye her hair and wanted there massage. They made us wait 2 hours just for her to get her hair cut. And there management is the worst I've ever seen before. There was no manager or boss in the salon.And because of this me and my mom had to wait 3 hours for the massage . But the worst part is that they wasted half our day because we were waiting on the massage yet the person who was gonna do it didn't tell the so called " management " that they weren't coming. So they waisted my day. Than when I would ask when the massage was because it was already 2 and we have been there since 8am.There employees kept brushing us off and kept telling us I don't know when we asked when our appointment was gonna start. Absolutely love this salon! I've been a few times for caviar keratin treatment and for hair cut and had a great experience every time. Girls working the front desk along with the hair stylist are all very nice. I think my longest wait was 10 minutes and I was offered a beverage (which includes coffee, tea, water, cappuccino etc) while doing so, otherwise I never wait. Just to be clear they also offer a beverage if you don't wait. Reasonable prices, my hair always looks great leaving and I don't have a single complain. Will definitely be back! read more

One word, AMAZING! First, every one wears a mask, everyone wipes and disinfects everything. They start by sanitizing your hands, bottom of your shoes and do a temp check. This already made me feel relaxed as it showed they take the safety of everyone's health seriously! Aside from the clean salon, my hair.. came out beautiful! Albina did a great job with my gel manicure. I asked for an almond gel manicure a long with a picture of nail designs I had in mind and the end result looks exactly the same. She put a lot of care and attention to detail at every step. Would definitely go back to her! For the salon itself, they take credit but make sure to have cash on hand for tipping (pretty standard). Totally loving the results from doing the organic caviar keratin treatment. I went from looking like an alpaca, to having super smooth, silky and shiny hair!!! Everyone in the salon was polite and for my first time there I felt extremely comfortable. Apon my arrival I was greeted at the door by a friendly girl who sanitized both my hands and the bottom of my shoes. After I was checked in and lead to my seat, the receptionist graciously offered me a choice of coffee, tea,wine or champagne. Buckle down because this will be a lengthy and honest review about Delacqua and Alex (the owner). Firstly I just want to say THANK YOU!! To the amazing staff, manager, hair stylists, makeup artists, and of course Alex (the owner). I got ready at Delacqua for the biggest day of my life, my wedding! I, along with 7 others (bridesmaids and my beautiful mother), got our hair and makeup down at delacqua. It went as smooth as butter, even smoother! We were greeted with open arms, fully taken care of the entire time we were getting ready, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Each person had a time slot for their hair and makeup and it went great. Each one of my bridesmaids looked absolutely breathtaking. My mother felt beautiful and I felt like a princess. I hope that each bride has the same breath of fresh air while getting ready and I truly believe that booking Delacqua will provide for that breath of fresh air. We had the limo pick us up from the salon and the photographers were able to come and take photos of us getting ready. Alex went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable and very well hydrated. He also suggested that we bring bagels for everyone to actually eat. And he was absolutely brilliant in suggesting that! Everyone was able to eat before it got to crazy and there was no fainting from lack of food at the wedding (Thank you god!) I went this weekend to get the caviar keratin hair treatment. The salon was running a special for half the price. They owner was there, he was very welcoming and friendly. They started the process right away. My hair was pin straight and so shiny after it was done. You can't wash it after 72 hours..I still haven't washed it but I'm definitely loving it. I'm pretty sure that it will continue to look great. They did a nice job and for the price it was great. Definitely going back for other hair needs. I highly recommend. Kind of hurts to give them three stars because prior to my last visit I WOULD OF SAID 5. So here's the run down.. I've been there three times. First time I went they were amazing professional they make you feel like VIP coffee cappuccino espresso anything your little heart desires I felt so special. Eldar did my styling for my graduation picture and he's amazing! He really took my curls to another dimension of greatness. Second time I went I made an appointment with Anthony and in the interim met Alex the owner who's AMAZING! Kind straightforward wants to let you know how much your going to pay right off the bat no surprises, I love that! He was very clear and concise on what was going to be done. So I went there met Anthony and he was like the guru of color, just perfect. If you need tonor, color, single process, bleaching Anthony is your guy! Not only is he able to connect and communicate with clients his work needs no explanation for his level of experience, just look at his Instagram! Then it was the third time, night before my trip to Vegas, initially had an appointment at 6pm. The secretaries called me to see if I can move it earlier I said I can try to make it by 5. So obviously things happen and come up and I didn't make it at 5, and came at 6 Anthony left as I was a "no show" BUT there was miscommunication yes, I was not upset about that... like things happen people have life's. The girls were SUPER ACCOMMODATING and teamed me up with another stylist who's name I won't blow up because while my hair is messed up I don't want to ruin people's jobs by not getting clients. I wanted a simple tone. I used to have baylage and every now and then I go in to tone my hair my brown color of a "little darker" brown. Well my bottom part of my hair is jet black. How.. I don't know. Initially when he saw it he was like it's dark but after two washes it'll get lighter "trust me" I must of washed my hair 7278488 times in Vegas to try and lighten it after I realized the true darkness of it post my curls falling. Didn't work...I'll attach some pictures! Hope this sheds some light as to why you should book an appointment with Anthony for color!
