Timeliness. Waiting nearly an hour for my MRI was offensivel. Quit overbooking, or reduce the fees for every minute you are late.

Simonmed and I are done forever. They must not train or manage their staff anywhere in the facility, front desk, treatment rooms. RUDENESS everywhere. I have told all my docs they are never to send me to Simonmed again in my lifetime. Phoenix for the most part has friendly welcoming people at all businesses. In addition to less than zero manners, their website is not functional, they gave outsourced all their call centers to locations where English must be hard to learn. They are a mill living on those who don't know and all their locations. Owned most by a private equity firm, of course it is 100% about the numbers. If you care about your health, go elsewhere even if you have to drive farther. read more

I was informed my check-in time was 7 AM and MRI scan time would begin at 7:15 AM. I figured that was perfect because I wanted to bring the information to my doctor at 8:30 AM. When I arrived, doors were locked, I was knocking on the doors, and no one answered until 715 . I checked in first, there was someone who checked in behind me, that person went first, and by 7:50 AM, I was still sitting in the waiting room. I asked for a refund and left. I will never go to this location again, and will tell everyone to avoid it. read more

I wish I could give less than 1 star. They have me driving all over the valley because their locations just randomly put up signs saying no X-rays even though they are literally an imaging place. Even when I ask employees to tell me what location DOES have X-rays, it still ends up being wrong and they have a sign up saying no X-rays. It's unbelievable read more

Any complaints receive the standard reply from the business owner saying "sorry if we can help" call or whatever. These people make way too much money to give a shit about their computer system or their staff. After my struggle of answering their text message to schedule my next appointment - I called the number for scheduling. Alicia was very condescending making statements to me like "like I said" and a second time of telling "like I said" was all it took for me just to hang up! I must mention that the SimonMed phone system is awful. This is the only system where your wait time increases even though the estimated time is given. I opted to call back. The recording said I would be called back in 10 minutes. I waited half of the morning and I never received one. I tried to call in the afternoon. I was told my wait time would be 10 minutes. However after 25 minutes of waiting, I gave up. This location is slightly east of I-51. I got confused and turned into the wrong medical plaza because I saw the SimonMed name on the billboard. Naturally that site was closed with the forwarding address of where I should have gone. My mistake. I found the site, parked and walked in. There were 2 staff people at the counter. One staff was busy with another patron while the other was not. I stepped up to the unoccupied staff. I stood while she looked at a computer screen. I continued to stand patiently. I knew she saw me but never acknowledged me. She finally looked up and said, "I'm not ready to help you." She could have said that when I first appeared. I went and stood in the queue of no one except me. 10 minutes passed and she was "ready" for me. I checked in except she couldn't locate my appointment. After a bit of a search and a few questions, I went to wait. I was called shortly thereafter. The 2 gentlemen helping with the bone density exam were much kinder and helpful. I was done quickly and happy to leave. Common courtesy is not that hard especially when you deal with the public. Thankfully I only do this exam every other year. read more

just now NEW Dont reccomend getting a mri done there staff was nice but mri tech was horrible. I told him i get panic attacks in mri machine and he said he may be too busy to check on me because " he has to play pokemon" great joke NOT he was training someone as well. He had 0 empathy . I challenge an executive to be an "undercover patient" as an "undercover Boss". Have them start by making an appointment over the phone and then come to the 4219 E Bell Rd, Phoenix site location to see how the SimonMed facility conducts their behavior and business practices. This will provide them a true picture without employees modifying their behavior. It's a true representation of how the day-to-day business operates. Have the executive have an issue with SimonMed entering the order incorrectly into the system. Have the executive try to call to correct the issue, before arriving to their appointment, and see if they get transferred and hung up on 5 times. Then have them get to the appointment to still have the type of scheduled appointment wrong. Forty five minutes later, have the executive deal with the scowling faces of the front office assistants. I won't even get into all of that, but let's just say, they are rude, unhelpful and they could really benefit from some professional coaching. There's a reason why this location has a 1 1/2 star rating on Yelp. Minimally, the regional manager and location/site manager aren't paying attention. I would even venture to guess that you have a vice president who isn't paying attention. Who reviewing the KPI reports? If SimonMed can't handle simple, tactical tasks, how do I have confidence in their accuracy of complex, life-threatening reporting? Someone needs to be fired. This is completely unacceptable. I certainly will never be back. By the way, I love the political answer Lindsey continues to give every single time there's a complaint. If Lindsey was truly looking into the issues for "TRUE RESOLUTION", we still wouldn't be seeing all of these 1 star reviews about the same thing. Enough lip service already and try doing something about it! If you go back through these reviews, it isn't just a month ago, these reviews go back years. This location is the worst! The picture in the yelp preview doesn't represent how packed this location always is! Even if you have an appointment, there is one person to check people in. The line is usually out the door. Last I was here with an appointment- my son had a broken leg. We sat for 2 hours to be told that they needed a prior authorization for a stat MRI. I called orthopedic and the stat prior with was sent earlier . No one answers the phone ever. I had to come back- again son with broken leg the next day. What do you know Dr. calls me 20 minutes after MRI to say meet at the hospital. Prior to leaving the day before, I offered to cash pay and they would not allow. What's worse is Phoenix Childrens Hospital sent my son home w a broken leg even though I requested an MRI. His leg was 4 x it's normal size! So- 7 days later- my son is finally getting treatment. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This location is disrespectful and racist. I was the only colored woman who had an appointment at 10am, I showed up at 9:45. At 10:30 people who got there after me were going in so I approached the desk asking why. The front desk said they needed to verify my insurance even tho when I made the appointment the week prior the scheduling assistant asked for it so it would be done. 11:20 rolls around, I approach again asking how long it takes for insurance to be verified; she said "oh that's been done a long time ago". By this time all the people after me were gone and all new people were waiting. 11:45 I still haven't been seen. I approach and ask what's going on. The front desk said I can come by between 2-4! I refused and went to get food. I come back and I'm the ONLY person in there. I start eating and the manager comes out saying I can't eat in there cuz my mask is not on. I refuse stating I been here since 9:45 and I'm going to eat since I been here coming on 3 hours. A group of new people come in. Mind you I'm the only colored person who was seen. They ALL get seen before me. My name was called at 12:30!! I was back there for 5 mins. I advise the tech that am I suppose to get a certain thing done. The male tech states " well I have no idea what you need done but we don't do that here." I called my doctor while there and my doctor confirmed what I was saying is correct. After waiting for 30 minutes I was disconnected at 5 PM when they closed. I called back the next morning and we did an additional 30 minutes when the guy told me that he couldn't book the two appointments simultaneously, but he also couldn't tell me what days they would have them simultaneously. Then two months ago I showed up for my MRI that had been scheduled for weeks and the MRI machine had broken. I understand malfunction but when it happened six hours earlier you need to contact people. I then had to drive to Mesa on a Saturday since my appointment was Monday morning for the results. Follow me so one of the desk clerks was treating an older lady horribly saying that she didn't have an appointment when she was adamant that she had booked it online. I have been to other Simon Med imaging, this is the slowest moving front desk I have ever seen. They don't answer the phone at all. Simple tasks are difficult for them. The techs in the back are great which is why 2 stars, they would get 4 if the front desk wasn't negative 2 stars. If you have a choice simply drive a little bit further then go to this location, I'm doing you a favor. read more

Was told to come to this location from Desert Ridge as their X-ray machine was broken. Initial appointment at 9 am at desert ridge then moved to 10:15 am at this location. Arrived to paradise valley location at 9:45 am and signed in. Had to wait for over 2 HOURS to be seen for my X-ray. The front desk receptionist advised all staff was present but the wait was absolutely ridiculous. I asked after 2 hours where my name was on wait list and told 15-20 more mins... I am still currently waiting 30 mins later. Unsure when I'll be called back. Will certainly be avoiding this location at all cost in the future! read more

YOU NEED BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE! I received a call to reschedule an appt because the dr was not going to be onsite. Just spent 2 hours and 5 calls later to do just that and in the end I canceled the appt. Your customer service system is terrible! I was told each time that the type of appointment had to be done through a different group so they had to transfer me. I waited 10 min in dead silence before the call dropped. I even asked for the number on my 2nd call and that person was rude said they don't have it but will transfer me which they did before I could talk. Really?! 5 times people! And yes I know I could do this online but it's for my daughter who is at work and she asked me to reschedule this for her (I don't have access to her account). Very unprofessional! read more

I am on Medicare and have been having my mammograms done at this location for many years. Simon Med sent me numerous emails and texts telling me my mammogram was due in the summer of 2023. As they had my records, I assumed that my scheduled appointment of July 28th would have been covered my Medicare. It was not. It was too early by a few days. When the claim was declined, I appealed to Medicare but was refused. Their response to me was that I couldn't be charged by Simon Med because I did not know my claim wouldn't be covered. Simon Med sent me a bill for over $750. When I called to explain the situation, I offered to pay the amount that Medicare would have paid had they honored the claim (a lot less than $750) since the fault was on both Simon Med and myself for not being more vigilant about checking the date of my last exam, the date they also knew from my records. Months later I received another bill from Simon Med, reduced to $577.86. This is substantially more than the Medicare approved amount, which Medicare said I shouldn't have to pay, but I give up. I went ahead and charged it, but this is the last time I will use the services of Simon Med. I would advise any old woman like myself to ensure that your mammogram would be covered by Medicare before making the appointment, which by the way, they kept texting me to make even AFTER I had made the appointment. Clearly whoever received his PRE-filled out forms and having been interviewed over phone is NOT paying attention, nor asking the required questions. I guess medical practice now has doctors sending referrals directly to the third party and leave it to them to contact the patient. Simon Med takes that to another level of impersonal by moving their scheduling to an online portal. So, Simon Med will call to your telling you that your doctor sent them a referral for 'x' exam. IF you didn't answer the phone because it said Potential Spam, then too bad. That is the last time that you may be able to speak to a human. You see, because to set an appointment now you have to use the online portal. The portal tells you that they have to send you a verification to your cell phone, and then nothing gets sent. Try going around the system? Good luck, who has hours to be on hold anymore? NO way will I allow that kind of corporate indifference to be responsible for any of my healthcare. read more

The office staff are great, but the online systems and phone systems are horrible. Registering online and completing forms was redundant - I had to complete the same information several times for my profile, appointment paperwork, and consent forms. Then later when I had to reschedule my appointment because I was feeling unwell on the day of my appointment, the website indicated I could not do that online - I had to call. After several failed phone attempts and a long wait time, I finally was able to speak to a live person, who then asked for much more information than needed to confirm my identity and reschedule my appointment. "What insurance did I want to use?" I answered but also stated that I had already indicated that online. "What was my height and weight?" What's that have to do with rescheduling my appointment? I'm the same height and weight as indicated in my file, which you have already confirmed is ME. "Any history of breast cancer?" and more questions like that. I finally indicated that if I were asked one more health question, I would hang up and just drive down to the office myself and speak to someone in person. "I'm just following protocol" was the answer. If that's the protocol, that's ridiculous. I hung up and drove to the office and rescheduled my appointment with the very helpful lady at the front desk. Remember, I'm trying to just reschedule this appointment because I'm sick. I hope I didn't spread any of my germs to the people in the waiting room. read more

Walked into the building. The lady at the front couldn't bother to look up and acknowledge me. Then when she took my cards she took a personal cell phone call. Never looked up at me once. The entire interaction was very odd and off putting. I've been having the same scan every 4-6 months for the last few years so I've become somewhat of a regular with the ultrasound techs at my normal SimonMed. I don't know if just everyone's having a horrible day here or what, it baffles me how unfriendly everyone is! I've just not experienced that here, really. This is not the location I'm accustomed to and was scheduled here by mistake (showed up to the other one first not realizing since they are less than a mile apart with almost the same address ‍) the other location down the road is great, extremely friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is much more pleasant. Will not be scheduling at this location again unless it's the only location for the procedure. read more

If I could do 0 stars I would. Find anywhere else to do the tests you need! I had a test that included an extremely painful shot and the doctor did it wrong and admitted she didn't read the order form at all. Then I had to go back a different day because they could not do a second shot in the same day and they had very strict orders to do the tests in a certain order or things could have gone very wrong due to metal in my body... the tech yelled at me and refused to do the tests in that order and is very lucky that nothing very bad happened. She put me on the MRI machine and when I got done she snapped at me and yelled "did it hurt?" and I realized that instead of complying with doctors orders and doing the correct tests to make sure the MRI was safe she just tried it and hoped for the best. Then they made me drive to a different facility to do a second MRI even though I had just used the machine at the PV location and was fine. Now for the last 10 months I have been getting bills that have added up to over $15,000 because they wont submit them correctly to the insurance or take off the bills for the tests they did wrong. This company will not listen to what you say or need, they will not read the orders submitted by your doctors and they will not help you when it comes to billing. If you want dealing with this to become your new full time job for you and your prescribing doctor for the next year then this place is great for you, otherwise I recommend you find somewhere else! I'd love to spend time complaining about how bad the front office staff was but unfortunately my actual safety was my top concern. SimonMed get your act together! And not just bad at this location but bad at the several I have been to. read more

I swore 2 years ago never to use this place but my 95yo mom needed services and the physician did not listen to me when I told him no simonmed. yester-day I got hung up on 3 times; first when I had to be transferred, second and third was when I was put on hold. The fourth call took the "agent" forever to determine which location did barium swallows. Then I had to wait 2 months for an appointment. NO WAY!! Last year an agent called to schedule an appointment (an attempt for them to redeem themselves). He asked what I was having done, he didn't know. My response was then why ru calling me? My wife has been trying to get CT scan with Simonmed and to say it has been frustrating would be a HUGE understatement!!! She has spent HOURS yes documented hours (mostly waiting) on the phone giving information. We shortened a vacation to come home for the appointment that the doctor ordered STAT. Service is HORRIBLE she has went to the office twice, once they had the wrong order second time she was told no CT Technician was scheduled???? Then they said there was a cancelation at another office she rushed over there ...guess what turned away! I just tried calling 3 times pushed prompts 1-3 and was disconnected! I am now waiting on "chat" which I am confident will get us no where as I am sure the email will not either. What a huge waste of time. Good luck read more

I should have read the reviews before scheduling this appointment! The MRI Tech messed up the first couple of scans, which had to be redone, putting everyone an hour to an 90 minutes past their scheduled appointments. Poor communication by the front desk when problem occurred, although they would reschedule your appointment to weeks ahead! Yikes! read more

What's the point of making an appointment at this place. Every single time I've waited over an hour. At an hour and a half right now. No one says anything. No explanations. They just go about their business, oblivious to the impact of not keeping even remotely close to their schedule. If this was a new practice I could understand working out the kinks. But this has been like this for at least the 2-3 years I've been coming here. Yeah yeah, I get it: "And then what happened? Did the most advanced piece of equipment in history then scan your systems like you're on the dang Enterprise?". Point taken. But still, why make appointments?
