This place absolutely sucks!!! They have you check in 15 minutes early just to take you in an hour after the scheduled appointment. No apology or explanation, which means this is standard operating procedures for them. I only stayed simply cause I had already invested the time. I reviewed after a very negative meeting at Simon Med. I come to reiterate this negative review! The day after my last horrible experience, I called to cancel my MRI for August 26. Yesterday I received a message saying I missed my appointment. I did not make another appointment, so how could I miss it, and thank heavens I went to another imaging place and am now under specialized doctors care, all no thanks to Simon Med at ALL!! I have written and told them I will not be returning to Simon Med unless I have no other choice, and I would suggest the same for everyone that has issues and want help. If I could give zero stars I would! Avoid at all costs! Attempted to be proactive by showing up early to avoid a wait. Apparently X-rays don't start until 830 even though the facility opens at 7. That would be nice to know before hand. Got checked in anyway and was told I was second in line. I came back at 830 and sat for an hour. I walked back up to the front desk and asked about the wait and was told they were waiting on the tech but she's calling people back. I asked about being second in line and asked how much longer she she looked at something and said, "to be honest it's probably still gonna be awhile" Unacceptable! read more

Have had many imaging appointments at various Simon Med facilities. This place just herds people through, and I can't believe doctors actually are having patients referred to them. I just got my MRI rescheduled today, for the THIRD TIME ... of course, it's after I've driven there and wasted my time. Had a PET Scan done 8 days ago, called three times and had doctors office call, still waiting for results to be sent to doctor. Communications and services regarding post scan has been horrible. Had cancer couple of years ago and would get scans back same day at Simon Med they've lost sight of patient care and service. You'd think they'd realize it's an anxious time for those receiving scans and at very least communicate status. Will try and aviod Simon Med moving forward. read more

I needed two procedures, a CatScan with contrast, and an echocardiagram, (with a bubble test). Both orders clearly stated what was needed. Being allergic to iodine, that was noted as well on the CatScan/contrast test, I took the obigatory medication pre-test, had to change my work schedule, co-workers schedules, & my sisters to schedule to accomodate test. I arrive at the location, lay on the exam table, after the tech told me if anything happens allergy wise they are fully prepared to take care of it. A few moments later, the tech comes back & tells me the doctor on duty refuses to do the test and that I have "go somewhere else." I asked to speak to them, but they wouldn't take a few moments to chat with me. The worse part is the receptionist was completely unapologetic, lacked any sort of empathy, & sent me away. Mind you the test is for chest pains, which two seperate ER visits couldn't diagnose. I told her that i tried calling many times pre-test but the operator was never able to get me through to the location. I sent a handwritten fax the day before, which was received, with no response. Later the same week I went in for the second test. Mind you, they had the order for several weeks. As I wait for the test, from 730am to 830am, (The test was scheduled at 8am), my name is called and I am told they "only just noticed that a bubble test was requested, & that they don't do that type of test." When I asked why they didn't notify me or my doctor about that, I was told that "it's up to me of the doctor to find a place that does those types of tests!?" Meanwhile they charged me the first second I arrived. What's happened to SimonMed, they used to be efficient, friendly, & courteous. Shameful. If the receptionist hates her job so much, she should find her bliss elsewhere. Also, the locations need to make themselves available for any questions needed by patients. The scheduling operators shouldn't be tasked with that. read more

I have been trying to schedule a lumbar MRI for my husband since August. He has a pacemaker and we're told only 1 facility in the entire valley can perform the MRI. I have called multiple times and left messages for Mercedes Bustos to no avail. I recently obtained her email address and sent an email earlier this week - still no response. I have asked to speak with her supervisor or manager, also to no avail. I at my wits end now trying to find another provider who can accommodate. I am done with Simon Med. After 5 months of fighting with them over them being incompetent I opened a case with the BBB and AZ Attorney General today. They take payments out of your credit card and then say you didn't make the payments. Then other things I got done is covered 100% with my insurance wrong code was used that needs corrected. Even my Doctors office spent months trying to contact them. Next step is small claims court if this isn't corrected. I will report them to the Federal Trade Commission too. You messed with the wrong person!!!!! read more

I was referred for an ultrasound. making the appointment was typically easy and the service itself was fine. but its been about 8 months since my service. I'm having billing issues and due a credit, the billing dept is over seas and has zero clue what billing is. and after i made payments to them, my insurance has paid 100% so I am due a refund. I've been following up with the billing team and they said it'll take 30-45 days to review my account!!! I am a medical biller, if I ever told a patient it'll take more than a day to review/correct their account, I'd be written up. 30-45 days is the worst customer service I'd ever experience. they were so quick to put me on a payment plan but are taking over a month to refund my money! and trying to get through to the office is impossible. I just keep getting the call center and there's nobody to hold accountable or escalate my issue. I've left a voicemail for compliance last week and have not heard back. I would not pay them any money up front and hope to never have to deal with billing questions. read more

(Could have called and told me that) So I had the scan and scheduled an appointment at another location for the X-ray. I arrived for the X-ray and waited 1 1/2 hours! they stated they are a walk-in location and they are short staffed. SimonMed, get your act together! Your office that handles scheduling is not local and they therefore do not schedule efficiently. You have two locations within blocks of each other: 4045 E Bell Rd, Phoenix, and 4219 E Bell Rd, Phoenix. I asked scheduling for the E Bell Rd location (thinking of the latter one, which is the only E Bell location of which I was aware). I was scheduled for the former one. When I showed up for my appointment, I was told that I was at the wrong location; that my appointment was at the E Bell location. What?? I told them I was AT the E Bell location, and she told me there was another one down the street. (I guess SimonMed calls the latter one the Paradise Valley location). I'm at your arrowhead location for my MRI. I booked the appointment 6 weeks ago online. The manager just informed me that I am going to have to wait because she just saw my appointment this morning and they double booked. To say I'm livid is an understatement. This is not right your online booking should be communicating with the application that's used in the office. Something has to be done to fix this issue. I'm refusing to go to this provider now and several of my docs are no longer sending there. The radiology techs have always been very nice and good at what they do, but nobody else in this company knows anything about being a medical business and functioning in the medical industry! The office staff is THE RUDEST most incompetent I've ever come across, they had no idea how to process a Care Credit payment, and never update all the info you have to provide each and every time you go there - even if it is only 2 weeks apart. Your info (like address) NEVER gets updated. Once you get there they make you pay a hefty portion of your procedure up front, even if it is supposed to be a covered screening! Forget arguing about it because they will not let you have your scan if you do not pay. Then after the claim is submitted you payment doesn't show up! You call and they tell you they have no record that you paid anything, so then you have to get a copy of your receipt to them via email. Then they tell you it'll be 45 days.... Oh, if that isn't bad enough, if Simon Med is In-Network for you, they will submit the claim under the radiologist's name who is OUT OF NETWORK! So your claim gets denied because it is an OUT OF NETWORK radiologist. When you call, if you can speak to someone who has a functional brain cell, they argue with you and tell you your insurance co is lying - even if you have the EOB with no mention of Simon Med. PS - it takes them 6 months to submit your incorrect claim so hold on for the long ride. NEVER AGAIN! read more

I felt this absolutely nightmare needed a through explanation. I hope this helps when others consider Simon Med for professional honest assistance. Also please note is isn't a complaint to any of the amazing technicians. It's strictly their schedulers, answering services as well as the front office at their Mountainview location in Arizona. Upon arrival I found out that due to the way the schedulers scheduled all my my orders they weren't able to perform all of my tests in one day in the order they scheduled all of them. Because of this mess and not knowing how to service me they called me back 2 hours later to start one of my tests. I was given a drink to consume because they said one of my tests was with contrast. I questioned this because I felt that the ones that needed to be done without contest should be done before I drank it. The receptionist assured me two and three times that I am too drink this right away. 30 mins later she said to me "you didn't drink that drink did you". I said "I absolutely did after double and triple checking with you". At this point the CT scan tech came back out and firmly told them to figure this out and brought me straight back to perform my first image and told them to reschedule any additional tests before April 1st, 2021. Prior to leaving the facility the receptionist rescheduled one of my MRI's for the following day & the other test for the day after the MRI. Later that evening I get a call from the Simon Med Receptionist that helped me earlier and she told me there is no order for the MRI that she scheduled me for. I was furious at this point and questioned as to why she gave me the paperwork for that image to be filled out and why she told me that this MRI was originally scheduled to be the first one done that day but didn't have time to do it. I told her to keep the appt scheduled because I don't trust them at this point and wanted to confirm with my doctor the following day and assured her that I would call and camel if needed. Upon confirming with my doctor and finding out that this was never ordered I also found out that the CT Scan that was preform was the wrong one. I advised the receptionist a number of times that the CT Scan that my pulmonologist ordered was to replace the one that was done and that is not what they did. So now I have to fight with Simon Med to get them to wave the fee for these images that weren't needed. After finding out that the test was never ordered I called Simon Med to cancel and waited on hold for quite awhile. Out of the blue an automated voice came on and said "sorry we aren't able to take your phone call" and then disconnected me. After that I got a txt message stating... "SimonMed Appointment:Thank you for reaching out to SimonMed To expedite your care we are reaching out to see how we can assist. Txt STOP to OptOut" (I copied and pasted that). They asked in a txt how they can assist but they don't allow you to respond on the message as to how they can assist. At this point I was over it and had no other way of canceling my appointment so I was a no show. Nervous about them canceling my other appointment that needed to be rescheduled the following day I called them again later that day. I got a representative on the phone and she said "are you confirming your appt for 1p today". This question once again caused me confusion considering it was around 5:30p ( well past my 1p scheduled time) because their system should show that it was a no show. Spent 8 hours calling them today on hold trying to speak to her supervisor but for some reason they kept sending me to Mia's voice mail. My sisters was having lung symptoms for months before her doctor decided to order imaging. Her CT scan done at SimonMed Imaging showed a large cancerous tumor in her lung. SimonMed took 9 days to deliver the results to the ordering physician. He called her on the 9th day at 9 pm. I wonder what happened to the Hippocratic oath? I made an appointment for 3 treatments with SimonMed. When I showed up per request, 30 min early at the address the scheduler gave me, the office told me that the treatments were at another office 25 miles away. They said they would call and tell the other office I was on the way. I arrived at the other office 6 minutes after the appointment and was asked to fill out paperwork. While filling out paperwork, I realized I had filled out the papers online. I talked to the receptionist and she said that I then didn't need to fill out the papers. While filling out papers, I was apparently overlooked for the appointment to have the treatment. Then I was told that I would have to wait 2 hours for the treatment. Then I was told that they did not schedule the other 2 treatments and that I would have to come back for another appointment. Summary: their mistakes caused me to 1) go to the wrong office, 2) miss the timing by 6 minutes which then cancelled my appointment; 3) Two treatments were not scheduled though they told me they were set; 4) waste 1/2 of my work day; 5) cause me to have to waste another 1/2 day to have the appointments rescheduled in 2 weeks (which for a mini-stroke is not really very appropriate). Please insist with your providers to NOT USE SIMONMED IMAGING- for your sake. read more

SimonMed customer service is the pits!! I am scheduled for an MRI that requires insurance approval. My insurance has not received a request for approval from SimonMed even though they repeatedly tell me it is pending. I tell them to please resend it and they simply don't. Don't care, no urgency, nothing. No one takes any responsibility whatsoever. After speaking with lots of people there, even in person, I get told one thing, then another, and promises that aren't kept. Booked an appointment online for an X-ray. Spent 30 minutes on their website filling information and answering questions. Arrived for my scheduled appointment on time. Checked in only to be told that they aren't doing online appointments anymore. Walk-in appointments only for X-rays and that it would be at least an hour wait. No where on the website explained this. Supposedly "a new program". Update your web site before changing your policies. The least they could have done is give those that scheduled an appointment priority. I will be making sure I go to a different imaging lab before using Simon Med Imaging. Also tried to speak to the office manager, not available. read more

Gave my insurance information SIX TIMES. They couldn't seem to see the doctors NPI on the form and asked me what it was.. I am the patient I don't have that handy. If I could give negative stars Limon Med Imaging would be my pleasure to issue. This company is the worst medical service provider I have had the displeasure of visiting or in my case attempting to visit. I have been trying to get an X-ray for the last week. For simple X-rays they don't and won't make an appointment and just offer just walk-in service. Well, the Laveen location told me on Monday that the machine was broken but was going to fixed soon, but not today. So I had them give me their business card with a phone number so I could call first. When I called two days later, the man answering the phone said he was at a central office and he could not call the location, but the machine was not showing out of service. The phone number was not for the location and was bogus like I was being ghosted at dance club. I didn't need a new relationship I needed x-rays. I went back to Laveen thinking the machine was repaired and it was not. The same staff became perturbed at me when they had to say it was still broken and would be weeks before it would available. How dare I ask? The Next day I went to a location on 19th Street and there was a big sign "no X-rays". I went in any way to ask why and was directed to North 3rd Street. When I arrived the sign said check-in across the hall. There were at least 20 people sitting with 10 people in line to check in. I then went to the other location of North 3rd street and check-in was real quick but was told they would not do the x-rays because they quit at 4 pm. They also don't have weekend appointments they don't care if their hours are not convenient. This is absolutely not acceptable to properly staff locations to service patients. I spent three days in rush hour traffic with zero results. So I decided to phone the patient coordinator to complain and my call went to a queue that said I would be" helped soon and my call was important", hogwash. I waited an hour listening to terrible music that more suited to a pornographic movie done by amateurs. Simon Med now owes me for my gas, and 3 hours time they have caused to be wasted. This poor level of service should be provided at no charge because the level of service is terrible. My last dealing with them also gives me reason to believe that they are more expensive than other x-ray providers in the Valley, that have better, more professional and patient compassioned staff. I'm taking my business elsewhere and suggest until they make appointments have Saturday hours for their services, anyone reading this should be considered forewarned and go elsewhere. read more

Shame on me for going a second time. Won't make that mistake again. My doctor sent the order for a CT scan and and after 3 weeks of not hearing back I called them. The customer service is again lacking. I was extremely frightened in the waiting room because of COVID as the waiting room was full and someone brought their child plus the seats were too close so I sat in my car until they were ready for me. I was also given erroneous information which caused me to come 30 minutes early. You can see why I went to my car. The procedure was fine is all the good I can say! read more

Half an hour later I was informed that I had to wait another half an hour to 45 minutes, this puts me in for about 1:45 minutes delay.
