I came to this facility, I was a little unorganized and the staff helped me right away, made me feel very comfortable and welcome. Ive had a few visits here and every time these people have helped me and made good. I really appreciate these staff, BEATRIZ, ELGIN , & ROSA I truly appreciate all of you and the staff there. They KEPT my ID. They returned my insurance card only. I could only assume the receptionist still needed it. They made no attempt to return it before or after the exam. I live 10 miles away, I got home to a voice mail saying "you forgot your ID come pick it up so I now I have to go all the way back there. Returning the insurance card and ID has to be one of the most basic responsibilities of the job. This guy just set it aside returned the insurance card with the paperwork only no explanation. He said he was "sorry". sorry doesn't pay for the time and money spent going back there. They should offer to return the ID by courier. when I called back I got the scheduling department who refused to give me a name to write a letter to complain to then procrededto to blame me for "forgetting to ask for it back" Handing over valid identification and not returning it then pivoting to blame the customer is a violation of trust. When you get your scan done there ask yourself what other things might the staff there so casually disregard. People at medical front desks need to be professional and take their jobs seriously. I see lots of doctors and get lots of scan and never once was my ID KEPT without returning it. I was there another 20 minutes doing the scan but the place is not laid out so that I would pass the front desk, when finished, from wkat I can tell he left the voice mail while I saw as getting scaneed and was too lazy to get up and walk over to the technician and say he still had my ID. When the scan is over your not thinking about paperwork and IDs so accusing the customer of being the one who "forgot" is highly unprofessional and rude. They should emphatically take responsibility and return what they so casually disregarded. If they had called.and emphatically aplgized for not returning it rather than putting it on me I my reaction would have been far more accepting I will never accept a referral there ever again. read more

Mink Imaging Beverly Hills had some mix up with my appointment. They first sent me to a wrong location which had no availability during my appointment time. Then, they booked me for 11 PM vs 11 AM. I arrived to the front and it was looking like I might have issues and a far late date BUT they were able to squeeze me in after revisiting the schedule multiple times. Although unfortunate with the mix ups, they did right by getting me in since I was already at the office. Additionally, friendly service and clean office. Waiting on results for the diagnosis. Absolutely horrible experience. Initially had a mix up about what scan my doctor ordered and had to be on hold for over and hour and a half, and they made me go through insurance again, and shockingly the insurance people were nicer than them, which never happens! Finally got a nice person on the phone who told me I could have a bigger machine due to claustrophobia and could probably wear my own clothes. However, as soon as I got there, I was presented with the paperwork for the outdated scans after all that work clearing up the mistake on the phone, then I was told by an extremely rude and non-understanding staff member that under no circumstances would I be able to wear my own clothes and I would be in a normal sized machine. So the person on the phone was lying. My past MRIs were perfectly fine experiences, everyone was nice and understanding about the obviously unpleasant nature of this procedure, I could wear my own clothes, I was offered headphones with music I could choose, I was informed when the scan was halfway through over the loudspeaker, and there was a mirror in the machine reflecting the back of the room to help with claustrophobia. This place is completely behind the times, no music, shitty foam earplugs, tiny machine. I think I actually went slightly deaf in one ear from the noise. Turns out they could have actually notified me halfway through when it was done they just didn't give me the option. The staff administering the MRI were some of the rudest and coldest people I have ever encountered. They acted like me showing any kind of emotion or distress was shocking and they responded as coldly as if they were in a courtroom. I get that this is their day to day so it doesn't seem scary for them, but they need to have SOME degree of bedside manner and remember that people are getting MRIs because they are having health problems, and are obviously not coming into this super excited and calm. If you are on the autism spectrum or have any kind of sensory issues, as well as issues with doctors/medical trauma, I would highly recommend choosing a different facility. Not only are the accommodations lacking, the staff are incredibly rude and cold about anyone expressing human emotion and not just succumbing to their will like a corpse. I was at this facility for 2 consecutive MRI's. As is typical rooms are usually on the cold side and I requested a blanket. The bed was heated. Together (no intermission!) total time was estimated to be no more than one hour. No problem, I've had numerous MRI's and I'm not claustrophobic. About 20 minutes from completion the bed went from warm to very very hot. I began to sweat. I was able to kick off the blanket but that provided little relief. I squeezed the 911 bulb that's provided to patients in the event of a problem. The machines are very noisy + the room is soundproof so yelling for the technician is fruitless. I kept squeezing the 911 bulb and no one responded. Typically, a nurse or technician hearing or seeing the alarm would come on the intercom to ask what has occurred. I received no response whatsoever. If I was of a different mindset I would have panicked. It became so hot I felt that I was close to passing out. Thus horrible discomfort ended when the session ended- I endured around 20 minutes of total misery. When the technician came into the room I asked, in a voice less than polite, did he not hear my panic button. They did not. And the reason why will alarm you- THE ALARM WASN'T WORKING!!! If I needed any "proof" that my body was unstable as a result of being overheated it occurred in the changing room when immediately started barfing onto the gown on the floor. Per the pre-op instructions I had not eaten for over 4 hours prior to the 5 pm start time. I needed several minutes to recover. Yesterday I called Mink and requested to speak with the manager to discuss faulty equipment. After holding for 10 minutes waiting for the manager to get to the phone I hung up. Shortly thereafter I called again. A different individual took my contact info and said she would speak to the manager. I NEVER RECEIVED A RETURN CALL. I'm presenting this as a cautionary tale. First, whenever you are in a medical situation that has a call button for help, give it a test before your become TRAPPED as I was. Once again they screw up, i was scheduled for ct scan, they mis calendar as a mri, make me wait an hour until they realized error then scramble , change entire process( need to drink contrast, wIt etc.)screw up entire day schedule. Six weeks ago scheduled mri-told on chemo drip device into port in chest. Advised them 5 times in advance of drip and port, arrive, wait 1.5 hours till called, change into gown, wait and then radiologist wakes up to port issue and cancels. Go elsewhere read more

I went to take my mom to her ultrasound appointment and I must say the ultrasound tech was amazing!! I believer her name was belle. My mom has always been so nervous to go to medical appointments but belle made her feel so comfortable during her exam. She explained the exam thoroughly and made us feel at ease with her exam. I asked for the Privacy Policy terms regarding sensitive data and the business didn't know what it is. I went to a second Mink location that is in partnerships with Cedars Senai in Beverly Hills and their Privacy Data was from 2020 as the last update. I called the point of contact Laura Foster stated on the policy three (3) times in the last 2 weeks and no one called back. I left three voicemails. I need to opt out of certain selling and sharing of information which I am entitled to per California law. And the business does not seem to be complying with my consumer rights. I would not entrust my sensitive data to the chain. The "parent" company RADNET. When I call there, the representatives don't even know the company name besides the trade name RADNET. A lot of medical information is sold to other companies for research these days. If the company still uses the laws of 2020 and does not have anyone to answer a question regarding concerns, I would not go there. The representative was helpful in rescheduling my appointment to a different location. But the only way she verified my identity was by asking my date of birth. Which means to me, anyone can walk in and mess up my medical data, if they wanted to. She also printed my medical order file and number and gave it to me without any verification of my identity. So, anyone knowing my date of birth could just walk in and get the print out on everything confidential In my file this way. Terrible!!!!! Hence, the privacy concerns also regarding my upcoming tests. I had no choice but to cancel this and any other location in the chain of Mink and RADNET. read more

Absolute worse office experience I have ever had--and that's before I've even scheduled an appointment!! They claim they have "submitted" a request for authorization, but my insurance company claims they never got it--because Mink keeps submitting the request to the wrong office. I ask to speak with the pre authorization office to make sure they submit the request to the right office, but I am told they don't have a number for the department, which is clearly a lie! I ask to speak with a manager, who promises to look into it and respond, but never responds. I call back and ask to speak with that manager's superior and I am told he'll call back and never does and when I call back, he's in a meeting!! Save yourself the grief and go elsewhere. I will be filing a complaint with consumer affairs and the medical board. read more

I went in today for a CT scan and all went well. The staff were all helpful and smiles. I like that we could do some of the paperwork prior to the appointment which made check in easier. The wait wasn't long but there were quite a few people in the waiting area. Overall I would recommend! The only thing I would change are the elevator buttons! Making an appointment is a NIGHTMARE- I made an appointment online that was mysteriously cancelled, and when I called to figure out what was going on I had to talk to three different people, only one of whom gave a crap and didn't sound like a robot.... But he couldn't help me. Finally made a second appointment that wasn't cancelled in error, and when I got there I learned that the parking structure is *valet only* - so if you don't want to valet your car, park on the street. The check in staff was mediocre, not rude, but rushed through things like I'm expected to know what's going on like someone who does this every day. Finally when I got to the tech (MRI) staff, they were nice, spoke to me like a human being, and were clear in explaining the process. Note to all the other staff: be like them. Most patients don't make appointments or show up for radiologic imaging every day- a little patience and understanding goes a long way. After all, if not for us, you wouldn't have a job. read more

Website is poorly built and patient portal is hard to navigate, images of scans are blurry. Customer support line yields multiple departments, exhausting AI, and long wait times. just . I'm a cancer patient and I had to ask MRI techs to wear a mask to protect me and then subsequently had to ask a second time. While other MRI facilities offer music I was told NO by my tech. My bone density report summary was poorly done and incomplete. I'll be looking for a new team to do all my MRI's and bone density tests moving forward. In this country when we pay huge dollars for health related scans we should expect more from groups like this. read more

I just had an abdominal CT scan and I am LIVID!!!!! I have had tests at this location over the years and have generally felt that this place is run well, but NOT after my experience today! I told the technician that I was wearing an underwire bra and would quickly remove it. She didn't want to wait 10 seconds and told me it was "unnecessary" to remove it. After the test, I read on several medical sites that the underwire metal can interfere with test results. There was no reason NOT to remove it since it can interfere with results! Yes, there is a radiology site that says "interference is minimal" but when having such a test, why would I want the possibility of ANY interference at all , that's right, even "minimal" interference, just because the tech didn't want to wait 10 seconds for me slip my bra off. Then there's this, which is even more irresponsible: I realized after the tech left the room and I was in the process of the CT scan that I had NOT been offered a thyroid cover! Thyroid covers are not just for people with thyroid disease. They are for anyone who would like to avoid the possibility of thyroid disease, i.e. EVERYONE. There is no excuse for not routinely offering a thyroid cover to EVERY patient who is getting any kind of radiology test unless it's a test to look specifically at the thyroid! My mother recently fractured her wrist and went to urgent care. She was given a thyroid cover when they x-rayed her HAND. That's how it should be! Today, I had a large dose of radiation (depending upon how the tech did the scan it's between THREE and EIGHT years' worth of exposure) with no thyroid cover due to Mink not doing due diligence for patients. I mentioned it to the tech when I was getting up from the test, and she said, "Oh, it's a low dose of radiation!" WHAT? It's NOT a "low dose" WebMD states "the chance of getting a fatal cancer from any one scan is about 1 in 2000. Some organs are more sensitive to radiation than others. It tends to do more damage to cells that grow and divide quickly. The breasts, lungs, thyroid gland, and bone marrow all have fast-dividing cells, so they are more sensitive than other body parts..." Why would I want ANY unnecessary radiation to affect my thyroid when handing a thyroid cover to the patient protects from around 80% of it? I am given a thyroid shield at the dentist's office for x-rays, and that is a MUCH lower dose than what I had today at Mink -- 3 days' worth for the dental x-rays compared with 3 to 8 YEARS worth that I received today concentrated in a few moments:( Take care of people, do the right thing, Mink! Make sure the tests will be as accurate as possible by letting a patient remove an underwire bra before a CT scan and for the sake of protecting people's health, offer lead thyroid covers to people who are getting tests that will create scattered radiation of the thyroid. Do not go to this place. If you see a Mink Radiology center literally pass it asap because they can't even do something as simple as make a request to authorize your insurance to see them for a CT Scan. I had an emergency situation. I called them right after I saw my doctor. They received the prescription for a CT scan. They said they were going to send it to my insurance a week later when I thought I was going to be able to see them for this emergency matter, they didn't even send it to the insurance company. Which means they didn't even do the first part of their own job to allow me to even see them. A total waste of time! Poor service on every level. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Office is clean and comfortable. Parking sucks. There are only 12 spots for self parking in the garage and they're all claimed by 9am so only valet left. $5 with validation. Parking management won't take Chase credit card as payment. read more

40 mins on the phone to make an appointment. On the day, took me in 45 mins late (at 9:30am!). Told me MRI would last 40 mins but was well over an hour. Didn't inform me in advance where the free parking was so I paid $26. This place, since they got acquired, has gone downhill. read more

This place is absolutely terrible. From the receptionists to the schedulers and everyone else involved. We've come to this place for 2 MRIs and both times have had our appointments dropped with no notifications, only to show up at our time and date and be turned away. Time is of the essence here and these low IQ workers are not only unable to function and perform simple tasks but are flat out combative and offer up no solutions to issues they caused all on their own. Whether this is negligence or something else entirely the whole process is cumbersome and overly complex but when you do finally get in for your MRI it feels like you've won an Olympic game, that's right the barriers here are that intense. If I could give 0 stars I would. If you can find another center with better reviews I'd go there, just filter to the most recent reviews and see what folks are saying - there's a common thread. My wife and I ended up scheduling another MRI at a competing business while we were in the waiting room on our 2nd visit in just minutes. It was literally easier to call up another business and schedule an MRI for the next day than deal with these inept and hostile employees. I'd recommend you do the same. read more

The radiologist who read my lower abdomen hernia imaging threw in their opinion of my "enlarged heart" sending me on a wild goose chase to the cardiologist who said imaging for the heart is a completely different test and there was no need to include that. read more

The worse experience ever. The people who answer the phone are incompetent, scheduling aweful and receptioninsts couldnt care less. I scheduled 2 MRI's which needed pre auth according to them. My insurance said no need for pre auth. Mink confirmed my appointment and said if there was an issue they'll call me. I got another confirmation text. I dragged myself with accute back pain to the facility, where they said they didnt receive authorization yet (???). So I said ok I'll pay and get reimbursed later. They said you cant because we cancelled your appointment. whaaat? Not only no one informed me but i kept getting confirmation texts and emails.i told them I was in pain and it was urgent and no one called me to tell me notvto come. They didnt care. We filed an official complained with the medical board. This place needs to be reviewed. read more

I've gone to Mink many times over the years with no complaints. But this time I went for simple walk-in x-rays of my hips. It took about a week to get the report on my left hip and 13 days to get the report on my right hip. I had to reschedule my follow up appointment with my physiatrist because of this. read more

Use to be a WONDERFUL PLACE WHEN DR MINK OWNED IT. Rad Net has taken over & ruined all customer service. The front desk is hostile & quote how many mins the patient is LATE. I watch Elgin the male at the front desk argue with a patient who said she was 5mins late!!! He insisted she was 6 mins late & that's why they CANCELED her appt !!! I called to complain but was only given the run around. When I find the corporate office number I will post it. Sad sick & injured people were treated so poorly by the FRONT OFFICE. Dr Jerrold Mink doesn't care about your health. First, a nightmare of an experience having as scan done. One without contrast one with. The one with contrast was never performed because the te h wasn't skilled and could not find my vein. After I drank a gallon of water she refused to even try. The doctor in charge refused to speak us and instead conveyed a message thru the receptionist asking us to leave. It should be noted that we were polite yet firm in our request to perform the needed test. Fast forward to getting the test results for the one scan taken. EPIC FAIL. while they promised to promptly deliver the cd w results to my hematologist they never did. Four weeks later and after many calls I went there myself to pick it up and deliver myself. They have caused unnecessary delays which could adversely impact my health. DO NOT GO HERE. Zero stars read more

This is the worst run medical facility . They scheueled me for 11pm instead of 11 am. confirmed appt. When I came on time at 11 am, they never said, sorry mistake, they let me sit for hours with bad back, "fitting me in for appt THEY scheduled me for.". No one had the decency or respect for my time, to tell me and let me make the choice. Instead I got three different versions of the story. . This is not the first problem with Mink in MDR. Both Offices. Go to SM or Cedars, worth the drive and will take less time in the long run. I am surprised Cedars tolerates this behavior. read more

initially I got mixed information when I phoned in twice inquiring about a STAT ultrasound. Decided to go into the Marina del Rey location to check if a walk-in appt was possible. This is where we came across OSCAR compassionate and more importantly skilled at his job. Breema performed the imaging and was sweet and skilled. The scheduling staff is incompetent and rude. I was put on hold for 15 minutes and then hung up on twice in a row. On the third call, someone told me I had to call another number to schedule my MRI. They were nice enough to call someone at that facility, but then accidentally hung up on me again. When I called back and complained that I'd been hung up on three times and had just spent 45 minutes on hold, the woman who answered said she would hang up on me if I didn't "move on from the past." It took about an hour to be told there were no appointments that would work for my schedule. A complete waste of time, plus they will threaten to hang up on you if you complain. read more

i just had an MRI at mink radiology at 84236 west third. scheduling was impossible; it took more more than 5 calls to finally get my exam arranged. the staff at west third was very good and they gave me a disc of my exam--which was appreciated. the radiologist, kevein hoover who read the exam made an error regarding the date of a comparison MRI---and it took me over an hour to reach him and have the error corrected. the error was, in my opinion, due to radiologist sloppiness by dr. hoover. if i have an option, i will always choose cedars mark taper imaging over mink. how sad. mink used to be excellent; now it is too big, and it's quality has deteriorated significantly. avoid mink radiololgy if possible. read more

So, I did an MRI at Mink Radiologic Beverly Hills on 08/29/2022. I am reading the report that says that I am claustrophobic and have moved a lot, so my study is limited. This is a complete lie. I am not claustrophobic and they didn't mention anything about it. This is the second MRI that I get there with similar comments blaming the patient for their lack of expertise. I am a professional martial artist and I have done many MRI's at Cedars Sinai and have never seen any report blaming me for moving. I just canceled two more MRI's that I had with them for next week and scheduled them at Cedars. Stay away from this place. They will blame you for their mistakes! read more
