I've never experienced such an unprofessional and disorganized medical provider. I scheduled a CT Scan four separate times, and they canceled EVERY SINGLE APPOINTMENT. Three times, they called me on the same day of the appointment -after I had already rearranged my schedule- claiming their machine wasn't working. By the fourth attempt, my trust was already gone, so I called the day before to confirm and, sure enough, the machine was still "not working". Meaning they would have waited until the next day to cancel on me again. They rescheduled me for the same day at a different location 40 minutes away. I asked directly -again- if the price was still agreed-upon $380. I was told yes. But when I arrived to the Aurora location, they suddenly claimed the cost was $515. When I told them I had already confirmed the price, the receptionist brushed it off as someone "pushing the wrong button". At that point, it wasn't about the money. It was about the complete lack of honesty, reliability, and professional ethics. No patient should have to deal with this level of incompetence, especially when it comes to medical care. I will not be returning, and I STRONGLY recommend looking elsewhere if you want a provider that respects your time and tells the truth. Horrible experience. Their customer service is in another country or cannot speak English and is IMPOSSIBLE to deal with. Forget trying to explain any issues to local staff either. They refuse to understand any problems. In the long run, you'll end up paying just as much as you would at a more reputable imaging company due to the stress, frustration, and inconsistencies with their scheduling and billing departments. I had to get an MRI and had used this company before, just another location. The Administrative assistant Victoria was amazing. She called a day ahead to remind me of check in time. She also gave me detailed instructions of where to park, so I wouldn't have to pay or get ticketed. She was very cordial upon my arrival, but professional as well. I hope this company appreciates all of her hard work. The technician doing my scan was excellent as well. Excellent bedside manner and clear on directing me through the scan. Very professional staff. They called me immediately after my doctor sent off my referral to them. They worked with me since I am an out of pocket patient. My doctor did not get anything on Wed or Thurs-- I had to call SimonMed and ask them to send it to my doctor since they weren't doing it without intervention. Alicia who answered the phone didn't see anything wrong with SimonMed not proactively sending the report as soon as it was done. Go somewhere else to get your imaging done. read more

Shady billing practices. I went in for an ultrasound ordered by my physician. I was told on the day of my service that my patient responsibility would be $178 if I ran it through my insurance but only $150 if I paid out of pocket and that I could then just seek reimbursement by my insurance company. Per their advice I took the latter route because I didn't have time to call up UHC and figure out why the negotiated rate would be more than paying out of pocket. I never received a reimbursement when I filed with UHC because apparently SimonMed still submitted a claim and it turns out that my patient responsibility with UHC was only $57.16. I have called SimonMed multiple times and UHC sent them a letter that they overcharged me and to submit reimbursement and they have refused to reimburse me the difference in what my patient responsibility is and what I paid for. DO NOT USE THEM! Their customer service is crap too. Reading off a script, cannot resolve an issue that doesn't align with that script and I have now been on hold for 60 min to speak with a supervisor but have still not been transferred. They are hoping I will just hang up, which I will have to do because I have to work. Still no resolution. I would give zero stars if I could. read more

Probbaly the worst medical experience I've ever had. I called ahead and asked how busy the line typically is for X Ray walk ins at a certain time and the lady on the phone was rude. I then asked if I could make an appointment for an X Ray, and the lady said that they only did walk ins and no appointments. When I eventually came in as a walk in a few days later, the front desk lady (different then the one above) said I totally could've made an appointment. This front desk lady however charged me $140 and said that if I used insurance it would be almost over $400 more. That being sketchy and completely ridiculous aside, there was only 1 other person in front of me yet I still was waiting for 45 minutes. It got to the point where the horrendously inadequate treatment from the first lady on the phone, the sketchiness of the price and the insurance, and the long wait time led me to request the charge to be voided and for me to try to speak to a supervisor. the charge was indeed voided (at least one thing was done right!), but the supervisor dodged calling me for the entirety of the day. This is especially horrible considering how your business neglected to give me back my doctor's order, and now im left without one when I really needed an X Ray pretty soon. I also took off work in order to come here and got completely screwed over in this regard too. I seriously do believe I have the grounds for legal action as I have read through the patient rights section of your website, where you violated multiple bullet points. To all potential customers, beware. read more

Worst medical industry experience I've ever had. My suggestion: If you don't get a good feel from the first person you speak to when attempting to set the appointment, hang up and start over. Some reps are ok, others are abysmal.... honestly. I wasted several hours after several attempts over the course of two weeks to end up giving up on them due to their disorganization, lack of knowledgeable reps (especially appointment setters), and misinformation. Two reschedules, incorrect pricing quoted, lack of (or seriously delayed) communication.... and you guessed it... all at your expense! Even after all the effort and time investment, I still don't have the MRI's I need. At least I didn't pay and still get the short end of the stick like some others here. Probably a better suggestion: Go somewhere else and forfeit a few extra bucks for piece of mind and professionalism. If you go here, I sure hope your experience is better than mine! read more

This place is the absolute worst. I know it's cheaper if you have to pay out of pocket but you'll lose that savings in time spent dealing with them on other issues. I wanted to get an estimate before I got an MRI. I called and called their broadway office - never answered. Finally got through to someone in customer service (sounded like they were in another country) and they told me the MRI was $250. When I went in they told me it was $300 and sorry they had told me wrong but I still had to pay the $300. Also, girl at front desk sat there and ignored incoming calls. No wonder I couldn't get through. Ended up going to a different location to a bigger MRI machine (I stressed out in it). They said my payment would transfer. Went to the other SimonMed location the same day and got it done. Got a bill in the mail for $300. Called them and told them I paid and they said they would resolve it. 3 months later I'm still getting bills. Went to their online chat support (open 9-4pm est weekdays). Said nobody available for chat even though it's within that time. So I finally sent another email to support. It's not worth it. This place is awful. read more

My doctor ordered a stat CT scan of my cervical spine so i could get my c collar off and go to work. They were able to get me in on the same day and i was told that the results would be called to my doctor in an hour or two. After not hearing from them that day i had to call into work because the results were not back. It has now be greater than 24 hours and i have to call in sick to work again. I paid 300 dollars out of pocket because i was told it would be more efficient than going through my insurance and would have the results immediately. Now i am out of 300 dollars and two nights of work. I am hoping i dont miss a third night of work because of a mix up/computer problem on their end. read more

New facility, very clean and professional. My husband was self-pay so can't comment on insurance or billing issues, and have not received my reading yet, but their prices were very competitive. SimonMed is the new occupant of 939 Broadway and the previous occupant imaging service has bad reviews, rest assured this is a whole new business at the same address. Be careful to park in marked spots as the lot owner does ticket vehicles, but parking lot is a plus. The parking entrance is just south of the building entrance. The facility was clean and locker for belongings was provided. He received his images on a DVD a few minutes after the test. They are using a GE brand MRI machine which appears brand new, they state that it is a 3T coil and was installed in February 2019. read more

Do NOT waste your time going here!!! My husband hurt his foot and we have been going around and around trying to figure out exactly what is wrong with it. His doctor ordered an MRI and we ended up at SimonMed. What a joke! We should have known something was up with the receptionist that knew nothing and no one else there to get scans. We called our doctor to see if they sent over the images and the only thing they sent was a report! We are dealing with a foot injury! Many many bones, possible soft tissue damage and so on! A report will not tell us what is going on. We need the images sent over. They refused. We called corporate, they couldn't help. Apparently there is a portal you can review your images through, but the portal doesn't work! Called corporate again and the woman on the phone was clueless and rude and basically said, "I don't know, I cannot help you." We called again, talked to 4 people. No was willing to help get the images to our doctor. What a waste of $375!! Do not waste your time or money with these slimeballs. It is pretty sad that we try to save our money and look for less expensive alternatives only to get the run around from people who don't care about anything but taking your money. They sent my MRI billing credit to the wrong credit card even though I had confirmed several times it would go to another one. I went to SimonMed for an MRI and x-ray after I had researched their costs on the cost and care finder on my insurance website. I paid out of pocket for the procedure due to having a high deductible. They had a promotion for both procedures. After I paid and was leaving the facility, the receptionist asked me for my insurance card "just to have on file in case there is an issue" so I gave it to her not thinking much of it since I had already paid for the procedure. Two months later I received a bill for more than double of what I had already paid. When I called them they said that I hadn't met my deductible so that is the portion I was responsible for. When I reminded them that I paid out of pocket on a promotion and they weren't supposed to bill my insurance, the lady blamed me for giving my card to the receptionist (because by doing that "you are ordering them to bill your insurance") and to take it up with my insurance company. She was incredibly rude. I checked with my insurance and it was not a processing error on their part. It was erroneous billing to the insurance in the first place. I asked for an investigation and after 4 weeks still have no resolution and can't get a return call. This is really starting to feel like a scam. I would like to get this resolved. It is like pulling teeth trying to get it scheduled with these people. It takes about 5 hours total to get on their calendar. Their automated phone system calls you constantly outside of business hours and continues to call several times per day after scheduling. Their new software doesn't have any of the ordering Drs. in it so they never heard of any of them and they barely heard of the state of Colorado. They said they can't guarantee they will do any MRIs because anyone weighing 100 lbs or more might not fit in the machine, which seems insane to me since I weighed more and got MRIs done at a different location of theirs (Parker) plus in Japan they can MRI people up to 130 lbs. The chick on the phone knows so little about the human body that I don't know how she keeps herself alive. They might as well have 5 year old children on the phone to do their scheduling. At least the price is right at $300 per MRI. read more
