Communication between offices about paperwork YOU require would be sufficient. Nobody did anything to ensure the paperwork was correct and complete prior to my appointment date/time. I showed up waited 35 mins to be told the tech will not do the 1 test because they couldn't get the paper of the 2nd test. Mind you these are STAT tests. I personally drove over to the other office to have the paper printed and faxed back to Simon med so I can hand deliver it. Which would not have been an issue if I was notified more than AN HOUR before my check in time. Now this caused me to miss my appointment by being refused service, took up 2 appointment slots someone else could have had and delayed my test for 10 more days. Although you understand my concern and offered me to talk to the tech, there is no office manager contacting me, ensuring that their employees and staff will be trained properly to avoid this happening again in the future. This has to be the worst managed company. My 90-year-old mother needed an x-ray. I took her to that Arrowhead one after checking online mind you you cannot make appointments for x-rays and this was on a Saturday I get her out of the car with her walker we get in there. We are not doing x-rays at this location today. Why does your website not specify that. They referred us to 54th Ave. and Thunderbird I drive over there again get my 90-year-old mother out of the car go into Simon imaging on the lower level after waiting in line were told we have to go upstairs take my mother upstairs again we wait in line get up to the counter and are told that there will be a 2 1/2 hour wait because they are doing bone density scanning until 11 o'clock. I said no we're not waiting 2 1/2 hours. We'll try to go on Monday take her back downstairs to the car as she is making the transition from the concrete to the asphalt she falls. No one around I get her up. She is physically shaken and we call it a day now it's Monday appointment on Wednesday. I need the x-ray. I put my mother in the car and drive to the Arrowhead location arrive there at 4:20., to be told they are not taking any more x-rays today. The tech needs to leave at 4:30. I asked why this was not posted on the website. They couldn't tell me. We had a few words as this is the worst run company I asked for a manager I was given a card. Tomorrow, I will be calling the doctor getting a hardcopy referral and going to a different company. I say run from this place never look back. Do not understand why you cannot make an appointment for an x-ray. They don't care about you. They know you're in a situation where you need an x-ray. I've now been turned away three times by SimonMed despite having a valid referral for a thoracic spine x-ray and being in daily pain. Each time, I followed their instructions--calling ahead to confirm they take walk-ins, checking hours, asking specifically if they had a tech on-site for this kind of x-ray. Each time, I was misinformed or dismissed: First visit: told no qualified tech was present. Second visit: told they don't do this x-ray on weekends (despite being told otherwise by customer service). Third visit: I arrived well before the stated cutoff time, only to be told the tech was "too backed up" and they weren't taking more patients. This isn't just a minor inconvenience--this is neglectful. If I had something serious going on, like a tumor or spinal deterioration, this delay could impact my long-term health. When I expressed my concern, the front desk told me my referral is good for a year. I wouldn't wish a year of untreated spinal pain on anyone. I've filed formal complaints with the Arizona Department of Health Services and their internal compliance office, but I want others to know this is not a reliable place for timely, accurate, or compassionate imaging care. read more

SimonMed is the WORST company to do business with. If you have any other option, please use them instead. I scheduled two appointments for the same day, an MRI and CT scan. Two days before my appointment, I received notification that the CT needed to be rescheduled. There was a problem with the paperwork. So I showed up for the MRI and waited 40 minutes to be seen, only to find out that they scheduled me to the wrong office. They were unable to do the scan because of an electronic implant. How does this even happen? This is not my first visit. Did no one read the notes in my chart? It's not like my doctors are waiting for the results of these scans to better be able to plan my next steps of care. read more

My Mother needed a X Ray for her hip. A representative from Simon Med called me. They scheduled an appointment for a Saturday. We showed up early. Waited in the waiting room for 40 minutes and then they tell me that they don't know why they would schedule me for a Saturday. This type of X-ray can only be done Monday through Friday as the Technician does not work Saturdays. Then they told me to come back at 8 am Monday and they would do the X -ray then. I show up 7:45 just to be told that they don't schedule appointments and there is a 2 hour wait. I talk to the supervisor who called me rude as I was explaining that this is not okay and that they need to fit us in. Mind you that I did not curse or get nasty with her. Absolute trash of a business! The front end is extremely unprofessional and uneducated. The manager is just as bad with a terrible attitude. I have been given the run around for an ultrasound. I originally went to the Sun City West location. They stated their technician was unable to do the test. Then why schedule that kind of test if you don't have anybody there that can do it?! I needed this test done before my appointment with my surgeon. They rescheduled me to the following day at a different location. I got a phone call just a few minutes before I walked out the door. I was told the technician at that location does not do that ultrasound. So now that is twice at two different locations. How do you schedule an appointment knowing damn well what the test is. Yet the technician cannot perform it. By the third time I went to the Thunderbird Location (this location I am reviewing). I verified it on the phone the day before about my appointment time. When I arrived, I was told rudely by the front end that I didn't show up on time. I informed her I was told 4 o'clock and have the text message to prove it. The technician came over and stated he did not want to do the test because he doesn't have enough time. I was told the test was an hour to an hour and a half long. The technician told me that was wrong and it was two hours. Then when I spoke to the manager she lacked knowledge of anything. Even though she was one of the managers, the previous manager from a different location already spoke to her about my appointment. That I will be coming at 4 o'clock and the technician will be able to stay late. She proceeded to tell me that the Tech leaves at 4:30. Obviously she's not very smart at math because if my appointment was at 3:15 and it takes two hours and we don't even start until say 3:25. That tech will not be able to leave until about 5:25 or later. There was nothing documented properly. The manager was absolutely no help. And they refused to do my ultrasound. Between the front end, the manager and the technician, this location is absolutely unprofessional. They were extremely rude and did not help but make matters worse. In conclusion, this has happened three times now where they cannot get their scheduling right. Nor can they figure out what technicians are capable of doing what. Don't schedule a "two hour" ultrasound at supposedly "3:15" if your tech leaves at 4:30. They are a bunch of liars and an embarrassment to Simon Med as a whole. No radiologists? Then don't set the appointments! My first appointment was scheduled and they called me because "the radiologist was busy" so they had to reschedule. Rescheduled over the phone for 2 days later. Today I got a text saying "please complete the check-in for your appointment at 2:15pm" and when I click to the website it says I don't have an appointment. I called the phone number and the rep said there is NO APPOINTMENT scheduled. Guess why! For the 2nd time in one week (at a different location than appointment #1) the person on the phone said "the radiologist is not able to do this appointment". This is insane! As a Healthcare Billing Analyst Administrator, this is SimonMed NOT doing their job and worse yet, lying about it! They hung up on my insurance with me on the line twice. They told me I owed my deductible when it's already been met. If I have issues I will simply report to the insurance company immediately as they informed me and I will file against SimonMed with the Medical Board. Living from from this facility, I traveled there four times -- and each time, was unable to have the procedure done for which I was scheduled. This could have been discerned before driving an average of 132 miles round trip: one of the times, someone canceled a procedure that could be done because another SimonMED employee decided that the original procedure could be done instead. The last straw: when I finally resolved all the technical difficulties of getting the original procedure done, I drone the nearly 90 miles to this facility -- only to be told that my medical records didn't reflect the clearance given to me by another SimonMED employee. There seems to be a disconnect between the information you provide them versus their records. I've provided them all the information required as to my medical history, onky to be told their records didn't show that this information had been provided... in writing, no less. Then there's the check-in procedure, where you are asked every question you answer in writing: when I commented that I'd provided this information three times previously (in writing), then had given them the same information in the pre-appointment check-in process, I was told "If you don't give me this information, I'm going to cancel your appointment." The last two appointments I'd made to have this procedure done, there were FOUR different check-in calls made by the company, each wanting more information that I'd repeatedly given them. Where is the information I've repeatedly given them going? The staff are rude, and dismissive. They'll interrupt frequently when you provide them your medical history... which means that my answers aren't complete. This is exactly how patients are harmed -- or, in this case, killed. Three days ago, I received a call from someone at SimonMED who said that the confusion had all been cleared up, and that I could go ahead and do the original procedure, and scheduled me for my appointment. When I arrived there, the radiology technician told me that my records did NOT reflect the open formation given me on the phone, and that I couldn't go through with the procedure. I've tried for 10 weeks, in four different appointments, to have a procedure done -- not including the one appointment that they cancelled because I was given clearance to do the procedure that I was originally scheduled for after a substitute procedure was scheduled. Frustrated that they decide to cancel the appointment after driving all that distance -- the gas prices NOT being cheap -- I expressed my dismay about this fourth (actually, fifth) appointment being cancelled after I arrived at the facility. The person who cancelled yesterday's appointment, after I'd driven into the Phoenix area, told me that she didn't care about these cancellations: she didn't have to. Never have I encountered people who are so arrogant, rude, who treat patients with contempt... having decades of experience in one aspect or another in the health care industry. I think that patients should be treated with respect... but that's simply not one of the tools in their toolkit. They're petty, controlling, and don't give a damn about how they treat patients... or the demands they've placed on them. One other thing: a week after my first appointment with SimonMED, I began getting phone calls about purchasing and/or renting equipment that is often used to treat people who have the injury (or disability) that I have. Coincidence? Is it SimonMED's policy to sell their patients' information? Or has one of their employees gone into business for themselves? It causes me to wonder where all of my medical history and personal information has gone... especially since it isn't entered into their records. Why do I think someone connected with SimonMED is responsible? It's because I've disclosed information to them that no one else has... with the exception of those who are now calling me to sell me equipment and/or services. I had to get a follow up mammogram and ultrasound due to findings on my mammogram screening. When I arrived I was told my out of pocket was over $400. That didn't sound right, I asked them to confirm and they came back and said yep, it's $400. I walked out. Called my insurance company the following day and told no, it's a $0 charge. They called SimonMed and had them notate the file. Got tests done and told I need a biopsy. Make the appt and am told it'll be over $1000 I have to pay. I call my insurance, nope it's $0. The insurance said they frequently have to call simonmed to educate them on our coverage. Do yourself a favor and always ask when you make the appt what your cost will be, get the procedure codes, then call your insurance to confirm. I'm going to go simonmed because it's where my doc sent the order and is convenient but reading the rest of the reviews I'm very concerned. read more

Actual appointment was fine. My issue is with the billing. BEWARE OF SCAM. I heard a lady in office very upset that they were collecting hundreds of dollars while she had insurance. After 30 minutes of arguing, they finally agreed that she had no out of pocket. Me not wanting to be " that person" just paid the $250 and waiting to figure it out later. Within a week I had an EOB from my insurance showing I didn't owe anything. I called the billing department and asked them, they said they did have the EOB yet ( fair enough) so I asked them when they did receive it would they issue a refund? THEIR ANSWER IS NOPE. They won't . I would have to call back and request it. I'm now waiting 4-6 weeks for a review of my account just to get my money back. If you have ever had service here check to see if you have a refund Don't just pay what they ask. Honestly I never check my EOBs so I would never know I'm owed this money. Not only did they overcharge me, but they never contacted me regarding refunding the money. Had I not discovered the overcharge, they would have just kept the money! Shady and dishonest! On 11/19/24 I scheduled a CT scan at SimonMed and the earliest appointment I could get was 12/5/24. However, on 11/30/24 I got a phone call from SimonMed saying my appointment needed to be rescheduled because they don't have a technician on 12/5/24 and the earliest I could get a new appointment is 12/23/24. This is not the first time SimonMed has rescheduled an appointment. Previously I had an MRI appointment scheduled for a Saturday. Weeks after I scheduled the MRI appointment, SimonMed called me and said it needed to be rescheduled because they don't do MRIs at that facility on Saturdays. Simon Med Imaging promotes its online Web site as to telling you how many people are "waiting" for an X-ray. I waited until there were "2 waiting" and then left for the office on 56th Avenue and Thunderbird. When I walked in, there were maybe six or seven people in the waiting room and no one at the check-in desk. I was told the wait would be an hour and 45 minutes to have an X-ray. Yes, there were two people waiting, but four others were "registered" and several waiting for a bone density exam. I was told I would have to wait an hour and 45 minutes for a 5-10 minute X-ray exam. Simon Med needs to provide a more realistic and accurate "People waiting." If they are going to lump in people waiting for a non-X-ray exam then they should say that on the Web site. read more

I found the customer service lacking here....and one tech was telling the front desk she was nauseous and sick and asking to leave. She was not wearing a mask. I had a less than stellar experience at the Surprise Location so I was glad to drive the extra distance here to get some follow up done. I was full of anxiety and such and to be honest was quite annoyed when like other reviews said my appointment time came and went. I understand that it's easy to get behind in these situations, but it was 730 am when I arrived. Once I was taken back though I had the best experience. They could tell how anxious I was and walked me through it all. The dr was so kind and while explaining everything she also took the time to get to know me a bit. From the front office to the beck everyone was nothing but wonderful to me. I appreciate that. I'll take waiting extra time to have this kind of experience any day. Will never use them again. Scheduled a Mammogram. Went in on 8/25 and was told I needed a different type of exam since my breast was sore. I was directed to call my Doc for a new type of order for ultrasound and bilateral. Did that, got the order. Then Simonmed called me and sent multuple texts to get me scheduled. I scheduled the appt for today, 45 min away from home but the earliest possible date. After an hour wait, I am told they don't have the order and they cannot proceed. 1- You had 2 weeks notice from when the appt was scheduled. How do you not tell me until I arrive that you don't have the order from my Doc? 2- You were calling and texting me to get scheduled. Why are you doing that if you don't have the order? Makes zero sense. I called my doc and sure enough they have the order from 8/25. Meanwhile, I now have no exam complete, a sore breast and I will be waiting another 2-6 weeks to get in at a different place. read more

You know why half those techs are behind? Because of you the patient. Yup you bc you show up late which will start a domino effect. This site does over 40-50 patients a day. No tech perfect and and will ever be 100% on time. So stop with these 1 stars bc someone had to wait. These techs can save your life by you getting your mri,ct,mamo or ultrasound.. These people take imagines of your insides to make sure you are healthy or your unborn child is healthy... I love going to any Simonmed site. They have a sign on the front door for which exam you need and have another office upstairs for other exam, so please read the sign.
