I came here yesterday to get a CT scan requested from my PCP. I was a little confused about all the negative reviews after I had my appointment because my experience was quite the opposite. Yes, I had a small issue scheduling due to an insurance issue, but it was resolved quickly and my original appointment was re-booked without any issue. I arrived 30 minutes early, like they asked, pre-filled out my paperwork online, like they asked, and was greeted right away by a friendly employee who checked me in and took my payment. Keep in mind I was there about 40 minutes earlier then my appointments schedule time and I waited a whopping ~10 minutes for another employee to come get me, take me to the exam room and completed my CT scan quickly, efficiently and very professionally. By the time I drove back home, back into the valley, it was barely past the starting time for my actual appointment. read more

My husband scheduled a scan here, rearranged his entire schedule to make the appointment, took the necessary required medications, and they canceled an hour before the appointment, saying their equipment wasn't working. He rescheduled for a week and a half later (again rearranged his schedule and took the meds) and again they canceled an hour before the appointment. He gave them the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled a third time. Guess what happened? He again rearranged his schedule, again took the meds, and you guessed it! Horrific place! Terrible Receptionist! I stood at the front desk for 5 minutes before my presence was acknowledged (with no one else in front of me waiting or anything). The girl at the desk was on her computer and just didn't bother looking up or saying a word. She finally asked if I was there for imagining or Sollis (no hi. hello, etc). She then says they aren't open for another 5 minutes. Told me to wait. I advised that I was instructed on the phone and by text to arrive 15 minutes early to complete paperwork. No one ever said anything about not opening until 8am. Asked why. No answers provided. I sat down and waited. Why not say any of that when I first arrived? Why ignore me? Why schedule me for 8am if you know you won't start operations until after 8am? Then the simple Doppler scan of my lower left leg checking for blood clots was actually fine. The young lady completing that task was courteous and efficient. I'm grateful for her. Front desk receptionist was far below quality customer service and a true disappointment and a horrible way to start the day. One other issue : I was needlessly rescheduled twice because they supposedly hadn't received my insurance preauthorization, even though everyone else involved did receive it the same day requested (doctors office, scheduler, etc). read more

Super shocked to see so many negative reviews - just came on Monday for my son Kingston's MRI they were super helpful, and quick to see us. Also, used this location last year for my older son who also need led an MRI for sport injury and they were perfect and efficient then as well - no wasted time and front desk was pleasant. Hopefully don't need any more of these MRIs but if I do this will be my spot. read more

Well the rating is more with the scheduling dept. I talked to 3 reps- First one Diane who told me the Beverly Hills office does not do CT Scanograms. I called back and talked to another rep that said they did. I asked for a supervisor named Joleen. She gave me the run around for 15 minutes asking so many questions. I tried to make an appt but she was very unprofessional with a bad attitude and & had terrible communication skills so I had to leave the call. What a waste of time. I cannot imagine the issues I would have had if I even went into the office. read more

RUN AWAY, don't walk, don't even bother calling JUST RUN AWAYYYY. This imaging center is run by children who don't have the slightest bit of brains or respect for anyone else but themselves. Had a 12 o'clock appointment, the office calls at 11:50 "are you on your way" i say "yes we're parking, we'll be there in a moment." We get inside and are told that the entire team went to lunch and we'll have to wait. Ok so why did you call me to rush me? and why didn't you tell me your office goes to lunch at 12? My 70 year old father drove an hour and half, and had already administered the medication they told him to take for the imaging. So what now? I'm supposed to wait and retake that medication? no explanation, no care in the world... the answer was "we'll they're out to lunch so you can wait or leave." Sent them to hell and back. If zero stars were an option, I would choose it. I called ahead to get a cash self-pay price, which was clearly approved by their representative. When I arrived, they changed the price on me. I spoke with management, and they confirmed that the representative did approve and note the agreed-upon price in my account, yet they still refused to honor it. I drove 45 minutes to get there, spent another 45 minutes for them to get approval from my insurance since they changed my cash pricing and the insurance deductible now makes more sense to go with and now I have to drive 1 hour 15 minutes back home due to rush hour traffic. This place has no respect for patients' time or for their own word. Unfortunately, this isn't my first experience here, and every single visit has involved some kind of issue. On top of that, the staff has consistently been unprofessional and rude. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere. read more

They asked to get there early and then had me wait 2.5 hours without any heads up, any excuse or explanation. Then after the MRI (350$) they said they could email me the results immediately but preferred to do the next morning because it was close to closing time and they wanted to pack up for the day. It's now the next day and I've now been on the line with SimonMed for an hour trying to get my results emailed because the receptionist forgot. Absolutely TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The front desk lady KATRINA is extremely slow and unqualified. It took her AN HOUR AND A HALF to confirm my copay, then told me I had to wait even longer to get my X-ray. I was there on time, they had my insurance on file prior to the appointment and still made me wait almost TWO HOURS. They completely overbooked the office was very stuffy and hot. But most of all the front office lady Katrina is unbearable, has no idea what she's doing and should be removed from her position. read more

Multiple phone calls and text messages *today* reminding me to walk-in for an x-ray my doctor ordered. I checked the x-ray waiting list for this particular location *today* just minutes before I left the house to get it done. I get there, and nobody is at the front desk. Fine. People have to eat. Wait about 15 minutes. When she comes back, she blithely informs me that they are not doing x-rays at this location today, because the tech is somewhere else. This doesn't seem like a surprise. The tech isn't out sick. They just are not at *this* location today. As I'm walking back home, I get another phone call from SimonMed reminding me to come on in for that x-ray! Literally 30 seconds after I angrily walked out of their sh*tty office. 1.5 hours out of my day entirely wasted. The lowest possible hanging fruit would be to post a message to your x-ray waiting list that, oh I dunno, THERE ARE NO X-RAYS TODAY. I wouldn't trust SimonMed to x-ray a bag of dog sh*t at this point. F* you, SimonMed. Fix your sh*tty systems so you don't waste everyone's time. read more

This location is awful. Rude reception staff, I went there 3 days in a row to try and get an xray. First day I waited 15 minutes for the receptionist to come back from wherever she was only to be told the xray machine was broken, come back tomorrow. Okay. I return the following day to be told the machine is still broken, come back Monday Well since the company texts and leaves me a voicemail everyday telling me to come in for my scan, and they know the location I've been directed to, perhaps that information could be relayed in these messages. I return Monday and am told "sorry you're 10 minutes past the cut off time for walk ins" I said it's my third day there, "yea sorry ". Okay another piece of information that should have been relayed either the last time I was turned away or in the 6 messages they've sent me. Oh and by the way you are not allowed to make an appointment for rays. They are walk ins only. Not even a shred of remorse from the staff. How odd there's a low rating. It was a walk in so I got in pretty quickly. They couldn't find my lab order but the office sending me here expected that so I came prepared. Make sure to move your car to their parking lot to avoid a ticket. X ray went normal and I was provided a hard copy on CD-ROM. Great bedside manner, no issues whatsoever. read more

They give you one price before the procedure, a month later you discover they made a claim for an amount exactly 10 times more to your insurance. This place is a big scam. No way to contact whoever is responsible for the charge, the billing department says it's the facility that charges, the facility says contact the billing. AVOID this place. I had originally given SMI a very good review on google, but since my xray request was listed as urgent and it has been 4 days and my doctor has still not received the results, this isn't reliable performance. I did just call them directly and they promised to send results today but, really? The office experience was good, the technician was very nice, I have no complaints in this area. Really bad customer service. Like amateur hour at reception. Apparently they can't do basic tasks like print an itemized receipt. Although they claim "walk in" xray - the paperwork (just for an ankle xray) takes forever. They ask a bunch of questions the answers to which are all on the order. Get in to the exam room, and I note that the order is for weight bearing, the tech says "oh we can't do that here". A complete waste of time. read more

They do unsolicited forensic on their MRI report that will destroy your PI case if you have an accident. Such as they decide to determine your injury is related to your accident without providing what is the causation of your injury is. To me they overstep their medical jurisdiction and they refuse to answer your calls as they have endless waiting time. As for their floor staff i had dealt with floor manager Nathan who was escapist and dodged his managerial duties. The lot only has a handful of reserved spots for them so hope you can grab a meter because the neighborhood is permit parking only. Second, the MRI machine is very old and was malfunctioning all and instead of calling to reschedule, they had to end my scan early because the machine broke down. Now I have to go back for the last 5 minutes and deal with them again. Third, because the MRI was down most of the day, I had to wait an hour and 45 minutes just to get called back. Had an MRI here. The waiting room has been redone since the images on yelp. Staff was very nice. I knocked off a star bc their self pay price is about $150-$200 more than other facilities in the area. If you're paying with cash, know that imaging is a commodity and you'll get the same images anywhere. If you have insurance and need someone in network and this place is in network for you - I recommend it. read more

I see a lot of bad reviews here, but I had an amazing experience. I was lucky enough to get a parking spot in the back. If I had not, finding one would have been challenging, given the neighborhood and construction. I walked into the waiting room, which was spotless and completely zen with a bookshelf of art books. I had zero wait time. I went back, and the tech was friendly and helpful and made me feel completely safe and comfortable. Honestly, I kept thinking this is too good to be true. I've spent hours waiting in other radiology offices, but I was in and out here in 15 minutes. I haven't yet received the report, but it's only been less than 24 hours. The people that do the scans at Simon Medical are amazing. The issue is that their patient portal SUCKS. They do not respond to doctors asking for the scans. When you download from the patient portal it does so in an unreadable file and the system does not allow. you to share with your doctor. So basically, they have no problem charging for the tests but it is IMPOSSIBLE to get it to your doctor. It has taken me numerous texts, calls and emails to finally get someone to help and the question still remains if when I go to pick up the test results tomorrow (which I now have to pay for, since they are incapable of sending) -will they actually be waiting for me while I fill out all the paperwork or not. If I was a betting girl I would say probably not. From what I have gathered they are very, very, very aware about their useless portal and don't care in the slightest. read more

The billing is a complete scam. Needed an X-ray of lumbar X-ray and was forced to also get an Eye x-ray to prevent the potential for metal in the eye. Was told that I would not be responsible for it. It was a precaution and they needed to make sure. I went ahead had both x-rays after paying my insurance co-pay and left. That was over six months ago. 10 days ago or so, I get 2 final notices for two separate bills. No explanation or billing detail. I never received anything prior to this. Now, you need to contact them and it's very difficult to get anyone to actually be able to help you and send you a copy of the detailed billing, so one can see that they might be paying for something they were told they wouldn't be responsible for. The amount owed , is not worth wasting hours on the phone trying to get someone to help you. So you decide to give up and pay in order to avoid been sent to collection. Well, this time something should be done. Might be worth the time finding out how many people were told something similar in the past, where they tell you, you need an additional exam as a preventive reason and then they are charging you for something no doctor sent you there for. When you force people to get exams they did not ask for, sounds like maybe some government agency should be looking into this practice of yours. Hmmm? read more
