Is this a an open MRI machine?

Hello Cheryl, we do not have an Open MRI machine at that location, however our Watsonville location has a wide-bore MRI. If you need an open MRI specifically, Santa Clara would be the closest. If you are in need of further assistance, please email…

Simon med Imaging was very helpful to work me in at the last minute for an urgent ultrasound to rule out a blood clot in my injured leg before I get on a plane in a few days.

My daughter was incredibly nervous for both procedures and the staff was very nice, understanding and reassuring. So definitely kudos to them. My complaint is their billing. I have had nothing but problems. I've always called ahead to get my portion of the balance due prior to the procedures so I can plan as I'm a single mom on a budget. I paid in full every time and EVERY single time I was overcharged. For my daughter's two procedures, I was overcharged more than $300!! It took them nearly three months to reimburse me. And the only reason I found out about the overcharges is because I received my Explanation of Benefits - not because they had the decency to reach out!! In between the disputes with my daughter's billing, I had a procedure and told them I am not paying anything up front as they already owed me nearly $350. The billing manager said fine and that she'd make a note for a payment schedule once the insurance settled. I got my bill in December after insurance paid their portion. I made a partial payment immediately - about a third of the total bill. Next thing I know, I'm being sent to collections!!! They can keep my money for over three months but the moment I don't pay in full (with payment arrangements supposedly noted on my file) they send my account to collections. Because of these issues I will get imaging done elsewhere.

Well, I really felt jipped out of my first experience seeing my baby during the first trimester ultrasound. Though the technician was polite, she never showed me the beating heart or allowed me to watch the baby move. Though I understand that she needs to see the screen, how much of an inconvenience is it to tilt the screen every so often to the expectant mom? She also didn't know where certain buttons were on the machine which made me lose confidence in her skill in, at least, prenatal ultrasounds. She didn't even provide print outs! We had to take pix with our iphones. I would have to say I would not recommend these guys if you ladies want your prenatal ultrasounds done here. I had used their ultrasound services in the past for other medical needs (with the same tech), and that was satisfactory. But you may want to go elsewhere, moms.

I just showed up on-time on appointment day and they don't have me on the schedule. No record of my appointment (but I am in their system so obviously I had talked to someone). They said they could fit me in 30 minutes after my scheduled time so I stayed. They are now contacting the referring facility trying to get my records, etc. They literally had no idea I was coming. Utter incompetence of the scheduling people. Fingers crossed that billing / insurance isn't a disaster too. I would have walked out and gone elsewhere except this place is literally the only place where my insurance will pay 100%. I should say that the ultrasound technician was fantastic. This review reflects the scheduling department only.

I took her to the CHOMP ER and kindly requested a plastic surgeon to stitch her up. We were so lucky that Dr. Goldberg happened to be there at the same time and was willing to help my daughter. He has an excellent bedside manner with kids (and parents!). My daughter was scared at first, but his demeanor relaxed her. He numbed her face and stitched her up, all while being kind and warm. I carried her in, although on the phone they asked if I needed a gurney, which I didn't, but has kindly offered. The second they saw me and my pup, everyone stopped what they were doing to help. They could clearly see between my face, and her, that this was serious. Although our sweetie passed, they did everything they could, and kept me in the loop the entire time. The physician gave us great peace by telling us what had occurred, there was nothing we could have done, and even if we'd gotten her there earlier they probability to survival was low. In an extraordinarily difficult time they give my wife and I peace knowing we'd done what we could and it wasn't our fault. I had a mentor tell me, "why and what if are what keep you up at night." They did everything they could to shut down those difficult thoughts. While this is a sad outcome, I can't think every person who helped me and our pup last night do what they could. I'll never forget how you helped me through one of the most difficult processes of my life and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I brought my French Bulldog to this emergency veterinary hospital on August 23, 2026, around 4 PM…read morebecause the entire left side of his face was severely swollen. We specifically told multiple staff members, including the doctor, that we suspected the swelling could be related to an ear infection. My dog was taken to the back, and despite being there for approximately six hours, I was never allowed to see him during the visit. We were told that they needed to discuss payment before examining him. We ultimately paid $243 for the initial "exam," $357.25 for blood work, plus medication fees, for a total of $761.21. After getting home, I checked his ear myself and noticed a significant amount of wax. I called the hospital to confirm whether his ears had been examined. Emily put me on hold to ask and then told me that they had not checked his ears. When I asked why, considering we had specifically raised the possibility of an ear infection and his face was swollen extremely close to his ear, I was told that they do not check ears unless there is a specific reason to. I find that extremely concerning. We specifically gave them a possible explanation for his symptoms, and his swelling was located directly next to his ear. I expected that to at least warrant an ear examination, especially after paying hundreds of dollars for an exam. I then asked to speak with the doctor or a manager. I was told there was only a shift lead. When I asked to speak with the shift lead, I was told she was busy and that the doctor was in the middle of a "procedure." I simply asked for the shift lead's name, and Emily told me I did not need to be given that information and then hung up on me. I understand that emergency veterinary care can be expensive, and I am willing to pay for appropriate care for my dog. What I cannot accept is paying $761.21 and later learning that something as basic as checking his ears was not done--even though we specifically raised an ear infection as a possible cause of his facial swelling. The lack of communication, compassion, transparency, and professionalism throughout this experience was extremely disappointing. I brought my dog here because I trusted this facility to properly evaluate him when he was clearly unwell. Instead, I left feeling like my concerns were dismissed and that the focus was more on payment than making sure my dog received a thorough examination. If you are considering bringing your pet here in an emergency, I strongly recommend asking exactly what will be examined and what is included in the "exam" before agreeing to treatment or charges. My experience left me deeply disappointed and concerned about the level of care my dog received. I don't need a generic response with " we apologize for your experience ,please feel free to contact us" what you need to do is train Emily for some customer service and the other lady who rolled her eyes when I was speaking to them during my visit.
