My wife has been trying to get CT scan with Simonmed and to say it has been frustrating would be a HUGE understatement!!! She has spent HOURS yes documented hours (mostly waiting) on the phone giving information. We shortened a vacation to come home for the appointment that the doctor ordered STAT. Service is HORRIBLE she has went to the office twice, once they had the wrong order second time she was told no CT Technician was scheduled???? Then they said there was a cancelation at another office she rushed over there ...guess what turned away! I just tried calling 3 times pushed prompts 1-3 and was disconnected! I am now waiting on "chat" which I am confident will get us no where as I am sure the email will not either. What a huge waste of time. Good luck read more

I should have read the reviews before scheduling this appointment! The MRI Tech messed up the first couple of scans, which had to be redone, putting everyone an hour to an 90 minutes past their scheduled appointments. Poor communication by the front desk when problem occurred, although they would reschedule your appointment to weeks ahead! Yikes! read more

If I could do 0 stars I would. Find anywhere else to do the tests you need! I had a test that included an extremely painful shot and the doctor did it wrong and admitted she didn't read the order form at all. Then I had to go back a different day because they could not do a second shot in the same day and they had very strict orders to do the tests in a certain order or things could have gone very wrong due to metal in my body... the tech yelled at me and refused to do the tests in that order and is very lucky that nothing very bad happened. She put me on the MRI machine and when I got done she snapped at me and yelled "did it hurt?" and I realized that instead of complying with doctors orders and doing the correct tests to make sure the MRI was safe she just tried it and hoped for the best. Then they made me drive to a different facility to do a second MRI even though I had just used the machine at the PV location and was fine. Now for the last 10 months I have been getting bills that have added up to over $15,000 because they wont submit them correctly to the insurance or take off the bills for the tests they did wrong. This company will not listen to what you say or need, they will not read the orders submitted by your doctors and they will not help you when it comes to billing. If you want dealing with this to become your new full time job for you and your prescribing doctor for the next year then this place is great for you, otherwise I recommend you find somewhere else! I'd love to spend time complaining about how bad the front office staff was but unfortunately my actual safety was my top concern. SimonMed get your act together! And not just bad at this location but bad at the several I have been to. read more

What's the point of making an appointment at this place. Every single time I've waited over an hour. At an hour and a half right now. No one says anything. No explanations. They just go about their business, oblivious to the impact of not keeping even remotely close to their schedule. If this was a new practice I could understand working out the kinks. But this has been like this for at least the 2-3 years I've been coming here. Yeah yeah, I get it: "And then what happened? Did the most advanced piece of equipment in history then scan your systems like you're on the dang Enterprise?". Point taken. But still, why make appointments? This is absolutely the worst facility in the valley. Three times they have scheduled my exam, first the machine broke while I was being examined, then they rescheduled for three days later and 1/2 hour before my appointment they called and told me that the machine was still broken, when I showed up a week later to finally get my exam they lost all of my paperwork and I had to redo everything. Fraudulent Billing Practices-DO NOT GO TO SIMONMED!!! I'm a Revenue Cycle Billing Analyst, received my imaging here, in network, but continue to receive fraudulent statements! My insurance adjustment was removed from my account (per a Billing Supervisor) and I already paid my portion from June 2019; however, SimonMed continues to bill me for the entire amount, thus trying to obtain illegal monetary collections from me. Spent 2 hours there this morning and didn't get my procedure. Spoke with the office Manager (SKY), who was rude, incompetent and full of attitude. I would not recommend Simon Med to anyone. I did not think Simon Med has good service for patients. I was told by the scheduling person they would have to schedule me 2 weeks out for insurance approval. When I called the day before my appointment they had not even sent my information to insurance so if I did not call it would have never been pushed through. I have a fractured ankle so waiting two weeks is a BIG deal but they just told me if it's not approved they would work on it and it may take another few days. TERRIBLE. When I arrived to my appointment the 15-30 minutes early they informed me they were running a hour behind. Wonder how, when I had a morning appointment. I asked to be scheduled elsewhere then I went to desert ridge and the technician was rude and unprofessional. My daughter actually had to use them several years back and the bill was completely paid and they sent her collections that she had to dispute. A apparent mix up in their billing. On Friday, June 23, 2023, I went for 2 exams scheduled back to back: a Dexa scan followed by a thoracic MRI. After the Dexa was completed, I was told the MRI was running behind. They told me I could "come back a little later" and was told by the tech to return in 30 minutes. I left and came back and eventually they called me back for the MRI. When the MRI was completed, the tech said "okay, all done & good to go" and that results would be available in 5-7 business days. I scheduled a follow up appointment for a week later with the orthopedic office that ordered the imaging. Upon arrival, I was told that Simon Med told them the "MRI was not completed due to the patient being claustrophobic"--of course completely untrue. I drove back to the Simon Med office and spoke to a manager. She confirmed the MRI was completed but for some reason, the images never got read. She said she would be a "stat" request on the read and that it would be done on Monday, July 3rd. This morning, I went to yet another rescheduled ortho appointment only to be told they still didn't have the radiologist report. Quite frankly, I'm not sure why this place is teeming with inefficiency however, in the future, I will go to SMIL for any imaging I may need. Watch out folks, the infrastructure in this country is crumbling in front of our eyes. read more

I have used SimobMed for a couple of years, not knowing there were other places I could go to. They are AWFUL! Everytime I go, they charge me. I tell them my ibsurance company said I met my deductible, but they said as of this morning I have to pay several hundred dollars. Then I get my EOB, and turns out my insurance paid them in full. Then I have to call and get my money back. This happened several times. I think they are scamming people. They think nobody checks their EOBs and that they can steal money from them. DON'T GO TO THEM!!! They can't even schedule correctly so they send you to another SimonMed down the street. DON'TGO TO THEM!!!!!!! read more

My wife had an amazing experience at this location w her mammogram. First, they got her previous mammograms before scheduling initial appointment. Jay, the technician was very experienced and friendly. She had abnormal results from first exam and received a text as well as letter. At the follow up she explained that there are Drs on site to review findings and let us know if anything further needed to be done. Luckily all is well. Ladies we know this isn't the most fun exam but needs to be done. This a a great choice. read more

Terrible experience with the front desk! They went to charge me 700.00 for 3 ultrasounds that were covered 100% by my insurance, they refused to change the fee so I said I wouldn't do one of the ultrasounds and paid 350.00 for 2 ultrasounds that were covered by my insurance. They would not talk to my insurance company on the phone and told me to call their billing department and then the billing department said they could not do anything for ten days because the bill was not in their system yet! I went in two weeks ago and spoke with an employee at the front desk, and gave her some imaging that had been done at an Emergency Room, which she uploaded right away. I let her know that I had been advised to have this compared with imaging of the same but previous, to look for changes, and they had done quite a few of those over the years. She agreed after looking, as I had many of those CD's, that they had that imaging on file. I asked, can we get these images compared please as I was advised to do and see if there were any changes and if so, what they were please? Yes, I'll send that back and get back to you, she said. She took my number. I never heard back. I returned to the office later, the same employee was there, and spoke to another employee who was not busy. She said she would call someone and get back to me. Noemie V called me that afternoon and said she had spoken to Sandy in Decision Relations and according to their Protocol they would not do the comparison, and I could not speak to them. I called back and someone else tried to get in touch with them but they did not pick up, he said the department was really called Physician Relations. So I asked for a supervisor of that SimonMed. I was put through to Michael a Supervisor in Scheduling, who said, well, according to protocol, the Emergency Room is supposed to do comparisons of CD's of imaging. I asked him if this seemed sensible to him. He said, that's how it works. Bottom line, I gave this company lots of money for lots of years. I came in with imaging from an ER and asked could they please do a comparison with one of the many images they had of the same area and check for changes as I had been advised to do so and have that done. They said sure. Then I never heard back and it turned into a Thing. It's like someone witholding medical care. They could have come up with a way to do it. Instead there were all sorts of reasons that were thrown at me in the end to not do it, when a patient just said, please, could you provide me medical care as this is where the radiologists are and compare the frigging images. I made an appointment for my son's MRI and it was made a week out. I received a voice message 45 minutes before the appointment telling me the appt was cancelled since they could not get prior authorization. It tried calling back however I was hold for 20 minutes without reaching anyone. I went to the office as scheduled and they said they had called the day before to let me know although I have no record of this call. They could not say why they did not call me a few days prior to the appointment letting me know they did not have prior approval and why they waited until the day of to call me. I think they dropped the ball by not getting approval timely and would not admit it. In addition, I was not told prior approval was needed when I made the appointment as I would have called to make sure it was done. Going forward, don't rely on this office to do what they should, do it yourself. If I didn't have to use SimonMed, I wouldn't. read more

The ONLY reason I come here is because Dr. Mahor and her staff are amazing. If it was Dr. Mahor's practice it would be a 5 star all day long. But between Dr. Simon's bad bed side manners and her husbands horrible diagnostic companies, this company is not high on my list of favorites. This will be my 3rd time rescheduling my left and right hip mri. First time the waiting room was so full and people waiting outside to that I called and rescheduled. 2nd time was 2 days ago after waiting 1 hour+ I finally went to ask how long before my MRI and was told there was someone else before me who was still in waiting room and once they go back it would be another 45 minutes to an hour. So however long they have to wait in waitingroom plus the hour. So 2+ hours past my appointment. Not a walkin. So They rescheduled me while I was there after closing hour (which is 5pm) for today at 5:45pm. I just got a call at 5:20pm saying they are running way behind and to please arrive at 6:45 or 7pm. Seriously. I have a family, other things on my plate daily. I have meds I have to take at certain times. I have acid reflux and heartburn so bad I can't eat before laying down for my MRI or I get awful sick. If I dont't eat for so many hours I get the shakes and nausea. I understand there are things beyond control but come on. This is really ridiculous!! Do not go here unless you clear your entire schedule for they day cause they are not considerate of other peoples plans/schedules! read more

Great experience at PV Simon Med. After a script hiccup, Nicci the Physicians Services manager took a personal interest in resolving the issue and making sure I got scheduled for my MRI quickly. Anna the appointment setter followed up with me regularly until I could set a time and then Nicci got me in the same day I called back. At the center they got me in at the scheduled time. The staff at PV Center couldn't be nicer and more professional. They made feel very comfortable about the procedure and made a CD of my MRI. Terrific! Thank you!" read more

All I can say is after trying to get an appointment both by phone and on their website, I was seriously considering legally changing my name to Karen. It took forever to get someone to answer on the phone, then about half way through the call dropped. If you thought they might call me back to finish the process, you would be wrong. After calling back in, ready to start the process over with another rep, and waiting for about 20 minutes, I opted to hit 1 for someone to call me back. If you thought they would indeed call me back, again you would be wrong. The online appointment process was even worse. It asked all kinds of questions about what the doctor wanted, like I would know this and the information they asked for was not on the doctor's referral, but without filling in the spaces it would not let you proceed further. I may be crazy but I think I'll see how bad it is if you just walk in. If that is as bad an experience I will just forgo all the tests all together and let nature take it's coarse. read more

There was a patient in the waiting room NOT WEARING A MASK! The sign on the door stated that masks are required. I asked the receptionist and she apologized to me saying she did not notice. She did not address the patient. I told her I would have to reschedule my procedure, she offered to let me wait in an area away from the general waiting room, and that it would be a 10 minute wait. I agreed. A technician came in and got the mask-less man, and also did not seem phased by the fact that he was without the required mask. More than the promised 10 minutes later the technician that was supposed to do my procedure came out and called another patient that arrived after me. When I questioned that, he said that I was not yet on his computer and I would be next. That was not acceptable to me, and I told the receptionist to cancel my appointment. I called customer service when I got home, and after being on hold for 20 minutes got to voicemail and left a message. Five hours later, and still waiting for the call back. This unacceptable, I will not use this office ever again. read more

This is the second time my family has been mistreated at this location. This time the mammogram tech, "Jayshree gosalia" who lied and said my name is Jenny when I asked her to identify herself. I go to my parents appointments because they can't speak English in their old age. So I translate to Arabic to provide their information, which I told Jayshree. Once we were in the mammogram room she told me that I can leave now to do the procedure. Thinking thatJayshree knows what she is doing and no longer needs me to translate, I left the room. almost immediately after I hear someone yelling orders in a different language Spanish As well as the other customers in the waiting room do you. By the time my mom came out I asked her, Was she yelling in Spanish to you? My mom being the nice person that she is said that it was her fault not the tech. So I go and talk to the tech and let her know that she cannot be treating people this way, stating that I already told you that I'm here to translate and you asked me to leave the room so you can yell at my mom in Spanish? Then I told her if you know Spanish then you know by hearing me speak to my mom that we were not speaking in Spanish but in a different language. What makes you think by YELLING in a different language she would understand you?! Jayshree begins to make up excuses and lied to me saying that her name is Jenny, there is no excuse if you cannot speak to your patient in a professional manner or if they cannot understand you then you seek the person who brought them there and spoke to you in English! This location has employees that are not certified or trained properly to handle their patients and constantly miss treat, misinformed, and do whatever they can to place blame on anyone but themselves! I will urgent that my doctor never recommend this location to anyone because of this behavior!! read more

After my CT scan, I requested a copy of my report and CD with images via the proper method, fax. I wanted to hand-carry the images to my next doctor as I was advised to do. Did receive the report. Did not receive the CD with images. Called 3 times and left 3 voice mail messages for the records department. No reply. Sent a total of 3 faxes. No reply. Called the general phone number and no one picked up the phone. Waited for 30 minutes on the phone, hoping someone would answer, and then gave up. Sent an email to the billing department because that was the only email I could find online. She could not help. Frustrating and unacceptable. read more

The front girl receptionist was so rude to every customer. I drive my mom to get scan on a Saturday for a 1pm appointment. When we arrived no one was in lobby, but a patient. She told us they are at least an hour behind. We finally saw a girl pull up and come in back with keys. Told us they are 20 min behind and said we can leave and get a drink. I told her by time we left and got a drink it would be longer than 20. She got snotty and said it would be longer than 20. I was confused because she had literally just told us 20. The next patient came in and she was ruder to her. That lady ended up leaving, but before she did the front receptionist took jabs at her and said their tech isn't that good and that's why they are behind. I almost thought I was on some hidden video show to see how people respond to terrible service. Sad to see this is the best person they could find to hire. She appeared to hate her job. read more

Amazing, and not in a good way. I called them 5 times and waited a minimum 5 minutes up to 18 minutes for somebody to come online to take an appointment. They never did answer. Ever. So then I called their West Side location and asked to speak to a manager. That girl said that there were high volume incoming calls at the first place I called. Don't BS me. My son had to have 6 MRIs and was told he would be in the tube an hour and twenty minutes. They don't have music piped in like other imaging services do. They were also not very comforting considering how uncomfortable this is for anyone let alone a child. read more

These idiots apparently took over for Desert Valley Radiology and are unable to provide me with medical records I need that are critical. I put in a written request personally in the office because I could not even get through on the phone. Then they promised me the records would be available within a week and would call me. They have not, it has been over 3 weeks, I have called multiple times and they will not put me thru to their medical records dept. I just keep getting machines with selections that do not apply. I finally talked to a front desk person who could not even get thru to his own people and would not let me talk to a manager. I think my only option at this point is to have my attorney get involved. This could very well turn into a tort claim if they cannot provide the records needed to diagnose my serious condition. read more

I got to this location right when it opened and signed in to get an X-ray. No other patients were there for 20 minutes after me. I waited for 45 minutes and watched several people get checked in front of me and also leave. Finally I asked how long the wait would be. The lady at the desk said 10 more minutes because they accidentally let people go ahead of me. This is a walk in location by the way. First come first served. Totally unacceptable business and I definitely will never come back!!! Oh and the lady at the desk didn't even apologize. read more

I had a follow-up x-ray here, the first was 8 days prior at Southwest Diagnostic Imaging (SDI) in Gilbert. I paid $34.61 for the one at SDI. First, Simon Med sent me a bill for $123.84, even after I had given them my BCBS info, so I had to call BCBS and then the bill went to them. The next bill I got from Simon Med was for $39.64, which I paid. I called BCBS and asked why they were different, and they said that the pricing differs according to the contract they have with the provider. So I guess I will not be going to Simon Med anymore. read more
