I had an appointment for a Dexa bone density scan at the Anthem location December 6th at 8:45. After I arrived I heard the admin desk staff calling around to ask why no technician was here. After I'd been waiting half and hour they called me to the desk to tell me there was no technician here and she was just leaving her house and would be here soon. My time is valuable. Why didn't they tell me when I arrived so I could just reschedule? Very poor customer service. I've been waiting 45 minutes and still nothing. plus the two girls at the desk didn't even really care. It was like just another day of crappy customer service for all of us waiting for a bone scan. Not professional. And the appointment making was just as bad. read more

My Doctor ordered me a fairly emergent MRI and Simon Med Imaging called me the same day to schedule a reservation. They requested pre-auth from my insurance company and booked my reservation to allow adequate time to receive the pre-auth. The staff, including the office manager were very cordial, smiled and were genuine even though it was obvious they were busy. They stopped, focused on me as a patient and then went about their duties. Tana my technician was super with a great welcoming personality who would make any nervous patient (which I am not) at ease. Thank you Simon Med Imaging! When I fix my knee I am coming to you for my MRI. Oh and a tip is that x-rays are on a walk-in basis. They also have late hours accomodating working professionals. Only gave four stars because the bathroom and the waiting room were a bit in need of cleaning and attention. read more

I am I'm so much pain that I have not been in a car since getting out of the hospital on Thursday. My doctor ordered an X-ray with SpineMed. Knowing how painful a car ride would be I called ahead to make sure of the locations that would be open today (Saturday). I was given 4 locations that were open today. All of them were 30-60 minutes from my home. The first two were CLOSED. Called SpineMed and the woman could not tell me why they were closed. At 1:38pm I asked the woman to call the next one to make sure they were open. She said "I called and yes they are open until 4:00, maybe later ". I got there within 10 minutes and they were CLOSED. The last guy I called at SpineMed at 2:06 pm promised me he would get me into a facility that could do the X-ray today. After keeping me on the phone for nearly a half hour he said "I'm sorry but we don't have any open facilities today" What a waste of my time. I will NEVER use or recommend SpineMed to anyone. Your customer service is horrible. SpineMed management get your people that answer your phones trained to know their job and to be honest. They ALL were horrible and gave me bad information. Should have gotten their names, but regretfully I did not. I've had nothing but great experiences with SMIL. I will go there on Tuesday to get an X-ray. read more

Dont use SimonMed..... they will steal your money. I had an appointment scheduled and when i showed up the front desk told me that i had to pay $44 deductable. i had verified with my inshrance before arriving that there would be no deductable. The front desk said that if i dont pay them $44 they would cancel my appointment, so i paid. after my visit i contacted the SimonMed help line and was told i shouldnt have had to pay anything and that he would refund my money. the man on the phone said the refund would be mailed out and i should have it in 2 weeks. 2 weeks later no check called again... was told the same thing check was mailed and should have it in 2 weeks. I have now been calling every 2 weeks for the last 3 months. today i was told that the phone number that i have been calling is just a call center and that they dont even have my address to refund the money. this place is a scam. I also just found that the news ( phx channel 15) has done a story on SimonMed and how they have been doing this same thing to lots of people. read more

I brought my mom who has dementia to Simon med at 9403 Thunderbird. The front desk girl (and yes she was a girl needing to grow into maturity) Harlee, was absolutely rude. Literally told me to leave my mom alone in the waiting room while I waited outside after she revealed they were running 30-45 minutes late. I get it, COVID restrictions, but as an administrative nurse, I'd terminate any front desk person with zero customer service tact. I called for two days, unable to get anyone to answer their phones, so I left message for a callback each time, after waiting on hold/line for over 30 minutes both days. No call back. So I go online to book an appointment for mammogram and select my location, make appointment based on THEIR availability, and think I have an appointment. I call the place to confirm, as no email comes to my mailbox after waiting hours, and I get the single worst representative I have ever dealt with in my half a century on earth, Robert. Robert constantly deletes fields and asks me to repeat info like insurance info, provider, numbers, dates of birth...EVERYTHING...I feel frustrated. I am on phone for over 45 minutes with him to have him tell me the time I booked online is not available, and he gives me a date 2 weeks out. Then he changes THAT date to another date and time, as it became unavailable while he had me on phone so long! I may or may not have an upcoming appointment, because I am not confident Robert even set my appt. correctly, he asked me to repeat my diagnostic code several times. Robert also had so many dead air times on call I thought he had hung up! I will see if I even have appointment on the 17th...I am not very confident, and wonder if he is representative of the testing that may or may not be performed at appt time! These guys accounting department is ripoff. Every time I have gone in, they claim they need to collect for my deductible. But my medical plan has no deductible. When I tried to collect my money back they would not return my calls. When I had my insurance company call, they told them I had been credited to my credit card. That too was untrue, I never received my credit. I finally had to contact my credit card company and report the charge as false. Save your shelf time and money and use some other company for your medical imaging. read more

The automated system takes forever for you to speak to someone and when you speak with someone they don't listen to what you are asking them. I called to confirm my appointment time is and i ended up speaking with three different people. There phone system also does not allow you to dial the office at the location you are looking to speak with which caused me to be on the phone 15 minutes. I have absolutely no idea why I tried going back to this Company's facility. AGAIN, I waited an unexplained length of time in a cold room with no updates about why. For the last 7 years I have gone to Scottsdale Imaging. My doctor preferred I went to Simon med for a specific test and just after my phone experience I will never go to them again. When trying to make my appointment I had to make four attempts because after the individuals would take my information they would disconnect me. I spent a total of an hour and 45 minutes of wait time! When I finally got through someone booked the appointment at the incorrect location. They called me this morning and I had to call them and wait again. Not only did they mess up my original appointment they had to schedule me later which conflicted with other appointments I had. Their apology was as insincere as it could get. Plus 2 of the 4 CSR's were almost totally unable to understand because of their thick accent. So frustrated at this whole experience. If they can't even care enough to get this right then I don't care enough to EVER give them my business again. We came in on my sister's day off for an x-Ray and the staff said it would take 30 minutes. It's been 1.5 hours now and we are still here waiting. We keep asking them about what the issue may be so that we can leave if needed but we heard "15 more minutes" four times now. So the poor customer service aside, this is not a very nice waiting area and inefficient spacing for the amount of people they take in. It's definitely a money grabbing business model- let as many people in, stuff them, and keep saying "15 minutes" for the wait time. Never again. read more

Salina called me in for my appointment right on time. When I expressed my concern over not wanting this procedure she responded by saying she was not convinced I needed it either. We did another ultra-sound and after confirmation from the doctor it was decided not to proceed with the Fine Needle Aspiration that I was dreading. Appointment was made 10 days in advance, 15 hours before scheduled appointment Simon Med calls me and says they can't do the MRI with contrast at that location so cancelled appt. I called Doctor's office they again contacted Simon Med and found an opening a day later, so appt made. Went to location 30 minutes early and have been sitting here for over 2 hours and still don't know if I will ever be seen!!!! What a joke this place is!!! read more

After being on the line, scheduling the appointment spending a total of 1 hour and 40 minutes i was told my provider had to schedule the appointment. I asked for a manager, after another 10 minutes i was told they were all in a meeting. I asked to have someone call me back to confirm the appointment we had scheduled. I just got a call asking me to call them back again to schedule the appointment. So here goes another huge chunk of time. They stink. read more

Go literally any place for imaging instead of SimonMed. Nothing was easy, i felt a lack of respect for my time and 0% care for the experience during my visit. I've never experienced anything quite like what i experienced today at SimonMed. I'll start by saying the scheduling weeks ago was a (to put it nicely) 'clunky experience' but with some deep breaths I got through it and received a confirmation of my appointment via text. However, I showed up as scheduled and my appointment was canceled due to some internal reason. I was not notified of the canceled appointment. I was then told to go back home and was rescheduled for a later appointment the same day. Again, I showed up for my appointment on time, waited in line again to check in and waited again until i was admitted. 1 hour and 15 minutes after my scheduled time, i was admitted back to wait again for my assigned technician. I spent a total of 3 hours at this facility today + an hour of driving = 4 hours for an ultrasound that took about 5 minutes. The best news is that I don't have breast cancer. What if all of that had happened and then I got bad news?! What about the people who have life threatening issues and they are treated the way i was today? We deserve more and i feel so bad for anyone else who needs to have imaging done and ends up here. read more

Came in for a 7:00AM CT scan appointment (scheduled online) and the nice receptionist lady checked me in without issues. At 7:56AM, the receptionist lets me know the CT scan tech did not show up and someone else would be "on their way in 20 minutes". At 8:40AM, I finally got called back. What is the point of setting up appointments if you have to wait 1 hour and 15 min for a 20 min procedure, ridiculous!! And to top it off when you step up to the front desk to make sure they didn't forget about you, they say," I'll be with you in a minute" while continuing a conversation about being ready to go home! One particular receptionist continued to do this with EVERY patient. Finally after standing there for a few minutes I had to interrupt. They give no explanation as to why the wait is so long. I noticed an elderly woman with same issue, she was there longer than me and fell asleep in her chair. Either they need to train their staff at better customer service or they just don't care! Went in Monday for scan and was told that the test I needed was a special test and that I needed to schedule another test appointment. Ok. So I scheduled another appt today, Went in for procedure they told me that they could not do the procedure again and the chemical they needed had to be ordered. I asked why they didn't tell me when I was there 3 days earlier, no answer. I live out of town and takes me 3 hours to get there. The staff doesn't think about how to help they just don't think. I would not recommend this place ever . I was pregnant and because of some emergency I had to go for ultrasound as my obgyn ultrasound tech was not available that day. The ultrasound tech at Simonmed was not experienced. She did not allow me to see my own baby on their screen. I asked that lady if everything with baby is ok . She said I am not allowed to tell you anything but she did not let me see my own baby . I had the glimpse that the baby's heart wasn't beating. But she moved the screen and did not let me see anything . She was rude. read more

I take off work and get to my appointment only to find out they scheduled me for the wrong test. They tell me they can't do the test today and try to schedule me for a month out. Service here was very quick and easy. I had to get a last minute chest x-ray and was referred to this location. I came in as a walk-in, did paperwork, paid, and was seen in less than 10 minutes. The x-ray technician was very friendly as well. My results were sent in to my physician in 1 business day, so I was very happy about that! read more
